The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Hmmm. First suspect might be one of the monsters of Hillhurst, but that honestly doesn't feel right for this. Feels like it's probably a more mundane suspect, but could still cause all kinds of problems. Especially if the killer is a student.
Well. Huh. Was Dr Hillhurst one of Crypto Billy's many foes? Certainly sounds like the kind of person who could have gone toe to toe with Pyramid Face.
Saw my notifications; At first I’m thinking “Damnit, more Vile Necromancy!?”
But then… “Wait, that’s the author!?”
So this is news I definitely appreciate.
Cloudflare's name has come up a few times over the last few years for crap like this, though this is the worst I can remember hearing about. Considering that, I honestly have to wonder both why more people and companies don't turn elsewhere for what Cloudflare does and more broadly, how...
Fanfiction.net just came back up, so it might be several separate problems, or the general incident resolving. Spacebattles was still down but ff.net was up.
Uh. Don't know if it's related, but I'm having trouble with Royal Road too. Fanfiction.net too. Tth (Twisting the Hellmouth) is still up though. Same hosting service, or at least using similar servers?
Fake Edit: And ninja'ed.
I set up a system a while back using a chrome extension called Session Buddy to make a Queue that I can transfer between devices (laptop and PC.) Think I may have overdone it though. 7 'page' list that goes back to July 2018, each page at least 70 stories long, and I add anything new I find.
Huh. Thought QQ already had one of these. Welp, here's a little something I just finished and posted on SB and SV.
The One That Got Away
"She got away." Martin mumbled to himself blearily as he bled out on the ground. "If nothing else... At least I managed that much." He closed his eyes, his...
Pretty sure it was the same for me. Or at least, I may have been vaguely aware of QQ's existence before Amelia, but this story is definitely the main reason I signed up for an account here. Pretty sure, anyways. My memory is spotty at the best of times, admittedly, and I have been a member here...
Huh. Neat. Certainly don't often see someone not the author of a piece of fanfiction, come along and look at that piece of fanfiction and say "There should be at least a little more to this," and then get the author's permission to do that 'little more,' and more notably in this case, follow...
A big part of the problem, I think, is something that imo seems to effect prolific writers the most - the muses aren't cooperating. Alexander is getting inspiration and does seem to be writing... just not for this story. Still, it means there's a lot of content to sift through and read, even if...
Ugh. Hate those, especially since I never really pay any attention to them. There was one earlier today, but I don't think it was maintenance, I thought the most recent ones before the site went down were just more of the same.
Thanks. Was the notice about the site going under maintenance by email or just one of those popups at the bottom of the screen? I'm on Hotmail / Outlook / whatever they wanna call themselves and it seems like the whole SB / SV / QQ forum line has been having trouble sending anything through to...
Thanks, I've just floated around long enough that the near-universal dislike of finding necromanced threads on just about message board has settled in and given me a corresponding dislike of the idea of being such a necromancer myself unintentionally. One thing if I'd intended to do it, and I...
