The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
For everyone complaining about the sticky toolbar at the top, go into your site preferences menu (click your name at the top of the page and click preferences), then look for the "Sticky header navbar" setting (it's below the editor selection). Check the "disable" checkbox.
...the line. A story that's posted to NSFW, even if it doesn't have lewds of its own, is implicitly open to bringing your own.
The stories that *are* posted to SFW are those where the authors *want* to keep the fan participation clean. Which is their choice that they're very much allowed to make.
They've been complaining about using Xenforo *at all*, for all of their eight posts on this forum, mostly with scaremongering about "what if Xenforo decides to ban NSFW sites from using it?"
First of all, software doesn't stop working just because the license has been revoked, under most...
Basically, the actual license agreement says:
You also can't use Xenforo together with software you've pirated, you can't remove the copyright info at the bottom of the page without paying the fee, and you can't change it to something else without permission.
Those are basically the only...
...them revoking licenses and refusing service over NSFW would be like Microsoft deciding you can't use Word on your own computer if you write erotica.
I haven't heard of any paid forum software that didn't also *host* the forum ever revoking a license to use their software for anything.
What is it that makes Xenforo 2 so "ugly" that people can't shut up about it?
I mean, looking at the front pages of SB, SB, QQ and AH, the only Xenforo 2 specific change is that instead of the search box being permanently visible, you have to click a "search" button to see it.
SB and SV...
Try searching for +test +nope instead. That works on SB and SV. (my test search was for +battletech +gundam, first post only, and I get 12 pages of results, and all of the ones I checked that didn't include both words in either the title or the tags did contain both in the text, even as far back...
What, so the site can go another year without security patches, and end up leaking all our stuff the moment someone decides that "actually, I want your user database" for real?
...mode from anywhere while I'm reading and it being missing here is weird.
Also, people going "If you upgrade to Xenforo 2 I'm leaving" are *not helping*. Xenforo 1 is a leaky boat patched up with papier maché, one of these days one of the patched holes is going to burst open and we'll be...
My personal fave from LttP was Hyrule Castle, but I agree everything from that game was awesome.
Another 80s banger of a score: Afterburner II - though I think the tempo is off in most of the recordings I've heard, especially in the title theme. Some awkward jumps that I don't remember from...
So, I've had a video game jingle stuck in my head for like decades, and every time I looked at let's plays of the game I *knew* it was from, it wasn't the right music.
The game in question was Capcom's 1942, an arcade shooter from 1984 where you fly a P-38 off of a carrier in the Pacific...
...is also 20 words as far as the forum is concerned, which means it can't adequately be filtered for.
If you're posting something to be read, the *readers* convenience matters much, much more than the author's. At least for petty stuff like this. There's a Page Down button on your keyboard...
...a window open, and then I go cause a panic in the neighborhood, because I'm a very very large yellow-and-black buzzy thing and people tend to get *quite* scared of those. (And if it's my avatar as I think of it rather than my avatar as it is in real life, things get interesting, because in my...
...(his gun, his staff, his rings, etc) and I didn't describe the neighborhood he drove through... I could probably double this bit and it wouldn't be *padding*.
With some structure and attention, an actually *good* author could probably write fifteen hundred words of just getting to the bar...
...require a court order), and then tells Panacea her name.
If that got out, the PRT would be toast, and Panacea's reputation would be mud, and *Amy knows this*. You trust the healer because they will keep your secrets. That's why patient confidentiality is the bedrock of health care, and...
