... Sam the world won't end if you take a few days off... probably.
  2. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

Welp, that was more or less inevitable. This Admiral is probably going to have some serious egg on his face and of course this it's gonna ignite some serious discourse. Ostensibly the US has religious freedom but well... the freedom of Christian sects have always been a bit more protected than...

Oh absolutely. I am by no means a fan of the death penalty but if there's ever a time it could be justified it would be for war crimes. Also... they don't really seem to have a plan for actually getting the Eurondan nation to change. Sure getting them out of their bunkers will help but there's...
  4. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

Good chapter. The things they went through are horrific and of course they want to make sure that can never happen again. But also genocide isn't the right answer.
  5. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

How wonderful that the other faction is sexist. I think just as bad is a very very high bar. I don't think it's likely. It's clear that there's some sexism but how deep that goes is unclear.
  6. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

... yeah that's about the outcome I would have predicted. Hopefully they can manage a better outcome than canon.
  7. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

... yeah it's a thorny situation isn't it. Having magic that compelled speech would work but how do you trust that.
  8. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

    Oh right the space Nazis.
  9. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

Yeah definitely, I think the other explanations would be that they're just not good at genetics or that something weirder is going on. In one fic the ascended were intentionally sabotaging the Asgard. I've also seen stories where they only pretended to be dying for real.
  10. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

You have such an interesting take on the Asgard, they feel a lot more alien than the sorta magical gift givers of canon.
  11. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

Best of luck to Daniel.... he's gonna need it.
  12. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

So... personally I agree with this sentiment but an awful lot of people don't... I wonder if this is a cultural thing on Etheria or specific to people raised in the Horde?
  13. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

just find someone who's into not having control of their own body and make copies of them.
  14. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

    It's sad that Bra'tac did but I think it's a good choice.
  15. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

Well then, sounds like they're in a pickle.
  16. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

I hadn't even thought about the implications for the Tok'ra.... yeah needing to convince people to share their body just for the added knowledge and wisdom without health benefits is going to be tough.
  17. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

Ah yes the augment dilemma. It'll be interesting to see how you handle it.
  18. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

I agree with Jack about the Etherians being more moral than the governments of the other alliance members. And the church grows... that's probably good?
  19. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

.... yeah having comprehensive surveillance isn't going to go down well with countries that have secrets they want to keep which is all of them.
  20. Transreal Clouden

    Stargate Etheria (Stargate SG-1/She-Ra crossover)

I really like how thoughtful you are about to the politics of all this.
