    Oh, I wouldn't expect the Ministry to win, but I would expect they might try. Also, who in the Ministry knew about his dragon-ness? Gringotts? Absolutely. Hogwarts Staff? Sure. All the Ministry knew up to this point was that Harry had a centaur mount.

    Also assumes pensieves are widely available. Depending on the fic, pensieves are everywhere and easy to come by, or extremely rare (i.e:Dumbledore's is a one-of-a-kind). Not sure how our illustrious author is on the spectrum.
