    Nimrod (Worm/Elder Scrolls)

Really surprised how bad Weyland is at logical arguments. But hey, if he was better, he might have started inflicting change on the Protectorate, and would have had to be removed by Cauldron for that reason. So kind of needed for the story to happen at all? Seems good at actually thinking...

    Reality Intrudes [Worm/Matrix AU]

Probably nothing from after that moment, true. But the important meeting and greeting was actually before. And if every solid state memory chip in that helmet is destroyed, Armsmasters head most probably would be, too. ...well... unless this version of Armsmaster also has a brute rating...

    Reality Intrudes [Worm/Matrix AU]

Just out of curiosity: Is this an AU with or without such absolute basics as "helmet cams"? Or did Costa-Brown veto those because they could result in too many improvements to the Protectorate and the PRT procedures and training programs, building up from actually accurate after-action reports...

    Just a Phase [Worm]

Thing is... there is a lot of things the PRT COULD do. But they are all bad or horrible options that fit more into slaver operations than a so-called law enforcement organization. And of course - a lot of people in the PRT and Protectorate are actually of the impression that they are police...

Forging Ahead (GURPS Interstellar Wars/Celestial Forge)

Not sure if that is possible anymore, but lampshading it with a notice in the newspaper that makes it obvious if you have enought background information, or a chat over the lunch table in base about "Vilani infiltrators caught trying to get access to base X, network rolled up" at some point...

In space, the big problem is heat management. If we go by real world physics. The battletech heat sinks should mean Terran Federation ships should be able to use a Lot more powerfull energy weapons snd energy plants on their hulls. Or just more of them. Without melting.

"Let us start the War for Peace!'* ...okay, I've heard worse in the news, so that tracks. * Yes we had peace... but it could have been interrupted by war. Much better to guarantee war by starting it right now! For peace. Yes.

Forging Ahead (GURPS Interstellar Wars/Celestial Forge)

Brown dwarfs? Sure they might be hard to find, but once you've found one you know exactly where it is basically forever. Sir Isac Newton guarantees that, as long as one has proper logs, timestamps, and at least a little math. Interplanetary trajectories are easy as long as you're talking just "a...

Forging Ahead (GURPS Interstellar Wars/Celestial Forge)

Looks like this is a galaxy setting that simply does not have any of the absolutely massive amounts of brown dwarfs and red dwarf stars that our Milky Way has. But it does make for an interesting setting, so nevermind that.

Not really. There are always wild rumours. Proof of FTL coms getting out however? That might become a problem. Of course, when the alternative is "guaranteed destruction", rolling the dice is indeed the better option.

    Reality Intrudes [Worm/Matrix AU]

Question: If someone offers non-disclosure agreements in the real world, it sounds to me like unless you know you need to know whatever it is and actually trusts whoever insists you need to sign, is there any good reason whatsoever to agree, unless you live somewhere where saying 'no' carries a...

Yes, teenagers are stupid. Still, "Let's bully the master who had the Slaughterhouse Nine massacred, and eliminated all the gangs in town in couple of days" is FAR into Darwin Award territory. I also guess there also could be a cape or two trying something because of insanity and/or conflict...

Consider following (fictional) newspaper headline in january 1916: "Prince Ferdinand found alive! War cancelled!" ...do you really think the war would have ended there and there? No? No. Most definitely not. And that means the war really wasn't about him. He was the spark. No more, no less...

In 44, there were german soldiers that knew they were in trouble. Mind you, the german soldier in Norway that said this to a family member of mine, made very sure none of the other soldiers heard him. Translated to english: "We have the whole world against us. It can't go well." Not entirely...

    Overkill (Star Wars/Worm)

A jedi would probably draw their blade while stepping closer to a Sith that has an absolutely humongous dark side presence... then suddenly the force starts screaming at them to NOT get any closer, no matter what. Extreme danger!!! I'm sure nobody will misunderstand those signals. Nope.
