  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

Banner Deletion Button

Can we get a button that will delete one of the site-wide banners once we've read it? They're on top of every page and it's annoying.
 
The banners should be dismissable by a click button, if you're logged in. The button is a pretty standard X, at the right of the banner. Anyone else having problems finding it?
 
Just confirming that I don't see an X like SB and SV have there.

EDIT: I changed themes from Hydrogen and now it works. It looks like the problem's there.

Yeah, Hydrogen and Nitrogen are now unsupported, since they're quite painful to try to modify. It probably would have set the "seen already" bit across themes, so if you want you can probably switch back to it now, but changes to the Hydrogen theme aren't high-priority.
