  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

I tend to organise my posts with Bookmarks just to remember where I was, or what I've read up to. I understand that by opening a Bookmark from the Bookmark selection itself opens a thread TO the bookmarked post. That is acceptable, although fairly useless from my perspective.

An issue is that upon creating a bookmark, and selecting a thread from the general Creative Writing section - or whichever section you'd like - and opening a post manually, or perhaps even opening a backlog of built up Threadmarks/Chapters (say you haven't accessed the forum for a while), it does not automatically skip to the bookmarked post.

Instead, as of the current moment, you'd have to open 'New Threadmarks' or 'Alerts', find the title of the Thread, exit out, go to Bookmarks, and then you have to either scroll manually to find the correct title (a painstaking process if you have a lot of Bookmarks) or use the correct label (assuming you have unique bookmarks for each Thread, which can arguably be even more painstaking).

A solution I'd love to see would be any of;
  1. A search feature in the Bookmarks section for titles not just labels,
  2. A 'goto Bookmarked' in the Alerts or New Threadmarks section, or IN the threads themselves near the top.
  3. An icon of a bookmark when expanding or opening Threadmarks in-thread, to allow you to see where the bookmark is.
From I have seen, users that actually use the Bookmark feature tend to get forgotten, probably due to lack of use. I haven't seen many people actually talk about or seen friends using bookmarks outside of niche cases or select groups of users, so it's understandable.

I personally don't actively engage in the 'forum' side proper, as I tend to stick to the Creative Writing sections for pure reading reasons, it is not oft that I use anything but Reading Mode when in a story, and losing track of a bookmark, or scrolling back because I let my Threadmarks build up over a month or two, tends to create hastle.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
