Cosmic Conflict: The New-Gods Come

The Equestrian Grand Republic, once the ruling power of the galaxy, lies broken among the stars.

Famed for its speed, the Republic would soon learn that rapid conquests are something to be feared not admired. Stretched thinly across the cosmos, the Grand Republic was not prepared for the arrival of the Black Dawn Dominion.

The Black Dawn Dominion, coming from the unknown regions of space, easily destroyed the scattered fleets of the Republic. Without experiencing much resistance, the Dominion quickly conquered the Republic's eastern sphere.

The true deathblow to the Republic though was the fall of its capital world: Hussar. It was here that the true might of the Dominion was shown, for it was here that the Bearer of Infinity, one of the members of the Dominion's ruling council, created a black hole and destroyed the entire planet.

With its leadership gone and its fleets destroyed, the Republic was forced to cede its eastern territories to the Dominion, but that wasn't what truly killed the Republic. Without its iron boot crushing the will of the conquered people, many planets declared independence and broke away from the tyrannical nation.

Now, 357 years into the reign of the Black Dawn Dominion, turmoil engulfs in the galaxy.

Freya Truesteel, Witch Queen of Helandia, seeks to emulate the greatness of the Republic and build an Empire that can rival the Dominion. With this delusion of a Helandic Empire strong in her mind, Queen Freya has declared war on many of the Republic's successor states. Defeat would be certain for the Mad Queen if not for her careful alliance with the Asmelsian Empire and the Karim Theocracy.

With war brought to their systems, Resian, Ponford, and Soc rally their armies in a loose coalition to vanquish these Tyrants. Though the grudges of the past have not been forgotten, these nations unite to maintain their sovereignty. But for how long can this new unity survive under the war's constant blows?

In the East of the Galaxy lies the Black Dawn Dominion: the current ruler of the Galaxy. It has declared neutrality, yet prepares its troops for war. Are the successors of the Republic prepared to fight the giant of the East?

War has come to the galaxy The planetary lords rally their banners to fulfill their sacred duties. Men ready arms to protect those they hold dear. Sons raise banners to earn prestige and gold as cutthroats raid the now undefended outskirts.

It is a time of warring states where anyone can carve out a place in history.

However, the wars will not be the immediate focus of this tale.

Beneath the gaze of all the players, a new power rises.

A new being, one that can shape worlds, has arrived. This entity, capable of destroying entire nations and raising timeless wonders, has come to take the reigns of destiny. A new God, a new divine, has entered the stage.

Alright then. If I start this quest back up then I'll have three quest in progress. This quest, its twin on Spacebattles which desperately needs an update, and another quest I'm getting ready to post/start up.

I don't mind starting this quest back up, but know that I'm slow writer so updates will be slow and relatively infrequent. Not to mention that I'm currently in the end days of my college semester, so I have other work to do such as classes, homework, and other personal non-academic things.

I'll close this vote at Wednesday (October 21) at 6:00pm CDT to give any other stragglers time to come across this quest. Better go dig up my notes.
