A normal evening in Kuoh city.

The sun was on its way to illuminate the other part of Earth while the moon was slowly ascending on the sky.

The students from Kuoh Academy were on their way returning to their homes or just fooling around the city.

The adults were either picking up their kids and returning home or doing the overwork which won't add extra money to their pockets.

Truly a normal day in Japan. No gas leaks, no murder incidents and nothing bizarre has occurred…yet.

Among the people in this small city, there was a special boy who just arrived home.

The boy had medium-length black hair and a pair of silver eyes. At first sight, he could be described as a normal person, even handsome, but still normal.

His name was Kamiya Touma, a 17 years old boy and a 2nd-year student at Kuoh Academy.

Then what makes him special you ask?

It was the fact that he was a reincarnator, someone who died and isekaied to another world. In his case, he awakened his memory 3 years ago when he started high school.

As soon as he was aware of this, Touma discreetly researched himself and concluded that he was…a normal human with no direct affiliation to the supernatural side.

He even tried to get in contact with the so famous mana or sacred gear, but he only got disappointed as it ended up in failure…

Which forced him to take the other route: Stay the fucking away from the supernatural and acting normal until something happens in his life.

His interactions with the devils in the town were almost non-existent, except for his friend, as Touma only spoke to Sona once or twice for small matters and he always made sure to avoid getting attention from them.

"I'm home!" Touma announced as he took off his shoes and changed them into slippers.

"…"

"No one is at home? Strange." Touma scratched the back of his head as he was greeted with silence. Shrugging his shoulders, he went to the kitchen and opened the fridge to get something to drink.

"What's this?" Touma asked as he grabbed a plastic bottle with a colorful drink inside. "What weird thing did dad buy this time?"

"…Grind and Pray, a salty drink, warning: contains a high amount of…copium?" Touma raised an eyebrow as he read the brand, which he had never heard of in his life, not to mention the feeling of dread that he was feeling from this thing…

"Whatever, I might as well consider this as revenge for stealing my pudding." Then without hesitation, he opened the bottle and drank it in one go.

"I was lied to, this tastes like strawb—what the hell is this?" Touma raised his voice in surprise when a transparent blue screen appeared in front of his eyes.

[Essence of Gacha]

→It is possible to obtain a living being/item/ability from all works of fiction or a consumable item. (It is also possible to obtain other essences, but chances are very low.)

→Summoned living beings will be loyal to the summoner and won't think of harming you intentionally in any way, however, note that they won't always obey your orders especially if it is against their morals.

→There are other consumables that increase the capability of the ability or item, modify the appearance of an item or a living being and even change a person's personality. However, they are a One-Time use only.

→You earn 1 GP (Gacha Point) per day.

→You need 3 GP per roll.

(E/D: Hm... 121 rolls each year and 122 if it is a linear year. That's like my Genshin account.)

→You can exchange any currency to GP, but it will depend on the value of the currency and there is a limit on how much you can exchange per month.

→You can pull 10 rolls by spending 30 GP and it will guarantee at least one good card.

→Cards related to the world you currently reside in will have Rate-Up.

Touma frowned as he read the text and soon found himself conflicted between excitement and despair.

On one hand, he finally got his cheat or also known as the golden finger. But on the other hand…it's gacha.

In the realm of infinite possibilities, you will only get shit rolls. And the guaranteed "good" roll is just a scam for you to spend more.

"…I think I know why that drink is called that." Touma muttered as he stared at the bottle with a melancholic look.

In his past life, Touma was among the type of gamers that needed to touch grass frequently, the Gacha players.

They were a group of gambling addicts who spent money on 2D png girls/boys and the salt in their blood was higher than in the Dead Sea.

Sighing in defeat, Touma had to accept the reality he was in. He walked resignedly to his room and laid on the bed. Shifting his body into a comfortable position, Touma took his time to explore the Essence.

And guess what he first checked? That's right, Gacha.

[⅓]

Gacha – Highschool DxD Rate Up!

GP: 1

1 Roll - 3 GP

10 Roll - 30 GP

10 Roll - [FREE — BEGINNER ROLLS] (One Time Opportunity)

The temptation was great and the Gacha was whispering beside his ear, but Touma held back and convinced himself that he would do it after he explored the other features.

The second is Status, something common in every system out there in the omniverse.

[⅔]

Kamiya Touma

Race: Human

Age: 17

Character Assimilation

Fully Assimilated: None.

In Progress: [Empty] [Empty] [Empty] [Empty]

Summons

None.

Abilities

None

And the third was Inventory, with infinite space and the time being stopped there, but it wasn't capable of storing living beings.

Touma returned to the Gacha section and did his beginner rolls.

"Oh Almighty RNGesus in Heaven, please bless this foolish lamb with good luck!"

Touma closed his eyes and repeated the verse with his hands in prayer. And then…

Black Keys (3) (FATE)

Kirei's homemade Mapo Tofu (FATE)

Black Keys (3) (FATE)

Cheonmujiche (Ending Maker)

Black Keys (3) (FATE)

Light Container (DxD)

Kirei's homemade Mapo Tofu (FATE)

Kirei's homemade Mapo Tofu (FATE)

Indestructible Mystic Eyes Killer (FATE)

Crest of Star EX (FATE)

"Rate-up is a fucking lie…" Touma muttered, after getting only one thing from DxD, but he wasn't really that disappointed for a beginner roll, on the contrary, he was feeling quite lucky by those two rolls.

First, Cheonmujiche was a physical trait possessed by the protagonist of the novel/manhwa Ending Maker and it was also called "The Incarnation of Martial Arts from the Heavens". It is a trait that allowed Jude Bayer, the protagonist, to be skilled at everything he did with his body.

If a normal person mastered something in 10 years, a genius would be able to do the same it in a year or two and Cheonmujiche would reduce it to a month.

Next was the Crest of Star, a skill originally possessed by Altera that allowed her to temporarily enhance the performance of any part of the body by expending mana through it. Not to mention that it also gives the same effect as Instinct and it costs little mana, although the explosiveness isn't comparable to Mana Burst.

Touma put everything he got in the inventory and infused Cheonmujiche and the Crest of Star into himself. Immediately, Touma felt something crawling all over his body. He pulled the collar of his shirt and saw white lines across his chest that went to his limbs and neck.

"Neat."

Touma got up from the bed and changed into casual clothes.

Then he walked downstairs and went to the kitchen. He put on an apron to not dirty his clothes and was about to cook, but the front door suddenly opened.

""We are home!""

Two voices echoed through the house and Touma widened his eyes. His parents returned, but an hour earlier than usual!

Tendou and Rika were the names of Touma's father and mother respectively.

Tendou owned a dojo where members of the kendo club and some enthusiasts often visited to practice outside of school and Rika worked as an office lady for a famous company. So Touma usually had to make the dinner as he was the first one to return home.

"Sorry, we forgot to tell you that we were returning early today!" Tendou said in an apologetic tone. "We had to close earlier than usual because there have been incidents of people missing these days, so take extra care when returning home."

Remember when the narrator said there were no bizarre occurrences? Yes, it was also a fucking lie.

"Luckily, for the first time in ages, the manager also dismissed everyone earlier." Rika said as she took off her coat. "Let mom help you with cooking."

Touma suddenly remembered his beloved pudding that was eaten by his dad and a malefic thought crossed his mind.

"There is no need, Mom," Touma said, barely containing the grin on his face. "I have already made dinner, so sit down."

As Touma was facing back at them, his parents couldn't see what he was going to do. So, he opened the Inventory and took out the Mapo Tofu.

"Sorry, mom, but anything for revenge…" Touma muttered as he turned around with two bowls of Mapo Tofu in his hands.

The Dojo
It was Saturday morning.

Touma was alone in the dojo, preparing the equipment for today. Normally, this was done by his father, but he…wasn't in the shape to work after what happened last night. Thankfully, his mother doesn't work on weekends and Touma could handle the dojo affairs.

Touma wiped the sweat on his forehead as he finished putting the equipment on their respective shelves. He looked at the time and it still had some time left for them to arrive.

Touma sighed and muttered to himself. "I hope this finally works.".

This was a problem that had been haunting him since he reincarnated, his mana.

Touma had tried several methods to awaken his own mana pool by himself, but all attempts were unsuccessful so far.

Meditation, training his body to its limits every day and other methods he thought so far didn't work, at least for him.

This could be considered his last attempt in awakening it before Touma had to ask for external help, as he didn't want to rely too much on the Essence, as he knew enough that heavily relying on one thing might lead one astray…

His plan was simple. Just like a newborn baby that needed a little slap in the ass to learn how to breathe, Touma planned to activate his Crest of Star and forcefully awaken his mana.

When he received the Crest, he instinctively learned how to use it, the same goes for the other things he received or will receive.

So without wasting his precious time, Touma quickly activated the Crest of Star.

The white markings engraved on his body started to glow, symbolizing the activation of the skill. At that moment, a flux of foreign energy entered his body, giving him a feeling of power.

Touma was grinning excitedly like a kid who just got a new toy.

"So this is the famous mana! I feel like I could punch through a wall!" Touma said excitedly, almost shouting, and tried to punch the air. And as he expected, it was way faster and had a lot of force behind it.
After the punch, it was followed by a series of punches, kicks, jabs, etc.

(E/D: Just finished Retsu Isekai. Now I imagine everything as Baki. This scene just reminded me of Katsumi testing out his new arm.)

It was an addictive feeling, Touma felt like he had unlimited energy and power, but he held back and stopped sending mana to the Crest of Star. As there was a quote "Power corrupts a person" or something like that.

Touma arranged his clothes and looked at the clock on the wall.

"They should arrive at any moment…" Touma muttered and he was right, because as soon as he said that, the doorbell rang and the door was opened by a girl.

"Excuse us." The same girl said as she entered with a group of teenagers behind her.

She was Sona Sitri, or Sona Shitori in the human world, she was a young woman with a slim figure, black hair styled in a short bob cut and violet eyes.

And as you may guess, the group led by her was the student council, which consisted only of reincarnated devils that belonged to Sona's peerage.

Seeing them caused a slight frown on Touma's face, as he knew that they were nothing but trouble magnets but he relaxed his facial expression to not show anything.

'I am not the same as before…' Touma internally thought and decided that he would stop hiding as soon as he got stronger than someone.

The reason the student council came to this dojo was due to a contract that Sona made with Tendou Kamiya, which allowed them to practice privately in the dojo while Tendou acted as an instructor and a good start for creating some battle foundation for the newbies.

While Tendou was a pure human, he was a master of kendo, sojutsu (Japanese spear martial art) and some others. For that reason, he decided to settle in his own dojo in Kuoh and that's when he met Rika.

"Good morning everyone." Touma said and turned around. "Come in, I was waiting for you."

"Kamiya-kun?" Sona exclaimed in surprise, not expecting to see Touma here. "Where is Kamiya-sensei?"

Knowing that she was referring to his father, he felt there was no need to hide the "truth".

"Sorry, my father suffered a terrible stomachache and he is still recovering from it. So I am here to substitute for him." Touma said with a smile as if he wasn't the cause of it.

"But don't worry, although I don't know how I am compared to my father in teaching, I promise that my skills aren't any worse than his."

Sona pondered for a moment before nodding. While she hasn't seen his skills directly, she heard Touma's skills being praised several times, even within the student council.

"Very well. I wish your father to get well soon." Sona said before gesturing to the girls to go to the locker room and change clothes.

"Please go easy on me." Saji approached Touma with a nervous smile.

Touma only chuckled at his friend. "You know I can't do that. You won't learn anything if there is no pain."

Touma first met Saji in the first year of highschool when they were in the same class. Initially, Touma avoided him because he didn't take any chances to get involved with the supernatural.

However, everything changed at the beginning of the second year. Saji became a devil and sought a way to get stronger in order to help Sona.

That's when he heard about Touma's father owning a famous local dojo, so Saji reached for Touma and after a few weeks of interacting with each other, they eventually became friends.

Saji smiled wryly as he went to the male's locker room. "Hahaha…Then I will be in your care."

–––––––<––––––>––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––<–––––––>–––––––––

(Sona's POV)

I and the girls left the locker room all wearing training outfits.

We saw Touma and Saji already in the spacious room with equipment organized in different sections.

"President." Touma called me and I noticed that he had a notebook in his hand. "So let me check if this is correct. Meguri-san will train in kendo, Shinra-san will train in naginatajutsu and the rest will be training in hand-to-hand combat?"

(Naginatajutsu = Japanese martial arts of wielding Naginata, a polearm weapon.)

"Yes." I nodded in affirmation.

Although I, Reya and Momo, my bishops, were more oriented in spell casting, it wouldn't hurt to learn some close-range techniques.

If only Rias was more interested in strengthening her peerage's overall strength instead of constantly searching for new members for her peerage and spoiling them constantly.

I don't have any ill intent towards them, on the contrary, I find them nice to talk to and easy to befriend with. However, each of them has personal problems and traumas which Rias isn't actively trying to confront and resolve.

Not that Rias didn't care about her peerage, no, it was the opposite. Rias cared too much about them, so much so, that she was afraid to approach those topics for fear that it might cause them pain…

Just thinking about this gave me a headache, not even adding to the fact that there was a stray devil hidden in the city that had already killed a lot of people…

(E/D: I am thinking the cliche will happen and Touma will be the one to kill it while the others watch like idiots.)

I sighed tiredly and rubbed my temples.

"Are you ok, President? Do you want to rest for a bit?" The vice-president of the student council and my queen, Tsubaki Shinra, asked worriedly, seeing the frown on my face.

"It's nothing, Tsubaki. I am completely fine, just thinking of some troublesome matters." I said and reassured her.

Then I looked towards the instructor, who was a year younger than me and was my underclassman, with a conflicted expression.

On one hand, my instincts kept telling me that this boy was special since the first time I saw him on the school campus.

And that's why I found myself conflicted, it was checked that he didn't possess a Sacred Gear, nor was he a descendant of a famous historical figure. The only clue I had about him was his talent in martial arts which was greater than even my peers, who have been in the battlefield.

Kamiya Touma was truly a mysterious individual.

We finished the warm-ups and Touma called everyone to gather around him.

"Let's see…I will first distribute some exercises for everyone in their field, while I first focus on Shinra-san, then Meguri-san and finally the rest of everyone. Is that ok?" Touma asked us.

I turned around to look at my peerage to see if anyone had objections and there were none, so I turned around and nodded in affirmation.

"Good, then first…" And Touma started explaining the exercises to us.

(E/D: The entire Sona POV was written in 3rd person like the words Sona and herself were used. Today, I was reminded why I exist and for what reason, I continue to edit these FFs.)

–––––––<––––––>––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––<–––––––>–––––––––
(Narrator POV)

Touma and Tsubaki stood in front of each other, all geared up with protective equipment.

"Before anything, I would like to assess your skills, so up to a friendly spar?" Touma asked in clear anticipation. He wanted to test his abilities and who was a better target than a devil's queen piece?

"I accept." Tsubaki said as she picked a wooden naginata and swung it to make herself familiar with it. "What are the rules?"

"The rules are simple. The one being hit three times loses and also no targeting vital spots. Do you agree with it?"

"I agree." Tsubaki nodded and walked away to give some distance between them. "I would advise you to not underestimate me or else you might lose."

'I know…' Touma didn't reply to her taunt, he simply picked up a wooden staff and returned to his spot. He reached into his pocket and took out a coin. "When the coins fall on the ground, the spar begins. Ready?"

Tsubaki nodded and without wasting any more time, Touma tossed the coin into the air and they immediately entered into a battle stance.

The coin flipped through the air and reached its peak, before falling due to gravity.*Cliiing!*

The coin fell on the ground and in that instant, Tsubaki charged at Touma with the naginata raised in the air.

Touma widened his eyes as she was faster than anyone Touma had seen so far, but he didn't let that fact distract him.

Touma stepped aside as soon as she was in his range and moved his staff to intersect her naginata, bringing it down to knee level.

'Strong!' Even if she was holding back, the devil's physiology gave her a strength above the average joe, which made her strikes quite heavy.

Touma let out a silent grunt and spun the staff, letting the other end of it knock the naginata away and immediately went for her stomach.

Tsubaki was surprised for a second, but she managed to dodge by jumping back and avoiding the staff.

'Amateurish.' Touma thought as he pinpointed some weak spots in her guard, which Touma gladly explored.

This time, it was Touma who was the attacker.

He raised the staff and swung it down with some force behind it, which forced Tsubaki to defend by raising naginata to intercept.

Touma knew she would do this. He knew he was at the disadvantage in terms of physical strength, speed, etc. So he only needed to overwhelm her with skill, which he didn't lack.

Before the staff made contact with her weapon, Touma lowered his hip, caught her by surprise and swung the staff toward her knees.

One!

Touma hit Tsubaki one time!

Tsubaki grunted in silence and ignored the pain she was feeling to dodge another attack from Touma.

She charged once forward again and swung down her naginata at him. Touma raised the staff horizontally to defend and the naginata hit his staff. However it didn't end there, Tsubaki spun her weapon and tried to use the backend of the naginata to knock the staff off.

Touma smiled slightly knowing what she was doing, so one of his hands let go of the staff while he sidestepped. The staff made a half-moon movement and hit Tsubaki's knee again!

Two!

Tsubaki was growing annoyed and impatient as this went on. Not only could her opponent read her movements, but she would also lose at this rate!

So she immediately struck at Touma and started her barrage, trying to overwhelm him with physical strength.

Seeing her attempt, Touma could only do one thing: Dodge!

No way that he would tank her attacks as it would mostly result in him being hit, so he chose to flee from her range.

Touma rolled on the ground and ran to escape her attacks. This caused Tsubaki to chase him while trying to hit him, which looked like a comedic scene taken from a movie. A vein popped out of her forehead as she grew more impatient and infuriated.

"Stop running!" Tsubaki yelled as she swung the naginata at him, only for Touma to roll again.

"No." He replied between breaths before stopping suddenly.

Tsubaki grinned and swung from below, which would block him from rolling on the ground again.

But that was a mistake.

Touma blocked the naginata with the staff, which made his hands go numb for a second because of the impact of her strike, but that was fine and the reason for that was because she was wide open!

Tsubaki widened her eyes in realization as she immediately jumped back while bringing her naginata in front of her to defend, but it was too late.

Touma was already in motion to strike his staff in her belly region.

"And three." Touma said as the sound of the chestplate being hit rang through the dojo.

(E/D: It is confirmed, Nigerundayo solves all problems.)

Hunter and the Hunted
The defeat of Tsubaki brought a great shock to the student council, after all, their queen just lost to a normal human!

Although they knew that the vice president wouldn't use all her strength against someone without a reason, she was still a devil with the Queen piece!

This hurt Sona's pride, both as a King and best friend, but it didn't raise any hostility towards Touma. On the contrary, she became more interested in him and the thought of recruiting him to her peerage crossed her mind.

'Maybe a Knight piece would fit him.' Sona thought, but she immediately shook her head, 'I will need to discuss this with others first.'

Unaware of their thoughts, Touma took off his helmet and looked at the defeated queen with a professional smile.

'It's a shame that I didn't have the opportunity to use my abilities, but it's not like I am in need to show off.' I thought as I extended my hand for a friendly handshake. "Shinra-san, your physical capabilities are amazing, probably the most astonishing I have seen so far, but because of that you have grown too reliant on it which makes you more prone to make mistakes. It was a nice spar."

Tsubaki looked at his hand for a second and smiled. "I feel the same. Thanks for your guidance." She shook his hand with her own.

Then Touma gave her some pointers and went to instruct other members…

–––––––<––––––>––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––<–––––––>–––––––––

After a couple of hours, the training session ended and they were preparing to leave, including Touma, as he was about to close the dojo for the day.

However, he couldn't just let them go without getting any information. Although he doesn't know anything specific about it, his instinct was telling him that it was related to the supernatural.

"Wait Shitori-san." Touma called her. Sona turned around and looked at him with question marks popping out of her head. "Did you hear about the case of missing people?"

Sona was caught off guard by his question as she didn't expect it. Choosing her words carefully, Sona replied in a manner that a normal person could understand.

"I heard from someone I know that there is a murderer around Kuoh who is hiding in the buildings of his victims, but apparently he only attacks at night." Sona said. 'He must be worried about his and his family's safety.'

"But don't worry, it seems that police will soon catch this psycho." Sona added, trying to reassure Touma. 'It seems that we need to kill the stray before it causes more damage! If it wasn't for its great concealment, it would have died long ago!'

"I see." Touma nodded and he started putting the odds together. 'That someone must be the higher-ups, so it's probably either Sirzechs or Serafall. And the murder is mostly like a stray devil.'

"Thanks for telling me.." Touma said while waving his hand "Be careful of your way!"

The student council bid their farewell as well and finally left.

Touma watched them leave and the smile on his face gradually faded. His expression turned serious and he looked over the city.

"It seems like the opportunity to test my skill has arrived." Touma said as he closed and locked the doors.

Before he went hunting the stray, Touma messaged his parents that he was going to have lunch outside.

Now, as every hunter does, Touma has to search for his prey.

'If what Sona said is correct, then the stray is mostly active at night and will rest in the daylight, almost like a vampire.' Touma thought as he strolled around the residential areas of Kuoh.

He took an onigiri that he stored in the [Inventory] and ate it.

Patience was a virtue.

It took hours and hours until Touma found the location and by that time, it was already afternoon.

From outside, the building looked completely normal, but the ominous feeling that it released was menacing.

"Excuse me, ma'am." Touma reached an elderly that was passing by. "I have some questions that I would like to ask."

"Hello, young man." The granny smiled upon being greeted. "Sure, I will answer for a handsome boy like you."

"Do you know who lives here?" Touma asked as he pointed at the house.

"Oh, it's the Kobayashi family, if I recall correctly. Their youngest son has been playing with my granddaughter lately, maybe they will even marry in the future." The granny laughed heartily before turning towards Touma. "Why do you ask about them? Did something happen?"

"Nothing like that, I am just doing a survey for my school project, but no one answered the door when I rang the bell." Touma casually lied, feeling some pity from the family and granny's granddaughter.

"I see, then have good luck on your project!" Granny said as she waved her hand and walked away.

'It seems that no one has noticed anything yet, so that means the stray still has some rationality to hide its tracks.' Touma thought and gradually approached the door.

He jumped over the fence and immediately summoned the Black Keys from [Inventory].

A red 'T' object appeared between each of Touma's knuckles.

Touma activated the Crest of Star and quickly went to the backyard. He approached the door and twisted the handle.

'It's unlocked.' He thought as he pushed it open but in that instance. The smell of rotten flesh had reached his nose.

'Fuck!' It was a disgusting smell and Touma held himself back from puking right there.

Not wanting to stay there any further, Touma rushed forwards and arrived at the living room. He widened his eyes when he saw three corpses, with flies flying everywhere around them. But what surprised Touma was the fact that they looked dry and withered.

'So it really was a vampire!' Touma thought and with a quick inspection, he didn't find the vampire on this floor.

So he went upstairs.

Touma silently opened the door of the master bedroom and finally found his target!

The room was dark, with the windows covered with curtains, which blocked the sunlight from entering. On the king-sized bed, the stray was laying there, sleeping.

The stray, like others of the same category, has a monstrous appearance.

It was a humanoid bat with gray skin, sharp long canines hanging out of the mouth, and a pair of big bat wings on his back.

Touma remained unfazed as he passed mana through the Black Keys and a sharp blade immediately came out of the top of each 'T'.

Without a sound, Touma raised his arms in a cross in front of his chest. So, without wasting time, Touma threw them at the stray devil.

The Black Keys pierced the flesh of the stray and the beloved weapon of Church immediately started doing its work, as blue flames covered the weapon itself and burned the stray at the same time.

The stray was woken up, but by this point, it was already too late for him, as his screams became the requiem of his own death.

"Devil and vampires are powerful creatures of darkness." Touma spoke, feeling pointless at remaining silent anymore, as he watched the stray burn by his weapons, but he didn't feel that was enough. So he brought more Black Keys from the [Inventory] and threw them at the vampire. "And because of that, they also possess many weaknesses, like the holy element and weapons like this."

Black Keys were weapons created by a certain priest in the past, who was also a swordsman at the same time, and the main purpose of this weapon was to kill Dead Apostles, which were equivalent to vampires in this DxD.

"Now time to pray, vampire." Touma said and threw more Black Keys at the stray devil.

"I will kill. I will let live."

"I will harm and I will heal."

"None shall escape my grasp. None will escape my sight."

The vampire let out a screech as some parts of its body already turned to ash.

"Be crushed. I welcome those who have grown old and those who have lost."

"Devote yourself to me, learn from me, and obey me."

"I give you rest."

"I will lighten your burdens and make you forget about them."

"You find forgiveness here. On my incarnation, I swear–" Touma threw the last Black Key at the corpse of the stray, which collapsed in a pile of ash, with the rest of Black Keys laying on the floor. "–Kyrie Eleison."

Touma finished the chant and sighed.

"The holy business leaves me with a heavy atmosphere." Touma muttered as he went to pick up the Black Keys and returned them to the [Inventory]. "Hopefully, I won't be too involved with them."

(A/N: How to raise a flag 101.)

(E/D: Your next line will be, "It was a cliche all along")

(A/N: It was clich--What!?)

Out of curiosity, he looked around the room and saw a safe box.

So, as the good samaritan he was, he stored it in [Inventory] and went to take any money he saw in the house.

'This is the payment for your revenge.' Touma muttered as he took a Summoning Pamphlet from the [Inventory] and activated it before throwing it to the house.

At the same time, Touma immediately baited out and ran as fast as he could to his home.

–––––––<––––––>––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––<–––––––>–––––––––

Already in his home, Touma took a quick shower to get rid of the smell and sat on his bed.

"Let's do this." He said excitedly as he exchanged all money in his [Inventory], even the one inside the safe box, to GP (Gacha Points)

(E/D: This hurts... my... my wallet... Gacha!)

(Gacha: You mean, our wallet!)

"Three multis…" Touma muttered and opened the Gacha tab. "I will pull twice and leave the last for the future."

Then Touma pressed his finger on the [10 Roll] button.

Finally Gacha
A/N: So I wanted to clarify that when I compared Dead Apostles to Vampires, I meant they were similar in terms of behaviour and not in strength :)

Enjoy the chapter!

Touma saw a white sphere with several cards rotating around it.

He was trembling internally in anticipation, both in fear and anticipation. And finally, destiny showed what it awaited to him.

[Character Card: Lancer Servant Percival (FATE)]

[Perfected Sacred Gear Stealer (DxD)]

[Weakness Removal Card]

[Power Boost Card]

[Archangel Gabriel's Favorite Underwear (DxD)]

[World Travel Ticket: Campione]

[Power Boost Card]

[Dull Blade (Genshin Impact)]

[Senzu Beans (5) (Dragon Ball)]

[Azazel's Gender Bender Gun (DxD)]

Touma had mixed feelings about this. At one side, he got really good rolls, such as the Percival card, which he would assimilate and even world travel tickets! But…

"…What the hell is this roll?"

What would he do with Gabriel's underwear and the gun? Make a shrine like Rudeus and genderbend his enemies?

While the first didn't sound as bad as the last one, Touma couldn't see himself doing it. It was a question of dignity and sanity.

*Sigh*

"I just have to keep moving forward…" Then Touma rolled again.

[Character Card: Flerken (Marvel)]

[Fountain of Youth (NNT)]

[Absolute Fire Retardant Towel]

[Stand Arrow (JoJo)]

[Devil Summoning Circle: Phenex (DxD)]

[An Inextinguishable Flame Hat]

[Character Card: Masayuki Honjou (Tensura)]

[Clark Kent's Disguise Glasses (DC)]

[Item Fusion Card]

[Indestructible Brick]

(E/D: I like that. I can use that)

Touma immediately summoned the Fountain of Youth. A silver cup appeared with a pink liquid contained in it and without hesitation, Touma drank it in one gulp.

"It tastes like cherry, but sweeter." Touma said and he…didn't feel any change.

Touma took a Black Key and made a small cut on his hand, but the wound immediately disappeared alongside the pain.

"I just gained a form of immortality, but even then an immortal can die." He said that, but he wasn't sad at all. On the contrary, Touma was really happy with the results.
And now…Percival and Masayuki. Two characters he just got which Touma planned to assimilate.

Percival possessed a powerful Noble Phantasm, The Spear of Longinus, which not only could rival Rhongomyniad in terms of firepower, but it also has the ability to heal others.
And Masayuki, he would be considered a brave yet cowardly hero. His situation was almost the same as Ainz, except that everyone misunderstood him because his skill [Chosen One] made Masayuki viewed as a hero, even if he didn't want to.

If the skill was used properly, it would become quite an addition to the arsenal.

Assimilating both of them, this time Touma could tell the change. All his physical capabilities made a significant leap forwards and reached the realm of 'super human'.

Maybe it will take him months or even years, but he didn't plan to sit and wait that much until it completes the assimilation. No, he will try to find a way to find a way to speed up the process.

"And finally…" Touma stared at the arrow with a golden head. "My dream has finally come true!"

With a swift motion, Touma pierced the arrowhead in his hand.

ゴ ゴ ゴ ゴ ゴ

"So…this is my stand." Touma couldn't stop grinning because one of his dreams came to reality! And it was to get his own Stand!

Looking properly at his Stand, Touma chuckled because it looked bizarre, exactly as he wanted.

It had a white humanoid figure, wearing black tuxedo and had number 7 between each knuckle in its hand. Not only that, it has tubes that connect its mouth to a couple of cylinders on its back, somewhat similar to Dio's The World.

(A/N: Like the copium emoji.)

"A name…I need a name…!" Touma muttered as he thought of several names in his head, until it finally came to him. "I know!"

"Let's call you 'Laplace's Unicorn'!" Touma pointed at his stand, which simply nodded. "I knew you would like it!"

'Not that it could object anyways.' Touma thought internally, but he just shook his head.

"Let's see…" Touma commanded Laplace to walk as much distance as possible.
"Range about 20M."

"And its ability is…" Touma frowned and sighed. "Of course it has to be it, for an avid gacha player like me, this ability is perfect for me."

What was his Stand ability? That's right, probability manipulation inside the range of 50M with the Laplace as the center.

"But nevertheless, it's a powerful ability. I wonder if this also affects the Essence?" Touma rubbed my chin, but he only had one multi left and he has no intention to waste it over curiosity.

Shaking his head, Touma called Laplace back and went to have dinner before going to hunt Stay Devils around Kuoh…

"I sense disturbance in the city."

It's been a few days since then and Touma was back to school, precisely at lunch break on the rooftop.

"...What are you talking about?" Saji asked looking weirdly at Touma while munching on a yakisoba sandwich.

"The camera I set up around the Church caught the arrival of fallen angels."

"Oh I se–What!?" Saji was almost caught by how casually Touma answered him. "How did yo–I mean, a-are you in your chuunibyou phase?"

Touma looked at Saji for a second and sighed.

"You don't need to pretend, I know about the supernatural and you guys being devils."

"..." Saji was speechless at him, but thinking back again, it may be natural seeing how skilled Touma was, even if the student council had a physical advantage over him.

"So…Should I tell the president?" Saji asked, but Touma shook his head.

"You can tell her if you want, but she probably will tell you to do nothing."

"Why? They are fallen angels, aren't they? They can't just enter the devil's territory without any notice."

"It's precisely because of them being fallen angels that Sona is afraid of confronting them directly. She doesn't want to cause a conflict that may lead to war." Touma said as he looked at the church's direction. "While it's not the worst decision, it also isn't the wisest decision to do either."

"But still…I will talk to the president about this."

"Sure, suit yourself."

..

.

..

"We do nothing." Sona said to Saji, who had a disappointed expression.

Touma looked at Saji with a 'I told you' expression.

Then Sona looked at Touma with a raised eyebrow. "I never knew you were aware of the supernatural, Kamiya-kun."

"It's just that I never talked to anyone about it and nobody asked me either, president." Touma replied honestly.

"I see." Sona nodded and brought a chess board from under the desk."How about a friendly chess game?"

"Sorry, but I have to decline." Touma instantly rejected it and turned around. "And since Saji already has done what he came here for, I will take my leave."

"Just one moment, Kamiya-kun." Sona said and Touma stopped at the doorway. "Have you thought about joining a peerage?"

"No… I don't think I will."

"I understand. Then have a good day, Kamiya-kun."

"For you too then." Touma said and left the student council room.

In the hallway, Touma heard some screams from outside and he peeked up out of curiosity. There was the pervert trio being chased by the kendo club girls.

"Laplace." Touma muttered and his stand manifested behind him.

Then he took out the Sacred Gear Stealer, which had a form of a small white cross and gave it to Laplace.

His Stand left from the window and went behind Issei. In a single movement, Laplace put the Sacred Gear Stealer on his chest zone and a red orb came out of it, which was caught by Laplace and returned to Touma.

"Ugr." Issei touched his chest with a frown.

"What happened, Issei? Did you get a heart attack from being beaten up by the girls?" His friend asked jokingly as all of the trio had bruises everywhere.

"Of course not, idiot! it's just I feel strange for some reason…" Issei said with evident discomfort in his voice.

"Issei, you…don't tell me you got turned on from being beaten by them?"

"..."
Meanwhile, Touma looked at the red orb in his hand and grinned.

"Nice to meet you, Red Dragon Emperor. And don't worry, I will soon find a new host for you."

A Contract and A Deal
[You...What did you do, human?] A deep voice came out from the orb.

Touma already went to a secluded area to avoid people hearing them, so it was just between him and Ddraig.

"I severed the connection between Boosted Gear and Issei's soul, simply as that, Ddraig."

[Do you think I don't know that? I am asking how he is alive. I have experienced such thefts before and all of the times ends up with my host dying. So I will ask again, what did you do?]

"Nothing special, just a perfected tool that the fallen created. Sacred Gear can be extracted safely from the hosts as long as they don't awaken them before." Touma said, retelling the information when he got the Perfected Sacred Gear Stealer.

[I see…I think I should be grateful in a way that you didn't kill my host.]

Touma raised an eyebrow looking at the red orb in his hand. "You won't ask what I am going to do with you?"

[Hmpf! What else would you steal me for? Everyone desires my power to fulfill their own ambitions.] Ddraig said in an arrogant ttone.

"Well, you aren't wrong. However, you aren't exactly right either."

[So? You are telling me that you stole the Boosted Gear not for yourself, but for someone else?] Ddraig said in a mocking tone and laughed.

"Bullseye." Touma said and Ddraig stopped laughing.

[You…don't wish for my power? To double your power every 10 seconds on the base form?] Ddraig asked in an indignation, having his pride hurt. After all, this was the first time a human (who wasn't the host of Albion or other Longinus users) said that his powers weren't desired.

"Although your powers are very powerful, I have no intentions of getting it for myself."

Ddraig could tell that Touma was being truthful, so he finally asked.

[Then what is your goal?]

"It's quite simple, Ddraig. All I want is to live in this world and protect what is mine. However, doing everything alone is just leading to your own demise. So I will be forming a team of sorts and recruiting people from all over the world."

Touma may not know it, but the Unique Skill [Chosen One] was already manifesting unconsciously, giving him a charismatic aura. "And for that, I am willing to form a contract with you, Red Dragon Emperor."

[And what will I get for forming such a contract?]

"In exchange for nurturing your future host, I will find a way to free you from the Sacred Gear." Touma said with seriousness.

[You know that the Boosted Gear will lose all its ability if I am free, right?]

Touma smiled and nodded in agreement. "I know, but by then the seed will have already grown into a fine tree."

[...] Ddraig paused, before bursting into a cheerful laugh. [Very well then! Even if you fail in finding a way to free me from this prison, I, Y Ddraig Goch, the Red Dragon Emperor, will accept this contract and will train my future host to its fullest! However, only if they are worthy to be trained.]

"Then I, Kamiya Touma, will swear on my name that I will find a way to free you from the Boosted Gear." Touma said and chuckled. "Also congratulations on avoiding your fate on becoming the 'Oppai Dragon'."

(E/D: I started to like lolis after this series gave me PTSD of boobs.)

(A/N: Should I call the police?)

[Wait, what!? What did you say, human!? Explain yourself!] Ddraig cried in confusion and fearfully, however he only was met with a laugh from the human he just made a contract with.

The Occult Research Club, or just ORC, installed in the old school building, which already has a reputation of being a haunted place, giving the club a supernatural vibe.

However, what many didn't know was that it served the base for one of the Devils that ruled the town.

And now, Touma has just arrived at the front door of the building.

'Come to think of it, this is my first time going here and this place is quite huge.'

Touma opened the door and sensed the devils on the floor above him. He walked upstairs and knocked on the door three times.

"Enter." He heard a voice inside and opened the door.

"Excuse me." He said and there he saw the majority of Rias' peerage gathered around.

Yuuto Kiba, a blonde young man with blue eyes and a mole under his left eye. He is Rias' Knight and is currently…doing nothing in particular.

Then there was Toujou Koneko, a petite girl with white hair and yellow eyes that was munching on some cookies on the sofa. She is Rias' Rook.

Beside the desk was Himejima Akeno, a young woman with voluptuous figure and long black hair with violet eyes. She is Rias' Queen.

'Seeing this room in person feels different, as if I am in a museum or in a themed cafe.' Touma thought as he inspected the room with a glance.

"Good afternoon. Kamiya-kun, right? Do you have any business with the club?" Akeno didn't let Touma confirm it, which means that the question was for a mere formality.

'She already knows my name?' Touma thought for a second as he didn't expect her to even know his name, given the fact that they never talked to each other nor they encountered each other in the corridors. 'Maybe it was because of the student council or she just has a really good memory.'

"That would be me, Himejima-senpai. And I came here for some matters with Gremory-senpai." I said, then I heard a noise in a room beside this one. 'Don't tell me that Rias is showering at this time?'

"Please take a seat then, the president will be here shortly." Akeno said and I sat on the opposite side of Koneko. "Coffee or tea?"

"Coffee please." Touma said. From his past life, Touma always preferred coffee over tea, and this preference transferred to his current life too. He took a sip and was surprised by the taste. "This is good. Where did you get this?"

"It's from an acquaintance of Rias' brother that gifted them and Rias brought it here. I can give you some if you want." Akeno offered and Touma's eyes shone.

'Good stuff is hard to pass.' Touma thought before nodding. "I would appreciate it."

After waiting for a few minutes, the door from the side opened and a certain redhead walked out from it. The smell of shampoo and shower gel lingered in the air.

She was Rias Gremory, a voluptuous young woman with red hair and bluish green eyes.

"Sorry for the wait." Rias said and Akeno walked to her and told her what was happening. "I understand." Rias nodded and sat on her chair and turned to Touma. "Then Kamiya-kun, what's your business with us?"

"I would like to make a deal with you, Gremory-senpai."

"A deal?" Rias tilted her head in confusion.

"I heard that you will be having a Rating Game against the son of the Phenex, right? I will help you out."

When he said that, Rias and her peerage tensed and adopted a more of a serious expression.

Rias opened her mouth, but no sound came out. She wanted to ask 'How did you know?', but considering that it wasn't exactly a secret and according to Sona, Touma already had a grasp of the supernatural, so she changed her question.

"How are you going to help?" Rias finally asked.

"As you may know, my family owns a dojo and we have been training the student council for a while, so I can offer myself to train everyone here in the physical aspect."

Rias thought for a while and remembered that Sona told her that Tsubaki was defeated in a spar, so she decided to give it a try.

"Then I would like a few weeks of trial to see the results and if it satisfies me we will officially accept the contract." Rias said after some careful thoughts.

Touma nodded and found it acceptable.

"So, what do you want in exchange?"

"I have two requests." Touma said. "First, I want my parents to be protected if anything happens."

"Only your parents? Then what about you?" Rias asked, confused, finding the request rather unusual.

"Yes, while I believe myself capable enough to defend myself, I am worried that it isn't the same for my parents, as contrary to me, they are unaware of the supernatural and will be very vulnerable if anything happens." Touma said.

While he could get stronger eventually and protect himself, it couldn't be said the same for his parents. Besides, telling them about the supernatural would only increase their worry and hinder his future plans.

Touma hated to admit it, but they were quite…a burden. However, it was a burden that he was willing to accept since the time he reincarnated here.

After all, he was certain that as he got stronger, he was bound to attract unwanted attention to himself and those related to him.

"I see." Rias nodded in understanding and decided to not peer too much. "Then what about the second request?"

"I want to be paid for each training session we have and of course, only after you accept the contract."

"That's acceptable." Rias said immediately, after all, money wasn't something she lacked.

"Then I will be looking forward to our partnership." Touma said and extended his hand, while Rias shook it with her own hand.

Charles, the Flerken
After finishing making a deal with Rias, Touma returned to his home and went to the yard behind the house.

A golden card appeared in thin air and Touma quickly grabbed it. He looked at it and there was an image of a cute cat and 'Flerken' written at the bottom.

(E/D: Tentacale H*ntai Cat... Noice.)

(A/N: Oh no…what should I do with my editor?)

"I have always been a cat person, so this is a win for me. However, I just hope it doesn't devour my house." Touma said and crunched, putting the card on the ground. "Summon."

The card shone and dispersed into golden particles, which rearranged themselves into the form of a cat. It had golden fur and jade-green eyes.

"Meow."

"Oh, greetings my liege." Touma jokingly said as he picked the eldritch cat up. "Now for the important question, are you a boy or girl?"

"Meow."

"Neither of them? Oh right, Flerkens were an asexual species. This complicates things a little…" Touma rubbed his chin and decided on a name. "What about Mary?"

"Meeow,"

"Wade."

"Meeow."

"Power?"

"Meeow."

"Nick Furry?"

"Meeow!"

"Ronkovitch Telnyarnokov?"

"Meeow?"

"I don't know either…Hmm…then what about Charles?"

"Meow~"

"You liked it? Then your name will be Charles from now on!" Touma said as he picked Charles up and petted its back.

"Meow!"

"You are hungry?" Touma asked and Charles meowed in affirmation. Then he took a Senzu Bean out of [Inventory] and gave it to Charles.

Charles opened its 'small' mouth, letting a couple of tentacles stretch out and snatched the Senzu Bean away.

All happened in a span of a few seconds.

Touma blinked a few times, before shrugging his shoulders. He put Charles down and patted his head.

"Good boy, but you can't eat any living being until I give you permission, understand?"

"Meow?"

"Why you ask? Because we will get into trouble, a lot of trouble which you can't just eat them," Touma explained and took out a family photo he took with his parents. "Also, you absolutely can't eat them! They are our family, so we have to protect them and not let them get hurt!"

"Meow!" Charles meowed in affirmation.

"Good boy!" Touma threw another Senzu Bean in the air, which was caught by Charles' tentacles.

'They were supposed to keep a person full for ten days and Charles already ate two of them, but he isn't showing signs of satisfaction yet.' Touma thought, and suddenly an idea popped up in his mind. 'What if…'

Touma got up and went to a corner of the yard. Charles looked at him curiously and followed after him.

"Meow?"

"You will see soon." Touma chuckled as he took another Senzu Bean.

He made a small hole in the ground and buried the Senzu Bean. Touma summoned a black key in one hand and extended his other arm.

*Swish!*

With a swift movement, Touma opened a wound in his arm and blood flowed out like a river, falling right on top of the place where he buried the Senzu Bean.

The wound closed itself in an instant and Touma took a step back.

The ground shook for a few seconds before a giant bean tree sprouted from the ground and climbed all the way over the fence.

There were already matured beans ready to be picked.

"This went better than I thought." Touma said and he looked at the plant.

Charles' eyes were shining and the eldritch cat punched to devour all of the beans.

Touma picked one and ate it.

"This tastes like fish. No wonder Charles likes it so much." He said and stored the majority of them in the [Inventory] before Charles devoured all of them.

..

.

..

It was late at night.

Touma was patrolling around the Kuoh, something he didn't need to do, but he enjoyed the feeling of freedom from being alone at night. Not to mention it helps keep the city free from stray devils.

Amidst in his thoughts, his instincts suddenly told him to dodge, and Touma obeyed without hesitation. He immediately channeled mana through the Crest of Star and jumped back, in time to dodge a light bullet.

"Tsk almost got him." Touma heard a voice a few meters behind him.

Observing the man who just shot at him carefully, he had short white hair and red eyes, but what caught Touma's attention was the clerical clothing he was wearing.

"Exorcist?" Touma muttered but thinking again, there was no reason for an exorcist to attack him. "No, a stray exorcist."

"Bingo! Bingo! You guessed right!" The man clapped his hands with a maniac smile on his face. "It seems you are knowledgeable about this side of the world, maybe I should have expected from someone who lives with those devil scums!"

'Stray exorcist, exorcist weapons, psychopath, crazy, white hair, red eyes, this man is…' Touma thought as he finally recognised the man. "Freed something, right?"

"It's Freed Sellzen! And how do you know my name?" Freed shouted and pointed the gun at Touma. "Well, who cares anyway, you are a dead man after I kill you!"

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

(E/D: She shot me! She shot me! Bang! Bang! She shot me!)

The bullets travelled at high speed that couldn't be seen by normal humans, but for Touma, they were slow enough for him to dodge without worry.

"What the–?"

In an instant, Touma covered the distance between them, but for Freed, it was almost as if Touma teleported in front of him.

With a swift motion, Touma carved his fist into Freed's face and sent him flying with a few teeth escaping from his mouth.

"While I would love to end you right now, you are still useful." Touma said and Laplace manifested beside him. "As an errand boy that is."

Laplace's fist glowed and punched Freed's face, sending his other teeth out of his mouth.

"YOWAI!"

"Whenever you have an Excalibur fragment in your hands, the chances of meeting me will be favored." Touma muttered and an aura covered Freed's body.

"Now, should I leave him here? Or toss him back to the church?" Touma pondered, but he shrugged his shoulders and decided to throw him in an alley, and of course, only after looting everything he had.

Touma turned around and was about to leave, but he jumped away and a pink light spear pierced the spot where he was.

"Seriously, why does it have to be me following this bastard around?" Touma looked above to the source of the voice and saw a fallen angel in the air, with another light spear in her hand.

'A fallen with black hair and violet eyes, a very revealing attire, she is probably Raynare.' Touma thought and sighed. 'Why do they have to appear one after another?'

"Hmn? You dodged my spear? That's surprising for a mere human." Raynare said and was about to throw another light spear, but suddenly stopped and looked at him closely. "Wait, aren't you quite cute? How about we have some fun? I might spare you if—"

Raynare was suddenly interrupted when a Black Key came flying her way, which she just dodged in time and only cut a few strands of her hair.

"I missed? That's a surprise, I am sure I aimed for the head." Touma said in a mocking tone.

Raynare clenched her fists and trembled in rage.

"You dare to cut my beautiful hair, you mongrel! Forget about letting you live, I will mince you until no one recognises you!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as she created another pair of light spears and threw them at Touma.

Touma didn't say anything more and summoned the Spear of Longinus in his hand and deflected all her spears. He kicked the ground and threw himself at Raynare.

"Wai–" Raynare said and raised her arms in surrender, but Touma ignored whatever she was saying and thrust his Noble Phantasm into her chest, effectively killing her.

Raynare screamed in pain before dying and falling to the ground.

"Her companions will surely notice her absence and it will be a pain to deal with later." Touma muttered before a portal suddenly opened beside him and Charles walked out of it.

"Meow."

"You want to eat her? Ugh…sure?" As soon as Touma gave permission, Charles opened its mouth and a series of tentacles wrapped around Raynare's corpse and brought it to its mouth.

"..."

"Meow?"

"...Still hungry?"

"Meow!"

"Then let's go find you more food."

"Meow!"

Fallen Angels
A man with black wings on his back arrived at the doors of the abandoned church of Kuoh. He was Dohnaseek, one of Kokabiel's followers.

He pushed the doors open and went inside without hesitation.

He looked around and saw some of his "companions" lazing around.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance and if not for the mission he was entrusted with by Kokabiel, he would have already killed them. Upon further inspection, he saw there were some missing.

"Where are Raynare and Freed?" He asked, hiding his irritation to himself.

"That psycho went out again and Raynare is making sure he doesn't do any shit." Mittelt, the petite blonde fallen angel said and sighed tiredly. "I still don't know why Lord Azazel sent that guy with us."

"Be silent, Mittelt. You should just shut up and follow Lord Azazel's orders without question, low ranked fallen like us wouldn't understand Lord Azazel's greatness." Kalawarner said very seriously. She was a busty blue-haired fallen angel.

Mittelt clicked her tongue and looked away while muttering something.

'Follow Lord Azazel's orders? You are just pawns being used by Lord Kokabiel without even knowing.' Dohnaseek chuckled silently and sat on one of the empty seats.

Suddenly, they felt a presence approaching the church and stopped right at the front door.

"*Tsk* Did that bastard decide to return? And here I was enjoying my time without his stench bothering me." Mittelt groaned.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Just come in already! Dammit!" The petite fallen angel couldn't grow more annoyed and got up from her seat.

Mittelt stomped to the entrance and before she even opened the doors, a spear broke through the door and pierced her chest.

*Boom!*

Mittelt was thrown back to the wall and crashed into the broken cross, destroying it.

Silence spread through the room as shock filled their faces, however, Kalawarner and Dohnaseek immediately snapped out and summoned their light spears.

They didn't bat an eye at the death of a fellow fallen angel and focused more on the attacker.

"Bastard! Who is there!?" Kalawarner shouted in anger and wariness.

Dohnaseek remained silent and looked at the spear.

'There is no mistake. That is a holy spear and the aura it is emitting…' He gritted his teeth and was ready to flee at any chance given.

"True Longinus…" Dohnaseek muttered under his breath, with sweat running down his forehead.

"What!?"

"I am saying that the enemy is the user of the True Longinus!"

Kalawarner was surprised and soon a wave of despair consumed her. It was, after all, the strongest Longinus sacred gear.

Approaching steps interrupted their brief conversation and soon, a figure of a young man appeared out of the cloud of dust.

He wore casual clothes and seemed to be carrying a cat in his arms.

They were Kamiya Touma and Charles, not that Dohnaseek and Kalawarner knew, as he was deemed irrelevant to them.

The young man carried a smile on his face and opened his mouth.

"Good night, everyone. And sorry for the intrusi–" Touma said, but was interrupted by light spears thrown at him.

Touma stopped but didn't lose his smile or composure. He reached out his hand and a single brick appeared. In a swift motion, Touma threw the brick at the incoming light spears and the fallen angels could feel their eyes popping out at the sheer amount of bullshit that happened.

(E/D: Ah, Yes, one of the strongest weapons amongst the holy Asian weapons. The Brick ranked 5 after the Slipper, Belt, Stick, and Emotional damage.)

Because upon making contact with the brick, the light spears shattered like fragile glasses.

The brick fell on the ground as the duo stared stupidly at it.

"What just happened?" Dohnaseek asked, but no one answered. Panic rose from their hearts as the possibility of escaping was almost none.

"Meow." Charles broke free from Touma's grasp and walked towards Mittelt's direction.

Kalawarner looked at the cat who was walking near her without any worry and an idea suddenly appeared in her mind. She launched at the cat and grabbed it with strength. Then she conjured a light spear and pointed at the cat's throat.

"Cease and let us–no, just me is enough! If you let me go alive, I will spare this creature!" Kalawarner threatened. But Touma simply smiled and remained silent, which made her more nervous.

Dohnaseek looked at her with anger and clicked his tongue.

"Alright." Touma said. He looked at Charles and nodded in approval. "I won't harm you."

The fallen angels looked at him surprised and shocked, not expecting him to agree so easily.

Kalawarner hesitantly took a few steps back before opening her black wings and flying away. She looked down at Charles and immediately her face paled in horror.

Charles opened its tiny mouth, which quickly expanded and several tentacles came out and devoured her head in an instant. The headless body fell to the ground and crashed next to Mittelt.

Dohnaseek was frozen in fear as he stared at the corpses in horror.

"Wha-what is that creature!?" Dohnaseek cried and saw Charles devouring the corpses in one moment.

"They are known as Flerken, a foreign species to this world, and resemble a cat in appearance," Touma said and raised his hand. The spear of Longinus unplugged from Mittelt's chest and flew back to Touma's hand. "And this one is Charles."

Touma swung the spear and cleaned off the blood from it.

"Now, don't be afraid." Touma said and approached Dohnaseek menacingly, who stumbled and fell on the ground. Touma smiled as he arrived in front of him with the spear on his shoulder. "I will ask some questions. If your answers satisfy me, I will promise you a painless death."

Dohnaseek gritted his teeths, while he was terrified of them, his loyalty to Kokabiel was still undeniable.

"I refu–AAaAaaaAAa!!" He screamed in pain as one of his legs got cut off.

"Sorry, my hand slipped. What were you saying?" Touma asked 'cluessly'.

"You fu–AaAaaaaA!"

"How careless of me! I can't believe my hand slipped again! So what were you saying?"

"Fu–AAAaaAa!"

"Oops!"

"I will tell–AAaaaaA!"

"Ah…" This time Touma's hand slipped for real, not that he would admit it though.

"So, who is your boss?"

"Lord Aza–" He stopped when he saw Touma raising his spear. "–Kokabiel…"

"What was your order?"

"... kill any sacred gear users in this town to keep the devils from getting new slaves and…"

"And…?"

"Extract the excommunicated nun's sacred gear..."

"What is Kokabiel's plan?"

"...reunite the Excalibur fragments to kill the devils and exorcists. And then another biblical war will happen…"

"Does he have any backers?"

"...I don't know…"

"I see, then die." Touma said and beheaded him with a single movement.

*Sigh*

"I guess I was lucky that I encountered someone who really works for Kokabiel." Touma muttered as he sat on one of the seats. He didn't forget to record this to serve as evidence for later. "This guy knows nothing useful other than the rough plan of Kokabiel."

Gather Excalibur fragments, fuse them, go to Kuoh, kill sisters of Satan, and boom! War!

'Nothing that I didn't know of, but at least I have evidence.' Touma thought as he watched Charles devouring the corpses.

"Charles." The flerken turned towards Touma upon being called. "Can you find a person for me?"

"Meow?"

"A man with black hair, golden bangs, and a black goatee. And he is also a fallen angel like the people you just ate."

"Meow!"

"No, don't eat him. I just want you to find him and give me his location."

"Meow…"

'Why do you sound so disappointed?' Touma smiled wryly. "I will give you more Senzu Beans if you find him."

"Meow!" Charles meowed and disappeared into a portal.

*Sigh*

"It would make things easier if I just killed Kokabiel, but alas, I don't know where he is and how strong he actually is." Touma muttered.

Touma was getting stronger and stronger everyday as the assimilation progressed, but it was too slow for his liking.

'There must be a way to accelerate the speed of the assimilation process, but how?' He thought. 'The assimilation process…assimilation…assimilation…'

After Touma spent some time thinking and reflecting, his eyes widened in realization.

He remembered a series that had a similar situation as him, with some special people called Beyonders, and had to 'act' according to the sequence potion that they consumed.

And by applying the same foundation, if Touma used the 'Acting Method' and acted the way the characters did, maybe he could speed up the assimilation progress, like a catalyst for a chemical reaction.

'You may act like whoever you want, but you should never forget that it is just an act. Because if not, you will lose yourself and forget who you are.' Touma remembered the quote from the novel.

(A/N: The novel is called "Lord of Mysteries", it's very good and I recommend it.)

Touma got up, now with a clear objective in mind.

"Use the Acting Method and quicken the assimilation progress." He muttered to himself and chuckled. "And, of course, only if this hypothesis is correct."

'And maybe visit another world once I am strong enough.' He thought.

Then a portal opened and Charles came out of it.

"Meow!"

"You found it? Good boy!" Touma thought as he patted its head. "Lead the way, captain!"

"Meow!"

The portal increased in size to fit Touma.

Charles entered first and was soon followed by Touma, who entered without hesitation.

Azazel
Touma walked out of the portal and found himself in an unknown street. And as soon as he looked around, Touma spotted a small manor that stood out from the rest of the houses next to it.

'How did I miss such a place?' Touma thought and frowned. 'Maybe a barrier or something of sorts?'

Nevertheless, Touma could tell that the manor was probably the place he was looking for.

Charles wiggled and jumped to his shoulders. Then he found a comfortable position and rested there.

Touma walked to the door and rang the bell and after waiting for a while, the door finally opened. However, unlike the old man he was expecting, a silver-haired young man answered the door.

As there were few silver-haired characters and only one that was related to Azazel, Touma could immediately guess the identity of the young man.

'Vali Lucifer, the strongest white dragon emperor in history.' Touma thought.

From his posture alone, Touma could tell that Vali was an experienced warrior and despite his relaxed stance, Vali was ready to fight at any moment.

Meanwhile, Vali was analyzing the visitor as well.

At first glance, Vali could sense that Touma wasn't someone normal and he was sure he wasn't a delivery guy because he knew that Azazel's "research materials" wouldn't arrive today. Not to mention, Vali was getting bad vibes from the cat on his shoulder.

"State your business here." Vali demanded.

"I am here to have a talk with Azazel." Touma said casually.

Vali widened his eyes in surprise. After all, almost no one knew that Azazel was residing here! This was Azazel's favorite place to either slack off or do important research, so he wouldn't just tell anybody (even his secretary) about this location.

Vali was immediately alarmed and looked at Touma warily, ready to summon his sacred gear.

"I don't know someone with that name." Vali said and clenched his fist, ready to fight.

"Relax, I am here just to talk to him. Besides, I am just a normal human." Touma lied as naturally as he breathed before an envelope appeared in his hand. "Give this to him, I am sure he will accept it when he sees this."

Vali looked suspiciously at him and carefully grabbed the envelope. Using magic to quickly search for any signs of a trap, Vali found out that there was nothing abnormal in it.

He didn't say anything and closed the door.

Touma didn't mind waiting, so just stood there while playing with Charles.

"Meow!"

"Yes, yes, I will give you tons of fish beans after this, my king." Touma said as he rolled his eyes, but the smile on his face indicated that he was enjoying it.

Then Touma heard footsteps heading towards the entrance and the door was opened again. And now, Touma finally found the person he was looking for!

"Please enter." Azazel said and had a serious expression on his face. "Make yourself at home."

Touma nodded and entered without hesitation.

While avoiding stepping on a few consoles and alcoholic drinks on the ground, Azazel led Touma to the dining table with Vali leaning on a wall waiting for them.

They sat in front of each other and Touma noticed the envelope he gave earlier, which was now open, and with pictures of underwear spread on the table.

"Before we start, I want to ask something." Azazel said as his hands interlocked, forming a bridge with his fingers in front of his face. "Where did you get this? This is something even I couldn't get my hands on."

Azazel pointed his finger at the pictures, which had Gabrield's underwear in them!

It is as Azazel said, it was something extremely difficult to accomplish even for someone as old as him!

"I have my own sources."

"Care to share your sources?"

"Sorry, but I can't even if I wanted to." Touma said as he shook his head. "But I confirm that I am in possession of the real deal."

"...What do you want in exchange?" Azazel asked, realizing where this was going.

Touma only smiled at his question.

"I only want a few requests." Touma smiled and adjusted his seat. "Have you heard about Khaos Brigade?"

This got the full attention of both Vali and Azazel for different reasons.

"You know about them?" Azazel asked in surprise.

"Yes, but only bits of it."

"I thought no one knew about them since they have been acting behind the scenes." Azazel muttered as he rubbed his goatee. "So, what does that have in relation to your requests?"

"Hmn, before I say it, I think it's better to explain a little bit. Unlike what people think, this terrorist organization isn't united under one banner. It's fractured into different factions and each has a different goal." Touma explained. "And I wanted to ask you to track one of these factions and give me their locations."

"Not eliminate them for you?" Azazel asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"No, I have my own plans for them." Touma shook his head. "They call themselves the 'Hero Faction', a group of powerful sacred users and some of them are descendants of ancient heroes. Their leader is Cao Cao and is the current user of True Longinus."

"True Longinus!?" Azazel widened his eyes in surprise and clicked his tongue. "Can't believe that the strongest sacred gear fell to the hands of the enemy."

"It doesn't end there." Touma said. "They are also in possession of Dimension Lost, Annihilation Maker, and other sacred gears with subspecies balance breaker, but there is no need for confrontation." He said and extended his hand. "So, do you accept it?"

Azazel rubbed his chin and thought for a while, before nodding.

"Alright, we accept it." The leader of fallen angels nodded and shook his hand. He will check the veracity of the information later, but for now, he could use Touma to find some clues about Khaos Brigade.

"We have a deal then." Touma said and as to fulfill his part of his deal, he summoned a case and handed it to Azazel.

The fallen angel didn't question it and opened the case.

"Holy…" He muttered as tears fell from his eyes. "It's exactly like how I imagined…"

Vali flinched and took a step back from the holy element that it was radiating.

Azazel wiped his tears and turned his head to Touma.

"You…what's your name?" Azazel asked.

Touma tilted his head in confusion, before finally realizing that he hadn't told his name yet.

"My name is Kamiya Touma, a normal high schooler." He said and chuckled at their reaction.

"Touma, have you ever thought of joining Grigori?" Azazel said, with stars in his eyes.

"Sorry, but I am not planning on joining any organization."

"I see, that's a pity." Azazel sighed in defeat. "Then what about your other requests?"
Touma simply smiled.

"First is money, it's very essential for me. And second, could you upgrade my house and fill it with defense mechanisms?"

Azazel nodded as it wasn't difficult to provide. "Very well, it will be done right away."

"I will appreciate it." Touma said and took out his phone. "And I have something to show you, please watch this."

Touma played the recording and Azazel's expression grimaced.

"Thank you for showing me this. I had noticed Kokabiel doing some things behind the scenes, but I didn't know he would go this far." Azazel said as he bowed his head slightly.

"No problem, consider this as a gift for our partnership. Not to mention, I also live here." Touma said and got up.

After bidding farewell, Touma returned home through a portal.

"Put more strength behind your swings, but never use your full force!"

"Fool! Didn't I already tell you to not stay flat-footed?"

"Your movements are too linear! Try to come up with something better!"

"What are you two standing there for? Hurry up and join them!"

A series of commands echoed through the grass field near Kuoh, as the members of ORC were trying their best to take Touma down.

"Damn you Sona…*Huff* *Huff*...you didn't tell me that it was this difficult." Rias groaned as her clothes were drenched in sweat.

"I feel so hot~" Akeno said as her cheeks were red from doing intense exercise and being aroused. "...and wet~!"
Rias ignored her comment as she layed on the grass.

On the other side, Kiba and Koneko sat on the grass exhausted as they tried to calm their breathing.

(A/N: I know his first name is Yuuto, but it feels weird to call him that, so I will keep calling him Kiba.)

"Good work everyone!" Touma said as he handed everyone lemonades. "You are all better than last time."
It's been a few days since Touma started training them and he had to admit, it wasn't as he expected. They were weaker than he thought.

It's not that they didn't train, it was a matter of mindset. They trained to keep 'in shape', to practice their skills, etc, instead of training to become better. For that reason, Touma had to go the not-so-gentle route and start pressuring them, since he knew there won't be much time left.

And the results were great, although they weren't at an acceptable level yet, they improved each session they did.

"Now go home and take a shower, you are all drenched." Touma said.

"Wait!" Rias called him. "Can we meet at the club later? I want to talk to you regarding the contract."

Touma raised an eyebrow and waited for her to continue.

"I will accept the contract, I will pay you in advance in the club."

'Well, isn't that good?' Touma thought and nodded before returning home to shower and grab something to eat.

After a few hours, Touma went to school and entered the club building. As he was already familiar with them, he didn't knock on the door and opened the door without hesitation.

As always, the entire peerage was present in the room.

"Oh, Touma. You arrived." Rias said as she put down the papers. "This is our contract written there, you can check it if you want."

Touma nodded and sat in front of her. Then Akeno arrived in front of him and put a cup of coffee on the table.

"Thank you." Touma said in appreciation, he really liked the way she made them.

He grabbed the papers and read them carefully. After finding that there was nothing wrong with it, Touma sighed with his name.

"Good." Rias nodded in happiness. "Then about–"

She was interrupted when a swirl of flames appeared on the ground as the Phenex crest formed in its center.

Rias and the rest of her peerage immediately frowned as a man appeared inside the magic circle.

"It's been a while since I've been in the human world." The blonde man said and turned around. "I came to visit you, my dear Rias."

Riser Phenex
The calm atmosphere in the club soon turned tense upon the arrival of the newcomer.

"Riser Phenex…" Rias muttered the man's name with some venom in her voice. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh? I can't even visit my own fiance?" Riser said as if he was unaware of the dislikeness that Rias had on him.

"I am not your fiance!" Rias said while gritting her teeth.

Touma looked at this scene with a frown, but didn't let it out on his face. He was bothered by the 'Young Master' vibes that Riser was giving off, now it only lacked him threatening others with his clan name and being bitch slapped.

"And the marriage is decided only after I finish college, so tell me why are you here, Riser Phenex!?" Rias shouted, but it seemed to go in one ear and out the other. Riser walked towards her with a mocking grin.

(A/N: I don't remember if it was after highschool or after college, but I will leave it as it is.)

"You see, my dear Rias, your fiance couldn't wait anymore and so our marriage was decided in two weeks time." Riser said, but as he was near Touma, he didn't bother to move away and tried to pass through. "Move, human."

Much to his surprise, when his shoulders hit Touma's, it didn't even budge at all even with his devil physic!

"Hmmn? You said something?" Touma asked, mocking evident in his voice.

"You…You dare!" Riser scowled and raised his fist, which was suddenly engulfed in orange flames.

Touma scoffed as he raised his hand and slapped the punch away and immediately brought up his other arm.

*Slap!*

Riser's head twisted in a weird manner as a red mark of a palm printed on his face. He stumbled back as his neck caught fire, similar to his fist previously and was soon standing properly again thanks to the 'Immortality' of the Phenex clan.

"Bastard!" Riser shouted in fury. He was the public image of his family, and being injured by a human would tarnish his and the Phenex's reputation, which is why he won't allow him to get away with that unpunished. The blond devil conjured the flames of Phenex and was ready to launch himself at Touma, however, he was ultimately interrupted by a magic circle that everyone in the room except for Touma recognized.

In a second, a silver haired maid with red lipstick appeared within the magic circle.

"That's enough!" She ordered, causing Riser to stop in his attempt of murder.

"Grayfia!" Rias called her in surprise.

She was Grayfia Lucifuge, the Queen of Sirzechs Lucifer and also known as the strongest Queen!

Riser clicked his tongue and obeyed her, dismissing the attack and his flames. He then walked towards Rias and sat next to her.

"I came with orders from Sirzechs Lucifer, I won't allow anything to happen." Grayfia stated, but then she looked around the room and saw Touma. She raised an eyebrow as she couldn't recognise him from anywhere.

"When the Strongest Queen says that, even I get scared." Riser said that in a carefree manner, but his eyes told otherwise as the fury contained in them would only calm down after killing Touma.

He proceeded to move his hand to Rias' crimson hair while the other went towards her thigh, but they were soon slapped away by Rias.

"Riser, as I said earlier, I have no intention of marrying you." Rias stated, much calmer now after recovering from her initial shock.

"You think our family will allow you to keep up with your selfishness much longer?" Riser asked in an amused tone.

"I have no plan on disgracing my family, but I also don't intend to just allow them to marry me off to someone like you." Rias said as she got up and moved away from him.

"Master predicted something like this would occur, so he proposed a Rating Game between you and your peerages to solve this matter." Grayfia suddenly interjected, causing everyone's attention to turn to her.

"I understand." Rias said as she internally thanked her brother.

"I already have participated and accumulated many victories, so participating in this one won't make any difference. But I have a condition."

"And that is?" Grayfia raised an eyebrow.

Riser pointed his finger at Touma. "I want him to participate."

Grayfia widened her eyes in surprise and turned her head to Touma. While Rias and her peerage had the same reaction as Grayfia.

"Wait, don't let him involv–" Rias panicked and disagreed immediately as she couldn't let her friend involve himself when he clearly wasn't involved in her mess.

"Very well, I will participate in this Rating Game on Rias' side," Touma said.

"Touma…" Rias was touched for a second, but shook her head and tried to stop him. "But…"

"However, even if I participate, what will be in it for me, Riser Phenex? As the one who proposed the condition, what will you offer?" Touma asked with a smile on his face.

"Such arrogance…" Riser's eyebrow twitched in annoyance. "If Rias wins, the Phenex clan will grant you a request as long as it doesn't put the clan in danger nor tarnish our reputation."

'Let's see if you can still smile after I burn you to ashes!' Riser thought as he sneered at Touma.

"Make it two."

"What?" Riser was taken back by Touma's words.

"I will accept it if the Phenex clan grants two requests." Touma pronounced as he demonstrated with his hand, making a 'V' sign with his fingers.

"V-Very well." Riser said, with his eyebrow twitching even more. Not wanting to deal with him anymore, Riser turned to Rias.

"Will Miss Grayfia approve and serve as witness to this agreement?" Touma asked as he glanced towards the maid.

Grayfia nodded, causing both of them to smirk for separate reasons.

Then Riser turned his head to Rias and a mocking smile appeared on his face.

"Besides, I want to ask this, is this your entire peerage, Rias?" Riser asked.

"And what if it was?" Rias said with a frown, causing Riser to guffaw and snap his fingers.

A Phenex magic circle appeared on the ground as Riser summoned his full peerage.

'Were they already waiting to be summoned?' Touma thought in curiosity, but remained silent to let the events occur.

Suddenly, a young girl from Riser's peerage kicked the ground and flew towards Touma at a speed that was difficult even for a newly reincarnated devil to accompany.

The girl thrusted her staff into Touma's stomach while her lips curled up into a mocking grin.

Touma looked at her with an untroubled face and took a step aside when she was almost reaching him. Then he clenched his fist and swung his arm. The back part of his hand made contact with the girl's face and sent her flying outside of the building to touch some grass.

Grayfia stared at Touma, her mouth slightly agape as she didn't expect Touma to be this strong, while the ORC members were the same. Meanwhile, Riser and his peerage stared at him in shock.

"It was self-defense." Touma said as he rubbed his hand with a hand towel to clean off the saliva that unfortunately landed on his hand.

His voice snapped Riser snap out of his shock and his brows furrowed in fury. He raised his hand and a fireball with the size of a head appeared.

"I will kill you!" Riser said and was about to throw it.

But one thing he forgo by rage was that he was in presence of the strongest queen, Grayfia Lucifuge.

A wall of ice surrounded Riser as the fireball was extinguished without damaging the wall.

"This is it. More than that and I will have to use force." Grayfia said as she glared at Riser.

Rider's fury doused by Grayfia's words, he grit his teeth and glared at Touma.

"Enjoy your life while you can, human, because I will make you regret being born." Riser declared as he instructed his queen to grab his pawn before disappearing in his magic circle.

*Sigh*

A sigh escaped Grayfia's mouth as she held her head with her hand. A rare moment where Grayfia broke her maid persona while still on duty.

"This became quite problematic." She said and then looked at Touma with narrowed eyes. "Are you confident in defeating Riser, sir?"

"My name is Kamiya Touma and yes, I believe that I can defeat him." Touma said confidently.

She continued to look at him for a second before breaking off and turned her head to Rias.

"And get stronger Rias, the current you can't defeat him." Grayfia warned before returning to the Underworld. "Good luck…"

After the strongest queen left, Rias sat on the sofa.

"Touma, why…?" She wanted to know why, why he would help her when he wasn't involved.

"It doesn't hurt giving a friend a hand, does it?" Touma asked her, not only that, he doubted that Riser could beat him anyway.

"Touma…" Rias' heart pounded fast, and a pinkish hue found made its way to her face. "Thank you…"

"No problem." Touma said with a smile.

"Ara~President and Touma-kun are flirting, should we leave the love birds alone?"

"A-Akeno!" Rias shouted as the blush increased.

Touma chuckled as he clapped his hands, gathering everyone.

"While this is fun and all, it's better if we all return home for today and rest. Because for the next few days, your training will be harsher than before, understood?"

"Understood!"

Eve (1)
The next day in the evening

*Siiiiiiiiip!*

"Beer in the new house is the best!" Rika said as she slammed the can on the table.

"But to think our son has a good friend like this, you should tell him to come over!" Tendou said as he raised the beer can while looking at the back of his son.

*Chop!* *Chop!* *Chop!*

"Maybe one day." Touma said as he chopped the vegetables very quickly. 'Hope that day never arrives.'

"Hmmn?" Rika raised an eyebrow while she eyed her son. "Say Touma, when did you get this good at cooking?" The last time she saw him cooking, he wasn't nearly as skilled as he was now. Not only that, he is taller than before and his muscles seem more developed.

"I get it now." Touma's mom eyed her son with an understanding look. "I guess we should expect a daughter in law soon, or even more." She joked, and the sound of chopping stopped for a second.

Tendou contemplated and nodded in agreement.

*Sizzle*

Rika sighed as she put her hand under her chin. "To think our big baby boy would get a girlfriend, no, maybe he already has one and is hiding her from us!?" She asked in a sudden 'realization'.

Suddenly, two pairs of eyes landed on Touma's back, as though two hawks had spotted their next prey.

He sighed, knowing they were just teasing, and adding alcohol into the equation wouldn't make it end any sooner. He poured the dish on the plate, turned around and carried it to the table.

"Here, the last dish of dinner for tonight." Touma sat down and raised his can of…juice. Yeah, his parents wouldn't let him drink beer as he was still underage, so he opted for juice instead.

"""Kampai!""" And they started celebrating over their new house.

'I feel that I am forgetting something.' Touma thought, but he shrugged his shoulders and dismissed the idea. If he doesn't remember it, then it shouldn't be important.

Touma returned to his room after cleaning everything up.

He walked over the desk and sat on the chair. Suddenly a feeling comparable to breaking chains occurred inside Touma. He closed his eyes as he knew what it was.

The assimilation was complete.

More precisely, it was Percival's card. Masayuki's card was near completion too.

Tapping his fingers on the desk in a rhythm, he leaned his body and pulled a suitcase under the desk.

Touma found this on top of the table in the kitchen when he was exploring around the house. Inside of the suitcase, there was Azazel's personal contact and 15 million yen!

(A/N: 15 million yen = 109,738.17 USD)

Although Touma wanted to split it and give it to his parents, just remembering that they almost fainted when they saw the new house, he decided to hold it in for a while until given the opportunity.

Taking a third of the money, Touma wanted to convert them into GP, however to his most disappointment, only a part of the money he prepared was converted and the rest was left untouched.

Sighing in disappointment, Touma stored the remaining money in his [Inventory].

Supporting his cheek with his fist, he opened the [Gacha] tab.

[GP: 48 → 395]

'Not here.' Touma closed his eyes and took a deep breath. 'Just one…just one…'

Illusional lights appeared in his field of vision and it rotated rapidly, revealing 10 cards.

[Character Card: Esdeath (AgK)]

[Assimilation Speed Boost Card]

[Power Boost Card]

[Power Boost Card]

[Black Keys (3) (FATE)]

[All Language Comprehension]

[Character Card: Julius Novachrono (Black Clover)]

[Weakness Removal Card]

[Power Boost Card]

[Noble Phantasm: Hanging Gardens of Babylon (FATE)]

Touma stopped moving, it took great effort for him to not jump and scream in excitement.

Besides the amazing cards that would help him greatly, Touma was more focused on the two characters and the Noble Phantasm he just got!

Esdeath was a sadistic and blood thirsty general of the anime Akame ga Kill that enjoyed battles more than anything. Besides that, Esdeath possessed a great charisma fit for a high ranking general that inspired many to fight for her and she also cared about her subordinates, her direct ones that is.

Julius Novachrono, the Wizard King of Black Clover anime. His magic to manipulate time was never shown at full potential as he never had opportunity to, but definitely one of the powerhouses of his universe. The nature of his magic was to steal time from others and use them to fuel his spells.

And lastly, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Noble Phantasm of Semiramis. A moving fortress that is perfect for an army in a war that also serves as a workshop. The only downside of this is that, like Semiramis, Touma had to gather the materials and do the ritual to build the fortress…

*Sigh*

Touma was disappointed that the Noble Phantasm didn't come entirely, but the instructions are better than nothing.

Without further ado, Touma put Julius' card in assimilation and equipped the Noble Phantasm and the language card, a handful skill that makes all languages known to you, be it ancient or modern, even from other worlds.

"Here, take a seat." Touma said and gestured with his hand.

Akeno looked curiously at the young man, but didn't say anything and complied.

'He looks exactly like a teacher, maybe he is into roleplays?' Akeno thought and a seductive laugh escaped from her lips.

"Touma-kun, is there a reason for calling me? Or do you want to spend some time with just us alone?" Akeno said as she licked her lips.

*Bonk*

"There is a right time and place for that." Touma said as he retracted his hand. "I just wanted to have a talk between us."

Akeno looked confused but nodded regardless.

"In the past few days, we have been training hard together and because of that I came to realization, you were holding back a lot, so I want to know why."

Akeno winced at that, averted her eyes and bit her lower lip.

"That…Sorry, I can't tell you."

"Why? Do you have a demon sealed inside you or something like that?"

Akeno stared at him for a second before chuckling.

"No, it's not like that. It's because…"

'Was it alright to tell him? Will he despise me once he learns the truth?' Such thoughts occurred in Akeno's mind. She has grown fond of this young man and Akeno wouldn't lie that she was interested in him as a romantic partner. Just thinking of that made her stomach turn up.

Suddenly, a hand landed on her head and started patting her.

"It's alright, take it easy."

His comforting voice warmed up her heart and a smile blossomed in her face.

'If it's him, then maybe…'

"I-I am actually a hybrid of a fallen angel and a human…" Akeno started telling her story, from when she was just a child, to her mother being killed, her hatred for the fallen angels, everything to Touma.

He listened to everything attentively, not interrupting her.

At the end, a few tears gathered in the corner of her eyes, which was wiped by Touma's hand.

"Thanks for telling me, Himejima-senpai." Touma said with a smile.

"Y-You…don't feel disgusted at me?" Akeno asked, with her voice trembling slightly.

"Of course not, you aren't at fault for how you were born. Neither me nor everyone else will treat you differently just because you are the daughter of a fallen angel, so don't worry and don't hide yourself." Touma comforted her.

Akeno saw the genuine expression and couldn't hold herself anymore. She jumped forward and hugged Touma.

"Thank you…Thank you so much for being here with me…" Akeno muttered.

"You are welcome." Touma hugged her back and whispered in her ears. "Thank you for being yourself."

"Uhn."

Days have passed and they are getting closer to the date of the Rating Game. But it wasn't the only thing that got closer these days…

"Himejima-senpai?"

"Ufufu. Call me Akeno, Touma-kun."

"...Akeno, others are watching."

Indeed, Akeno has been acting more clingy and open to Touma, not that he minded, but it was still embarrassing in the public.

"It's fine, let them watch all they want." Akeno said as she readjusted her position on Touma's lap.

*Cough* *Cough*

"Please mind your behavior here." Rias said with her slight blush on her face.

"Ara, are you perhaps jealous,Rias?"

Rias was taken by surprise and blushed even more, but didn't refute, which increased Akeno's smile.

"Anyway, the date of the Rating Game is closing in and we should discuss how we handle the support role!" Rias said, raising her voice slightly because of the embarrassment she was feeling.

But what she said was true. Up until now, everyone in her peerage was more turned towards power and destruction while lacking any real support members.

'Support? If I remember correctly…' Touma widened his eyes as he finally remembered.

"I may have an idea to solve that problem." Touma said.

Meanwhile, in the abandoned church, a blond girl about the age of Touma sneezed, feeling that someone was thinking about her. This lasts for a second before returning to her prayer.

Eve (2) (Happy New Year)
After Touma mentioned it, everyone's attention focused on him.

"What do you mean by that?" Rias questioned, causing Touma to smirk.

"Remember the fallen angels that were in the church a few days ago?"

"Yes, but they suddenly disappeared in one night." Rias paused and thought briefly. "And according to our investigations, there were signs of battle and traces of holy energy."

Touma nodded.

"The reason for them staying in Kuoh was to observe Sacred Gear users and wait for an excommunicated nun to arrive and extract her Sacred Gear."

"I see. Wait, how do you know all of that?" Rias asked in surprise.

"Because I'm the one who wiped them out." Touma said as he leaned backwards against the sofa.

"You did!? All by yourself?" Rias and the rest of the group were shocked at the reveal.

"Yeah, but it's their fault for attacking me first though." Touma remarked while shrugging his shoulders. "Anyway, this isn't the time to talk about what I did. By now, the ex-nun should have already arrived at the old church, not only that, her age is closer to ours and her Sacred Gear allows her to heal people. sounds like an opportunity for you to try to recruit her, don't you think?"

"I…" Rias paused, thinking for a second.

'Touma wouldn't have asked us to do it if it was an impossible task or life threatening to us and I also don't want to disappoint him after all the help he's given us!'

Rias gathered her resolve and looked at him.

"I–We will do it!"

Touma smiled and got up from his seat.

"Good, now you should go. The earlier the better it is for you."

"Yes!"

———————<———>————————————<———>———————

Casually strolling in the streets of Kuoh, Touma led the ORC members to the excommunicated nun. Such a group was bound to attract attention from the surroundings, receiving a few curious gazes from the people passing by, before returning to their routine.

Touma didn't mind the stares and kept walking, while occasionally briefly touching the trees in the sidewalk. Each time Touma touched them, a portion of their time would be stolen and stored in him. A few decades taken from trees weren't a meaningful difference and Touma had already accumulated a few hundred years worth of time.

Touma doesn't know why Julius didn't do as he did, maybe he simply didn't know, or maybe he never thought about it.

However, Touma felt strange, as though something was amiss. His gut feeling was telling him something was wrong every time he used Time Magic, but Touma couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.

He didn't allow his discomfort to show on his face though.

Unaware of his thoughts, Rias approached him from behind, her eyes filled with curiosity.

At first Rias ignored it, as she thought it was just a mere coincidence, but as they walked, she saw Touma put his hand on every tree they passed. It was a strange sight, and after a few minutes she was unable to contain herself and finally asked.

"What are you doing?" Her tone didn't contain mockery, only inquisitiveness.

Her question caused everyone to perk up as they also were wondering what Touma was doing.

Touma pondered on how to answer as he retracted his hand from the tree. He had already befriended the peerage and considered them as close friends, some even more than that, so there was no harm in telling the truth.

"I am taking time to get more time."

Rias blinked and tilted her head in confusion.

"...What?" She asked, but she could tell from the smile on his face that Touma was just messing with her.

"It is exactly as I said." Touma stated, then he stopped abruptly. "Here, we've arrived, are you ready?"

"Of course!" Rias said with a smile. 'I will show him that I can do it!'

"Good luck." Touma said while waving his hand as Rias and everyone else walked towards the old church.

In Touma's mind, he was aiding Rias as a 'friend' by showing a way to increase her peerage powerness, but the process would be done by herself and also an opportunity to gain experience.

'Yeah, she should be fine.'

After all of them entered the church, Touma smiled and disappeared without making any sound.

———————<———>————————————<———>———————

*Ding* *Dong*

"Yeah, yeah, coming!"

The door opened and revealed Azazel with messy hair, half naked and…

"...I would appreciate it if you cover yourself and took a shower first, you stink of booze." Touma complained as his face morphed with disgustness. There was another smell but he wouldn't point it out.

"Oh, it's you brat." Azazel said and turned around. "Come in, make yourself at home."

Two magic circles appeared under his feet. The windows were opened and the wind blew all the smell away from the house while Azazel cleaned himself.

"I never thought that I had to see you so soon." He said as he poured whiskey on a glass cup. "Up for a drink?"

"No thanks."

"Shame." Azazel sighed and drank it all, "Just to inform you, we still haven't located this Cao Cao yet, but coincidentally bases of different factions were under attack by monsters that appeared and disappeared in an instant, even some of our bases were attacked too."

"That's definitely the work of the Annihilation Maker." Touma said and Azazel nodded in agreement.

"That's what we suspect as well. This confirmed the authenticity of your information and maybe found some leads to your request."

"Of course it's true, who do you think I am!?" Touma remarked, Azazel only shrugged in response.

"So, what are you here for? I don't think you came here just for this." The fallen angel asked as he made himself comfortable on the sofa.

"You are right, I want to ask you if there is a way for humans to use holy power." Touma asked.

Azazel rubbed his goatee with his fingers as he thought about it.

"It isn't impossible for humans to use holy power, however it mostly depends on their circumstances. For once, the easiest way is to get a hold of Sacred Gear with holy nature. And the other is a little complicated as there will be a few requirements, first the person needs to at least be a natural-born holy sword wielder and undergo a special training while maintaining his heart and faith in my Big Daddy. Though normal people can use a Light Container if they can't use holy swords."

"Then is it possible to draw holy power from holy weapons?"

"There were attempts, but they mostly failed in the end." Azazel said and paused briefly. "Even if an exorcist held an Excalibur fragment for example, they wouldn't be able to draw from the weapon itself and use the holy power for their spells/techniques. We suspect it is because there is no direct connection between the wielder and the weapon."

'So it's a matter of connection between the wielder and the weapon, and if what he said is true, then…' Touma thought and got up from his seat. "I see, thank you for the information, is there a way for me to repay you?"

"There is no need for that, now get out I am a busy man." Azazel said as he drank whiskey again. Touma nodded and disappeared in an instant, which made Azazel raise an eyebrow.

"Teleportation? No, if it was there would be a delay. Then it must be a time related ability." Azazel said before sighing and looked at the window. "I feel the world is changing soon and that brat will be one of the causes of it. It might not be a bad idea to create a connection between us."

———————<———>————————————<———>———————

And like this, days passed.

Rias had successfully recruited Asia into her peerage and explained her situation to the ex-nun, who was content to help someone in need. So they started training together.

Touma didn't neglect his own training either, and even achieved some breakthroughs.

Then the day of the Rating Game finally came.

The respective groups were already inside the artificial space that was identical to Kuoh Academy and were inside their areas, waiting for the announcement for the beginning of the match.

Suddenly, a projection appeared in the fake sky, showcasing Grayfia's face to everyone there.

"Good evening, everyone. I am Grayfia Lucifuge, the Queen of Satan Lucifer. I will be the judge for today's match between Rias Gremory and Riser Phenex." Then Grayfia started listing the rules as her obligation as the judge. "...Then without any delays, let the match begin!"

(Before the announcement, at Rias' side…)

"Are you nervous?"

Rias looked at Touma upon being asked and released a sigh.

"It would be a lie if I said I wasn't, but this is something I have to do." Rias declared with resolve. "Although it was earlier than I expected, this is the day I have been waiting for, to finally free myself from that man."

Compared to a few weeks ago, Rias was definitely stronger through the training she received from Touma.

Every time they were exhausted, Touma would speed up their recovery with Time Magic and restart training again until they reached their limits. While this wasn't recommendable in the long run, it was certainly one of the best methods for the current circumstance.

"A-Although I don't know how to fight, b-but I will do my best!" The newcomer said with her voice trembling nervously.

Asia, who only stayed in the churches and helped others never got into conflict with others, so this was her first real fight in her life. Even after the training, she was only able to learn how to dodge and avoid direct confrontation with enemies.

Her eagerness managed to calm Rias a bit and put a smile on her face.

Touma walked to the sofa and sat next to Rias.

"Here, lay down." He said while patting his thighs.

"Huh?" Rias looked at his thighs and then back at his eyes, looking for confirmation.

"I said, lay down, Rias."

"O-Okay!" Rias said while blushing slightly as she rested her head on his thighs. While she was used to being constantly teased by Akeno and was 'somewhat' exhibitionistic, she was still vulnerable to intimate activities with the opposite's sex.

Touma started to slowly caress her head.

"Don't worry, Rias. You all have trained for this moment, right? So there is no other outcome than complete victory!" Touma said as he tried to cheer her up.

Under his hand, her lips curled up, forming a genuine smile.
"…Thank you, Touma. I feel better now."

"You welcome."

{Rias, the preparations are done.} Akeno's voice suddenly echoed in Rias' head. The Gremory's Queen just finished spreading her familiars through the field.

'I wanted it to stay like this for a while…' Rias thought and sighed in disappointment.

"Thank you, Akeno." Rias said, while slowly getting up and formed a telepathic link with everyone. "Everyone, get ready!"

Then a buzzing sound was heard outside and a projection of Grayfia appeared.

"Let the operation KFP start!"

(AN: KFP = Kentucky Fried Phoenix.)

———<———>————————————<———>———

In the field that situated between the ORC club, a small forest and the main building, Touma casually strolled while waiting for the opposing peerage members to appear and to his luck, they would appear soon.

*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*

Footsteps were quickly approaching Touma's location. He raised his head and saw three figures coming in his direction.

'Oh, they're finally here.' Touma squinted his eyes and the corner of his lips curled up.

The figure of a familiar blue haired young woman appeared within his sight accompanied by a blonde young woman with a twin drill hairstyle.

"It seems luck is on my side to be able to meet you right in the beginning." The blue haired one said with a smirk. "I will finally make you pay for the humiliation!"

For those who don't remember, she was the one who was sent flying out of the window by Touma a few chapters back. Her name was Mira, one of Riser's pawns. Since the incident, she has trained herself with the sole objective of beating the guy in front of her.

A silver cross sword appeared on Touma's waist and he unsheathed it.

"You are free to try then." Touma said as he took a stance.

It was Masayuki Honjou's weapon, a Magisteel sword made by Dwarves in the other world. Because of the material it was made of, the sword has exceptional mana induction and is able to 'grow' along with the user.

There was a reason Touma didn't use the Spear of Longinus.

It was too lethal for the devils and he could accidentally kill someone, which is something he doesn't desire, as it will cause tons of trouble for him.

"Arrogant words for a human, but this time I won't be caught off guard." Mira said as she pointed her staff at Touma. "Remember this, my name is Mira and I'm the one who will defeat you!"

'Right, I almost forgot that I was in a shounen world…' Touma thought as he spent one millisecond to think of a proper introduction. "My name is Kamiya Touma, and as you know, a student."

Mira let out a battle cry and dashed at Touma.

*Clank* *Clank* *Clank* *Clank* *Clank*

Mira attacked Touma without a break from all angles, but each time they were deflected by his sword.

'How?' Sweat ran down Mira's forehead. 'Why are my attacks not landing on him? How is he deflecting all of my attacks?'

"Bastard! What tricks are you playing?" Mira shouted without ceasing her attacks.

"Tricks? I'm fighting fair and square." Touma said in his most 'innocent' tone. "Don't tell me, are you already tired?" His question made Mira grit her teeth.

"Don't kid with me! I am a proud member of Lord Riser's peerage!" She shouted as the staff engulfed in flames, similar to Riser's one.

"Stop. It's enough, Mira." The blond one, who was silent until now, finally spoke.

"Lady Ravel!" Mira said in surprise and the flames that covered her staff extinguished.

"Retreat for now, we have already seen enough." Ravel commanded and Mira jumped to where the young Phenex was.

"Hmm? So your 'Lady' finally decided to stop watching and join in?" Touma asked.

"No, I won't be fighting." Ravel replied to him while waving her hand. "While it was interesting to see a human reaching such a high level of skill, I guess it's as expected from someone who trained the Gremory's peerage. But…" She
paused and a smile formed on her face. "I wonder how long will you last?"

"My name is Ravel Phenex, Riser's younger sister as well as his bishop and strategist." She introduced herself and snapped her fingers. Soon, several figures came out of the buildings and from the forest too. "So, any last words, human?"

Touma maintained his smile, but one could see his eyes glowing as he looked at them.

While this was happening, the rest of the team were rushing towards Riser's location.

"Rias." Akeno called her King while turning her head to the side. "They have gone after Touma as he predicted. He has confirmed everyone except the King and Queen are there."

"Good job, Akeno. Everything is going as we planned." Rias said and then looked in a certain direction.

Akeno smirked upon seeing Rias' face. "Fufufu. It's cute to see you concerned for someone, Rias."

"Akeno! This isn't the right place or time for this!" The crimson devil exclaimed with a slightly crimson blush on her cheeks.

"I know, but everything is going to be alright. It's Touma we are talking about after all." Akeno said as she patted her friend's shoulder.

"But…"

"Have faith in Touma, President." Kiba said from the side. "He isn't someone to be defeated here." As someone who trained under a famous historical figure, Kiba could confirm that Touma was strong enough to face them alone. Besides, the amount of secrets up his sleeve was assuring, as he could turn the table if something unexpected occurred.

"...You are right. It was stupid of me to be concerned for him, I am sure he will beat everyone up." Rias chuckled and turned around. "Then let's head to the enemy King!"

"""Yes, president!"""

Riser's peerage members surrounded Touma so as to not let him escape.

If it were anyone else, they would find themselves in a very difficult situation. However, Touma was different. Having fully assimilated with Percival, Touma gained the strength of the Lancer Servant and Time-magic from Julius, it was all too easy to escape this predicament.

'Logically, I should defeat everyone here quickly and go to help the others, but alas, the magic nerd in me asks to see more of the Phenex's oh so prided fire.' Touma chuckled silently as he looked at them.

Ravel felt a chill running down her spine. 'Why is he laughing in this situation? Did he go crazy? Or he was already insane?' The young Phenex shook her head. 'No! You have to concentrate on battle, Ravel!' She waved her hand and signaled others to attack.

The first ones were the twin sisters Ile and Nel, who were both pawns. They dashed at Touma and raised their chainsaws.

*Vruuum!*

They jumped simultaneously and swung their weapons at Touma.

""Take this!"" They shouted in union.

Touma didn't waver and simply blocked their attack with his sword.

'Laplace.' He called upon his stand, and a humanoid being appeared behind him. 'Let's start by cleaning up the small fries first.' He put more strength into his block and shoved the twin sisters away.
*Keuk!*

When both of them were about to land on the ground, the sisters tripped over their own feet, and ended up with both of them crashing into the dirt. But what they didn't count on was the chainsaws they were wielding, the force of the collision caused them to hit each sister in their moment of carelessness.

They let out groans of pain before dispersing into molts of light.

[Two pawns of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

"..."

'What just happened?' All of them wondered as they looked to the place where their pawns once were. It all happened too suddenly for them to intervene.

'What did he do?' Ravel thought as she warily glared at Touma. Despite Ile and Nel young appearances and their attitude in battle, they were decades old and have years of Rating Game experience, so for them making such clumsy
mistakes was close to impossible! 'As expected, he has a trump card under his sleeve!'

"Change plans! Formation B!" Ravel commanded. She felt a little guilty for using the twins to test the waters, but it was necessary for her plan. 'We were just going to rough him up a little, but it doesn't seem to be that easy anymore.'

The peerage nodded and in that moment, there was a shift in the air around them.

'More like they finally started taking me as a proper opponent. Not that it would change anything though.' Touma thought and shrugged his shoulders.

"Be honored, Kamiya Touma, for making our Lady take you seriously, but your luck has run out. No matter what trick you used on us, it won't work again!" A knight declared and unsheathed her sword. "This will be your end!"

Without much delay, the bishops launched spells at Touma, while the knights, rooks, and pawns, charged after the barrage.

*Booom!*

A cloud of dust rose from the ground, blocking Ravel's view of the battlefield.

'Did we get him?' Ravel asked in her mind, for some reason, she felt uneasy about this situation.

(A/N: She just raised a death flag.)

Normally, one person would think that their victory was guaranteed in this situation, but Ravel thinks differently. As the one responsible for strategy, Ravel would only feel secure when she was assured of her victory.

However, even after waiting for a few seconds, Ravel didn't hear the announcement yet. Then she conjured a gust of wind to clear the view.

"You're kidding me…" Ravel muttered as her eyes widened in astonishment and horror. She unconsciously took a step back, as she couldn't believe in what she was seeing.

All the members of Riser's peerage were trapped inside of a blue sphere and completely immobilized in an instant! Not to mention, Touma was unscathed from their frontal assault!

'Just what kind of monster we stumbled upon? Was he chosen by Lord Lucifer to help his sister?' Ravel thought as sweat ran down her forehead.

"[Time magic: ChronoStasis]." Touma muttered the name of the spell he used, his voice slightly distorted.

"–!"

"My magic allows me to control the flow of time. Currently, time has stopped for all of your friends. In fact, they don't even have any clue what happened to them." Touma said and looked straight into Ravel's eyes. "So what will you do, Lady Phenex? You might free them if you manage to defeat me."

"...Will you release them if I ask nicely?" Ravel asked with a forced smile as she dropped her arrogant attitude. It took no fool to realize that her defeat was inevitable.

Ravel didn't need to hear an answer from Touma, his smile alone told her everything she needed to know.

"So, any last words, devil?" Touma asked, making Ravel grimace as she felt the jab.

*Sigh*

"There is no helping it." The Phenex muttered to herself, and clenched her fists. "I might lose, but don't think I will go down easily!" She shouted as she conjured fireballs around her. "I am Ravel Phenex, a proud member of the Phenex clan!"

'I hope I can hold this monster until my brother defeats their King.'

Time passed and Ravel grew more and more exhausted as the 'fight' went on. Contrary to some moments prior, her fancy clothes were covered in dirt, grime, and blood.

'It feels like I am playing a game of tag and I am the slow tagger!' She bemoaned in frustration. Her demonic energy reserves were nearing empty and she hadn't even landed a hit on the human in front of her!

Her flames would suddenly disappear as soon as they approached him and when Ravel launched herself at him, he would simply disappear from his spot, or, she found herself being tossed elsewhere. Things escalated and they were no longer on the ground, they opted for the sky as it had more space.

'And his smirk just irritates me further!' Ravel thought and gritted her teeth as she chased him. "Just…STOP MOVING ALREADY!" She howled and sped up in Touma's direction.

Touma looked at her in the corner of the eye, clearly amused at the current situation.

"Sure." He said happily and turned around before stopping abruptly, without warning.

Ravel widened her eyes as she didn't expect him to really stop, but it was too late, at the speed the Phenex was flying, her momentum wouldn't allow her to stop or change directions.

"Wait–!" The blond devil closed her eyes and braced herself for the impact, but instead she felt warm arms around her back. "Hnn?" She slowly opened her eyes and saw that she was in his arms. Her cheeks turned red in embarrassment for a moment before she realized their situation. She grinned evilly and returned the hug.

"I GOT YOU!" Ravel shouted and embraced him tightly to not let him escape. However, her excitement would soon die the moment she found out that she couldn't move nor conjure her flames at all!

'Don't tell me–!'

"I didn't know you were desperately chasing me for a hug, if you wanted I could've given you one, you know?" Touma said in a teasing tone and patted her head. Ravel was extremely embarrassed and if it weren't for Touma's spell, she would be all red now.

"Now that I have seen enough, I guess it's time to end this." Touma said and raised his hand. "It was nice playing with you, Ravel."

'I see…It seems I didn't manage to buy enough time for my brother. Kamiya Touma, you are certainly the most annoying opponent I have ever met. The next we meet, I…' Ravel thought and chuckled in her mind. 'I would like to talk to you properly. '

*Snap!*

Touma snapped his fingers and every member that was trapped inside his spell turned into molts of light.

[Six pawns of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

[Two rooks of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

[Two bishops of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

Grayfia's voice traveled throughout the virtual space, shocking a duo and reassuring others.

Touma turned his gaze in the direction of Kuoh academy's main building.

"Time to see how they are doing."

With the help of the familiars, Riser could be located relatively easily, for he had no intention of hiding. Together with his queen Yubelluna he waited for Rias' arrival in Kuoh's track and field.

Rias and her peerage made their way from the old school building to Phenex's location, choosing a different route than Touma. They heard the sound of explosions in the background and silently prayed for his safety.

Normally, Rias would rush to his aid, but Touma instructed them to follow the plan and not worry about him.

"Everyone, we are approaching his location." Akeno said and they nodded in union. They turned around the corner and finally met their opponents.

"So you finally came to me, Rias. I was tired of standing around, but if it's for my soon to be wife, I find it bearable to wait." Said Riser in his usual arrogant tone.

"No one will be your wife, not now nor in the future, Riser!" Retorted Rias, who did not want to continue playing his game. "Everything will be settled here once and for all!"

"Then struggle as you want." Riser let out an amused snort. "Yubelluna, do whatever you want with them."

"Yes, Lord Riser." The Phenex's queen compiled to his call and walked forward.

"Akeno." Rias turned to her best friend.

"Ufufufu, I know. I will end this soon and then go to help you." The half fallen said with her hand covering her mouth and stepped forward.

The respective queens had a brief staredown contest before Yubelluna broke eye contact first and flew towards the sky. Akeno let out an "Ara ara" and followed her suit.

This will soon be a battle between queens and the sky as the battlefield they have chosen. The sound of explosions and lightning cracking could be heard everywhere around the battlefield.

"As entertaining all of this is, it's finally time to put an end to this." Riser said and spread his arms open. "Come at me, my dear Rias, and I will show you how futile your little resistance is against the might of immortal Phenex!"

"Let's see who will laugh at the end." Rias said and charged the power of destruction in her hand. "[Destruction Blast]!" A magic circle with the same color as her hair appeared in front of her and shot a crimson lightning at Riser.

The blond devil snorted and was unfazed by her attack. The immortality of Phenex would heal his wounds as long as he had demonic power, so Riser wasn't worried about the damage, on the contrary, he wanted to demoralize Rias by healing all the wounds she dealt on him.

'Oh Rias, no matter what you do, it will be all useless in the end. I will keep regenerating until you have no strength left!' Thought the Phenex as he grinned.

Then the lightning hit him and Riser was sent a few meters back and created a cloud of dust.

"I have to admit. If I was anyone else, it would probably leave me in a bad condition. However…" Riser emerged from it with an arrogant smirk and was unscattered aside from his dirty clothes. "It's useless–"

"[Twin Crimson Snake]!" Rias didn't let him finish and immediately continued her attack.

Rule number 1: Never let your enemies finish their monologue

Two magic circles appeared and two crimson snakes appeared out of it, with each flying towards Riser and circled around his arms. Immediately, the snakes pushed and threw the devil.

"Kiba!"

"On it!" Kiba dashed forward and a dark red sword appeared in his hand. "[Sword Birth]!" A mountain of blades like the one in his hand emerged from the ground and each pointed towards the sky.

Kiba felt much of his demonic power reserves emptying quickly as he prepared his next move, but he didn't waver and concentrated on his next attack.

"[Sword Birth: Barrage Mode]!" He waved his hand and felt his demonic power leave him, the blades shooting into the sky and piercing many parts of Riser's body. Each blade has the ability to let the target's demonic power escape into the atmosphere, effectively acting like a temporary hole in a container.

Yellow flames immediately appeared in the wounds, but compared to before they were smaller in size and its effectiveness also seemed to decrease.
This didn't go unnoticed to the Phenex and widened his eyes in shock after realizing their plan. 'It seems I had underestimated them. They knew the immortality of Phenex is directly related to our own demonic power and talent, so they targeted first my demonic power reserves to limit my regeneration.' The sentiment would soon be replaced by rage and with a burst of his power, yellow flames came out of his body and destroyed all the swords around him.

"I must praise you, for you to make me, a proud member of the Phenex clan, bleed." Riser said with fury in his eyes. He landed on the ground with his figure engulfed in flames as it healed his wounds, but there were some visible stains of blood on his clothes.

[Two pawns of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

"...And maybe that human isn't that bad after all." He commented while looked at the sky and then at Rias. "However, this is where the playtime is over."

The blond devil waved his hand and the flames disappeared along with his wounds. He raised his hand and a big yellow magic circle appeared. "Take this! [Great Phenex Fire]!"

Then it shot a torrent of yellow flames and it traveled at high speed in Rias' group.

Rias hurriedly gathered her demonic power in one spell and fired it. "[Destruction Canon]!"

The yellow flames Phenex collided with the Power of Destruction of Bael and both struggled for dominance. Rias' PoD (Power of Destruction) had more raw destructive power, but Riser had more demonic power to fill in what he lacked, so he began to overcharge the spell.

Sweat ran down Rias' forehead as she was slowly being pushed back, but even then she tried her hardest to fight back.

'I will run out of strength if this keeps on going!' Rias thought and tried her best to come up with a solution. 'I will have no choice but to use everything in an instant!'

The redhead let out a warcry and her spell reduced in size, but increased in potency. The flames were being slowly pushed back, but it wasn't enough to turn the tables.

'Even this isn't enough…' Rias grimaced, but suddenly a golden lightning fell from the sky at Riser's spot. The Gremory heiress immediately recognised them as the Holy Lightning from her Queen. She smiled and thought of 'thanking' Touma for helping Akeno to overcome her past.

Due to the surprise attack and the Holy element, Riser staggered for an instant, but in that short time was enough for Rias to reverse the situation. The PoD went through Phenex's flames and successfully hit the blond devil.

"Ughrr!" Riser let out a painful groan as he fell on the ground. He coughed blood and tried to regulate his breath.

Rias also fell on her knees exhausted, but there was a triumphant smile upon seeing the injuries on her enemy.

'I did it!' Rias thought happily while panting heavily.

"Lord Riser!" Yubelluna shouted and she tried to get close to her King. She was covered in bruises and scorch marks on her clothes, In her hand there was a golden vial, which didn't go unnoticed to Rias.

'Phoenix tear! This is bad, we can't let him recover!' Rias thought and tried to get up, but found that she didn't have any strength to do so. So she turned to her Queen and Rook who was still somewhat fine. "Akeno, Koneko! We can't let them recover!"

She received a nod from both of them and they immediately went to intercept their opponents. Then Rias found herself covered in green light, she turned around and saw Asia with her forehead covered in sweat.

"Thank you, Asia."

"T-This is nothing, president!" The blondie replied.

'How cute.' The redhead thought, but shook her head and concentrated back on the ongoing fight.

The purple haired Queen upon seeing them approaching immediately casted several magic circles.

"Don't get in my way!"

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

Akeno casted a shield that protected her and Koneko from the explosions.

"Annoying." She heard the petite girl muttering and she couldn't agree more. During her fight, the Bomb Queen kept spamming explosion spells from distance and immediately retreated farther away once she made sure to render Akeno's vision.

Akeno raised her hand and a golden electricity traveled between her fingers.

"[Holy Lightning]!" She called again her bloodline power and fired at the Queen.

However, contrary to her thoughts, Yubelluna tanked the attack with her body and managed to reach her King.

"H-Here, Lord Riser." Yubelluna said between her breaths and shakingly opened the vial. She tilted her hand and a single red drop fell on Riser, healing all of his injuries.

Riser got up and patted his Queen's shoulder.

"You did good, Yube. You can rest for now." Riser said and the purple haired woman nodded. The blond King looked at Rias and her group and said with visible anger in his voice. "Now, Gremory's peerage, time for round 2."

Rias' peerage prepared to fight like Riser, however an announcement stopped them from making any move.

[Six pawns of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

[Two rooks of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

[Two bishops of Riser's peerage have been disqualified.]

""W-What!?"" Riser and Yubelluna exclaimed in surprise and widened their eyes in shock and suddenly started feeling a sense of dread. While Rias' group chuckled.

"I knew you could do it, Touma." Rias muttered and she felt a presence in the sky. Looking up, she saw a black haired young man floating in the air while smiling in their direction.

Rating Game (Finale)
(At Riser's side…)

Riser Phenex was having a bad day.

No, that wasn't exactly accurate.

He hasn't been feeling well since that damned HUMAN appeared. At first he hadn't thought of him much when they first met, only a tiny bug that could be eliminated at any time.

However, Riser was wrong, WAY wrong.

He had noticed it when his pawn was easily countered and sent flying. But as a member of the Phenex clan, Riser couldn't show any weakness to anyone, every devil had their own pride after all.

Since that day, Riser had a feeling of dread that a tragedy was about to befall him. If it wasn't for his parents wanting him to marry the redhead devil, he wouldn't do it! But now it reached this point, Riser couldn't just tarnish the honor of Phenex. So he had used his contacts to get information of the young man Touma Kamiya, but no matter how hard they searched for something useful, it was all in vain, everything they got about him seemed no different from ordinary.

With no other choice, Riser instructed his peerage a few days prior Rating Game to take care of the human while he along with his Queen dealt with Rias and her peerage. He hoped the unease in his heart would go away.

However, as the same as before, Riser was wrong.

Not only had Touma eliminated his entire assigned peerage, but Rias and her group proved more troublesome than he had anticipated.

'Dammit, what exactly happened during those two weeks? Riser cursed in his mind. His demonic power reserves were lower than he would have liked, not to mention that his gut kept telling him to get the hell out of there as soon as possible ever since that human had suddenly appeared. 'Where did someone like that show up?

"I-It's impressive that you have defeated all my peerages, but so what? You are still no match for me!" Riser knew he sounded ridiculous, but he could not think straight at the moment, not when his instincts were constantly screaming at him. Even then, he could not show weakness.

And for some reason, the human did not respond to his provocation. Instead, he had put on a sinister smile that sent a shiver down Riser's spine.

(General POV)

Touma ignored Riser's provocation and land next to Rias and her peerage gathered around him.

"Are you okay? Are you injured?" Asia spoke first in a concerned tone and was ready to use her Sacred Gear to heal him, however he brought his hand up and stopped her.

"Don't worry about me, they weren't that much trouble to begin with." Touma said with a reassuring smile before turning to Rias. "What's the current situation?"

"We managed to hold off and even exhaust Riser to the point we could injure him, however his Queen healed him with a drop of Phoenix Tear." Rias told him a summary of what happened.

"Good, but how about you?"

"*Sigh* Kiba And I are exhausted during the confrontation with Riser, but I can still fight."

"I can still fight just fine." "Me too." Akeno and Koneko said respectively.

"I can–" Asia tried to join in, but it was immediately denied by everyone.

"No, you are still not ready to fight anyone yet." Touma countered in which the blond girl just dropped her shoulders. Seeing her like this, Touma couldn't help but pat her head.

"Keep training and one day you might join us in the battle." Touma said and retracted his hand.

Asia nodded and then all of them turned to Riser.

"Now…Chicken Nugget, it's time to end this Rating Game." Touma said and turned to the remaining Phenex.

"C-Chicken Nugget…?" Riser muttered dumbstuckered as no one ever called him that. He gritted his teeth in anger and clenched his fists. "There will be no ashes when I am done with you!"

Touma chuckled and stepped forward. "Rias, I am leaving his Queen for you."

"Roger." Rias said along with her peerage.

Looking at Touma who ignored him completely, Riser grew more annoyed. "Do you think you can do whatever you want–!?" The devil didn't finish speaking when a fist suddenly hit his stomach. "Buwah!"

The force was great enough to send him flying from his place in an instant.

'How is it possible? How is he so fast?' Riser thought and stopped mid-air. 'This is bad, I need to get out and re…cover…' His thoughts were interrupted by a foot approaching quickly his face.

'[Time Magic: Epitáchynsi Chrónou (Time Acceleration)]' Touma chanted silently, making the time around his body accelerate greatly and did a roundhouse kick on Riser's face.

*Booom!*

Riser's body crashed on the ground at high speed, creating a crater on the ground. The devil coughed and groaned in pain as his clan's trait tried its best to heal him.

'Why does it fucking hurts so much!' He thought and tried his best to stand up, but his knees weren't helping much as it kept shaking. Then he saw Touma appear in thin air in front of him and glared at him with hatred.

"Bastard…I will fucking murder you…" Riser muttered under his breath as he was breathing heavily at this point.

'I didn't even need to use [Crest of Stars] to beat this guy up. Is it that unique skill that I got from Masayuki, where every one of my attacks are critical hits?' Touma thought and he took a mental note to create a fighting style that combines most of his abilities and use them effectively.

Touma crouched and looked directly at Riser's eyes.

"Tired already?" He mockingly asked.

"You…!" Riser clenched his fist and tried to punch him, but he was too slow for Touma. The black haired young man simply side stepped and dodged the blow easily.

Riser stumbled on his own feet after failing to deliver the punch and fell on the ground again.

"It's useless. There is no chance for you to win, Riser." Touma said and extended his hand. Then a comically pink colored gun appeared in his hand and pointed at the devil in front of him. Touma had to use all of his willpower to grin like a madman at his little mischievous plan.

[The Queen of Riser's peerage has been disqualified.]

"W-Wait! Do you know how important this marriage is for the future of the entire Devil society? This is a union between two high-class devils, from which the strongest devil of all times can emerge! So why is a powerful human like you interfering with it!?" Riser said as he retreated a little away from Touma.

"You are asking for my reason?" Toma questioned and stopped for a second. "If I had to pick one, it would be for my own interests and also to lend a hand to a friend. Also, do you really think that just because the union between Gremory and Phenex Pillars will give birth to a devil with both of these traits? It's not even guaranteed and with how awful the fertility of devils are I doubt you would ever succeed."

"B-But there is a possibility!" Riser countered immediately. "And don't be ridiculous! After humiliating us and interfering just for that mere reason?" He asked indignantly while buying time to recover.

"That's right. While I won't tell you my objectives, I will let you know that I don't care about that tiny possibility of the strongest devil or some bullshit. Whatever your or your clan's plans may be will just disappear along with your genitals." Touma said as he put index finger on the trigger.

"*Tsk* You are mad!" Riser didn't understand what he meant by that, but he felt that Touma wouldn't listen to him anymore. So he used the remaining of his demonic power to create a torrent of flames at Touma's direction with Phenex's flames and wind magic. "[Hell's Fire]!"

*Sigh*

"I already told you it's useless." Touma muttered and accelerated himself in time and reappeared behind Riser in an instant. "Farewell, miss Phenex." Touma pressed the trigger and it shot a pink beam at Riser.

Then Touma immediately punched 'him' and knocked Riser out with a punch.

[The King Riser Phenex has been disqualified. The winner of the Rating Game is King Rias Gremory.]

Afterwards
In a certain vacation house in Kuoh, Azazel took a sip of his favourite beverage as he watched a projection displaying Rias' Rating Game through his contacts.

Usually, Azazel didn't bother watching those as they were just a bunch of arrogant man-children beating each other or political schemes, but when he learned that Touma was participating in the whole engagement fiasco, it got his interest.

'It is starting.' He thought after hearing Grayfia's announcement. To this day it's still a mystery to him how she was single when she was Satan's Queen, but if it meant that he had a slim chance, he wouldn't bother questioning it.

Then Azazel rubbed his goatee as he saw how Touma effortlessly defeated Riser's peerage and came out unscathed.

'Time magic. A magic that controls the flow of time. While it wasn't unheard of, seeing a human, and a young one at that, displaying this level of mastery is very impressive.'

Azazel could understand why Rias was confident of winning with someone like Touma by her side. It was practically a guaranteed victory. But of course, this show of force would attract a number of unwanted attention, whether it be good or bad. He wouldn't doubt that the Khaos Brigade was watching at that moment.

'Speaking of the Rating Game, the Gremory girl and the group were better than what my intel told me, that redheaded siscon must be proud of his sister.' He smirked at the thought and could imagine the scene.

But his smile gradually disappeared and was replaced by a frown. Without knowing it, Azazel leaned forward and just sat on the edge of the couch. The reason was that on the screen in front of him, Touma pulled a strangely familiar gun out of nowhere, which made Azazel spit his expensive alcohol out of his mouth.

"HOW DOES HE HAVE THAT!?" Azazel shouted at the top of his lungs.

The gender bender gun was a secret project that Azazel carried alone without anyone's help, fearing that one day its power would fall into the wrong hands, like certain devils and gods. For that reason, the fallen angel made sure that only he knew of its existence.

'Did he stop time and steal the gun when he visited me last time? No, it's impossible. There were many traps and boundaries and none were triggered, not to mention I am quite resistant to time-stopping magic…'

While Azazel was fumbling over the possibilities, the young man in question was quite busy thinking about how he would scam–ask Phenex for his favors.

(Meanwhile…)

After the last announcement, they were teleported to the Underworld, the dimension that housed the majority of the devil population and other species.

Everyone looked at each other without speaking a single word, creating a momentary silence that was quickly broken by a collective shout.

"WE DID IT!" Rias and her peerage screamed in unison and Touma couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

As Rias was next to Touma, she jumped on him and hugged him tightly, stuffing his face in her bosom.

"Thank you so much, Touma!"

"You're welcome, Rias." That's what he wanted to say, but only muffles came out, causing some vibrations in her clothes which made her blush a little. Then she leaned her head forward next to his ear.

"I will 'thank' you later." Rias whispered, making Touma's ear twitch and redden, but before he could say anything, Rias separated from him with her head turned away, refusing to let him see her massive blush.

*Chuckle*

Rias and Touma turned their heads and found themselves being stared at by everyone with amused expressions.

"Ara~Ara~"

"Perverts."

"Haha."

Touma smiled wryly and Rias covered her face in embarrassment.

*Knock* *Knock*

Their attention shifted to the entrance.

The handle twisted and the door opened. A crimson-haired man with green eyes like Rias entered the room.

'Sirzechs Lucifer.' Touma thought and squinted his eyes as he analyzed the man and reached a single conclusion.

'He is strong.'

As Touma progressed with Julius' card assimilation, he became more sensitive to mana, as such he could clearly see how much of a monster Sirzechs was from his demonic power alone.

"Brother!" Rias called him in surprise.

"Congratulations on your first victory, Rias and everyone." Sirzechs said as he looked at everyone and his eyes landed on Touma. "... And you must be Kamiya Touma. My name is Sirzechs Lucifer, one of the current Satans and as Rias' brother I thank you for lending a hand to my sister."

"It's nothing much, Lord Lucifer. I was just helping a friend." Touma said politely.

"Hahaha. No need to be polite when we are in private, just call me Sirzechs." The redhead said and extended his hand, which Touma shook. "If you ever need help, you can count on my help as long as it is within my capabilities."

Touma widened his eyes in surprise from an outside perspective, but he was happy and had somewhat expected it since what type of siscon brother wouldn't reward the person for helping his sister?

Not to mention that getting a favor from one of the Satans was something huge and not something you got every day. Touma could use this favor to get his backing or something similar.

"Thank you."

Sirzechs nodded in approval and turned towards Rias, but everyone in the room felt a pressure coming from the outside of the room which was quickly approaching them.

A knock on the door was heard before it was opened and a familiar maid entered with the accompaniment of a few furious individuals.

"Sorry for disturbing you, but Lord Phenex has requested an urgent meeting." Grayfia said emotionlessly, but deep inside one could see annoyance. She stepped aside and a blond man walked forward and was also the source of the beacon of demonic power.

'Here he comes.' Touma thought as he looked at him blankly, albeit trying hard to not laugh, because he knew why exactly this man was here.

He looked around the room until he spotted Touma, gritting his teeth in fury as he stomped in his direction.

"You puny human…!" The blond man muttered and unleashed his pressure on Touma. "I will kill you for what you did to my son!"

Lord Phenex raised his fist engulfed in the yellow flames of Phenex and prepared to jump at Touma, however, the black-haired young man remained unmoved, because he knew the attack would never reach him. Why? Because he knew there was a certain siscon here.

Immediately, another pressure befell everyone in the room and made Lord Phenex stop in his tracks, as he began sweating unconsciously.

"Lord Phenex, just what do you think you are doing in my presence?" Sirzechs said coldly as his pressure alone made Lord Phenex's heart sink. He began sweating nervously and was forced to halt.

"M-My apologies for m-my abrupt actions, Lord Lucifer. But this human has done something unforgivable to my son." Lord Phenex said with his voice trembling as he pointed his finger at Touma.

"Me?" Touma asked innocently as he pointed at himself. "I just knocked him out. I don't see what is wrong with that."

"Don't joke with me." Lord Phenex hissed as he glared daggers at him. "You just turned him into a…" He hesitated to finish the sentence as he looked around.

"A what?" Touma asked and with great willpower, he controlled his facial muscles to not laugh.

"You turned Riser into… a woman." Lord Phenex gritted his teeth as he said the last part of the sentence with anger and embarrassment.

"WHAT!?" Everyone in the room exclaimed in surprise, except for one young man.

*Pffft!*

Touma couldn't hold it anymore and started laughing hysterically while the others were confused about the situation.

Lord Phenex clenched his fist in anger and wanted to scorch the human in front of him, but looking at the Sirzechs he decided to hold his anger

"Sorry sorry, I just couldn't hold it anymore." Touma said as he wiped the tear from his eye. "Yes, I did it. But so what? It's not like he is crippled or anything."

"I demand you to change him back or else you will suffer the wrath of Phenex!"

"Are you threatening me?" Touma questioned with a raised eyebrow. He inspected the blond devil, but his instincts didn't tell him he was a threat. He was stronger than Riser, but Touma could still beat him. 'Which means he will use his influence as the richest family to kill me.'

"Threatening? No, I am making a promise. If you don't change my son back, you will wish that I killed you." Lord Phenex said and the pressure befell on Touma.

Sirzechs looked at Touma and was ready to intervene, but when he saw the confident look on the young man's face, he stopped and watched the scene unfold, even if Rias was stealing some glances at him to help her friend.

'Are they only friends though?' The redhead thought and decided to ask Rias later.

"Is that so?" Touma asked. "Then go ahead and try."

Lord Phenex was about to retorque but widened his eyes in horror when he found himself unable to move.

'Don't… tell… me.'

"You know, I uphold the principle of equivalent exchange." Touma said as he approached the frozen Phenex. "So let me ask you, Lord Phenex, what will you offer in return for your son's manhood?"

Touma stared into the Phenex's yellow eyes, which were trembling in anger and fear. Touma snapped his finger and released him from the time-stop spell.

"... What do you want?" Lord Phenex asked after a brief pause. "Money? Women? Power? I will give you everything you want!"

"Don't be ridiculous Lord Phenex, so you think your son is only worth that much? Just a few million or a few women? Is that what you think, Lord Phenex?" Touma asked mockingly.

"Then what–" Lord Phenex was about to ask, but was interrupted by a voice in the corridor.

"Father!" Ravel shouted as she entered the room.

"Ravel! What are you doing here?" Lord Phenex asked with widened eyes.

"I offer myself in exchange for my brother's m-manhood." Ravel said with conviction but got embarrassed at the end. Then she looked at Touma and asked. "Is that fine?"

_______________________________________________________________________

After Ravel's proposal, the room was filled with shock and surprise.

Ravel was blushing deeply while looking expectantly into Touma's eyes, waiting for his response.

Lord Phenex woke up from the shock and quickly shook his daughter's shoulder.

"R-Ravel, what in Satan's name are you saying!?" Lord Phenex asked in panic as sweat poured down on his forehead. "How can you say this to the one who humiliated our Phenex clan!? Not to mention he is just a mere human!" He said the last part with venom in his voice.

'That's some racism right there.' Touma thought and raised an eyebrow, but he decided not to say anything to watch the scene unfold and hear Ravel's response.

"Father, please." Ravel pleaded as she held her father's hand firmly. "If the knowledge of my brother becoming a girl spreads to the public, our reputation will be tarnished even more! So I think it's the best course of action!"

"And I know this sounds bad when we have lost, but if he is on friendly terms with the Gremory, I am sure he is at least a decent man!"

What Ravel said had some reasoning, the Gremory clan was one of the few remaining pillars that were friendly towards their servants, reincarnated devils and other races in general.

Ravel looked at Rias and the redhead understood her intent, so she nodded and stepped forward.

"I can vouch for him, despite him acting strange sometimes–" "Hey!" "–I assure you as Gremory that he is a good and gentle person." Rias said with seriousness, but deep inside she was amused and side glanced at Touma.

Lord Phenex hearing that only made him grit his teeth in anger at the humiliation he was receiving. The situation demanded either he loses his daughter to get his son back to normal or their clan's reputation will go to the ground and become the mocking figure for the devils.

He eventually calmed down and thought about it deeply. Either way, his reputation will suffer, but the latter will be more severe than the first one.

'There is no other way…' Lord Phenex thought and shot a glare at the young man in question, who was just smiling at them, which made him have a bad feeling about this whole ordeal.

Following him, everyone turned their eyes to Touma, waiting for his response.

The young man grinned and opened his mouth.

"Do you really think you are worth the same?" Touma questioned which made everyone in the room freeze.

'What are you saying, Touma!?' Rias thought as she started sweating buckets. She tried to help get Ravel under Touma, as she could at least feel no malice intents from the blond girl and she even held some admiration and maybe affection for him in the short time they met, which she found strange but didn't question it as most of the devils had some… special tastes.

"W-What?" Ravel stuttered in confusion and panic.

"Ravel, right?" Touma asked rhetorically, as he already knew her name. "Certainly, you are beautiful and cute and surely will grow into a charming woman in the future." Touma paused and looked into her eyes. "But do you think your appearance is enough? Or do you think your noble status is enough to make you worth turning Riser back for?"

Ravel bit her lower lip in frustration and said. "I am experienced in working as a tactician and manager and I am also knowledgeable of Magic."

"That's what I wanted to hear. Alright, I accept your deal." Touma nodded in agreement. 'A tactician and a manager are important roles for an organization and Ravel is a good candidate for both positions, she only lacks experience in real battles and not Rating Games.'

His words made Ravel sigh in relief, but for some reason, she felt like she was being interviewed.

'It must be my imagination.' She thought and shook her head. "When will you turn brother back?"

"Hmm, only tomorrow. The gun has a cooldown of one day, so I will only be able to turn him back tomorrow night." Touma lied with a straight face. There was no such thing as a cooldown, but it would be no fun if Riser didn't experience it at least once right?

Touma was aware that he might be acting like a scumbag right now, but he didn't care.

'Well, if anything I can just say "It's a prank bro" and settle with it.' Touma thought.

"Very well then I will excuse myself and take my leave." Ravel said and bowed slightly to Sirzechs and glanced at Touma for a second before walking away and followed by Lord Phenex.

"Well…now that's settled how about we have a commemoration party?" Sirzechs suggested, but then he noticed their state and added. "Of course, only after a shower and rest."

Everyone nodded in agreement and Sirzechs transported them back to the Human World.

When they returned, the sky had already started darkening and then after a brief discussion, they decided to celebrate Rias' first victory in Touma's house.

They brought food from Gremory mansion and thanks to Azazel's house renovation, Touma's house was big enough to have everyone inside without much trouble.

Touma messaged his parents, who weren't at home yet, that he would be bringing his friends over for a party. They didn't have a problem with it and said they will try to return home as early as possible.

And currently…

"Kamiya-sama, please leave the kitchen duty to me as the head maid of the Gremory household. You can enjoy yourself with others." Grayfia said while trying to kick Touma out of the kitchen.

"I refuse." Touma didn't bulge and started washing the ingredients while ignoring her glare. "My house, my rules, lady."

"..." Grayfia frowned, but she couldn't find a way to refute him. In the end, she sighed in defeat and went to help him. "By you will, Kamiya-sama."

He had the experience of his past and current lives, while also having the cooking skills of Percival, not to mention Julius had eaten many luxurious meals that Touma could recreate if he wanted to.

Besides, Touma has Cheonmujiche, a trait that made him skilled in everything he did with his body, cooking included. Centuries of experience can be reduced to only a few days!

'Don't underestimate me, woman. Just because you are a few centuries older doesn't mean you are better than me!'

"Grayfia." Touma called the silver-haired maid. "Let's bet."

"Bet?" The maid asked without stopping.

"Whoever makes the tastiest meal will win and the loser will have to listen to the winner." Touma challenged her with a smirk of his own.

Grayfia raised an eyebrow and contemplated for a second and nodded with a competitive look in her eyes. "Very well, I will show you what Gremory's head maid is capable of. Don't come complaining if you lose."

Touma scoffed at her.

'Don't regret this later.'

Meanwhile, Rias and Sirzechs looked at the pair with amused expressions.

"Touma and Grayfia, what an odd pair." Sirzechs commented from the side.

"Agree, but I guess Grayfia's diligence in her maid duties and Touma's love for cooking created this situation." Rias said and chuckled at the scene.

Exactly half an hour later, Tomua's parents arrived and were surprised to see so many people there.

"Oh my! I knew Touma said that he will be bringing friends here, but I didn't expect so many!" Rika exclaimed in surprise.

"It's so lively here." Tendou commented from the side as they changed to slippers.

"Pardon our intrusion, I am Sirzechs Lucifer and Rias' elder brother. Nice to meet you." Sirzechs introduced himself and was followed by others.

They talked for a bit before they heard Touma's voice from the kitchen.

"The food is ready!" Touma said and brought trails of food and put them on the table.

There were several different dishes and Tendou and Rika could easily spot the ones which weren't cooked by their son.

"They are competing, Kamiya-san. Touma challenged our maid to a cooking competition." Rias commented with a warm smile, which wasn't unnoticed by the parents.

'First name basis huh…' Tendou and Rika looked at each other and nodded.

"I can't wait to try them." Rika commented as she took a seat.

Soon, everyone was at the table and the ambient turned cheery and lively and once they finished eating, the winner was decided.

"How… How is this possible?" Grayfia muttered in shock and turned towards the young man in question. Touma got the majority of the votes, which was impossible in normal circumstances. "How did you do it?"

At her question, Touma smirked and moved his fingers in a heart shape.

"It's simple. I made it with love." Touma replied which made her eyebrow twitch. He smiled and moved his head beside her ear. "Don't forget our bet. I will reclaim my rewards later."

And before Grayfia said anything, Touma had already moved his head away. "It's true, my love can be spicy sometimes, want to taste it?"

Touma's parents' faces darkened when they heard him while Grayfia frowned, but she was ultimately curious and nodded.

"I will be back." Touma said with the biggest smile on his face.

"I… I will go stargazing." Tendou said with his voice trembling and turned around and left.

"I-I will catch some fresh air." Rika said and followed him behind.

Grayfia raised an eyebrow in wonder but didn't say anything. Touma returned a few seconds later with a plate in his hand.

"Sorry to make you wait, here you go."

Grayfia looked at the dish and with her centuries' worth of knowledge she immediately recognised the dish.

"Mapo tofu?" She asked, but for some reason, her instincts were screaming at her to run away. 'Strange, there are no foreign ingredients either, so why?'

Grayfia quickly scanned with magic but didn't find any weird substance, which made her even more curious.

She scooped with a spoon and brought a mouthful size inside her mouth.

Grayfia widened her eyes almost immediately and before she knew it, she broke her stoic persona and was already screaming at the top of her lungs.

'This is so painful, but at the same time, it's so delicious that I can't stop eating it.' Grayfia thought as tears flowed down her cheeks.

(Later at night)

The party had ended and everyone decided to sleep over, except Sirzechs and Grayfia who returned to Underworld. There were a lot of free rooms, so there were no problems.

In his bedroom, Touma sat on his bed with Gacha window open.

'I've been waiting for this.' Touma couldn't stop his excitement and rolled.

Aside from the usual rolls, there were three items that picked Touma's attention.

The first one was Meliodas' Sacred Treasure, a sword that had the ability to make copies of the wielder in exchange for the original power being distributed equally depending on the number of copies, which was 5 in total. But Touma couldn't use Full Counter like Meliodas, so he couldn't use it like was originally supposed to.

'But that is what makes it fun. I will just have to use it differently.' Touma thought and decided to do a few experiments in the future.

The Holy Water of Life was the potion that Sung Jin Woo from Solo Leveling crafted to cure his mother. It is certainly useful since it can cure any type of disease since neither Senzu beans nor Phoenix tears have the capability to do it.

Each had its own advantages and disadvantages.

And lastly, there is the [Body Revival Technique].

Touma frowned since he didn't remember seeing it from the anime, but according to its description, it's a technique that can repair and strengthen the user's body by destroying and repairing the muscles in a cycle. It also allows the user to survive a fatal wound or heal instantly from damage.

'It's useless for me though since I drank the [Fountain of Youth].'

Touma wanted to roll more, but he heard someone knocking on the door, which made him close the tab.

"Touma?"

He heard Rias' voice from the other side.

"Come in."

The door opened and Rias entered his bedroom. Touma widened his eyes once he saw her attire, which consisted of only black lingerie.

"Rias?" Touma called her and he could feel the heat rising, along with his other thing.

"Touma." Rias bashfully called him, with her cheeks as red as her hair. "What do you think?"

"You look beautiful." Touma said honestly.

Rias smiled and closed the door behind her.

"I am glad." Rias smiled warmly and walked towards him and sat on his lap. "Once again, thank you for everything, Touma."

"I—" Touma stopped talking when the redhead put her finger on his lips.

"I know, but I just wanted to say this." Rias said and leaned forward. "If you hadn't come, I would probably still be engaged or worse, forced to marry that man."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"But it didn't happen. And the reason was you, Touma. You changed everyone in a positive way, including me. So even if there will be more girls around beside me, I want you to know that I love you."

Touma smiled wryly as he hugged her hip.

"You knew?"

"Of course, silly. I had already noticed how Akeno was looking at you. The only reason she didn't do anything was that I made her promise that I would be the first."

"That's cute for both of you." Touma said as he leaned forward, stealing Rias' cherry lips.

It was a simple peck that lasted for a few seconds before they separated.

"I love you." Touma said as he brought her closer to his body.

Rias moved her hand to her back and pulled a string, which made the lingerie loosen and fall on the ground, fully exposing her voluptuous breasts and thighs.

"I love you too." Rias said as she kissed him and both of them fell on the bed, with Ruas on top of him.

And then noises of pounding and other lewd noises echoed in the room throughout the entire night. But luckily for them, all rooms were soundproofed.

Aftermath (1)
The birds chirped as they welcomed the next day.

The sun rose from the horizon and rays of light illuminated the bedroom.

Touma woke up to the sight of crimson hair scattered on his chest while feeling the warmth and softness on his right arm. He turned his head and saw Rias sleeping peacefully while using his arm as a pillow, burying it between her bonkers.

He looked at the clock and saw that there were still a few hours remaining before breakfast, meaning he still had free time.

Touma looked back at Rias 'sleeping' on his arm as his lips curled up. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against her forehead.
Rias's body twitched slightly and a smile appeared on her lips.

Touma chuckled and then poked her nose causing Rias to giggle and open her eyes.

"Good morning, Rias."

"Good morning…" Rias greeted back as she rubbed her eyes. Then a yawn escaped from her mouth before she made herself comfortable again on his chest. "So we are officially a couple now?"

Touma raised his eyebrow and embraced her within his arms.

"Are you really asking that after everything?"

"What's wrong with me asking this? I dislike being vague about our relationship." Rias pouted and playfully poked his chest with her index finger.

"Sorry, sorry, I was just joking. I also think the same, leaving the relationship vague generally acts as a bad omen for both parties. And that's why, my answer to your question is…" Touma closed the distance between their faces and gave her a passionate kiss. "Yes."

They kissed again and stopped when Touma pointed his finger towards the shower.

"We still have time, so why don't we continue in the shower?" Rias nodded excitedly at his question. Then he carried Rias in bridal carry style, which made her giggle.

After the little session in the shower, they cleaned the bedroom and changed to new clothes.

"Rias." Touma called out his lover. "Today I am going to tell my parents about the supernatural."

"Why so suddenly?" Rias raised an eyebrow and asked curiously. "Don't misunderstand, I am not against it or anything like that, but why so suddenly?"

"I thought it would be easier for us to do our activities without being afraid of being discovered. And also the fact I don't feel comfortable using hypnosis on them when we can solve this with a simple talk."

Rias smiled fondly, feeling warmth in her chest as she saw her boyfriend's deep care for his family.

"I don't think they will react to it in an exaggerated manner, so rest assured." Rias said as she put her palm above his.

"Thank you." Touma said. "Now let's go down and have breakfast

Touma walked downstairs earlier than he usually did and decided to make breakfast for everyone.

Opening the fridge, he took out eggs, mushrooms, onions, ham, green onions and leftover rice.

That's right, he was going to make the iconic omurice.

Due to his inhuman cooking abilities, the fragrance of the food spread throughout the house, forcing those who were sleeping to wake up and those who were already awake to drool at the scent.

It didn't take too long for a series of footsteps to approach the kitchen. Several heads simultaneously popped up at the kitchen door, watching Touma attentively.

"The breakfast will soon be ready, so why don't you go prepare the table?"

In the corner of his eye, Touma saw Koneko speeding through the cabinets and putting the spoons in place before anyone did anything.

'Someone is hungry.' Touma chuckled silently but didn't say anything loud.

Soon, everyone gathered at the table waiting for food.

"Food is ready!" Touma said as he distributed the plates with omurice on them.

"They look amazing!" Asia praised and others nodded in agreement.

"For some reason, I am losing confidence as your mother in terms of cooking." Rika said with a fake cry as she ate the omurice.
Touma smiled and didn't say anything as he sat next to Rias. The atmosphere was lively which made their meals more enjoyable.

After the meal, Touma called his parents before they left.

"Mom, dad, I have something to tell you about."

"Yes?" They both looked at each other in confusion, while wondering what their son had to say.

"The truth is that…wait, showing you directly is a faster and easier way to explain than explaining in words." Touma said and grabbed a cup.

Under the curious gaze of his parents, Touma tossed the cup into the air. This action surprised them and out of human instinct, they jumped back and closed their eyes.

A second passed, two seconds passed and three seconds passed.

No matter how long they waited, the sound of glass breaking never reached their ears. Once they reopened their eyes, they saw the cup floating above what they could describe as a magic circle on the floor.

"Touma, this is…?"

"That's what I wanted to tell you." Touma caught the cup and dismissed the magic. "Magic is real and there is a supernatural side to the world. Dragons, gods, devils, angels and other mythical creatures are real and…"

Touma proceeded to explain the general knowledge of the supernatural world to his parents, giving more details about Japanese and Abrahamic pantheons, because they were more important at the moment.

"To think such beings walk among us…"

"Then…" Rika looked at Rias with a questioning gaze.

Rias obviously noticed the stare and smiled confidently.

"I am a high-class devil of Gremory pillar and they are part of my peerage." Rias said as she unfolded her devil wings and her peerage followed alongside her.

Her action took the parents by surprise and this sparked their curiosity as they started to ask even more questions.

"…But son, how did you discover all of this?" Rika asked curiously and concerned.

Almost immediately, everyone's attention was on him.

'Now that I think about it, Touma never said how he got to learn about the supernatural side of the world while coming from a normal background!' Rias thought as she listened attentively to his next words.

"It's hard for me to put it together into words, but if I had to describe it, it would be that…one day, I suddenly woke up with fragments of memories that weren't my own, knowledge that seemed foreign yet familiar to me."

"That could be…a Spirit Carrier if I am not mistaken." Rias said after a brief pause.

"What exactly is a Spirit Carrier? Is it harmful to my son?"

"There are some cases when the souls of ancient heroes are carried by beings and their influence on them usually manifests during their childhood, but that isn't an absolute fact."

"Basically reincarnation but not exactly that either." Akeno elaborated.

"Then which hero resides inside Touma?"

At that question, they looked at Touma, waiting for an answer.

Meanwhile, the young man in question was accelerating his thoughts to give an appropriate answer.

'Due to the gacha, I have to be careful with whose name I will say. And I already can foresee that feigning complete ignorance isn't the best choice here either, so I will…'

"Actually, I think there are two spirits possessing me." Touma said, which alerted them immediately. "The first one is Percival, one of the knights of the round table."

"The Holy Knight of the Dove?" Rias asked, to which Touma nodded. "That is…unusual I have to say. The previous Spirit Carriers had some relation with their hero, like nationality or a Sacred Gear, but you aren't British nor a Sacred Gear user."

"Maybe it's due to the second hero?" Akeno asked while tilting her head, but Touma shook his head.

"Unfortunately, I haven't digested enough information to decipher his identity, but I can confirm that that person was a famous wizard when he was alive."

'I could get away with Percival, but Julius isn't a historical figure that exists here, so I had to resort to this.' Touma thought.

"Maybe Merlin?" Akeno asked from the side, which made Touma sweatdrop as he was reminded of Merlin from the nasuverse, but thankfully it went unnoticed by everyone.

"That would explain the origin of his powerful time-magic!" Rias said excitedly.

"…Maybe." In the end, Touma didn't deny or agree with her.

Then Touma revealed his relationship with Rias to everyone, which wasn't really a surprise to everyone except for his parents, still everyone congratulated them.

…………

In ORC's room, an orange magic circle appeared on the floor and a blond girl with twin-tails appeared within it.

"Good morning miss Gremory and her peerage." Ravel greeted them politely and then turned towards the only human in the room. "Also good morning to you, lord Touma. My elder brother is…ready to receive you."

Aftermath (2) -- End Arc 1
In the Underworld, at the entrance of a luxurious mansion, flames surged from the ground and formed into a bright magic circle with Phoenix's crest in its center.

In an instant, two people appeared on top of the magic circle before it slowly faded away.

"Welcome to Phoenix Pillar's main building, lord Touma." Ravel said and opened the door of the mansion. "Now please have this before entering, it will allow you to pass through the barrier without any problems."

Touma looked at the token, it seemed to be made up of gold and precious ruby stones with Phoenix's crest engraved in the middle.

'I can literally hear the clan head screaming "I AM RICH!" from this object alone.' Touma thought and he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"Ravel." The young man called her while he slid the token inside his pocket. "You can just call me Touma, quit the formalities. Isn't it very tiring for you to speak formally all the time?"

Ravel paused briefly, thinking of a proper answer.

"…As the daughter of Phoenix, I am required to maintain this level of etiquette and formality while talking with my peers." Ravel said and walked towards the door. "But if you insist, I will call you just Touma when we are alone then."

"Please do so." Touma smiled, meanwhile, Ravel pushed the door open and both of them entered together.

As soon as he stepped in, Touma felt he just passed through a barrier.

'It isn't just one, there are several barriers activated simultaneously, probably with each having a different function.' Touma concluded after analyzing briefly.

The interior of the mansion and everything screamed ostentation. Paintings, ceramics and other fancy decorations were present in this mansion.

There were even sculptures of the clan heads made out of pure gold!

'Can't wait to milk his wallet dry.'

Ravel looked at him and could swear she just saw the most devilish smirk she had ever seen for a split second before his expression turned neutral.

'I must be imagining things.' Ravel thought and decided to ignore it.

"Here we arrived, my elder brother is waiting for you in this room." Ravel said and a maid who was stationed in front of the door opened it for them.

Upon entering the room, Touma saw a lone blond woman sitting on the couch.

'He' looked like a grown-up version of Ravel, with some areas more developed than hers.

"So Riser, how does it feel to be a woman?" Touma tried to provoke a reaction from 'him' as he sat across 'him'.

But contrary to his expectations, the once proud Phoenix clenched 'his' fists and 'his' arms were visibly shaking.

'Ah, did I perhaps hit the nail "too hard"? Not that I regret it though.'

"Please…just turn me back…" Riser pleaded, with 'his' voice trembling as 'he' looked directly at Touma.

Touma raised his eyebrows and saw dark circles under 'his' eyes and clear signs of stress and tiredness on the Phoenix.

"No." Riser tensed at his response.

"But you promised that you would turn back our king to normal!?" Shouted Riser as 'he panicked.

"Indeed, I did promise you that I would turn you back, BUT before I do that, don't you remember that you still owe me favors? In case you don't remember, I shall quote your words,

"If Rias wins, the Phoenix clan will grant you two requests as long as it doesn't put the clan in danger or tarnish our reputation", that sums up what you said when you visited the
Human World last time." Touma said as he looked directly into Riser's eyes. "Until you fulfil those requests, my end of the deal won't be fulfilled."

Needless to say that Phoenix's complexion hardened and 'his' body shivered at the thought. Riser gulped audibly and felt a severe headache.

"Then…what are your requests?" Riser asked with a sense of dread, intensified by the smirk on Touma's face.

The human raised his hand and a long list appeared within it. He put it on the table and pushed it towards Riser.

"This is the list of specific materials that I need for a certain project of mine. They need to be specifically from the mentioned region or else it won't cut it." Riser picked up the list as Touma explained.

'...tons of soil, stones, minerals, plants, water, …, from the ruins in the vicinity of Baghdad and Iraq…'

'This will cost around 30M-50M$ or even a bit more, but it won't cause much trouble for the Phoenix clan in the long run.' Riser thought and nodded. "Very well, it will be done."

"And of course, any disclosure of information related to our little…let's say exchange is forbidden. Or else don't expect me at your doorsteps, and it won't end with just a gender change."

Sweat poured down 'his' forehead, but he still nodded nonetheless.

"Finally, I would ask for an ancient artifact that once belonged to a hero in the past." Touma said, which confused most of them. "Your clan must have them, right? Given the longevity of your race, your ancestors must have lived alongside them and acquired some of their belongings."

"You're right, we have a collection of those items, whether they were acquired by ourselves or through purchases, but…why would you need them?" Asked Riser with some hesitation.

"You don't need to know." Touma said with an 'innocent' smile.

In the end, Riser agreed to his requests and finalized their deal with a written contract.

Only after that, Touma turned Riser back to a man and needless to say, the Phoenix let out tears of joy.

Then Touma was escorted by a maid to Phoenix's private collection to choose an artifact of his choice. Each item was displayed in golden glass cases with each having a protective barrier inside. Luckily, each item was properly identifiable and organized by Pantheons.

The young man strolled through the collection until a particular object caught his attention.

It was a shard from the handle of a sword if the description was correct. It had Greek origin but the owner was still unknown.

"Can I see this?"

"Yes." The maid said and used some type of magic key to open the container. Then she carefully removed the shard and put it in Touma's hand.

'This has a scaly texture…almost like a snake. Not only that, I can still feel the residue of mana!'

"I will be taking this." Said Touma as he handed it to her.

"Very well, I will inform Lord Riser." The maid wrapped it in white cloth and put it inside a container and gave it to Touma, who threw it inside his [Inventory].

'If my assumption is correct, then I might know to whom it once belonged to.'

Without making a fuss, Touma walked out of the mansion and teleported back to the Human world.

Once he was back at home, Touma put his hand in his pocket and felt something there.

'Ah, I might have forgotten to return it.'

A few days passed and there were some things that changed in their daily life, for example, Ravel's enrollment at Kuoh Academy and how she started to live in Touma's house.

Of course, Touma didn't just let her just live in his house without precaution even if she had given herself to him, so he made her sign a contract with him beforehand.

Rias didn't turn a blind eye and also moved into his house, with Akeno, Asia and Koneko (who went for the food) tagging alongside her.

And currently…

"Rias." Touma called his girlfriend, who hummed on his lap. "Which country in Europe do you think it's best to visit?"

"If I had to say, it would be England and Norway. I went there once and it was fun." Rias said and turned her head towards Touma. "Why do you ask?"

"Nothing, just asking out of curiosity." He said before kissing Rias on her lips.

Then Touma got up, which made Rias pout.

'Cute.' Touma thought. "Sorry, just going to the toilet."

"Want me to accompany you?"

"I wouldn't recommend so." He joked and Rias just made a "shoo shoo" gesture with her hand.

Inside the bathroom, Touma stood there and opened the HUD.

"Use world ticket, world destination: Campione."

Inner Demon
A gentle breeze glazed over Touma's face and the smell of ocean water entered his nostrils, causing him to open his eyes slowly.

'It seems like I was transported from my toilet to a beach.' Touma concluded as he got up and dusted off the sand.

The beach was filled with people having fun with their families and friends, everyone was spending their time leisurely.

Touma took out his phone but was immediately disappointed by the fact that he didn't have any signal there. So, he walked to the nearest passerby to gather information as it was the only possible and feasible choice.

"Excuse me."

"Yes?" The man said in Japanese and turned around. As soon he met Touma's glowing eyes, his vision turned hazy and his posture became more relaxed.

'It seems like I am still in Japan.' Thought Touma and proceeded to ask the hypnotized civilian. "I only want to ask a simple question, where are we?"

"We are in Odaiba Beach, in Tokyo."

"I see. And do you know where they sell prepaid SIM cards?"

"Yea, if you follow this way…"

The man proceeded to give instructions and Touma memorized them easily.

"Ok, thank you for the help. Now you'll forget what happened in the past 5 minutes." Touma said and dispelled the hypnosis.

"Huh? What was I doing?" The man asked himself confusedly before shrugging his shoulders and walking away.

Meanwhile, Touma had already left the scene and arrived at the metropolitan area of Tokyo.

Touma bought a SIM card without any problem as the currency was the same and the cashier wouldn't be able to distinguish that it was from another world.
"Now what should I do?" Touma felt a sense of freedom as he was going abroad alone for the first time.

'If I remember correctly, there is only one Heretic God here who is keeping others of his kind from descending in Japan, but he isn't that interesting. And I don't want to start a manhunt when I just arrived here, so…"

"Let's explore the city a little bit, it's been years since I have been in Tokyo."

Later that day, Touma booked a nice hotel room with the help of minor hypnosis. The room was very spacious for only one person, but he wasn't lacking money.

'England and Norway huh?' While thinking about what Rias said, a coin appeared in between Touma's fingers. "If it ends with head I will go to England and to Norway if it lands on tails."

Touma flicked the coin with his thumb, tossing it high into the air before it fell back on his hand.

"Tails." Touma muttered as he returned the coin to the [Inventory]. "Guess I will go to Norway tomorrow. But since I technically don't exist here, it would be a pain in the ass to mass hypnotize the whole crew as I don't have any valid identification documents on me, not to mention it would be quite boring as well…"

"Should I just fly over to Norway or try my luck in gacha?" Touma pondered. "You know what? I will just do both. If I don't get anything from Gacha, I will just fly."

Touma opened the HUD and opened the gacha window.

" Let's go with a 10 roll with Campione rate-up…which I doubt is real, unlike One Piece."

10 white spheres formed a circle and spun at incredible speed before slowing down and forming a straight line.

[Mumen Rider (OPM)]

[Heretical Ticket Bonus: Campione Special Edition (One-time use)]

[Power Boost Card]

[Essence of Blank (CYOA)]

[Kazuma Sato (Konosuba)]

[Gorgoneion (Campione)]

[Bartolomeo (OP)]

[Shisui Uchiha (Naruto)]

[Status Recovery (SL) (One-time use)]

[Power Boost Card]

"Holy cow, I just got an Essence!" Touma cried in excitement. For him, it was like getting a meta SSR.

'Furthermore, it is the Essence of Blank! It can remove the limits of my being and learn magics, skills or knowledge that I was unable to, which is perfect for someone like me!' Then without any hesitation, Touma claimed the Essence.

Touma didn't feel anything nor there were visible changes, but he didn't mind it. After cooling down a little bit, Touma looked at the rest of what he got.

[Heretical Ticket Bonus: Campione Special Edition]

[Allows you to usurp every Authority possessed by the Heretic God that you have slain. One-time use only.]

'This would be appreciated.' Touma thought as he looked at the characters he got. "Mumen Rider is a good guy, maybe I should summon him once my Garden is finished. Shisui basically gives perfect mind control. but with a long cooldown, Bartolomeo would be helpful in oncoming battles with his barriers and Kazuma…is Kazuma."

Opening his status tab, Touma put Shisui, Bartolomeo and Kazuma on [Character Assimilation], Masayuki was already completely assimilated while Julius was at 70%. Then he used [Weakness Removal Card] to get rid of Sea weakness and later he looked at the [Inventory], where there were several [Power Boost Cards] waiting to be used.

'I was gathering them for later use, but I shouldn't underestimate a god, even if they aren't at their full power.'

Heretic Gods can't descend with their full powers, so they had to manifest while focusing on certain aspects of their myths. Like how Athena had to descend focusing on her aspect as goddess of wisdom and death along with the Medusa aspect.

'Speaking for Athena, I just got her grimoire as they are called. I wonder if it is a copy or if I 'stole' it?' The answer came right away and Touma had indeed 'stolen' from the original owner. 'And I just made myself the target of a goddess.'

Now finally grabbing his [Power Boost Cards], Touma immediately upgraded the Julius card without hesitation.

'Earlier I was skeptical over upgrading Percival or Julius as they are my 'mains', but Time magic was just too versatile and powerful to let it slide, so the answer was obvious.'
As Touma consumed all his [Power Boost Cards] on Julius. Then he summoned his grimoire in its miniature form and a coverless book with countless pages started flipping on its own.

"There are no visual changes, but I am getting a different feeling about it, almost as if it was calling me." Touma muttered, but his instincts were warning him against something. Then a white humanoid figure appeared floating behind him with its arms above Touma's shoulders.

"Laplace, increase my odds of surviving and being victorious!" Touma commanded and his stand did as it was ordered. The young man raised his hand and touched the coverless grimoire. Then his consciousness immediately slipped away as he was brought to a different domain.

When Touma came to his senses, he was floating in a black pitch dimension that made it impossible to see anything.

As Touma was assessing his surroundings, a man appeared a few meters away from Touma.

'That is…!' Touma frowned as the man's figure became clearer and clearer as time lapsed.

"Julius Novachrono?" Touma muttered in astonishment.

"No, I am not exactly the man you label as Wizard King." The man replied and Touma finally noticed.

Instead of the blond hair that Julius had, this man had black hair accompanied by a pair of menacing red eyes like a demon and a dark-colored sun tattoo on the right side of his forehead.

Touma's expression hardened and opened his hand, ready to summon his holy spear.

"Who are you?"

"You may refer to me as Lucius Zogratis or Astaroth, at this point there is no difference between us, but regardless, my goal remains the same." Lucius wore a sinister smile as he raised his arm and pointed his index finger at Touma.

"I will take over your body and make humanity reach its 'true' form with me as their sole ruler."

Conquering the Inner Demon
Hearing the proclamation, Touma squinted his eyes and only thought of one thing.

'This guy is nuts.'

From the way Lucius portrayed himself and the aura that surrounded him, Touma could tell that Lucius was a lunatic and would make use of any sort of insane and incomprehensible means at his disposal to reach his goal, like sacrificing humanity to save humanity.

"Then how do you plan to achieve that?"

"Originally, I intended to wage a holy war against all of humanity and become the Great Magic Emperor, and I also had the desire to remake all humans over the world into perfect beings by using the powers of devils and the magic of my brethren." Lucius said without skipping a beat. "But then suddenly, we were brought to an unknown world and Julius was absorbed by you."

"Thanks to you, I've discovered a whole new world! A new humanity! waiting to be saved! Not only that, you granted me more power than even I could imagine to achieve my goal, so I have to thank you for that, Kamiya Touma!" He revealed a burst of devilish laughter.

'No, something isn't right.' Touma frowned but said nothing as he prepared himself for the incoming battle. 'He is definitely hiding something.'

"As a token of appreciation, after I take over your body, I will spare your life and let you witness the birth of new humanity."

"I will pass on that offer." Said Touma as the Spear of Longinus appeared in his hand. "I have no plans to lose to 'anyone'."

"So you are against Judgment Day? Well, not that it will change anything." Lucius held out his hand and a black magic circle appeared. "I will crush you right here then."

"[Gravity Magic: Presence of Demon King]."

The area around Lucius immediately had an exponential surge in gravitational pull, including where Touma was standing.

Without wasting time, Touma activated the [Crest of Stars] and jumped away while swiftly creating an arc with the holy spear mid-air, sending beams of pure Holy Power at Lucius.

Seeing the incoming attack, Lucius accelerated his own time and successfully evaded all the beams, but he felt a sense of discomfort just by being near them.

'What is that spear? My instincts are screaming to me, Flee!' Lucius thought as he prepared his next spells. 'Maybe he is like that anti-magic boy, a flaw and a nuisance that shall be exterminated.'

"[Blood Magic: Pack of Red Beasts]!"

A pool of blood formed under Lucius' feet which took the shape of wolves before they all launched on Touma.

Seeing the beasts coming for him, Touma didn't even falter an inch and launched in the pack's direction.

"[Mana Zone: Chronostasis Grigora]!"

In an instant, all the blood beasts were trapped in a blue sphere where time was at halt.

But Touma didn't stop there, he kept feeding his noble phantasm with mana, allowing him to partially release it without having to reveal its true name furthermore he deployed his Time magic to accelerate all his attacks and his movements.

Normally, Lucius would be able to easily dodge them using Time magic, but...

Normally that is…

"Guhaah!" Lucius was shocked as he coughed blood after receiving the full force of the attack. 'How is that possible!? I am sure I dodged it, then why am I still injured!'

Lucius was bleeding from the wound in his chest and further to his shock, the usage of time magic did heal the wound but the stinging and excruciating pain was still there.

Unknown to that devil, the cause of Lucius's injuries was none other than Touma, or to be more precise, Touma's stand, 'Laplace'. By altering the probabilities themselves, Lucius'
reaction speed was reduced by an entire second, which was long enough for the attack to land on the devil.
'By his expression of pain and shock, it seems holy weapons are still effective against him, even if they don't exist in his world.' Touma thought and twirled his fist. "What happened, oh Messiah of Humanity? Out of energy already? And here I thought you would be more than that."

Touma's provocation worked as a vein popped in Lucius' forehead, as he lost the menacing smile from earlier.

"Don't think your provocation will make me lose composure, Kamiya Touma." Said Lucius, who raised his hand and his grimoire started flipping its pages on its own. "I, who already achieved the true state of humans, won't be defeated by a mere human who didn't even enter adulthood."

"[Union Magic: Eternal Fangs of Evil God]!"

Using a combination of Time, Gravity and Bone magic, Lucius summoned several enormous fangs, each having an increased gravitational field around them, which increased their weight and their time was accelerated, making them a deadly spell against regular foes.

However, Touma was 'built different'.

Touma crossed his fingers and a transparent green barrier appeared around Touma.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The fangs exploded upon impact with the barrier, causing it to tremble but there were no visible signs of breaking.

Lucius frowned as he looked at Touma who wasn't taking any real damage.

'As long as he has that spear, I will be in a disadvantageous position.' Lucius thought and with a wave of his arm, the devil used a combination of Body, Blood and Bone magic to create several clones who surrounded Touma.

'All I need to do is to touch him only once and make him lose that spear for this to be over!'

Half of the clones charged forward while the other half stayed behind and fired spells at Touma.

In response to the assault, Touma raised the holy spear upwards.

"Longinus." Having called the name of his weapon, a burst of Holy Power came out from the spear and killed the nearby clones. Then Touma opened [Inventory] and took out a short sword that almost looked like a dagger.

"Sacred treasure activate." Touma activated the power of Lostvayne and five clones of himself appeared behind him, each holding the Longinus' spear in one hand and Lostvayne in the other.

Each Touma pointed his spear in a random direction and used Laplace to raise the probability to hit the original Lucius.

Lucius sensed something wrong and poured all his mana into a single spell.

"""""[Gravity Magic: Gravity Singularity]!"""""

Each Lucius clone along with the original created a small black hole and fired it at Touma.

Meanwhile, each Longinus spear was already glowing intensively and seemed to illuminate the dark realm with golden light. Touma remained unfazed, looking at the imminent deadly spells and muttered.

""""""Sacred Spear, releasing two layered restraints. Countdown…""""""

""""""[Longinus Count Zero].""""""

Touma unleashed the complete power of the sacred spear without holding back, shooting rays of Holy Power that collided with miniature black holes.

*Cough* *Cough*

Lucius spit out the blood from his throat and his body was full of deadly injuries that could kill any normal person.

'I am out of mana.' Lucius thought as he coughed again. "Recovery is impossible and injuries are too severe…Is this the way I am going to die?'

The devil heard footsteps and tilted his head to see Touma approaching him who had his clothes soaked with blood but had no visible injuries.

"Why did you not try to take my body earlier? I am sure you had opportunities earlier." Touma finally asked the question that had been puzzling him since earlier.

"It's not that I didn't, but I couldn't. You had some kind of protection that prevented me from taking your body, but then whatever method you used to strengthen the grimoire allowed me to have the power to breach that defense." Lucius explained and let out a dry chuckle.

'Protection? Is it because of the [Protection of the Holy Grail] skill from Percival's card?' This was the only thing Touma could think of at the spot.

Then without uttering a word, Touma pointed Longinus Spear at Lucius and his injuries started closing up and healing.

Seeing this, Lucius widened his eyes in shock.

'After all of this, why is he healing me? I feel no pity in his eyes nor remorse, then why…?' Lucius thought before bursting out laughing.

"Hahahaha! Don't tell me, are you the type of person who refuses to kill the enemy?" Lucius mocked and coughed amidst laughing.

"Don't misunderstand." Said Touma who frowned as he retrieved the spear. "I'm not healing you out of guilt or any lame excuse, it's just that you are too useful to die yet."
Then Lucius saw Touma's eyes changing from silver to red color with a black four-point pinwheel.

"Kotoamatsukami." Touma casted the special genjutsu of his Mangekyō Sharingan on Lucius, who was unable to resist or counter.

Lucius' eyes turned emotionless and chains sprouted from the ground and pinned him down by the neck.

"Now submit and obey me, Lucius Zogratis." Touma commanded and Lucius nodded without saying a word.

The chains disappeared but left a mark of obedience on Lucius' neck.

Then without any warning, the dark realm started breaking down and was replaced by the scenery of his hotel room, but this time Touma wasn't alone.

In the room, there were several people, who have high levels of mana compared to normal civilians, looking at Touma with widened eyes and were armed with magic swords and guns, ready for battle.

"Halt this instant, Mage!" One of them shouted. "What do you plan to do by using that grimoire in the middle of the city!?"

And this was the first meeting between Touma and the History Compilation Committee.

Magic Police
Amidst the tense atmosphere, Touma looked at the agents with a calm gaze and then at his grimoire, which the latter made him raise an eyebrow.

'It changed.'

The grimoire that was floating there wasn't coverless anymore, it had a blue cover with a clock in the middle and instead of clock hands, it was a dark five-leaf clover.

'Not only that, now I can feel a deeper connection and much more, but I will need to test it later.'

"Hey! Are you listening?" Screamed an agent after noticing that Touma was ignoring them. "Stop whatever you are doing or else we are going to use force!"

'Or I can test it now, I think I've gathered enough mana to do it.'

Touma looked unfazed by the threat of the agent, instead, the grimoire hovered in front of him.

Alerted by the sudden movement, the agents immediately entered in action. Those with swords charged forward while the ones who stayed behind pressed the trigger and fired at Touma.

Unfortunately for them, it was all useless against the power of time.

The bullets were suspended mid-air while the agents were stuck in the same position, unaware of their own situation.

"This feels more natural, if it even makes sense." Touma muttered to himself. For him, if casting spells was like entering a stance in a martial art before, now it feels like just moving your arm, a completely instinctive action. 'So this is the power of [Power Boost Card] huh.'

Touma inspected his grimoire, choosing to ignore the agents for now.

"Aside from Time magic, there is the addition of Gravity, Soul, Body, Bone and Blood magics. Everything that Lucius used in the battle is now mine too." Touma concluded and felt a connection to Lucius' soul inside the grimoire. "And there is also [Unite] or [Devil Assimilation], if the information is right, then it can be very powerful if I play my cards right."

"Now, let's see who these belong to." Said Touma as he walked towards who he presumed to be the leader.

First Touma removed any weapon the agent might have, then he checked the man's wallet.

"Ryu Asuhi, was born in October 1984 and has 2 kids. Also quite rich too, I mean, who carries 100k yen in his pockets?" Needless to say, Touma took the money and tripped the man to the ground before proceeding to rob all their money.

When he was about to unfreeze the man, Touma suddenly remembered the state he was in, wearing torn dirty clothes soaked in blood.

'This can't do.'

In an instant inside the frozen time, the clothes were reverted to the original look, clean of any blood or holes.

Touma nodded to himself and sat on the chair before unfreezing the man.

"Huh?" The man muttered in confusion before planting his face on the floor.

"No matter what your fetish is, there is a place and time for those kinds of activities, old man. I may be stepping outside my boundaries, but making out with the floor in front of a high schooler is inappropriate." Touma mocked him.

Hearing a voice in front of him, the man immediately got up and jumped back, instinctively reaching for his side to grab the sword, but he felt nothing.

"'Missing something, Asahi Ryu?" Touma asked as he waved Ryu's sword.

"Bastard, how do you know my name?" Ryu asked as he turned around. "What are you guys doing, restrain him—!"

The agent widened his eyes when he saw them motionless and the bullets stuck in the air.

"Don't worry, if you answer all my questions with no falsehoods, nothing will happen and everybody will go home." Said Touma as he gave a few swings with the sword. "And forget reaching to your sleeve or ankle, I already took your assassin toys."

Ryu panickaly patted his arms and legs and it was as Touma had said, he felt nothing there. Sweat poured down his forehead as he raised his hands.

"Alright, I will answer your questions, but before that may I know your name sir?" Asked Ryu politely to avoid angering the youth while also trying to assess the situation and how to come out alive.

"I don't remember giving you permission to ask though." Touma said with a 'smile', making Ryu swallow his saliva in nervousness, but as he was about to apologize, Touma cut him off.

"I'm just kidding, it would be awkward if we didn't know each other's name." Touma laughed, which irritated Ryu a little, but he quickly calmed himself and didn't let it show in his face.

'This brat…!'

"My name is Kamiya Touma, make sure to remember it."

'Kamiya Touma, I never heard of someone with that name nor a notorious Kamiya family, so the chance of him being an offspring from one of the branches of the four ancient families is rather low. And of course, there is a chance it isn't even his real name.'

"T-Then Kamiya-dono, what do you wish to ask?"

"For starters, which organisation do you belong to?"

"We belong to the History Compilation Committee, Kamiya-dono."

"Is it like a magical police or something?" Touma asked genuinely, beside god slaying humans and heretic gods, he didn't remember much about this world.
"Y-Yeah, you could say so…" Ryu had his eyebrows twitching in annoyance as he controlled himself from doing anything harsh.

"Then what I want to ask next is why did you come here?"

"We spotted an unusual amount of mana gathered in this room, so we were tasked to investigate the cause and stop it if possible."

'It must be when I was brought to Lucius' dimension, the grimoire was still here and was the source of mana.'

"Jeez, that explains why you guys were so tense. You need to relax more or you will go bald without even knowing." Touma's nonchalant response made Ryu even more annoyed as he gritted his teeth.

'It is because of you bastard! Who wouldn't when a guy shows up out of nowhere in front of them soaked in blood!?'

"Then my last question, where is the direction to Norway?"

"…"
"What? Is there something on my face?"

"Leader, are you alright? What happened here?" One of the agents asked, seeing Ryu looking outside the broken glass of the hotel room with a solemn expression.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." Ryu replied and then gazed in the corner of his eyes at the chair where Touma was sitting previously.

"Shouko."

Hearing their leader calling for her, she turned her head towards him.

"We have to report to the higher-ups, there is a monster heading towards Norway."

'And that bastard took all my money! No matter how, I will make him pay one day!' Ryu thought as a vein popped out of his forehead.

"Leader, my money suddenly disappeared!"

"Mine too!"

"Same here!"

"…Shit." Ryu cursed that youth again.

Meanwhile, Touma was flying high in the sky at high speed, he could've gone with even higher speed, but he decided to enjoy the scenery.

"Acting like a bad guy is quite fun in its own way." Touma chuckled as he recalled the time when he was bullying Riser.

'I am sure he already reported to his superiors about me and it would be a problem if other organizations started looking for me in their free time.'

Then his body glowed for a second and revealed Touma with a totally different appearance.

Touma looked like an average teenager, with brown hair and green eyes.

That's right, Touma was now using Kazuma's appearance as a temporary disguise.

'Next destination: Norway!'

At some mountain peaks in Norway, the tourists and locals were enjoying their day skiing or skateboarding on the snow, before the ground started suddenly shaking, making " people fall on the snow and causing avalanches.

In their panic, they didn't notice a hole in the clouds and a tray of a rainbow beams slowly disappearing into nothingness.

A few mountains away from them, a single figure walked through the snow without difficulty and a pair of ravens flying near him.

It was an old man wearing fancy clothing with gold armaments and an eye-catching eyepatch covering his right eye.

In his hand was the old man's most trustable weapon, a 'simple' wooden cane,

"I shall wait for you here, you who holds the knowledge of the unknown."

Who? Princess?
Italy, Rome

The sun has risen and a new day has begun.

Above the clouds, there was a lone mage flying through the sky at a speed faster than a commercial plane.

*Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!*

The phone in his pocket vibrated as it let out a continuous yet annoying noise.

"Oh, it's break time." Touma took it out to close the timer for a second before he halted in the air and rapidly descended to the ground.

He used a simple illusion spell to turn himself invisible from ordinary people and rapidly decreased altitude until a city came into his view.

Touma landed on the ground and looked at the signs and the language the pedestrians were speaking.

'It seems I am in Italy or Rome to be exact.' Touma thought as he walked in a random direction, deciding to take a stroll while recuperating mana.

He stopped at a coffee shop for a simple breakfast, but then his ears perked up from the news on TV.

"...At 2:34 pm in Oslo, an unexpected earthquake hit the mountains, causing casualties on both tourists and locals alike…"
Touma raised an eyebrow at the TV as he grabbed his food and took a seat.

'Coincidence? A disaster struck the place I was about to visit.' Thought Touma, then he created an illusion barrier around himself so as not to be disturbed, and called up his Grimoire. 'A little peek into the future shouldn't hurt anyone.'

But just as he was about to cast a spell, he felt mana gather in front of him and slowly the figure of a young woman appeared on the seat opposite Touma.

"Good morning, mister mage." She greeted him cheerfully. "I am Alice Louise, a Hime-Miko from Witenagemot and I would need your help in one matter."

'It doesn't look like she has any ill intentions towards me, but I can tell she's someone important, maybe because she's a Hime-Miko? At times like I hate the lack of information!' Touma clicked his tongue as he looked into her green eyes before resuming his meal.

Alice obviously noticed it, but chose to ignore it and proceeded to talk.

"I am really surprised, you know? I am known as the strongest witch in the heavens, but I have never seen anyone with so much magical power who isn't a Campione! Wait, maybe you actually are one and have a concealment authority?" Alice asked jokingly.
"No, I am not (yet). I am just a mage without any affiliation." Said Touma as he finished the last bite. "Besides, what does the strongest witch need my help for?"

"This." Alice pointed her finger at the TV, which showed pictures of the disaster in Oslo. "That was the result of a Heretic God descending into our realm."

Touma's eyes widened in surprise, but then he raised an eyebrow at Alice.

"So you are asking me to kill the Heretic God?"

"No, no. You misunderstand me." Alice quickly denied it while raising both hands. "I would never ask anyone to take on a suicidal task, it would damage my reputation as the strongest witch! My only request is that you help us keep the casualties to a minimum."

"And what about the Heretic God?"

"We will…buy time until one of the Campiones arrives." Alice clenched the tip of her dress in frustration. "Even with my power, it is close to impossible against their authorities."

The atmosphere changed as her previous cheeriness was replaced by serious and frustrated expressions.

"...Close to impossible you say?" Touma chuckled as certain memories flashed in his mind.

"Huh?"

"Listen, even if the chances are close to zero, it will never be zero! So there is always a probability of winning!"

'I can assure you as a veteran gacha player that I am speaking the truth!'

His statement took Alice aback and didn't know how to respond for a few seconds.

"But that's–"

"Straight-up suicide? You're goddamn right!" Touma laughed as he spread his arms open. "But isn't this how they become Campione? Whether by their skills or pure luck, those foolish humans gambled their lives and challenged the Heretic Gods just to emerge victorious in the end!"

At this moment, Touma's Unique Skill [Chosen One] had activated automatically, and with his charisma and luck boosted, Alice had her attention focused completely on him and was listening closely without even noticing.

"That's so…foolish." Alice said after a brief pause.

"I am aware."

"Now I don't know whether you are cheering me up or telling me to kill a Heretic God." Alice sighed, but there was a smile on her face.

"Anyway, I will do it. I will help you out, but I will expect a payment for that."

"I know, I will make sure that you will be rewarded according to your efforts."

"Good." Touma nodded and got up from his seat. "So when do we start?"

Alice smiled.

"Right now."

"So what is your name?" Alice asked as they both walked down streets side by side.

"I'm Kami–Sato Kazuma." Touma lied with a straight face, but with Alice's incredible observation skills, it didn't go unnoticed.

"Did you just correct yourself in the middle of a sentence?"
"No."

"Then is Sato Kazuma your real name?"

"No, it isn't."

"Riiight…" Alice rolled her eyes. "But what can you do? I know you are powerful, but I want to know what you're capable of."

"I don't want to say too much, but I am quite confident in my skills whether in battle or support roles, but I would prefer the first scenario."

"And what makes you so confident?"

"You will see it soon." Touma said mysteriously to annoy her, which Alice knew and pouted. "By the way, where are we going?"

"To the meeting place between Copper-Black Cross and Bronze-Black Cross organizations. They are responsible for the magical side of the world so they will discuss how to handle the situation." Alice explained.

"Like the History Compilation Committee?" Asked Touma as he recalled an earlier encounter.

"Yes, they operate similarly but they are fundamentally different." Alice said and halted her steps. "Here, we arrived."

They stopped at the entrance of a luxurious five-star hotel, with many people circulating in and out.

The duo entered the main building and Touma was about to head to the receptionist, but he was stopped by Alice.

"There is no need to do that, we can just head directly to the meeting room. They wouldn't notify the civilians about their super secret meeting." Alice laughed as she guided Touma to the room.

They passed through guests and staff members until they reached a room at the end of the corridor.

"Now push mana into the doorknob and tilt it to the left." Alice instructed while pointing her finger at it.

Then Touma reached his hand to the doorknob and pushed mana into it before tilting it as he was instructed to do.

Suddenly, the door started moving upwards on its own and revealed a secret passage that led to the underground.

"Well, that's interesting." Touma commented and entered with Alice following behind.

The secret passage walls weren't made of cobblestone or illuminated by torches like they were portrayed in movies. It had an expensive red carpet on the floor, and paintings hanging on marble walls among other luxurious decorations.

The duo silently walked in the hallway until they met the security guards who were guarding the door.

They entered a fighting stance once they saw Touma, but stopped themselves upon recognizing Alice.

"Good morning, Princess Alice and her guest. They are inside." The guard said as he opened the doors for them.

'Wait, Alice is a princess?' Touma looked at her in surprise, but Alice stuck her tongue out. 'This little…'

They walked past the doors and saw a massive room with two long tables facing each other on opposite sides, indicating the two rival Mage organizations.

When the duo came into view, the assembly paused and turned their attention to them.

"Good morning, Princess Alice." An old man suddenly rose from his seat and walked towards them before bowing slightly. "Your Excellency has arrived at just the right moment, we were just about to discuss our plans on how to deal with the Heretic God."

Only when the old man finished speaking, did he notice that there was a young man next to Alice, looking at them with a neutral expression.

"And who might this gentleman be?"

"This is a mage I personally recruited for this operation, his name is Sato–"

"My name is Honjou Masayuki, it is a pleasure to meet you all, mages of the Copper- Black Cross and Bronze- Black Cross." Touma cut in and introduced himself while bowing slightly, hiding the grin that threatened to erupt into hysterical laughter.
