I've encountered this issue a few times now across different threads and I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it.
The gist is that sometimes, seemingly at random, the forums will take a spoiler box that only contains one {spoiler}{/spoiler} block and turn it into two, with the first block containing one or two sentences and the second containing the rest of the text. This can happen to some but not all spoiler blocks within the same post. As an example (let's see if I can get it to reproduce here...):
This spoiler block is made with a single set of spoiler tags. It even shows up that way in the edit box, both WYSIWYG and the raw forums code version. Yet it comes out as two blocks in the preview and actual post. Meanwhile, this one...
... despite being pretty much the same length and composition, displays in one box as intended.

[] [Zayd Action] Train with the militia (1 Effort)
It can hardly be a bad thing to be able to defend yourself. Besides, picking up a spear and sweating with the others shows that you're still human, just like them, and that you're willing to defend Abundant Hope yourself if it comes down to it.
This will improve Zayd's Combat and Stamina and may also improve other related skills.
[] [Zayd Action] Compile an encyclopedia of the new world (1 Effort)
You were trained by the Golden Scholar, and you know this is something he would urge you to do. This is a new land, with animals, plants, and minerals that no human has ever seen. Think of the possibilities! Nor is this a flight of fancy—it's valuable to all of humanity to know which plants are poisonous, where predators live, or when and how high the rivers flood.
This will improve Zayd's Observation and Scholarship and may also improve other related skills. Thanks to Zayd's history with Jamal Almari the Golden Scholar, it may also reduce his Stress.
[] [Zayd Action] Hold court among the people (1 Effort)
As the novelty of this new world fades into routine, peoples' tempers start to flare. Arguments and disputes are inevitable. By allowing them to petition you, you give them an opportunity to state their case to a neutral third party, and, hopefully, resolve conflicts before they go beyond harsh words.
This will improve Zayd's Persuasion and Legal Knowledge and may also improve other related skills.

These actions are available due to Zayd's Fateweaver trait.
[] [Zayd Action] Gather the threads of Fate (1 Effort)
Thanks to the arcane mysteries of Destiny's Hand, you can both see and manipulate the strands of Fate, which appear as glimmering golden threads. Whether these are truly the manifestation of destiny or merely the Hand's magic at work, you don't know. However, you've already seen enough to be confident in the artifact's power.
Zayd gains 1 additional point of Fate.
[] [Zayd Action] Experiment with Destiny's Hand (1 Effort, 1 Fate)
You're certain that you've only barely scratched the surface of what Destiny's Hand is capable of. An example is how you wound up as Abundant Hope's nominal ruler—you only intended to nudge the Last Cities' leaders into coming to some sort of agreement, yet here you are. Mastering this strange and mysterious artifact will require time and experimentation.
You will expend 1 Fate whenever you take this action. Depending on how things go, you may or may not receive a direct benefit, but you will at a minimum know what not to do next time (improving future instances of this action).
Zayd currently has 2 points of Fate available.
[] [Zayd Action] Influence someone's Fate… (effortless)
The chosen character's destiny will become more closely tied to you, and you will gain a degree of influence over their fate. This doesn't necessarily make a character like you any more or less, just pull them more tightly into your orbit for good or ill. By default, 1 point of Zayd's gathered Fate will be transferred to the chosen character. More can be spent if desired—please specify.
Zayd currently has 2 points of Fate available.
