In the age of augmentations, people are accustomed to life with steel. Where technology rules over everything, even your own body. So when a pod landed on Earth, the belief of biological limitations was quickly shattered when a boy from the sticks was able to overpower augmented soldiers without augmentations. A piece that can decimate all in the board. His name is Son Goku.

The Gift from Beyond the Stars

'This...is what I get.'

That's what he thought as he made his limps his way towards his destination. Blood drips from his leg, his face bloodied and his eye injured. Yet even with his state, he still was able to smile. For what, no one would know. Only he does.

'We'll be living a life you've always wanted, Shuri.'

Not too long after, he stumbled down. Slowly, he lifts his face as he reaches his hand out.

'We'll finally be escaping that life...but...but...!'

Tears started to fill his eyes as he gritted his teeth, anger was visible on his face.

'How can I do this without you!?'

His hand that was reaching out clenches sending small shockwaves all around, blood crawls out.

'Those bastards...those bastards!'

Not too long after, he slowly succumbed to his injuries and began to lose consciousness.

'You...never wanted me to take revenge...but what should I do now...?'

As his sight blurred, as his eyes closed, in the distance he saw a familiar figure of a young woman he knew. It wasn't his beloved, but it was someone he still holds dear. With the remaining willpower, he holds onto his consciousness. Life returns to his eyes as he realizes there are still more things to his life than a vendetta.

'Right...I still have you.'

"Nii-san!"

That was what he heard before he finally fell unconscious.

Five years later...

Yuuto blinks into reality, sighing after. His eyes landed on his right hand, now replaced by an enhanced prosthetic hand. His whole right arm was lost due to an incident a few years ago and replaced with a new arm constructed by his younger sister. Yuuto clenches his fist multiple times, moves his fingers and turns it to the other side, admiring his younger sister's marvelous craft. Then he looks at his leg which was also replaced with a prosthetic...also made by his younger sister. He leans his back on the chair rest, turning his head to the window and watching the sky.

"Nii-san?" His younger sister called as she had just come back from work, "Are you okay?"

He turned towards her and gave her a smile, "Never had been better." He stood up and went towards the kitchen, "I made you dinner, Yumi."

The now named Yumi blinks in surprise, "O-Oh, you don't have to..." Her tone had guilt in it.

Her older brother shook his head, "No, it's the least I could do after all the years you've taken care of me."

Yumi smiled weakly, "That again? Come on, nii-san. That's already a long time ago." She said, her expression had a downcast look to it. "We've already moved on from that..." Yumi ended as she rubbed her left arm, a display of guilt and sadness from the eyes of a veteran.

With his prosthetic right arm, he pats his sister on her head. "Hey, I know." He assures, she lifts her head up to see him smiling. "I just...feel really guilty, you know? I'm resting here while you work hard out there, it just doesn't sit well with me."

"I see..." She looks to the side, seemingly pondering about something for a brief moment before she turns and smiles. "Then, should we have dinner together?"

He nods with a pleasant and satisfied smile. "Of course, I was waiting for you."

Together, they had dinner together and occasionally talked about their day. It was just siblings enjoying their company in peace.

After dinner, Yuuto sat in the living room whilst Yumi was getting something from the workshop. He moved his hands again, it didn't feel right. Before he could comment on it, Yumi came in with a toolbox in her hand.

"Yeah, I don't know much about these kinds of things." Yuuto said, Yumi uses her tool to recalibrate Yuuto's prosthetics. "It never felt right no matter how, my limbs back then were just too ingrained in my life." He played off playfully with a smile.

"Nii-san..." She looks at him, looking guilty.

"Oh, no. I was just joking, no need to look at me like that." Yuuto shook his head and used his other hand to pat her head. "Hey, like I said. It wasn't your fault."

Yumi let out a single tear before she enveloped his figure with her arms, catching him off guard. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." She apologizes repeatedly as she blows her heart out. "All of this wouldn't happen...if it wasn't for me...! I, I, I-I...I-!"

"Yumi, it's not your fault." Her older brother quickly stopped her from diving into her guilt and self-hatred by returning her embrace, causing her to halt her breath. "Yumi, don't be too hard on yourself." Softly and gently, he stroked her hair. "It wasn't your fault, trust me. I know. You're not one to blame." He reassured her, Yumi began to slowly sob. "If anything, all of this happened because of them but we're better than that. We have already moved on, haven't we?" She nods, "That's right, all that's left for us now is to live away from all of that. Far, far away..."

He smiled, remembering the smile of his beloved. As time passes, his anger for what they did fades. Now, he lives to find redemption and his first step is to fix his relationship with his younger sister.

It was...disheartening, seeing her still hurt for what had happened in the past. He already knew it of course, the way she looks at his prosthetic arm and leg, how she overworks herself, how she tries her hardest for him, he had already seen it and he...didn't want it. He wants his younger sister to be happy as well, not this.

"Yumi, I want you to move on from all of this." He said softly, "I want you to live a perfect life with a wonderful husband, wonderful kids, wonderful family in a wonderful house. I want you to live a life I could never achieve...I want you to be happy."

That was the last straw, she cried out as much as she could under the embrace of her older brother.

Yuuto let Yumi cry to her sleep before bringing her to her bed, letting her sleep.

He went out the balcony and took out a cigarette. He lit it up with his prosthetic and inhaled from the buds, feeling the heat and spice enter his throat. He huffs out as he rests his hands on the railings, overlooking lights which came from a city faraway over the distance.

He could see blimps and projectors flying in the air which all projected holographic advertising screens as well as beacons of lights. Most of the products they advertised came from a corrupted corporation Yuuto knows too well. And he guessed they were still at work.

It was a good choice to stay out in the mountains. Here out in the wilderness, it was much more...bearable, the life in the city was hellish thanks to the consistent high crime rate, not a good place to live with Yumi.

With the current technology, people can upgrade their augmentations or replace any part of their bodies to achieve heightened capabilities, be it physical or mental. It was no wonder why a certain acquaintance was so upset with it. Thankfully, with his money saved up and Yumi's investments in a company, they could live in the mountains without problems.

He huffs out smoke, eyes narrowed.

It wasn't all happy though...

Despite what he said to her, about having a wonderful husband and kids, Yumi lost her fertility. It was a long time ago, when they were just children used in various experiments. While Yuuto was tested for physical labors, Yumi was tested for augments. Thanks to those heartless bastards, Yumi cannot conceive a child...

"What a cruel joke." He started, scoffing as he flicked the cigarette off the balcony. "Yumi...the blame should fall onto me..."

Despite all that, Yumi still puts his needs over hers. Feeling all guilty about the things he experienced and lost when he didn't do anything during the many times she was in trouble during their experimentations. He could've pulled the katana from its scabbard and killed the bastards right then and there but he didn't do it.

Because he was too scared of the repercussions.

Thinking about it now, it was a needless concern. The corporation at the time was at its lowest and if he should so please to, he would've eviscerated the bastards and burned the accursed lab into the ground. But they've grown powerful as times go by, so powerful even him at his peak wasn't able to destroy them and it cost him his leg and his arm. As well as...a certain someone.

Yuuto shook his head. "No good, I'm regretting it again..." He heaved a sigh and smiled. "Seems like we're siblings alright..."

He put out the cigarette and threw it on the tray. His eyes trailed in the night skies which were clear of any clouds. The glitters of light littering across the vast empty space. It wasn't like in the city, buildings blocked the view and most people wouldn't know much how the skies looked, especially the poor kids that were trapped in the city. Now he was able to witness its beauty.

Smiling, he sits down on a chair and lets out a relieved sigh. "Yeah...things are going to get better now..."

He closed his eyes, relaxing his whole body as he leaned his back on the rest. As he feels his consciousness slowly fading, a strange sound emitted followed by his blackened vision becomes highlighted red. He immediately opened his eyes only to see a star-no, a meteor?

"What the-!?"

He jolted awake as his eyes widened to see the meteor was heading towards him however that wasn't the case. The meteor passed through the house and landed somewhere deep in the mountains behind their abode. It wasn't until he felt tremors that he confirmed what he just saw was real. And the tremor was strong enough to even wake his younger sister up.

"Nii-san!? Nii-san! Where are yo-" She slammed the door to the balcony open and once her eyes landed on him, her expression of intense worry was quickly replaced with relief. "Oh, thank goodness. I...I-I thought..."

He smiles assuredly, "I'm here, Yumi. And I'm perfectly fine as you can see." Then he frowned. "We have a problem."

Yumi blinked, confused. "Nii-san, what was...?"

"A meteor just fell..." Yuuto replied, he too was confused. "Doesn't seem like an attack from them."

Yumi's interest grew. "A meteor?" And there it is, Yumi's scientist and technician side. "We should check it out."

Yumi, after the experiments conducted on her, had become more interested in inventing machines and whatnot. Most prominently vehicles which she had quite a bit of them in stock down in the garage. She scavenged for parts in the wastelands and managed to construct vehicles that although does not seem impressive design-wise, it sure can rival the fastest of sports cars.

He stood up. "Then we'll go together."

"Of course." Yumi nodded. "But we have to be careful with what we find, the Kiyotaka might've detected that."

Yuuto sighs. "Yeah, those damn corpos." He shook his head and immediately headed inside to prepare his equipment. "Get your things."

After getting the bare necessities, the two siblings traveled into the mountains, scaling cliffs and arrived at a bamboo forest. There, they encountered a few wild animals but Yuuto's revolver managed to scare them off. With Yuuto's machete, he cut through the dense bamboo forest and they came upon a clearing where a crater can be seen, along the bamboo bended by the center of impact.

In the middle of the crater sits an unnatural white spherical object.

It was a perfect circle which, by scientific assessment, does not make sense.

No meteors that landed on Earth are of perfect spheres.

"Nii-san..." Yumi called out worriedly.

"I know..." Yuuto replied while taking out his revolver, reticle aimed at the spherical object. "Must be some air crafts from a satellite...these damn corpos, I swear."

They both slowly approached the object, their eyes glued on it before they circled to see its whole shape. Just then, they noticed that it had a windshield on it, one that was colored maroon. Just then, the siblings heard cries.

Cries of a baby.

Almost out of instinct, Yumi marched forward.

"Wait, Yumi!" He reaches out but she was already ahead, checking out the spherical object.

As she neared, it opened up as cold smokes erupted out of it. Too baffled, Yuuto didn't realize that Yumi closed in and looked inside. His eyes widened but before he could warn her yet again, he noticed something that made words stuck in his throat. Tears, tears dropped down from the corner of her eyes.

"Y-Yumi…?" He called out.

"Nii-san…." She turned around as she carried something in her arms. "Look…"

The cries were what he thought it was; it came from a baby no older than a year. In her arms, the baby continued to cry. The baby had a peculiar appearance, for what seemed to be newborn, his hair already grew out unnaturally. The shock look on his face couldn't be missed as he looked at the clearly empathetic and loving look on Yumi's face as she stared at the baby cradling in her arms.

"Yumi…" Yuuto mutters as he notices another strange thing with the baby. "That baby…is not human." He points out.

Dangling below was a tail reminiscent of a monkey. The strangeness of the baby was off putting yet…he couldn't do anything with how Yumi looked at the child. Even with his own observation laid bare to her, she doesn't seem bothered.

"Nii-san…" She called softly. "Do you remember what they said to us at the lab?"

"..." Energy left his hand as he dropped it down weakly, those memories of course were still fresh in his mind more so with his younger sister. "Yes…"

"They said that we were special, and that we need to be kept out of the world's eyes…" Yumi said, tears were still streaming down. "And they did as they pleased to us…those cruel things." She stared at Yuuto in the eyes, it was filled with determination which was rare for him to see. "The life we wanted…I want to give it to this child. If we hand him to the authorities, no doubt he will suffer the same fate as we did…or perhaps even worse."

"..." He couldn't deny it.

"I believe in second chances, I believe in redemption…" She smiles at him which made him widen his eyes. "Let's take care of this child, raise him like our own."

"Yumi, I…" He narrows his eyes, but his expression softens as he smiles back at her. "Of course. Let's do it, perhaps this is a sign."

For the first time in his life, he saw what could be the unforgettable moment as Yumi beams a smile. A smile that was devoid of any sadness, despair, guilt and anger. A smile of utmost happiness.

In that moment, he swore to protect that smile at any cost…and raise the child as his own.

Ehh, can't really get behind this premise. If he doesn't lose his memories, then Goku is just gonna be a savage, murderous Saiyan child only looking to complete his implanted mission.

If he does loose them, without Grandpa Gohan what's going to get him interested in martial arts and training his body rather than falling to the same mindset of the Cyberpunk universe?

How much info and tech are they gonna salvage from the ship? No way they're just going to leave it in the woods like Gohan did. And what's going to happen once he goes Oozaru?

I mean....it's the first chapter. Chill, the second chapter is already in the works. You'll get your answers there. Also, regarding Martial Arts....it's fighting. Saiyans are born to fight, Goku's instinct as a Saiyan would eventually lead to Martial Arts or something equivalent in this cyberpunk world. Also, to clarify, this isn't exactly Cyberpunk 2077 world, it's just if Goku landed on an Earth that entered its cybernetics era. AU, so to say

A Saiyan should be able to learn panzerfaust without becoming a quivering pile of meat.
