Feel The Ground Shake (Pokemon - Ground-type specialist)

Finally, this fic dug itself out.
If only he could know where the main base is to drop Quagsire and let the tectonic plates moves.

He got of lighter legally than I suspected he would, but the real cost was the loss of respect I think.
He may not have done terrible things and wouldn't stand idle when they did terrible things in front of him. But he still worked for them knowing exactly what kind of people they were.
I thought since the beginning of the fic that working for rocket was stupid and shortsighted, handling it this way is good without the fic getting too dark.
Plus the fact that he warned Lorelei about Giovanni will likely come back to bite him considering the revelation that Lance knows and is keeping it quiet.
Looking forward to more chapters.

Some part of me thinks that the go to a different country to let the heat die down thing is going to backfire in this case. Bradley seems the part to accidentally fall into the plot and Grundy totally wants to fight Groudon just doesn't know he's around yet.

Also quite interested in what Lorelei does with the knowledge about Giovanni. If she tells Lance, what's Lance going to think about Bradley knowing that?

Lysandre pushed himself up, ignoring the surrounding fires and the shard of rebar piercing into his side.

Not yet.

He grasps the mangled remains of his holo cast equipment. His fingers weakly clutch at the edges of his damaged mega-gauntlet. He ignores the debris-crushed corpse of that urchin Calem who obstructed so many of his plans.

This won't stop him.

He didn't need the damn Legendary.

He didn't need the damn weapon.

The Leader of Team Flare started slowly trudging himself forward, determined to find an exit.

"I'll do it myself."
I didn't play X&Y, what is he doing himself?
"I would never dream of it, O' great Champion."

He holds no delusions that the renowned and publicly idolized 'Master of Dragons' isn't more powerful than him on a personal level…but at this point in their association, if the boy was going to act on his gut rather than his brain…then he would have done so already.
Oh hells no, Lance you filthy traitor. Johto is supposed to be the gen that you rampage through Team Rocket bases. Not get in bed with their ringleader. Throw Quagsire at him.

I'm not shocked by Lance being in bed with Giovanni, but it is a punch to the gut. Also, this is one of the best written version's of "Team Rocket's an actual mob with real dangerous shit-heads," that I've read.

Also more Lorelei is peak. Get your man, girl.

His dreams of a perfect, more beautiful world…his utopia…
ah Lysander the literally unreedable jack ass whole wanted kill everyone cause they were not pretty and or some bullshit about human over population when they dont even take up a tiny bit of the pokemon world biosphere

"Cheers." he toasted to the empty room.
Some bearing strange patterns. Some with wings far too big or too small. 'What is even the point of something like-'
Man Dude is gonna get mind raped by Mewtwo if this is what he is like, and that would be a lovely end to him.

great to see this series getting an update - my favorite ongoing pokemon story right now.

So, Lance knows about Giovanni, eh? Lorelei is going to be crushed when that comes out and we know it will. Probably when Giovanni has her down and out and monologuing and here comes our MC.

The Slateport Market is where the Alakazite is in-game, right? Not surprised that it isn't just lying around in a crowded area, and I haven't read this in a while so correct me if we're in the timeline without mega evolution, but it would've been funny for it to have been spotted.

"But it was special, see. It had four fingers on its tail rather than the typical three. I remember being about…eleven I think…an aide from Prof. Oak's lab had visited to write an article about it. They were doing some story on rare phenotypes. Scientific curiosities and the like."
Damn.

You wouldn't know this, but in one of my Pokemon TTRPG campaigns, my PC rescued a trafficked Aipom with four fingers on its tail. We named her Quarta, and she ended up being a real rockstar.

Weird how things line up sometimes.

It's so good to see this back, though I have honestly forgotten a lot of details. Going back a chapter helped me remember most of it, which means this story is fairly memorable, but the small things like what Carter has for him I'm blanking on.

The team is already bursting at the seams.

I seem to remember the author giving us some hints to future party members, which were all decided if I remember correctly. I wouldn't say no to some Hoenn mons however, Flygon is comedically underrepresented for how vocal its fans are.

Once again, it's nice to see this back and thank you for the double updates, I'll be looking forward to more.

He met Carter in the Mahogany town tournament, He's a breeder from Hoenn, the deal was to provide various ground type mons (and a wide selection thereof because of his Isekai Cheat) in exchange for Smeargles, which he acquired several of when going through the cave where he found Registeel before Azalea town.

Specifically wanted Trapinch and Baltoy for this.

I didn't play X&Y, what is he doing himself?

So X and Y have 2 endings cause 2 games.

The climax of the story is when Lysandre decides to try and doom laser the world because it ain't pretty enough, the protag stops him, and then he turns it on the base with 2 effects. One effect is kill everything which would include himself or give everyone immortality which I think would be worse.

From Legends ZA, since he's still alive, we know it was the latter he did in canon. I guess it's a little spoilery, maybe you actually do care about that so spoiler block it is.

So basically, Lysandre is now immortal and may try to use the Eiffel tower to do him some omnicide. Why that tower? Because Az did not make just 1 super weapon, he made a second one a thousand years after the first
