  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Never actually posted here, but yeah. How do I commission a quest? I have some particular ideas and concepts I want to see written about and no one who's actually writing about them. Is there a place I can go for this or people who would be interested? Also, what could I expect for prices?

Well, you first find the appropriate forum (spoiler: questing main isn't it) and ideally existing thread to ask this question.

Then you realize that commissioning a quest is another way to talk about hiring someone to run it and that, accordingly, the answers to most of your— extremely vague— questions will be some form of "it depends."

That would likely be a patreon thing for you to skim through. You probably want fiction.live for this, fiction.live has a terrible search engine you cannot search for writers, only titles, and unless you have a account (be careful and do not use a email you use often for the fiction.live site, it's not completely safe). On there you have orz ("It's good to be king (a persona 5 Corruption Quest)") and damonisa ("Vicious Rumors") that tend to do quest comissions. Trashgat (Total Drama: Near Danger") is also a writer on there that may be open to a quest comission work.

Just sign up to fiction.live then use it's DM system to communicate with the qms, or go into their quests as a registered user and ask them directly.

edit; also you will need to mess around with the filter system in the fiction.live search engine. Since it's default setting limits access to some quests.

Edit: You should also become a verified user on fiction.live which means when you make your account you get a email link that will get you verified. It unlocks some doors if you go verified on quests.

edit: also when you make your account on fiction.live do not use capitals, use numbers and/or letters. The site somehow alters any capitals in a account., and it is held together by duct tape a lot, so there's no did you type your password right? check. Or a see the stuff you typed in check. Write your username and password somewhere for your future use.
