So it turns out that I still had it on Ignore Thread before.

Saw it on the front page, thought I had removed it before and safe enough to peek into it again.

So why am I still able to see it, and get quoted text mentions from it?

I figured it out. You can't Ignore staff replies.

Doesn't explain why the thread is still visible though.
