"Steven!" You hear your mother call out from the floor below, "You've got a letter! From Implausible Industries?"

You rush down the stairs almost snatching it from your mother's hands in your haste to get at the envelope. It's been three weeks since you applied for Implausible Industries' summer internship project. It was a one off, an extra application thrown in with the rest of your attempts to obtain a summer job. To be honest, you'd never even heard of Implausible Industries before your career counselor mentioned that they might be hiring. It wasn't your first choice, but you've heard back from all the other companies you applied to, and they didn't accept you. So here in your hand is your last chance for a cushy desk job in corporate america. Something nice and relaxing where you can eventually earn a steady income. Not that you'll be earning one this summer, since this is an unpaid internship, but you know how these things work! If you get the internship, and you don't screw up, they're sure to hire you on once you finish your last year in college!

The envelope in your hands is thick, and made out of... is that parchment? or hand-made paper? It's incredibly fancy whatever it is, and it's sealed with a blob of wax like a letter from medieval times. now that you're looking at it, there's a picture in the wax, a signet maybe? what do you call those anyway? It looks like... a gauntlet in front of a pair of crossed test tubes?

It's sort of odd, but maybe that's the way they do things in the business world? Either way, it seems like an awful lot of expense went into this letter, nothing like the thin form rejection letters sent by all the other companies you applied to. This is it! At least, you think it is. Your first job ever!

Slowly you peel apart the envelope, shattering the wax seal. inside are several sheaths of papers. but your eyes are drawn to the top one.

"Congratulations, Steven Slecht!

You have been accepted into Implausible Industries prestigious summer internship program. Implausible Industries has always sought to be on the bleeding edge of technology, that's why we seek to give fresh young minds like yours the opportunities they need to become involved with cutting edge scientific research and development, as well as testing. At Implausible Industries, we believe that when you develop tomorrow's technology today, you can rule the world!

If you accept this position, a limousine will be waiting to take you to Implausible Industries' corporate headquarters in three days. Despite the unpaid nature of the internship, both room and board are fully provided, as well as company uniforms and entertainment facilities. It is not necessary for you to pack anything, though if you want you may take a small bag of personal effects.

Due to your unique background among the applicants, I have decided to make you my personal Intern.

I look forward to your time with us at Implausible Industries.

Sincerely,
Dr. Implausible"

The other pieces of papers look like standard employment documents to you, though they were clearly written by someone with a sense of humor, after all, who puts indemnification for mutant alligator attacks in their legal release papers? Not to mention past histories of being bullied? or experience with industrial accidents? You go through the papers quickly, signing your acceptance of the terms and conditions of your employment with barely any thought. After all, if you don't sign, they won't hire you, and everyone else has already rejected you.

Still... Free room and board? A limo ride? A position as the personal intern of what can only be the head of the company? Even unpaid it looks like this Implausible Industries internship was the way to go. With something like this on your resume, even if they don't hire you you're sure to get a nice cushy job. You're eagerly awaiting your trip to the corporate headquarters three days hence.

[X] Pre-Law

Guys. Guys, if we are a part of the loophole-finding and jail-time-avoiding-and-reduction portion of staff, then they probably won't fuck with the new guy too hard lest we remember slights against us when it's time to decide on posting bail.

[X] ran his high school newspaper.

This one? Means that assuming we have any level of success in that, we're good at spinning things the way the public likes to hear them. Meshes well with the law student.

[X] His interest in genetic engineering.

I got nothing. This one is probably what department we'll be closely associated with, more than anything.

Well, I mostly went with Classic because of Roman and Grecian engineering.
