Until a few days ago you were just a normal man or woman, perhaps you thought yourself exceptional, perhaps you knew you were just one in a crowd. Regardless, that life is.. distant, now.
Because now, now you have felt the touch of a Mystery as they move through the world, like a hand stirring a lakes surface, like rocks shifting the flow of water over them. And a ripple from that splash caught you up, and freed you from the surface for just a moment.
Something happened. It was impossible, and it changed your life. For the the better, the worse? You don't know but, you see patterns now, symbols in the falling leaves, secrets in the television, voices of Gods and Devils in the newscasters rhythm, and you can _use_ what you see, you can do Magic.
Oh and that Mystery, it's not /done/ with you, oh no. Its left you a minder, perhaps a talking cat, or maybe a cell phone that you can't leave behind, and it keeps at you.
Perhaps it is a constant press to /serve/ to toil at what your Master wills with some small part of its being. To make this world Dark or Bright, to have you be a brick in the wall that is the world.
Perhaps instead it tempts and teaches, offering questions when you want answers, and choices when you think the path is straight and clear. To have you grow and twist, and snap others from the dream that is the world.

Okay so I am basically taking Mage : The Awakening 2ed rules but seriously twisting at the structure of the setting. There are no Alantian Orders. No unified Seers of the Throne. And its not as simple as Exarchs are evil, Oracles want you to be free. The Mysteries are each different some seem almost comically evil in their goals, others ask their servants to be true heroes. Most are hard to understand. Gods are not known for their clear explanations. And the Mysteries are less concerned with humanity then many Gods. Or perhaps more then they might seem.
I would like to work with you too figure out what kind of force awakened your PC and set them on the path that lead them to the other PCs. I do want to provide /enough/ either good will or fear to motivate your PC, and to let your PC be the mix of hero or anti-hero or victim or villain that you, the player, desire.
Though defaultly, I am leaning towards actually having the PC's be heroic.

Logistics:
This will be run on IRC over the weekend I am pacific time, and available from 9 am to 9 pm, but only interested in running for 3-4 hours at a time.
