Hello and sorry if I am disturbing with the pinging, but I have been dealing with an issue related to the reordering of threadmarks in this thread:

https://forum.questionablequesting....-snippets-omakes-and-ideas-compilation.14359/

I tried to remove parts off from it, thinking that it was a matter of too many compressed threadmarks but the issue persist.

Here's a picture of the issue:

The Loading bit is new but it also last eternally as it doesn't have a correct redirection to it.

EDIT: I found a new bug while trying to find a way around the issue. I have been removing a few threadmarks, getting the list down to 254, but sometimes it still says there are 389 threadmarks.

I understand that everyone is busy with the holidays and I am not asking for an immediate solution considering how complex this bug is, but I would love to understand if someone is working on it.

I have posted this thread three days ago and what I would like to know is if someone is working on this.

Many thanks in advance.

I can confirm I had the same issue a way back, and it came after deleting a bunch of threadmarks in quick succession because a story was split off into its own thread.

I still have it, by the by.

Hopefully alethiophile has had time since then to get a handle on the issue.

When last I worked on this issue, I ran into a wall where the code throwing the error was inside a blob in the Web code, so I didn't have any easy way to debug it.

At this point we're actively working on the XF 2 transition, with an eye toward finishing it within the next month or two. I'm hoping that that will fix this issue incidentally. If not, under XF 2 we'll be in a better situation to do tricky debugging.

I understand. Then, for the time being, I will create a second temporary thread and maybe move things back once this issue is fixed. I will be more careful about deleting posts from now on. Thanks.
