Kill Six Billion Demons

"U-am-yet was old, yet spry. During the war, he often ate his lunch up by the cape, against the curfew. Soldiers had to chase him down several times and fined him his ration cards, causing him to go hungry.
When I asked him why he risked so much, he told me the ringing of steel from the Princes of the World fighting in the low valley, some ten leagues away at that point, could be heard growing closer every day, and he wanted to be ready.
He went up there every day and ate his lunch, and memorized the sound of death."

Alt text: Maya's timing is not very good

I have two things to say. The first is that the fight is a lot less visually impressive from the planet, especially with the cloud cover. Second, this might be weird to say, but I love how much hair Maya has.

Is that a sound effect, or is someone just writing the words 'DOOM' in the sky?

Also, if it is a sound effect, who do you think is talking about their favourite FPS? The Fool Aspected of Chaos or the Wheel Turning King?

Update

The expression of a man using all of his willpower not to backfist someone.

the alt text is just the name of the page: Breaker of Infinities 2-54

I gotta say, I like seeing their souls, I liked it the first time we got to see Alison's soul and I like it now. I do have to say that it's weird to me that Cio's has as short hair as she does given that the other two look mostly the same. Maybe something about demon's souls? I am kind of disappointed White-Chain doesn't get cloud-hair anymore but I guess that's relegated to a power-up if that brief power-activation after getting a body means anything.

And yeah, Solomon has the look of a man trying to resist Mottom's example of dealing with Gog.

"A little gallows humor never did a man wrong."

(In terms of alt-text, we have no alt-text)

First of all, I really am loving these fight scenes (I'm always a slut for laserbeam followed by it's entire path exploding). Second of all, Solomon has managed to control himself and simply demand Gog honor the pact, instead of splattering her head and/or torso. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do.

Gog really does get no respect. Of course, her idea of making sure everyone has a good time seems to be turning people into herself. Still probably better than Incubus, to be fair.

Also, just because it took a little bit to sink in. Gog reformed in the blast. Didn't dodge it, didn't pull in more material once it had passed, just reformed inside the blast.

Those shorts are still very nice.
Jaggy is stylin'

I'm unsure if Jagganoth did one of the best moves in the fight there or one of the worst with how he immediately shifted the murder-beam over to Gog. On the one hand his first action after she starts moving is to blow her up just like Mattom does. On the other hand his first action after she joins the fight is to go "Master of Ki-Rata, fuck'em, I'll deal with the pest later; gotta make sure Gog-agog is too dead to do anything right the fuck now."

Or, and hear me out ok? With the bwoong (I presume) and explosions that ray is making he couldn't hear what she was saying and turned to hear her better.

I was exepecting more than a moon's worth, that's for sure.

Assuming 100,000 universes with ten billion Gogs each, the resulting mass is about a hundred times bigger than Phobos and Deimos, but still only a tiny fraction of the Moon.

Small moon seems to be the right ballpark, tbh.

Pretty awesome, but it is kind of spoiled by Jagg's invincibility. Unless Allison and Co can pull something off, things will just be like other cycles.
