  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

If the extension for like, hug, funny, informative, and inciteful were paid for, would the admins implent it?

Given the way Funny ratings have become infractable on SV (or at least can have the mods turn a gimlet eye on you), I'm not sure I'd want all the ratings.

I do like hugs as a rating, which can convey sympathy without a post, but I'm not sure that's enough reason to pull in all the ratings.

YMMV.

But still, they're useful for comedy stories.

It's a rather large jump in versions, so I don't know what he would need to do. There's also the issue of the addons we use. Are they all updated to 2.x? Would we lose some to update that far? Would that cause issues? Would alethiophile need to shutdown the forum for a bit and reinstall Xenforo instead of upgrade? All these questions need to be taken into account.
 
I've never gotten in trouble for doing the same thing to peoples SOD, amd quitting story posts.
