• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

So, this is something I've posted about twice in the Xenforo 2 Feedback Thread, here, and here, without any response of any kind after about nine and a half months, despite the fact that I'm apparently not the only person having this issue, so I'm making a dedicated thread about it in the Suggestions and Bugs forum in the hopes that it makes it slightly more likely for the issue to get fixed, or at least acknowledged in any way, shape or form.

The TL;DR is this: Ever since the move to XF2, I've run into an issue where any time I go to QQ on my phone, and open a link to in a new tab, if the link is supposed to send me to a specific post on the thread's page, then when I open up the tab in question, the site instead sends me to the very bottom of the page. Initially, I thought that the problem was just with the alerts page, since that's the most often place where I open a large amount of posts in new tabs, to keep track of all my alerts. However, I've recently realized that the same thing happens if I open a new tab to a post on anywhere in the forum, not just the alerts page. For example, if I open this link to the second post on the rules thread in a new tab on my phone, it will send me to the very bottom of the page instead of to the post in question. The problem also occurs even if the linked post is the very first post in a thread, so for example, if I get an alert about a new thread that has been posted in a subforum that I'm watching, I'll still get sent to the very bottom of the page.

The weird thing is that this doesn't happen if I open a link normally, and if I go to one of the pages after it's sent me to the bottom of the page and hit the refresh button, then it sends me to the correct place on the page. However it's more than a little annoying that I've had to do this almost every time I get an alert on this site ever since QQ upgraded to XF2.

Like I've said before, this is exclusively an issue with the mobile version of the site, and I'm using an android with Firefox as my main browser. The desktop version of the site is unaffected, despite me also using Firefox there.

I'm guessing you have signatures disabled or are using the site in portrait mode where they don't load regardless? Cause that breaks things, it tries to go to the intended point but forgets to not factor in signatures due to running in the background so you end up at the bottom instead. That's why it jumps up when you refresh and doesn't break when you're doing it in the active tab.
