I was walking towards something in the middle of a frozen city. I remember the long trek on the highway, and the bright glow of the thing.

The closer I got to it, the more of its shape I could make out. I don't remeber how long I was walking.
I don't even remember when I started walking.

There was no wind, the city itself was completely silent. No car horns or birds. Just the sound of my barefeet tredging through snow. It was unsettling, plain scary in a way that I can't accurately describe.

After a while, I was able to see what the glowing object was.

...It was...a stone slab.

I stopped before it, the slab in the ground was warm.

I only noticed a how large it was just then, it completely towered over every other building in the city. For some reason, I stood in place, waiting. For what exactly, I didn't really know.

Then, the slab spoke.

"GREETINGS EMPRESS."

I woke up while heaving. My stomach flipping and turning inside out, desperately attempting to expel my dinner. My sheets were soon covered in half digested chicken and peas.

My eyes were tightly shut as I finished, my arms pushing me away from the bed. I fell over in a heap, the fall hard enough to jar my lamp on my dresser that it fell over. The sound of glass shattering was enough to get me to open my eyes.

Of course this happens, this could only be the start to a rather shitty day. I heave a sigh as I begin cleaning up my mess. It didn't take very long, as the glass from the lightbulb couldn't cut my hands anymore.

Well, I don't think anything can actually harm me anymore. Not since those dreams started last year. Although, I don't think I'll be able to dismiss them as dreams anymore.

After relplacing my sheets and lightbulb, I collapse face first on my pillow. I really need to sort myself out. All these 'memories' and 'dreams' deserve to wait in line at a DMV office.

*RIIIIIIIING*

"You gotta be shitting me." I mutter. This cannot be happening right now. Something this stupid and contrived only happens in fiction.

But no, my dumb alarm clock ia actually ringing, which means school starts in an hour. I could just not go. There is nothing that I don't already know being taught right now. If I stay in bed for the remainder of the day, would anyone honestly care?

'You should have a normal life next time around.'

"..."

I rose out of my bed and made my way to my bathroom. A swear leaving my mouth about the world and 'stupid cute fairies'.
