Thankfully he wasn't alone, and others he knew were reborn.

The heavens rumbled with thunder as Zeus, the God of the Sky walked through the halls of Olympus, his gait slow, deliberate, with his newborn in his arms.

The air was thick with the scent of rain, and lightning danced along the seams of his robes, but the baby he carried did not cause any stir. Wrapped in fine cloth, he nestled against his father's chest, unaware of the storm raging outside or what was going on in his father's soul.

Though he had only just been reborn, Jon Snow knew in that brief moment as he looked at the men that this was his father. Knowing he was safe, he fell back asleep.

Eddard "Ned" Stark, once Warden of the North, after his death at the hands of Joffrey Waters in King's Landing. Now he stood as Zeus, King of Olympus. But for now, he was simply a father again, waiting for answers. For he needed them now.

Jon, though related to him by blood, was not his child. The woman who had carried the child - one of his priestesses, the daughter of one of his priests - had been kidnapped and, to his shame and not by his will, died at his hands. And because he was so ashamed, he accidentally killed the woman.

Made him decide to take the child and put it in his own leg.

The circumstances of Jon's birth bothered him more than he cared to admit.

He already had children here with ex-wives he had for political reasons.

He had Athena with Metis, before his divorce at the Prophecy. He had Apollo and Artemis with Leto to make peace with the Titans, the marriage didn't work out either, but the Titan part did.

And finally, he had Hermes with his marriage to Maia, to make peace with Atlas' specific punishment.

And then, with his queen Katelyn, daughter of Okeanus and Tethys, he had Robb, which at first he thought was just a coincidence. Kind of like how his new brother Poseidon was like his foster brother and friend Robert Baratheon.

Just as loud and calling him Ned. Yes, he should have thought more, maybe it was their father's stomach. But Katelyn didn't act like Catelyn.

But now, after seeing his son Robb and now Jon.

Zeus was sure something had happened. He would talk to the Fates about it and maybe learn why Catelyn had changed so much here and what else had happened after his death in King's Landing.

He also took Jon with him, while he could accept Robb, he was his son. Jon was never his son, he told everyone he was his son and his blood, but he never fathered the boy.

Zeus - no, now he was Ned, he wanted to know what happened to the Starks and the North - stood before the three Fates.

"You wish to know what became of your old kin, your other life," Atropos intoned, her scissors glinting.

"We do not always grant such requests," Lachesis added, her fingers brushing over the myriad threads of fate, each pulsing with the essence of a life lived or yet to be.

"But you are no ordinary man, Zeus," Clotho said with a knowing smile, twisting a fresh thread between her fingers. "So listen, and we will tell."

Ned braced himself as fate unfolded the events that followed his death. He had already suspected the worst about the Lannisters.

But even his darkest fears had not prepared him for what they told him. The Red Wedding, the slaughter of his son and his bannermen, the desecration of his family's honor. The lives of Sansa, Arya, Rickon, and Bran.

How his son and heir, Robb, was betrayed. And how his wife Catelyn was murdered and reborn as something vengeful, something other than herself. Calling herself Lady Stoneheart.

"So that's why she's a Chthonian goddess," Ned asked, his voice cracking.
His own sister, Hera, was always confused as to why her foster sister was a Chthonic goddess, as were her parents. So that was the reason.

"She died in anger, in grief," Lachesis explained. "They threw her into the river, but the follower of the Red God had other plans. She is now bound to death with an echo of a mother's wrath."

Ned clenched his fists. He had known that Catelyn's love was fierce, but to become an instrument of vengeance... that was a cruel fate, even for the wife of a god.

"And Sansa?" His voice trembled. He feared her answer almost as much as he needed it.

"She survived," Clotho said simply. "Endured. Suffered, yes, but she remains. She was stronger than you know."

A breath he hadn't realized he was holding escaped him. Small mercies, he supposed.

Then his thoughts turned to the future. "And what of my other children? Will they also be reborn?"

The Fates exchanged unreadable glances. It was Atropos who finally spoke.

"They will return. A new thread has already been spun."

Ned exhaled, his shoulders relaxing, but another question burned within him. "And Jon? Why was he reborn as my son? I didn't sire him, I just raised him."

Clotho laughed, a sound like the rustle of pages in an ancient tome. "He raised the boy, he says," she said, her eyes twinkling. "He is your son. He never knew any other father than the one who took care of him."

Zeus could not argue. They were right. Whatever blood might say, whatever truths might be buried beneath lies and secrets, Jon had always been his son.

And once again, he had to talk to Katelyn about Jon. Zeus thanked the Fates for the information as he left.

As Zeus - no, as Ned - stepped back into the great halls of Olympus, the weight of revelation weighed heavily on his shoulders. The fates had given him answers, but they had also left him with more questions.

Jon, his son - not by blood, but by choice - was here too. And his presence was more than an accident of fate.

Katelyn was different from the Catelyn he had known in Westeros. Here, she was the daughter of the Titan gods Okeanus and Tethys, the queen of Olympus.

But she was... quieter, colder, more distant in a way he could never quite explain about Catelyn. She lacked the fire, the fierce love that had driven his old wife to stand by him, to protect their children with an iron will, to admonish him when she thought he was wrong.

But as he walked toward her chambers, Jon still nestled in his arms, he wondered - had that fire really been lost? Or had it simply been buried under the weight of war?

The doors to their quarters opened with a soft creak to reveal Katelyn standing on the balcony overlooking the endless expanse of Olympus, her expression unreadable.

"You have returned," she observed, her voice soft with warmth. Her eyes flickered to the bundle in his arms. "And you have brought me the bastard son."

Ned stepped forward and held Jon closer. "Jon."

Katelyn's lips parted slightly, her ocean blue eyes narrowing in thought. "Jon, oh." She studied the child. "I just bore you, Robb, Ned. And again you brought... Wait. Jon."

"Yes..."

"So even here you brought a bastard into my house. I wasn't sure why you ran away after your 'Legnancy'. But you seem to have talked to the Fates then."

Legnacny, he really should talk to Robert about his Leg Pregnant joke he made about him. Even Apollo was talking about it.

"Yes. I talked to them."

Katelyn was silent for a moment before she laughed, "at the absurdity of it all. "If I had Robb and you had your bastard back. That means our other children will be reborn too!!" She sounded so happy and hopeful.

"Yes, they told me that, and their lives. Even yours as Lady Stone-"

"It! It doesn't matter, Ned!" Katelyn kissed her husband happily, "We can have our children back, and now they won't have to be afraid of danger like before."

Robert:" I am brothers with Ned, Totally worth it being eaten at birth by my new Dad."

So, what is this story going to be about?
Rewrite of greek mythology and stories of new heroes, the new gods and the changes it has too.

As many heroes just don't exist, as Zeus never sired the bloodlines of many kings and demigods. Many royals are related to Zeus, many of them.
