Prologue

The day started as a fresh sunny day, a blessing. A boy awoke, the boy waking up refeeling their body. The boy was skinny and rather plain looking. Caucasian with fluffy hair and likely brown eyes. Sleeping in the clothes he wore yesterday; he swept the blanket off while standing up. The actions done a thousand times but with him their was a subtle efficiency. With an subliminal swiftness he showered, brushed, and drained two fluids. By the time he was done it was less than an hour later. The boy came out to a "Dinner table", the boy went down and got some pans.

The boy cooked a decent amount for on-.

"Newt!" A woman's voice rang out.

"I told you to wake me up to cook."

The boy stared at her with a blank face. "It's calmer alone."

"Ugh. Just give me a wake-up call. Always being too independent."

The cooking went on, the woman attempting to help with a done. It finished and they ate in si-.

"So, what are what are you planning to do this year."

Another blank stare. "Follow the schedule?"

"You know what I mean, avoid people yet be friendly. Have all the time in the world but be alone." She finished satisfied with herself.

Another stare absolutely filled with emotion.

"I don't know how you get up earlier but are less of morning person than me?"

Before the natural introvert instincts kicked in, returning to eating away. They both finished with milder conversation. But her eyes would sometimes oddly focus on one spot. His wrist. Eventually they finished and left for work and school respectively.

The bus was a short affair, both going to and going home. But this was the first time ride to full on high school. Most of the people were people from the last school. Falling right back on with their troupes and roles. He was odd in how he fit in so sometimes he'd end up with one but not this ride it seemed. However, something was forcing his attention away to a forest that was totally obscured. The same one where everything had begun.

It had been 3 years since the watch crashed down. No ship, no aliens, just it shaped as its own escape pod. He'd used it and it morphed him. He'd learned how force it into a recessed mode or disguise mode. Often going somewhere alone to practice or just change. He had an idea to help people but hesitated due to not wanting to just charge headfirst. Instead, he focused on the watch, trying to uncover various functions or more modes.

School came on like all first days. No one wishes to start or due any real work even the teacher. It also being a mundane average funded school somehow added to the monotony. None of the students are eccentric on the surface. Just a by the motions paragr- school day.

The return just as uneventful. The silence and calm were appreciated, meant he was likely to get some time with the watch. However, today felt different like something was meant to Move.

Whatever I'd come to him. He'd listen to the newest tupac to clear his mind. Maybe modify Wikipedia in his galvan form. Check historical changes and what makes this timeline better than later. For now, the 3ds could hold him over on the bus.

Back at home in a living room, Maybe I was a false positive. Afterall, could it always be correct-. VRRRUUP, VRRRUP, VRRUP. The noise repeated all throughout the house but seemed to originate outside. Newt ran outside and saw Aurora borealis. Somehow in North America. There was the sound of slamming doors and running of feet. Gasps of astonishment and awe. Behind you mom came forward. She looked for a minute before turning around for the T.V.

"-ank you for tuning in. We have a unknown Aurora borealis appearing across the US-." The newswoman stopped mid-sentence by her earpiece.

"Sorry for that. The Aurora borealis appears to be happening on a global scale. And happening simultaneously. News is just coming in and no known weather phenomenon could be able of causing an event of this scale. Meteorologists are still speculating how it came to be and how it could possibly affect Areas. Please, stay tuned." She stated somewhat flustered and feeling some sort of pressure.

The program went to a standstill reporting on other current affairs to fill time. Mother and Son stared at each other trying to gauge each other.

"The smart one, was this part of what to look out for?"

"No."

The boy brough up his wrist. Slowly the normal skin had something slowing bubble on it. The bubbles colored black, white, and green. The bubbles settled slowly into a flat conforming material. With the bubbles settled, there was a device on his wrist. It covered his whole wrist with a giant dial. Several buttons on the watch and dial itself. Pressing the button on the front of the watch. The Dial rose up slightly with a small hiss and green mist flowing out. He took the dial and slowly twisted; figures appeared in the middle of the watch. Like a holographic chamber detailed and colored. Until he stopped on one grey humanoid. He brought his hand over the dial and pushed down.

A crystalline matrix appeared over the boy instantaneously. The matrix filled with green light swirling within. The crystal matrix shaped and moved becoming smaller and smaller. Until 6-inch grey humanoid was on the couch. The figure still had the watch up. She? Brought up her other hand fiddled with the much smaller dial.

"I'll connect to multiple internets and search with a basic V.I. Get as much data and any extra phenomena for further specification."

"Do you need anything from me? Do I need to get your sister?"

"Just take me outside. I want to watch the patterns for any unusual behavior of the aurora."

The hypothetical mother to the female grey brought her outside. She pointed to a place somewhat covered in plant life on its sides, A good disguise for not getting caught (even if it was unlikely). That's how it was for a few hours, fiddling with the dial and watching the skies. While she talked on the phone and with some neighbors.

"-e have an update on the weather phenomenon. While the origin is still unknown we do have reports of some areas reporting the lights turning into storms. The storms themselves disrupt electronics and have mild winds. Additionally, they report animals behaving abnormally and wild animals coming out to the open. Please watch out for your pets and be careful around wildlife. Prepare for blackouts and wi-." The T.V. was losing itself to static it went out.

Clara went out to retrieve her now daughter for an update and keep the news coming. The pictures she got were nice and would sell well but she was not built for survival. She went to the galvan and brough her to the couch. She looked up to the Television understanding and fiddling with the watch causing the tv to spark back on. It was back to more general news and interviews on th ground.

Ok. Clara thought. Storms don't happen often, but it should be just wind. She looked down at ger son and was at least grateful she had him to respond well. The short woman continued in practically silence but her face gave away to something. Her face was focused but it wasn't neutral, it was frowning.

"There's nothing here." She spat. Frustrated with herself.

"There doesn't need to be a throughline, just knowing if where okay." The mother placated something she didn't do often.

"That's how we know were okay. Wait, I have something. People have been seeing figures not really animals out there."

"Figures?" That made her very nervous.

"I don't know. The figures aren't much to go of. Could be affecting people mentally, their eyes, or actual beings. But I'll be checking for different things."

"Alright then."

The news was unhelpful. Just people looking outside and witnessing a impossible event. But slowly something finally happened.

"Um, we have reports of an increase in assaults and abnormal behavior from people. And we have reports of figures that aren't animals or humans. These reports did happen before but were scarcer. Please stay safe and stay close to people you trust." There was a hint of low confidence and disbelief at the words she was saying.

Clara had already grabbed her purse.

"I'm getting your sister." She said with a determined element.

"I…"

Getting his sister made things more difficult. She wasn't in on the secret of how young she was. He couldn't transform in front of her or stay in his forms. He had to stay in his room and his little sister liked to spent time with him. His Galvan form just informed him about basic hypnosis. Hypnosis wasn't as bad as people thought. Still a bit unethical but if we reveal at my current age.

His mom had already left. He would have to have that long discussion later. Large scale weather phenomenon was already a red herring for some sort of artificial interference. Its effects gave away to dimensional projection or noosphere infection. That meant looking for Schizotech or Ritual site.

The news reports had increasing gone more frantic interviews. People were once awed, rushing for supplies or home. Or seeing people act like addicts far in the distance. Eventually they pulled out for a time to get to someplace safer. The place they got where safe from human threats but…

"We are here at the Oliver district. While there are less people here that's for good reason. The local reports here report more abnormal sightsing than violent. We-. Look over there!" He somewhat shouts and points the camera in the direction.

It pointed out to a foggy covered road walled by buildings. But on the side there were small moving black lumps.

"Uh, I'm not what those could be if the camera's picking those up. Uh-"

Those black masses suddenly stopped in place freezing. Until the started bolting toward the camera crew. The blobs have black tendril legs.

"Shit!" The crew started running toward the van which was thankfully close.

"It's not safe in the Oliver district! Please be aware. If a place is devoid of humans, it's probably because had a reason to leave. I don't care what those things are."

"Uh, well George the studio wishes for your quick return and for any viewers truly stay safe. Hostile wildfire? Is on the rise."

The sight and appearance cut down the number of events this could be. A outer-else shift would explain this. The real worry was the extent and expansion. But more and more he wanted a local rundown. Take visual assessment for the worst areas. He decided that was the best turn of action as a Galvan. He changed again. This form was still small but much cuter. Small trails of mist followed him around. He went out of the house, flying outside going unnoticed until he was fare enough away. Bringing up his dainty wrist, going for another change. The form this time was practically the opposite of this. A large green insect.

Over the Edwards district was a slow chaos. People trying to leave in a crowded street with crashed cars. Paranoia won here alongside unobscured fields showing off figures in the distance. She looked down at the desperation for further anomalies.

"Help! Get them off! Get them-!" A woman shouted cornered by two orbs.

She didn't want show her hand but…

Both black orbs were shot with a green liquid knocking them away. The woman looked up for the direction but saw nothing but the northern lights.

Helping people felt better than I thought but I also felt much more anxious. Likely about who else was out there, who could I get to, and could I be able to help them. That's why she avoided just being the hero. Saving people was the most mentally demanding job. With severe repercussions for the person saving too.

But she had a mission. The place here was a coalescent point. It held something that if they interacted with they could bring down the activity and some data. Annnnd… there it was. A zone of red translucent blob. She went inside and brought up her wrist. Her Galvan was back and twisted the dial. A strange and turtle-like creature took her place. A warbling of energy took place.

"Alright, more difficult since it ain't a straight portal but doable."

A burst of light and the blob of red slowly faded away.

He was back home thankfully away unseen for now. But that stabilization probably didn't go unnoticed. He took a break playing games and listening to music. It didn't matter what, just that it calmed him. The front door handle twisted.

"We're back!" She proclaimed a early warning.

Nothing too abnormal happened later. His sister was more upset but that's easily explained. The news reported the area calming down but to be on guard. School was canceled until further notice. He could only wonder. How much more was his watch needed.

Practically a new life again New
Chapter 1

The day had begun 2 weeks after the global borealis. Humanity at large was still shaken up by the event but had good reason not to lose it. After all the mass appearance of hostile creatures had lasted only a few hours. And said hostile creatures were either human sized or smaller. But now real answers at large don't exist. However, one thing remained from the whole ordeal.

Large black masses appeared at random and sparsely around the globe. 30 in total. These black suns or "radiuses" looked like black holes with orange surroundings. The real effect was that around them or in their radius they kept a stable anomalous zone alive.

This was kind of his fault. He'd only focused on creating a countering deconstructing resonance. He didn't account for anything that could use it to stabilize with. But this wasn't a terrible consequence, just a very large unpredictable change to the timeline.

Which left him in two predicaments. One, a radius had out of all 30 was right next by to where he lived. It wasn't in any place populated and still a distance away but still close. Two, a community meet up. Done out of a sense to regain normalcy and plan out the town's next moves or how the town is gonna be changed into.

"Newt! ready in 15 minutes!"

Hmmmm. He should probably relax, focus on details as they come. Staying strung out over a stable phenomenon didn't help solve it. He gathered his things resigning himself to the fate of high school.

Centre was an electric place. You could feel it and probably charge the battery in the air. People talked about the borealis most like a thunderstorm or tornado. There was no official schedule just a meeting. There were tables around Either filled with parents and their Younger children and tables filled with more independent teens.

And then he found his comfort. A group of four previous friends. All guys and more importantly more energetic than him. He would contribute a little and they would go off.

"Mind if I join?"

"Oh! Newt!" David exclaimed. "Sure. We got room."

He sat down now finishing the friend group he'd stay with for the rest of high school. They oddly didn't start with what they saw. But how their parents kept them coopted up inside for their safety. Though did end up getting decent time gaming. And then.

"So, what'd you'd guys see."

"I only saw the sky and what the news showed."

"Well, I-." George spoke up. "I saw a how bunch of small orbs glowing."

"Glowing orbs?" Glen spoke up.

"Yes, and before you say anything. The news reported on it later."

"You know I live near the woods. But I didn't really see anything. Just Very strange shadows, and the shadows themselves started to morph and move."

We all turned to morgan to give his statement.

"I don't have anything different about the weird stuff, but I know some stuff from my parents that the town's changing.

That got my attention.

"Radiuses appear either far away or right on top of civilization. We're really the only one in an optimal position. So, for research this is the ideal place."

George spoke "Coastfield is a small-ish town. How they going to do research.

"It's a small-ish town right now." I spoke up. "Something like this is worth hundred billion if not a trillion."

"A Trillion!?"

"A-"

"The official presentation will start in 5 minutes, in 5 minutes." The voice came from the front podium and resonated out from the speakers.

"Shit." Glen spoke. "I got to get back to my parents, probably the same for you all."

"Alright, hopefully I'll you all again. But my parents are on the fence about moving. So, it was also nice meeting you." George said with a bit of remorse.

"Same here." Morgan.

"I want to meet you guys again, but who knows they could end up remaking the whole district." David

"Hopefully if we do, we end up somewhere better." I finished the break-up.

Ok, bit of a friend group failure however not anyone's fault. Everyone in the hall scurried around reorganizing. The stage had flipboard set up. A large row of chair across the stage.

"Um, thank you for coming so soon and I know we've interrupted some plans." The mayor spoke voice tinged with unfamiliarity of delivering such impactful news.

To be honest, a majority of the town is leaving. Living next to or close to an unknown either makes you curious or frightened. For those leaving, I'm not angry. Your family history got you squat today and wasn't anything supposed to be coming. I wish you the best and just ask you let your families say their goodbyes to everyone.

For those staying expect change. I've already been contacted by a dozen government agencies. Everything in coastfield is being redone. Filled by the adventurous somewhat throwing caution to the wind. Still it won't be any less of a town just getting government money. More jobs and the reconstruction of education totally.

"What about cost of living." An background voice spoke up.

"Three things. Any property you own is likely to skyrocket in value. The mass influx should provide an influx of high value jobs. Housing laws mean some assistance financially and limit the effects a person should feel and somewhat limit the town." The mayor spoke now more in zone, prepared to continue taking answers.

There was a decent number of continuing questions, but most people did continue with leaving. Mom seemed to still be anxious about the future. This was another consequence and really couldn't undo it right now. Still the Omnitrix had that emergency selection mode. Now only if it could define its definition of emergency.

It has now been a month since the global borealis. There had been a lot of goodbye and goodbye parties. Each person/family did it differently and sometimes it was unkind. With everyone leaving the last people had signed up for assistance at least until the influx. And an influx it was.

People had descended upon coastfield in doves. The first people where government surveyors. A bit of national guard had also come down to scout as well. Though to be honest they were here in the first week. And left after the next people came.

Next was government agencies and organizations close to the government. It consisted of many researchers, looking for any dangerous activity. Mainly radiation and spatial distortion. They also were temporary, only some stayed. The cost of full-scale constant research operations over a somewhat stable area had justified the pullout.

What came next were the actual people. Equivalent to pioneers coming toward opportunity. Some came from the other side of America. Even parts of towns came. A decent number of start-ups came too.

Laws had blocked larger companies from throwing their weight around. Along with the fact is that all the land in the radius was nationalized in a sense. Mom had managed to get a government accounting job, which pretty much got rid of her anxiety.

Now that government money was something else. It was just money from a spending act. It was full active investment. Those new construction companies where put to use. The entirety of coastfield was being redone. Even historic place where being moved. As long as it mostly looked the same and near the area it was before it still was historic.

He hadn't been out much. Much less to the radius to investigate. Given everything moving around he could use it as a cover. But his situation didn't covert itself well to just leaving. And school was starting in less than a month.

He'd be restarting from scratch technically. Probably the worst outcome of all this. Well, no, could be good for excuses since no one knows him. Guess he'd be waiting until he had some free time. Or until mom agreed.

There was a community welcoming. Just why? I guess just not wanting people to just be money hungry entrepreneurs. A bunch of random people are probably eccentric due to the fact moving their entire life. And it was all happening in the newly expanded and renovated community center.

It was basically a bunch of dads and moms just making small talk. Anyone under 18 to 13 either had friend groups with they migrated with or had no one to talk to. 12-1 could just make friends. But there was one aspect of it that got my attention.

Some real rich folk or Phd's came by to foreward careers unlike anything else. Rich people got less of my attention. Still if he needed to "investigate" their research it'd at least be top tier details.

After a afternoon of nothing I'm left with three days until actual high school. Pretty sure I'm frozen until high school starts. Though I'm still wonder if the town is truly out of the radius effect zone.
No wait he'd only scoped out the function and let it slowly accumulate data. Still it should still over a long distance the same over a small one so.

"Omnimatrix shift internal interface to to teleport and global mapping."

Okay, let's look at the 3d mindscape and look for a spot. Alright, this one's only two states over and in a desolate spot. Just need to pick a spot on the opposite side of the town, south park.

"Omnitrix take me to North Forest?"

That unoriginal nam-. The space where the boy was seemingly blinked, and he was gone.
