The dented steel cabinet continues screaming, if a bit hoarse sounding. The two men that you've taken down lies bleeding to death at your feet.

Now that the excitement is over, you now notice that there was another corpse that you've missed on the way in. It's dressed in the same robes as the other two, well, he was, but now both the robe and him are literally ripped apart, the body parts sewn across the room. An expression of horror was etched upon his severed head.

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

What language is closety guy screaming in. Anything I recognize? Or just generic wordless howls of 'oh god no'?

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

The scream that you hear is the universal, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" with ragged gasps of air in-between each outburst, it is unknown what language the cabinet speaks at this point in time.

Current Location

Chandra: Main Hold – Gun Deck
Dinn: Main Deck – Captain's Cabin
Komana: Main Hold – Gun Deck
Mhonagan: Main Deck – Fore Deck
Tyrion: Cargo Hold – Cargo Deck

Current Known Locations

Main Deck – Main Deck

The rope bridge is located here, from where you've boarded. The fore part of the ship contains a ladder to the Fore Deck and the door to your room. To the aft, wooden stairs lead to places unknown upwards while underneath that is a trapdoor to another pair of stairs heading down into the Main Hold on the Gun Deck. Next to this trapdoor is the door to the Captain's Quarters. In the middle, a large mast rises upwards ending in a crow's nest for a lookout.

Dinn is here after concluding her business with the captain.

Forward Cabin – Main Deck

This cabin is yours for the trip on the ship. Your possessions rest here if they haven't specifically placed elsewhere. Makeshift bedding lies strewn amid the barrels, casks, and crates that fill the room.

Captain's Quarters – Main Deck

You've been warned to keep your noses out of here unless you want the Captain's wrath brought down upon your heads. The captain of the ship, Veane is here along with a man called Ulamon looking over some charts.

Main Deck – Fore Deck

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair stands here looking out to sea while fiddling with a black-bladed knife.

Mhonagan is finished his vandalism here.

Main Hold – Gun Deck

This large hold acts as temporary storage and the Throaty Mermaid's galley. Looking around, you can see that it contains a number of strange pipes that are still in the process of being boarded here but seem to belong to a larger system of plumbing, mining ventilation or other technical purpose. A set of wooden stairs leads up to the main deck in the aft starboard corner of the hold from which you've walked down, and a wooden door to the first mate's cabin (Currently used by Sephriel and Thanzeril) stands in the aft port corner. A door in the fore port corner leads to a stairwell down to where Chandra went. The fore bulkhead contains a thin wooden door leading to places unknown. The fore starboard corner of the hold is filled with various crates and barrels of foodstores, a modest washbasin, and a strange alchemical apparatus apparently used for heating food.

Located in the main hold is the galley, there's a female dwarf by the name of Shira Acidaxe with a tattered eye patch, she sports a mouth of silvered teeth, a nasty scar on her cheek, and is missing half of her left ear. She apparently has been a cook on this ship for over twenty years and is unfriendly with everyone, no exceptions.

Komana, and Chandra are here.

First Mate's Cabin - Gun Deck

This cabin normally serves the first mate's quarters, but has been Sephriel and Thanzeril's cabin since the Throaty Mermaid departed Absalom.

Cargo Hold – Cargo Deck

Amid the crates and cargo of the Throaty Mermaid's lowermost hold stands a sturdy wooden cage filled with straw and sawdust, door secured by a thick steel bar. A man sits on a small wooden stool, leaning against the slats of the creatures' wooden crates, tending to the creatures within. A bedroll lay next to the stool. Next to the stairs that's used to enter this area is a door to another part of the ship.

The man, Velagon, is annoyed at the nosiness of Chandra and is currently suspicious of her from her prying.

Tyrion is busy here.

Tyrion

"Trouble with the stores?" I ask silvertooth.

If there isn't enough stocked to comfortably feed an influx of extra people for the voyage, then that's a problem for everyone.

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

The dwarf gave a nervous twitter before showing you a mouth full of silver teeth in a forced smile before answering, "No, justa accountin' and makin' shure dat everythin' here. So fa so gud."

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

Tyrion

"Of course, yes. It's always important to make sure everything is in its place, and hasn't gotten lost beneath a shelf or some such. If I may, I am called Tyrion, dabbling trader and student of the arcane. Would you be the Mermaid's Quartermaster, then? Perhaps you could tell me a little of yourself... and the rest of the crew, of course."

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

The dwarf shied away from Tyrion as he introduced himself. She answered him gruffly while staring with her only eye twittering madly, "Not quartermaster, cook. Bin here nigh on on twentee yars. As fer the rest of them arseholes, ya can ask them yerself. For me, I're Shira Acidaxe. "

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

Tyrion

"The pleasure, of course, is all mine." I say, smiling as charmingly as I can manage. "But don't allow me to keep you from your duties. We can talk another time... perhaps over a drink, or deck of cards."

I let the conversation wind down to a close, and then follow Chandra down to the hold, to see what's going on.

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

Excusing himself from the group, ostensibly to get some air in the hopes that it will help with this 'infernal rocking' (and believe him, Mhonagan is a self-proclaimed expert on the infernalness of things, and the abyssalishness for that matter.)

Once on the main deck, Mhonogan strolls as quickly as he can to climb the ladder next to the group's cabin, hoping to check the view from the front of the ship if anyone asks. And, other reasons.

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

Diin

Mentioning quietly that she would join everyone later Diin walked off to search around the ship for the Captain. Deciding to ask the first officer if he could introduce her to him if she can't find him in the common areas.

Re: Pathfinder Thursday Group-IC continuation

With the party gathered in the Forward Cabin, it is decided that it's time to go question the crew-members and passengers about what they might know about Sephriel's murder. Who shall be the first victim... err... subject? First Mate Mallick and the elf prisoner that you caught is currently on the Main Deck right now, the former cleaning up the mess that the latter's party made.

Diin knows that Captain's Veane is in his cabin accompanied by the half-elf Azurette.

Tyrion knows that the medic Killik, the dirty cleric who propose to do him for money is always in the Crew Quarters and the smuggler's in the Cargo Hold.

Chandra and Mhonagan knows that Anera idles around on the Foredeck.

Everyone knows that the dwarf is acting suspicious all on her lonesome in the Main Hold.

Tyrion found no traces of poison in Sephriel's body, while Diin found Thanzeril naked along with a mysterious being the Forward Cargo Hold. Multiple stab wounds seems to be the cause of death so far, but the weapon of the crime still hasn't been found.
