problems with alerts

Is anyone having problems with alerts, because ever since the thread bug, i haven't been getting any unless ive watched them after it got fixed, none of the ones i was watching before have alerted me even if theyve been getting new post by the author, is it just me or have other people been getting the same

try unwatching and then rewatching them.
 
unwatching and rewatching them all is gonna take me days unless you know a quick and easy way
 
Yeah, I just got this problem too where I got emailed alerts despite telling it otherwise.
