  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

If I were to start a story using one of the CYOAs here or what I've looked up, do I need to get permission from the creator first?

Just write.

Like credit the CYOA and the creator... But you are not beholden to ask permission or hew strictly to the CYOA.
