• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

My half joke suggestion is to add a rule against being an annoyance with reports...
Here's me, looking for a new fic to binge, I always check they're active, don't want no deid fics...
Then I finish reading and make a decent sized comment, no TFCT spam from me, no Siree.

I accidentally commented a couple times slightly over the 30 day limit, immediately some stiff got outraged and reported necro.
Geez, it's just one notification, clearly not from OP, ignore it if you don't care about comments or change your damn preferences.

There's story active and comment section active.
Sure, and there's story active and story active, depending on the story.

If you were checking whether the story was active, you would know whether the last story post was 28 or more days ago, which would tell you to double check the date of the most recent comment before posting.

Was the comment section active, or were you "slightly over the 30 day limit"?

Because those are kinda mutually exclusive concepts.
Comments were a ghost town, just some on the same day of the latest update.

Or you could just let me rant, let the thread die and not nitpick. I see last update in February, I don't even realize we're already in the second half of March and I might be "necroing".
If the story hasn't been updated in multiple months or years, then I won't necro by accident.

First of all, no. Second, HELL no.

This will not be considered whatsoever. You break the rules, that's on you. Only staff see reports for a reason and it's to prevent that kind of idiocy about going after reporters.

Or you could, you know, go in the actual rants area.
