[RoboCop: Night City]
Throughout my long existence as an officer of the law. I have seen both wonders and terrors, big and small, local and in several instances. Interdimensional.

One such case of the latter would land in me in a rather precarious position. I have seen and fought criminals of all shapes and sizes, for all good and ill. Be they corporate mercenaries, android assassins, heavily armed and/or armored cyborgs with enough firepower to level a city, or even your run of the mill street thug that's too high on nuke for his own good. Yet, life continues to find new ways to surprise me at ever corner I turn.

A simple chase for a gun runner who was looking to cash in on the chaos surrounding OCP's final push to force the last of Old Detroit into leaving. Resulted in me going far beyond both my home of Detroit and my reality as I became entangled in the machinations of a so-called 'goddess' of time Kronika. Whose actions echoed across so many life times that I cannot even begin to process the sheer suffering she has caused in her efforts to gain total dominion over all of existence.

It was only thanks to cooperation and assistance of others were we able to fully intervene and prevent her mad plot from coming into fruition. It was at the apex of this, where our group arrived to face Kronika herself did things take a sudden and abrupt turn. For just as Liu Kang and Raiden moved to stop her as she stood before her hourglass that controlled all time, I found myself cast across not just time but also space.

[Rolling for upgrades to Murphy from Rogue City]
Combat: 1d10 = 10
Armor: 1d10 = 10
Vitality: 1d10 = 9
Engineering: 1d10 = 8
Focus: 1d10 = 10
Scanning: 1d10 = 9
Deduction: 1d10 = 9

Psychology: 1d10 = 10

For a time, I had assumed that I had returned to Detroit but it soon became apparent that it was naught but another trick played by Kronika. An attempt to remove me from the battle between her and Liu Kang, trapping me in a cycle of events that continued for several weeks. During which, I faced some of the worst enemies of my home, repeatedly. I survived and went beyond the call of duty, using the time and the knowledge I had of the loop to gather information and unlock hidden enhancements built into my body. Finding additional upgrades that allowed me to stand face to face with foes that would outnumber me and be considered my 'superiors' technologically.

By the time the Loop was finally broken by Liu Kang's victory over Kronika, I had amassed a large stockpile of documents, blueprints, and technical manuals. There was more I could have taken but the circumstances of the loop and Liu Kang's battle prevented my attempts to gather further information. With Liu Kang's victory, time itself shattered, once again hurtling me beyond my home and to place that at first seemed foreign but upon close inspection, felt all too familiar.

The City may change, the Crooks might wear brighter outfits, but the script remains the same and as an officer of the law. I will continue to play my role to the best of my ability…

No matter how tacky my foe may be.

"I'll ask this only one more time, whats the damn code to the safe!" Merlin demanded as he pointed his Crusher shotgun at the gas attendant of the small desolate station that sat within the heart of what could be described as Night City's toilet.

"I-I don't know!" "Bullshit! You knew better than to put water in your Chooh2 but you still did it! So, I'm bettin' you know the code the safe in the back you lying fuck!" The Raffin roared at the cowering attendant as his two other associate were riffiling through the store for snacks. Save for one.

"Mer, I'm stepping out for a smoke," "Yeah, yeah, whatever Lenny just keep an eye out for any of this asshole's customers."

"You got it." With that, the mohawked Raffin stepped out into the hot air of the California night. Leaving his would be leader to continue to shake down the cheap-skate gas station attendant within. Pulling out an inhaler, he took a quick whiff of its narcotic substance, belting out a stream of smoke and closing his eyes. His nerves relaxing at the familiar boost of the drug running through his system, Lenny became so consumed by his latest hit. He failed to notice the slow steady stomping of metal feet upon the cracked concrete covered with rubble and trash…

"I'm going to give you till the count of 3 gonk, otherwise I'm painting the floor with your grey!" Merlin roared as the station clerk sobbed and curled up into a ball on the dirty floor of station. Whilst the two other Raffin chuckled and made various jokes at his expense, a sad common occurrence in Night City.

Yet, where this story would have fallen for the typical route of grim darkness endemic to the tales of oppressive dystopias.
"One! TWO! THR-!" "GAGH!?" This would not be the case tonight as with a loud bang and sickening crunch, Merlin stumbled back as Lenny crashed into the counter of the station with enough force to dent the metal and plastic surface. His fellow Raffin letting out a choking gurgle as a light pop and crack was heard upon impact, before unceremoniously slumping to the ground in a gurgling heap of blood and cyberware. Whilst Merlin and his two other Stooges could only watch in shock before they then heard it.

The sound of heavy metal foot steps coming from the door to the store, turning around, the three froze. Not in fear, not in hesitation, but in disbelief.

"What the fuck, you crawled your way out of the trash heap choom? Cus, those bits look older than my old man." Merlin quipped as he stared at the man dressed in chrome and black armor, armed with a pistol he couldn't recognize, and sporting cyberware that looked absolutely ancient by modern standards.

"I'm going to give you one chance, drop the weapons and surrender." The Full-Borg commanded, undaunted by Merlin's verbal jab, pressed forward with his slick black visor staring the Raffin down. His command was met with laughter and mockery.

"Pfft… Look at this dumbass, thinks he's Adam Smasher, Nah Choom. Here's whats happenin' we're gonna kill your gonk ass and sell ya for parts and then kill this fuck who tried to water down his fuel. Comprende?" Merlin mocked as he lazily gestured his shotgun at the chrome and black borg.

"Is that your final answer?" "Is that my-oh fuck it," Merlin didn't hesitate and quickly squeezed the trigger on his Crusher. Yet instead of going down like he expected…

(Robocop Armor 10)

"FUCK!" All the Raffin received for his trouble was some of his own buckshot coming back to nick him in the leg. Not piercing his clothes due to their Kevlar fabric but certainly hurting enough to give him a Charlie horse. However, that was not his biggest issue as just as he went to jump in surprise…

(Robocop Focus 10)

He soon found himself missing the top of his head as with a staccto of burst fire. The chrome borg quickly eliminated the Raffin leader causing his two other lackies to snap into action as they both attempted to kill the full-borg. Unloading round after round into him with their own weapons, yet despite this overwhelming fire…

"Gagh!?" They were on the back foot of this slow, methodical machine that was stompping his way towards them. Quickly taking out the third member of their party, leaving only one final survivor who was desperately trying to reload his rifle and had just barely had it ready to fire when he had his back to the wall. Staring down the barrel of the chrome borg who had only one thing to say to him.

"Think it over Creep." The Raffin stared at the full borg for a second before trying to raise his rifle. That would be his final act as he was soon peppered with rounds and collapsed to the floor leaking blood and oil upon the station's linoleum floor.

The threat removed, the station attendant slowly peaked his head over the desk to look at the Borg as he opened a compartment in his leg and after a stylish flourish with his pistol. Stowed the weapon away in the compartment and turned to look at the attendant, who froze in hesitation and fear, fear that only grew as the Borg approached. His heart pounding in his ears as he stared at the chrome and black cyborg in the face, he barely registered his question and had to shake his head to steady himself.

"I-what?" "I asked if you are well Citizen." The station attendant paused for a moment at the statement, surprised at the sudden act.

"I… Yeah, I'm ok, better than them at least." "Affirmative, I now have a question if I could have a minute of your time." The attendant blinked at how… polite the Full-borg was in that moment. Though automatically, he had an assumption of what he wanted to ask and sighed.

"…Yeah, yeah, I gather you want some sort of payment right?" The attendant was already dreading having to fork over what little savings he had to this random borg solo who showed up to save his ass. It was common practice in Night City for mercs to demand some sort of payment regardless of the task.

"No." "Look I have just a-No?" The borg's objection to being paid left the NC resident frozen stiff in disbelief. "What do you mean, No?"

"I did not intervene with the expectation of a monetary reward. I simply did so as my duty as an officer of the law demanded." "Wha-you're a cop?! You sure as hell don't look like any NCPD pig I've seen… No offense."

"I have been called much worse and to answer your confusion, I'm not exactly from around here, if you couldn't already tell. I'm a bit lost and I could use some directions." The borg explained causing the attendant to blink in surprise.

"Directions, I-who-ugh… Whatever, look man. You're in Night City in the free state of North California, where the did you come from anyway?" The attendant asked, mentally having to recall that he was talking to a full borg, he had never seen one so… Human.

"Detroit or Delta City." "Wait, shit, you're from Detroit of all places!? Fuck, no wonder you took out these gonks so easily." The attendant noted as his own knowledge of Detroit still had it as an active Combat Zone the size of a city. Even balkanized as it was between the ultra-rich and super poor, it was a dangerous as all fuck city.

"I see, you wouldn't happen to have a digital device I could use that would allow me access to more information, would you?" The chromed up Borg asked carefully causing the Attendant to blink in surprise at the question.

"Wha-you mean a Cyberdeck? Don't you have one, I mean, you know…" The attendant gestured to the borg who shook his head.

"Negative, my chassis lacks a "Cyberdeck" as you've described, and you could say I'm in the market for one. Preferably not one I'd have to have implanted." The borg admitted with a frown causing the attendant to pause for a moment, before reaching under the desk.

"Well, if you want an old Cyberdeck as your payment, I'm not exactly against getting rid of this old one we found outback in its box. Unopened. I was planning to just post it on the city net for a collector to buy but if you want it." The attendant offered as he placed the plastic covered box on the counter, the box was small, but certainly heavy. It was no larger than a smartphone case as the Borg recalled from his own memories of encountering far more advanced tech.

"This will be more than adequate, thank you." The Borg said with a nod before turning to leave causing the attendant to blink. This was perhaps the most pleasant interaction he had ever had in years and it came from a full-borg of all people. Full-borgs were borderline cyberpsychology cases most of the time but this guy…

"Hey, wait a sec, what's your name?!" The borg stopped for a moment and turned to look at the man he had saved.

"My name is Robocop." The borg proclaimed to the baffled man before leaving the store. Walking down the road with a clear destination in mind and though it would take him a while to reach Night City on foot. That was perfectly fine for Murphy as he would need the time to understand and learn just what kind of world he's landed on this time…

AN/Thanks for reading!

Hey bandit happy to see you made an account on this site, im Sotano over on fiction.live and gotta say love the fic and hope you write more of it man!

Nice though without ocp with their first up his ass will we see the suppression of Alex Murphy the human removed?

Let's see how old school Robocop reignites hope in this dystopian shitshow.

Robocop's dicition seems a little off. Is that a result of the time loops?

Er, without OCP, what's Alex going to do about maintenance and ammo? Baby food is easy enough to find, though whether the synthetic crap will be pure enough for Murphy's delicate systems is another question entirely.

Alex after a bit research is going to work towards swapping out is hardware for stuff in setting, preferably from Vik as the ripper doc. Plus, he was able to snag a bunch of plans and blueprints from his time in the loops. It's why his stats are so high. He's also around the level of stats needed to keep him self going give or take. Not a full rebuild mind you, but enough to where he can keep himself supplied and light repair work.

What year did he arrive in night city Bandit?
2075, early enough to cause some serious changes and gives Robo time to try and change things.

First time writing Robocop's dialogue, so you can blame the oddity on my own inexperience with the character. Though to be fair, he has been known to give into slight slips when he speaks to show he's still human

That has been dealt with for a long time now, this is past RoboCop 2, after Mortal Kombat 11, and after several 'new game plus' loops of Rogue City. His archaic systems work in his favor here as not a damn soul can hack him, unless they can physically grab him and rip his helmet off.

Well he ain't gonna die of boredom in Night City that's for sure.
No, no he won't, in all due honesty. It's basically what he's already used to, save for a trustworthy set of allies, supplies, and the crooks have cyber tech that make them far above normal humans. Also if the worry for money comes up in your mind, recall the unbelievable amount of NCPD Scanner Side Hustles most folks ignore that give only a small payout usually. Now imagine what happens if someone completes practically all of them.

Year 2075 you say? That means everyone's favorite short stack gun gremlin girl Rebecca is alive and well. Though I can't remember when she left the Mox to start edgerunning. David would be a fun one to interact with too, along with his mother.

I am excited to see how he interacts with all the edgerunners and the relationships he develops with them. Also does Robocop have the ED- 209 schematics if only so he could found weaknesses in them because night city definitely need something like that.

ED-209 would be trash compared to the bots in cyberpunk. I don't think the weaknesses would transfer over that well. Plus with the success of the Robocop program they got shelved. So the flaws never got corrected, if they were going to do it that is. ED-209 was a graft project remember? Sell it to the military, then rake in the money from the parts and maintenance.

Speaking of ED-209.

I have a question that has troubled me since 1987: How ED-209 came to be armed in a boardroom full of corporate executives?

How!?!? WHY!?!? And who allowed that to happen, and were they killed for it?
