Round robin SI?

I had the idea back when I was reading Furikomaru's Sailor Moon SI, and it sounds kind of fun. Basically, an entire crew is replaced by SIs, but in such a way as no one notices the others - at least at first. The entire group is trying to fake it, well but imperfectly. They could have different levels of memory on the subject material, or think they're in different genres; one might be peppy and eager to fight evil while another SI is tortured by the idea of the person they're replacing.

No idea on the specifics - would we each do a chapter from first person? Would it be more like a pbp game where we interact but don't speak for others' characters? Should we have an overarching GM-type person to keep track, or keep things freeform?

We wouldn't have to do Sailor Moon, although I'd be okay with that.

Worm could work, it certainly is popular right now. Although what narratively important group (or groups?) do we hang the idea on? Undersiders seem the obvious choice, although I'd feel a lot less shitty for effectively killing Hookwolf to take him over.

But for ultimate fun? Slaughterhouse Nine. Congratulations! You're now leading a band of merry psychopaths that will kill you if they suspect! Except they're actually all replaced with pod people, too. But how many atrocities would you commit before you refuse... and realize they're not going to kill you after all?

And then we'd be the fucking Slaughterhouse Nine, without teeth, in a universe that hates and fears us.

Depends on the numbers we draw, I guess.

The Merchants aren't bad. Skidmark has a lot of potential, Squealer is basically a white trash Ork Mekboy, and Mush makes trash golems. And Trainwreck has proesthetic armor-limbs or something.

A problem with The Merchants may be that everyone would suddenly be stuck in the bodies of drug addicts with all the problem that brings with it.
Might make things more interesting but certainly not very pleasant.
There's also the fact that, at least according to my impression, there'd be the least pressure to stay IC so to speak with The Merchants (at least pre-Leviathan), which would mean the gig could be up rather soon.
And post-Leviathan, the deadline until the S9 slaughter everyone would be pretty close, which could of course also make things very interesting, but troublesome if handled incorrectly.

As for the S9, that'd be rather hilarious, but once the gig is up there's always the possibility of everyone getting plastic surgery from whoever is Bonesaw and just agreeing to lay low.
They may not make the impression, but they could have seriously nasty stealth capabilities, if they wanted to.
