Hi there,

I wanted to ask what's QQ take on using celebrities/real life people as props in NSFW contect, either as characters with their real names, or using their likelihood as reference material for characters?

For instance, can I write a story/quest about a celebrity?

Or

Can I use an actress picture to use their face for a character?

This isn't about use of AI, just images taken of them IRL and use of their names.

Thanks.

There's a few stories on QQ about Hollywood SI characters that use Hollywood actors as prominent characters. I doubt using a celebrity as the main character would be too different.

And I've seen people use celebrity pictures as reference images before, I don't think there are any rules against it.

Like riotous living said, though, alethiophile (admin) has made a relevant comment during a different discussion:
As regards US law, the nature of "obscenity" as a legal concept means that making determinations here is challenging. QQ's policy is to allow any fictional content that is not illegal under US law. However, content that leaves the realm of pure fiction is subject to much more scrutiny. In particular, we don't allow any sexual content that includes any real person who is under 18, and sexual content including real people in general is questionable. In general, we reserve the right to take down any content that seems likely to cause legal issues.
I interpret that to mean it's fine, and will continue to be fine, up until someone referenced raises an objection. I don't think that's particularly likely in most cases.
