Maybe a Remnantian version of Freddy Kruger.

Instead of being burned alive, he is chased outside a village and is assaulted by a Geist. But instead of dying after being attacked he awakens a semblance that merges him with the Grimm, gaining its powers.

Now there's a homicidal, intelligent golem that can shape itself into anything, and it's picking people off, one by one.

Guys, I have a particular question about my writing, specifically about Jaune.

I connect with Jaune because back then, just like him, I was a hesitant teenager with insecurities, a working brain, and fuck ton of anxiety.

So the premise is this, someone asks Jaune that why is he so against pursuing relationship with multiple women, and then he mentions something like,

"If I accept this proposal, then i will make sure that they are treated as my equals and not my subordinates, but then what happens that they find someone that feels just as right for them as I felt, what if they too feel love for multiple people, nobody is truly special, even I am not going to be special forever, there will be people just like me, so what then? The equality of out relationship will demand that I am completely fine with them dating another man, while I know I am not comfortable, so why should I ask them to allow me to date another woman?"

And this isn't just me asking for fantasy esque answer that "No the girls will always love him and no one else, he will always be the perfect lover and will never fail(which goes against Jaune's character to be a an inspirational failure), yada yada"

I thought it would be out of character response from Jaune, but considering his need to be loyal, his insecurities, his ability to think things through and realize what the consequences could be, I cannot possibly say that it is out of character for him to be avoidant of a harem.

How would you answer it and tackle this issue?

Actually, I can 100% see Jaune use your reasoning. With the result of his parents having him and his 7 sisters, canon Jaune would surely subconsciously learn from his parents on how love would be like. Canon Jaune would only want one person and would reject a harem.

Of course, to each person their preferences on how to write a fan fiction of an established character, but if I were to write one (which I don't, due to no skill and time, unfortunately), I'd anchor a character to their canon self based on when in the canon timeline the character is in to be more believable. Like for Vol 1-3 Jaune, I'd say he would try to pursue one person and would try to softly reject another's advancement towards him if it were to happen. For Vol 4 Jaune until before Ever After, I see that pursuing someone would be far in the back of his head. Would still be possible if someone wants to write about it. For post-Ever After Jaune, I don't see him pursuing anyone for a relationship.

You think you're the only multi century old immortal who is plagued by nightmares? I became an immortal with the duty to be the guardian of a fairytale world at 19, all with the guilt of causing death to those closest to me, teenage insecurities, and being a fraud for the longest time . You can't even imagine how much effort it would take to unfuck my brain.
