  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

So I just got a warning, fair enough, not completely agreeing with it, but not enough to want to argue, but I...

I couldn't actually look at the post I was being warned for until I acknowledged the warning? I'm sure there's reasons for that, but that does seem a little unideal? Was I missing something where I could have looked at it, or is there just no way to see the post that elicits the warning until you acknowledge and accept it.

Couldn't the warning itself at least specify the text involved? Like, in this case, found it, grasped, it moving on, but in general, feels a bit... odd.

(Not sure if this is really the right place for this, but... like I said, not arguing with the warning itself, or trying to appeal it, just the inability to see the warned post before acknowledging/accepting the warning)

Acknowledging doesn't really do anything, practically, beyond notifying you about the Warning. You're not even agreeing it was a legitimate hit, just letting us know that you know you have been.

The likely reason for it blocking out being able to do anything else is so people can't just ignore the notice and go back to browsing without seeing it. Seemingly, by some people's recurring infractions, they seem to manage that anyway, but this is basically as far as we can go with regard to grabbing someone's attention without overly impacting their ability to use QQ.

If there's ever any confusion regarding which post was hit, or why, after you've Acknowledged you have been, feel free to ask any of us to clarify.
