Can we get the editor widget update to look more like this one?

I really like how small and unobtrusive it is.

Is that a rich-text editor? The site's plain-text already looks basically like that, though it's not exactly the same.

I would suggest if it is possible to have it be switchable.

I haven't had a chance to look into it, and may not for a little while. If it's just a different addon, then it'll probably work assuming it's publicly available.

It's possible it's tied in with something more complicated, like the XF 2 upgrade (have SB/SV finalized that yet?), in which case it'd be harder to manage.

SV / SB have had this editor for over a year -- at least that's when I first noticed how much I liked it -- so I think it's not XF 2 (... but I am not an expert).

It's the editor you get on SV when you disable the "TinyMCE Quattro Editor" option (in Preferences).

I think it's the only editor choice on SB, or at least I can't find the option to change it.

Is there anything I can do to help figure out what option it is?

Thanks!

I suspect the editor you're looking at is the XenForo default when TinyQuattro (which we also use) is not installed. I don't know how to get it configurable on the user level, as SB and SV apparently do. (I never use any rich-text editor anyway, so my grasp of the primitives is lacking.)

It may just require an upgrade of the TinyQuattro addon, since we're several versions behind. I'll put this on my to-do list; I may well have to schedule forum downtime to get it done.
