Still getting Alerts to Ignored Thread

I already have this thread on Ignore -

And last I looked, doing this Unwatched the thread too. The button says Watch Thread. But I'm still getting Likes from the post. So is this a bug, unintentional since Likes and Alerts are separate features, or should I just edit the post at the end to say

AIUI,, the ignore thread function is fairly basic in implementation and only really hides the ignored thread from the forum list

Feel like this might provoke contrarians into Liking anyway, even when they otherwise wouldn't have. You could always delete your posts in that thread, or edit them so they only say something like '-snip-'.

I can't, constructive criticism is its own point.

Ah well. Might as well just turn off Likes entirely.
