Time perception based quirk. Being reborn into a new world can be a weird experience especially...
Chapter 1
AN: This is just an idea I had not sure how long this will keep going. Probably a bit at least.

-xXx-

I felt warm. It was a comforting feeling like I belonged. I had everything I needed, nutrients, water, air. I could just keep sleeping. There is a beating sound. It makes me feel safe.

-xXx-

"She's kicking! I can feel it! Such an energetic girl!" I heard a male voice but it was muffled. It made the beat quieter. But I could still hear it. But what does he mean? Wait, am I in a womb?! How?! So the beat is my mothers heart.

-xXx-

"Sleep my precious, the doctor told us you're healthy. No need to worry." Said the calming voice I've come to associate with my new mother. At least that's good. And she's right I could go for a nap.

-xXx-

"Dear, how late is it?" My mother asked. "Only four am sweetheart." Answered father. "Did you check or use your quirk?" Wait what quirk? No way. She can't possibly mean. "Both, and they agreed. So don't worry." There is no way I'm in my hero academia. They have to mean something else.

-xXx-

"Honey, I need your help! The electricity went out in the middle of cooking!" Called my dad. "I'm coming, what temperature do you need?" She answered while getting up. "About 90 celsius. Can you do that." What does he want her to do! "Yeah my quirk can go a lot higher." Again. Quirk. She's talking like this really is mha.

-xXx-

I felt my body start moving. Being pushed and squeezed. For what felt like hours, days even. During that I heard grunts and screams of pain from my mother and words of encouragement from new voices. Then I saw light for the first time in a long time. I was in a hospital room. Breaking my train of thought was a slap to the lower area. "She's a healthy girl." I heard a nurse say as I cried from the pain and shock, after my birth.

At least the beat was still partially there. I thought to myself as my mother hugged me close to her chest. And with that I fell asleep in my mothers arms.

-xXx-

Gaining visuals I can connect to the voices was weird. My father had a tall bulky build and snow white hair and brown eyes. My mom was the opposite. Short and slim, black hair and blue eyes. She had weight in the important areas though. With a model-like hourglass figure. They both liked wearing sweaters, though my dad wore a suit to work and my mom had a lot of dresses, skirts and her own formal work uniform.

-xXx-

I woke up in a crib. My room was thankfully coloured normally not entirely pink. I'd hate that even if I'm a girl. It was a pleasant mix of blue, grey and white some of my favourite colours. There were some toys but they were the baby kind so blocks and plushes. No hero themed stuff that could help me confirm where or when I am. Life as a baby has been pretty boring, no signs of a quirk of my own yet, but that is to be expected. I also got a name, Shiobana Junko, first name Junko, last name Shiobana. Quite a good one and not one I recognise from my hero academia. My father has been using his quirk regularly as far as I can tell. My mother does not use hers. Her quirk sounds more dangerous considering she can heat up a meal. Well they've been good parents thus far. There is always one home to take care of me. Speaking of the devil.

"Princess, are you awake?" Asked my dad quietly while peeking into the crib. When he noticed my eyes were open he went over to grab a few of my toys. The only huge negative beside baby limbs and body is that baby food is awful in every way. The texture and taste, it's just a fucking sweetened paste, but it's from vegetables. I can't wait to get to eat normal food.

-xXx-

Good news: I'm old enough to be able to crawl. It ain't much but movement is movement and it's nice to see my parents watching me in awe and calling out my cuteness. I can also say mama and dada with a squeaky voice. My father almost fainted when I called him that, my mother just smiled. My father's weakness is just me in general. He can be stern and scary but not to me. Once he took me out on a walk in the park, a punk tried scaring me and got a talking to from my dad. He ran off soon after. Good times.

-xXx-

I got to watch some television today. And it confirmed a few things. On there was All Might in his anime superhero costume. So I know where and when now. This still feels like a dream.

-xXx-

Age update. I can now talk a bit more and I began walking. To the shock of my parents. Apparently I did it too fast. Well too bad it happens. But now I'm releasing all the energy I built up over the time I either couldn't move or could only crawl. I'm like a stampede of mice running through the house fifty times a day. Then I sleep for hours on end because being a little shit is tiring. At least my parents started to take me for walks without the stroller. And I get to play in playgrounds. Soon I'll probably have to go to a kindergarten. Also I'm pretty used to seeing fictional, or now real, characters on television.

-xXx-

My quirk showed up. Out of nowhere I could tell the time. Just like my dad. It was kind of similar to the beat. It started when I was three. I hope it's something more than this. It would be a disappointing quirk to have. My hair has grown really long too. It's at my knees at this point. Granted for an adult my hair isn't too big but for my body it is. The colour is like from an anime though. Mostly black with white patches here and there. It's really messy too, no matter how much brushing it can't stay flat. I look like a hedgehog.

I walked over to the bathroom and decided to inspect my looks. I have deep blue eyes, and skin as smooth as a baby. Which is partially true. I'll get a better idea when I'm older or after puberty… Wait I'll have to go through puberty again!

-xXx-

I'm going to kindergarten. The ladybug kindergarten specifically. I can speak well now, nothing else happened with my quirk except the usual. I decided to keep it to myself. If I get called quirkless I'll reveal it. But I want to wait as long as possible. Hopefully for a quirk development or something. Oh well, time to meet my new classmates. Some of them obviously had mutant type quirks I could see very easily.

"I'm your teacher, Muramoto Miho. How about we all introduce ourselves?" Began the teacher.

"I'm Kibe Kichiro! My quirk is Skinbreath, it allows me to breathe through my skin!" Called out a boy slightly shorter than me.

"Iwata Sakura! My quirk is Hair Control, I can move my hair however I want!" She gave a demonstration. Starting by raising it up then grabbing a nearby All Might toy and posing it in the air. Not quite hero levels but still useful.

"Alright calm down now Sakura-chan." Interrupted the teacher weakly.

"Nakamura Yuu. Bubble Body, it makes my body be like soap bubbles." Yeah I can see that.

"Suda Yoichi, I don't have one yet." He looked sad. Well he'll probably get one later. Quirkless people are rare these days.

"Yoshikawa Orochi, Long arms." Yeah pretty straight forward with that one.

"Shiobana Junko, I'm still waiting." I said pretending to be sad.

"Fujimori Azumi, my quirk is called Whisper and allows me to whisper to whoever I want." Cool but nothing too useful or noteworthy.

"Kawasaki Akemi. And I have a horn." Just a mutation then.

"Kuse Kazuou, my quirk is Balloon and it allows me to inflate myself." He did as he said and started growing rounder and bigger.

"Now children, how about you all go and play." With introductions over it was playtime. Before I could think about what I should do, someone approached me.

"You're Junko right? You have cool hair!" Well thanks for the compliment. This is the girl with the horn, what was her name?

"Thanks! Yours is nice too, Akemi-chan right?" I wasn't lying, she had beautiful short blond hair that fit her horn well.

"Yes! What is your favourite colour?" She asked innocently. With that I made my first friend.

-xXx-

"How was your first day Junko?" My dad questioned during our walk home.

"It was fun! I already made a friend! Her name is Akemi!" Gotta keep up that innocent act.

"Oh and what is she like?" My father asked, trying to keep up my excitement. He really does his best to be a good dad. I can appreciate that considering my past life. Wait how much do I actually remember. Not much now that I think about it.

"What's got you so perplexed?" Shit.

"I was just daydreaming. But anyways, she's great and she liked my hair!" I exclaimed happily.

-xXx-

I've been going to kindergarten for over a week now. My day there mostly consists of hanging out with Akemi. Today is a special day as we are going to a local shopping centre for ice cream.

"What flavour are you going to get Junko?" Asked my best friend.

"I'm not sure yet." I respond with a thoughtful expression. "Strawberry maybe. How about you?" I then followed up after a few seconds.

"Chocolate!" Well at least she knows what she likes. During our walk to the ice cream stand we were mostly uninterrupted. Only a few awws from the people walking by. And one stop. To pet a dog, of course with the owner's permission.

"What flavours do you want?" The teacher asked. The response was children yelling different flavours making it impossible to actually know what everyone wanted.

"Allright one at a time." The teacher added after seeing the initial result.

-xXx-

Everyone got their ice cream with me settling for the strawberry one. It tasted very good, like it was made from actual fresh strawberries. Our meal got interrupted by the sound of an alarm. Everyone panicked. But I looked where the noise was coming from and saw Yoichi with his mouth wide open. Looks like he awakened his quirk.

Soon after, the police arrived and the teacher had to explain what happened to them. It was later called a quirk accident and the mall went back to normal.

-xXx-

"Are you okay sweetie I heard something happened at the shopping centre you were going to today" My mother questioned after rushing towards me and hugging me. She looked me over as if scanning for injuries.

"I'm fine, it was just one of my classmates who had a quirk awakening accident. Nothing happened." I reassured her. She seemed to have calmed down, exhaling audibly.

"We'll talk during dinner." She simply said.

-xXx-

Today dad was cooking. Both of my parents were great cooks but my father specialised in japanese food. While my mom liked to cook european dishes. Today it was sushi with miso soup and green tea. Oh and rice of course. We don't eat enough to go for a full three meals and soup. He looked quite tense though. Was he worried?

"So tell us what happened." Began father as he was setting the food.

"Well we got there, pet a dog on the way with permission of course. We ate ice cream and then an alarm rang out. Everyone panicked, I noticed it was someone from my Kindergarten making that noise. He just discovered his quirk and couldn't control it." I summarise.

"Glad you're okay." Said my father, looking visibly calmer.

"Enjoy your meal." I told my family. Which they repeated.

"Remember we are going shopping tomorrow so no sleeping in." Reminded me my mom.

"I know."

-xXx-

Our time at the mall was going quite well. We picked up a blue and grey winter coat for me. It had a beautiful snowflake pattern. We also bought a pair of gloves, boots, a scarf and a beanie. All of them were just either blue, grey or white. Nothing too special. I liked that though. Right now we were picking out a couple of things for mom.

"What do you think about this one?" Asked my mother.

"It looks great on you. I picked it for a reason after all." I complemented while inspecting the flower themed dress.

"And you dear?" Mom questioned dad who was sitting next to me.

"Wha- Yes it looks great on you Honey." My father blurted out as he woke up.

"You weren't even looking?!" She accused.

"Sorry, shopping isn't my strong suite." He told her while rubbing the back of his head, embarrassed and sorry.

"I know but-" She got cut off by an alarm before we could.

"Stop you villians I won't allow you to rob this shop." Someone shouted.

"I'll stop him boys." A different, rough voice called out.

A moment later we heard a loud crack and pained scream. The building started collapsing. Everything seemed to slow down as we started to run towards the exit of the clothing shop. I saw the ceiling fall apart and a large piece of rubble fell on my parents pinning them to the ground. A wet sound was heard when it landed on them. I ran over to them trying to pick up the cement pinning them down. In the back of my head I heard the sounds of fighting. But I had priorities now.

I couldn't get them out. I'm 4. How could I lift a giant slab? Those thoughts didn't even cross my mind as I continued trying.

"Princess, I don't feel my legs, you need to run or hide." Said my father with a pained smile on his face. Tears welled up in the corners of my eyes as I kept trying. 'Lift with your legs not back' I remembered. But it still changed nothing.

"That hero got me good. I need to find someone to eat if I want to help my brothers." A voice muttered to itself growing louder as it came closer. A shadow became visible at the door.

"Hide, please!" Whispered my mother with a desperate look. I obeyed and hid under a nearby piece of rubble and a clothing rack.
Time was still slowed when the man entered the room. He was wearing rugged clothing and looked obese.

"Perfect." He licked his lips as the words left his mouth. He walked over to my parents and crouched. I had to put a hand over my mouth to mute my cries and loud breathing. I saw as the man grabbed my mothers arm and tore it off. My mom screamed in pain as he began chewing on it, breaking the bone and allowing for access to the marrow.

"Stop! STOP!" Yelled my father. The man afraid of getting caught just kicked him, snapping his neck. Stomping on my mom's head to achieve the same. He then picked her head up and drank out the crushed brain from the skull as if yolk from an egg.

I could only look in horror at what he did. Being able to spot every drop of blood falling because of my slowed perception. He then tore off all of my parents remaining arms. Unhinging his jaw and snapping them before swallowing whole. He looked even bigger than he did before. He lifted the cement slab trapping them with ease revealing bloodied backs and what were once legs.

The monster didn't seem to mind the sight as it grabbed the remainder of the legs and snapped the bones slurping up the paste. Bits of flesh and bone falling to the ground. He was consumed by the process and did it as fast as he could in a show of pure disgusting gluttony. He grabbed the carcusses of his victims and crushed them above his head drinking and showering in the blood and gore.

Police sirens could be heard in the distance. "Oh shit I need to run." He said as he dropped his meal to the floor and ran away. My parents were killed in front of me then eaten. This realisation had quite a big effect on me. So, I just stayed there staring at what was once them. Curled up in a fetal position crying.

-xXx-

AN: Not much I can say for this one. Hope you enjoyed it and see you next time. I'm almost done with the second chapter of this though. Review, follow, favourite or don't if you don't feel like it.

Chapter 2
AN: Second chapter is here! This one with less gore thankfully. Unless…

-xXx-

Police, firefighters and Paramedics arrived on scene after ten minutes of someone reporting the incident. I feel like that can't be true. I spent hours hiding behind that piece of rubble. The medics gave me a quick look over before handing me over to the police. I was driven to the station soon after. They tried to ask me questions when we were still near the mall but I didn't answer any of them. Still seeing what was left of my parents.

The first thing I asked when I arrived at the police station was if I could use the restroom. Now I'm in front of a mirror washing off tears and snot. My hair changed. It went from mostly black with white bits to the reverse. Is it because of the stress? I think I have cleaned myself up enough to return to the room.

"Are you feeling well enough to tell us what happened? We can wait if you need more time." Asked one of the police officers. At first I thought it was the shock that caused the time to slow down. But it's still slowed. Has my quirk evolved? As I thought about normal time speed again it returned to normal.

"T-the man… a-ate them." I barely get out after a period of silence as I erupt into tears again.

"Who did the man… eat?" The second one pushed, trying to be as gentle as possible.

"M-mommy and Daddy." I whimpered.

"Oh shit." Blurted out the first one from shock at what he heard. He placed a hand on his mouth in shock and regret at his own words.

"Larry!" Scolded the second officer.

"I'm sorry." He said right after he realised he said it out loud. I just kept crying.

"Do you remember how the man you saw looked?" The second one asked, still glaring at the first one.

"Yes, just give me a moment." I managed to say through my tears. As they called in someone new. They had a pen and notebook in hand. Where are they going to do a sketch? I thought they used computers for that these days.

"Sit back and relax and close your eyes, our associate here will take care of the rest." The officer said pointing at the newcomer with the drawing kit. I listen to him and lean back and close my eyes. I can't relax as much as I wish to because of the scene reappearing. But I had to if I wanted him to get caught for what he did.

"Oh you poor thing. I'm already done, you're free to leave." Said the artist. I looked down at his notebook and saw a detailed drawing of the monster. It was an almost exact replica of his face.

-xXx-

I'm moving to an orphanage. I got a week break from kindergarten and right now some people are helping me move my things to my new home. There is an awkward silence in the car, the man helping me trying to be as nice as possible to me after being told what happened.

We reached our destination and parked the car. He helped me get my suitcases from the trunk and handed them over to the staff.

"Well, best wishes kid." He told me with a small smile as he waved me goodbye.

"Shiobana Junko right?" Questioned the older orphanage employee.

"Yes." I weakly confirm.

"Let's go meet the other kids then." He changed the subject seeing how uncomfortable I was.

We walked inside, above the front door was a colourful sign that read: Sunflower Orphanage. Beautiful name. The inside looked like a toned down version of the Kindergarten. At least the first room did. With sunflower fields on the walls and colourful furniture. The one unique feature though was a grandfather clock placed against a wall. It looked antique. Dark oiled wood, white clock face, golden frame, pointers and pendulum.

"Everyone, this is Shiobana Junko, give her a warm welcome." He introduced me. They all welcomed with enthusiasm and smiles even the older ones. It felt nice after all that happened. They all quieted down as one of the older kids stepped forward.

"My name is Yazuma Akira, but you can call me Akira. I'm the oldest one here except the old man of course." He said, giving me his hand to shake and pointing at the employee that brought me in. He had spiky black hair and yellow eyes. He was dressed in a bright green and yellow blazer with a black shirt underneath. His pants were stripped in dark colours and deep, crimson red.

"Nice to meet you, Akira." I answered and shook his hand with comically large force.

"I'd love to talk with you more but I need to go or I'll be late for my job!" He exclaimed as he left. I looked at the kids, with a puzzled expression.

"Akira and a few others work multiple jobs trying to get funding for the orphanage. At least he says it's a part time job. We aren't exactly well funded." Stated a teenage girl sitting in the corner, noticing my confusion. Muttering the second sentence under her breath. She had dark purple hair and violet eyes. She was wearing a lavender hoodie and black leggings.

"Some even tried being pro heroes. But most of us don't have good enough quirks, and those that do don't have once suited for being famous and having a high income." She added with a sad look.

"I'm Akane by the way." She introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you all." I responded, bowing to everyone present.

-xXx-

Daily life in the orphanage was something that took some getting used to. I didn't have my own room or anything of that kind. Everything was just split for gender. There were also only two bathrooms, the man's and the women's. So the lines were pretty long. I spent most of my day helping the others or hanging out with the older ones.

Life there wasn't luxurious but we had each other and that helped. I also tried experimenting with my quirk. I learned I can alter my perception of time on a spectrum like temperature. Similar to my mom's quirk…

-xXx-

Today some of the children including me went on a bug collecting and observing trip to the local park. What can a girl not like bugs? They're cool and scuttle cutely. We found mostly ladybugs and beetles but the trip was quite fun. Though a boy fell from a tree trying to reach a butterfly and fell down onto a pile of branches. That cut our leave short and we headed back to Sunflower.

When we arrived Old man was talking to two people inside of his office. Someone is getting adopted I'm guessing. Well good for them, right now the priority is taking care of the injured kid. I led him to the common room and spotted Akira there. He should be able to help.

"Akira! Someone is hurt!" I called out to him, grabbing his attention.

"Go get the medkit from the medical cabinet, I'll take care of him." He told me. And I listened, running to get it. I returned to a surprising sight. Akira was distracting the boy with bright light arcs appearing in his hand while picking out the small bits of wood stuck in his patient's arms.

"Here I brought the medkit." I told him, handing it over while my eyes were glued to his hand with a curious expression.

"Oh that's just my quirk. I can't do much more with it so I use the best I can." He answered while taking the medkit and returning to his work.

-xXx-

"Remember Junko-chan went through a lot, so please be sensitive with her and don't ask questions." I heard the teacher ask, through the door.

I waited a moment then entered the room.

"Ah Junko you're here, welcome back." Miss Miramoto greeted me. All of the kids repeated her words then went back to playing. Except for Akemi. Who ran at me with arms opened wide. She tackled me into a hug and then helped me up.

"Are you okay?" She questioned with concern on her face.

"I'm fine." I told her trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"If you say so. Wanna go to the playground?" She asked with new found excitement.

"Sure!" I responded, matching her energy. We both ran outside and went on the swings. As we went back and forth we returned to our usual conversation topics.

-xXx-

"Wait here. I need to go to the restroom." I said as I jumped off the swing seat and scurried towards the building.

When I returned I saw three kids standing next to Akemi who was now on the floor. I recognized them as Azumi, Sakura and Kazuou. I hid behind one of the trees and listened to what they were saying.

"Freak!" Sakura insulted posing her hair like snakes.

"Imagine having a mutation type quirk that only makes you uglier." Kazuou mocked. Anger gathered inside me at what I was witnessing. I rushed out from behind the trees standing between them and Akemi.

"Stop!" I shouted at them. The others seemed to be ignoring us.

"Or what you'll use your quirk? Oh wait, you don't have one yet." Kazuou laughed.

"You know what else she doesn't have? Parents." Said Azumi. I lost my temper at that and punched her in the face.

Sakura tried to tie me up with her hair after she saw what I did. But I slowed down my perception of time and dodged the slow moving hair.

Kazuou tried to attack me but a yell stopped him.

"What are you doing?!" Seems someone went to get the teacher.

"She attacked us." Fake cried Azumi pointing at me from the ground.

"They started it!" I defended myself.

"All five of you inside now!" She ordered us.

-xXx-

Once we were all inside the office we all started arguing except for Akemi.

"Akemi, how about you explain what happened first." Proposed the teacher.

"Well me and Junko were playing. When she left to go to the bathroom they walked to me. After I said hi Azumi pushed me off the swing and they all started making fun of my quirk. Then Junko showed up and tried to stop her. They made fun of her too and when Azumi mentioned her parents she attacked her. They started fighting. And you stopped them." She explained on the verge of tears. That's why she was on the ground.

"Junko don't attack your classmates no matter what they say. You and the other three have to go to timeout. I don't need to explain why, right?" She scolded us.

Kazuou tried to protest but stopped when he saw the look on Miss Miramoto's face. Then he grumbled a yes and we all went to timeout. Akemi stood next to me wanting to keep me company. Something I really appreciated.

-xXx-

"Good job Junko!" Exclaimed Akane after hearing my story.

"But watch out next time so you don't get in trouble. Defending your friend was a good choice, attacking not so much. You can beat someone without throwing a single punch. A good man once taught me that. Not directly I sadly only could see recordings." She told me her voice was full of passion at the mention of the good man. And filled with sadness or disappointment at the end I couldn't quite tell.

"Who was he?" I asked gleefully.

"I'll show you when you're older." She laughed. Way to build up anticipation.

"Fine. But it better be worth it." I responded, faking anger. It only made her laugh.

-xXx-

Today I was quite excited. Akira and Akane promised to show me something when I come back from kindergarten. I ran into the orphanage latching onto Akira when I saw him.

"Someone is excited, huh?" He said as he returned my hug and lifted me up high into the air. Then he started spinning.

"Stooop!" I shouted while getting more and more dizzy. Thankfully he listened and placed me on his shoulders instead.

"Well get ready, we're going up, Akane is already waiting there." He stated as he went to a backroom and walked up a staircase. He opened the door that was at the top of the staircase. Behind it was the roof. It was the middle of winter so the starry sky was already visible, shining on the falling snow petals.

"Woaah." I took in the view in the sky and then I felt something hit my back. A snowball.

"What did you expect? It's winter after all." Said one of the children, with a wet glove.

"You're on! Put me down!" With that the battle of the roof began. Everyone threw snowballs at each other even the usually distanced Akane joined in after getting hit by a stray shot. It was a memory we all would remember fondly. Except our caretaker. He said it was irresponsible when we came back with soaked clothes. He did have a smile on his face though.

-xXx-

"Miss Miramoto?" I approached my teacher.

"What's the matter Junko?" She asked looking over from her newspaper.

"I think I have a quirk now." I said quietly.

"That's great news! Do you want me to contact a doctor so you can catalogue it?" She exclaimed happily.

"Yes, if you have time!" I responded with more energy.

"It's no problem sweetie." She picked up her phone and dialed a number.

-xXx-

"Can you describe it to me and when it first appeared?" The old doctor asked.

"Well it first appeared when… my parents were killed. Everything slowed down to a crawl and I thought it was just because of shock. But when I remembered it the same thing happened. Then I tried doing the opposite and everything sped up." I explain, taking a deep breath when mentioning my parents.

"It seems like a combination of your parents' quirks with a small mutation. What do you want to call it?" That was a hard question. One I wasn't sure about. I even asked my family for ideas. There was one I really liked. Courtesy of Akane.

-xXx-

"Timelord!" One of the kids my age said. I thought for a bit then shook my head.

"Tick Tock." Exclaimed Akira after five minutes of silence. He was met with laughter from the children.

"You come up with a better idea then!" He yelled at no one in particular. Then a loud sound came from the clock showing it's midnight.

"I have a better idea actually." Claimed Akane.

"What is it then?" Questioned Akira. She pointed at the clock that signaled midnight a moment ago.

"Grandfather Clock, a four way reference." She stated smugly.

"Four?" I asked, confused.

"Well it's time related, we have one and the other two I'll explain when you grow up." She had a slight blush on her face when she mentioned the other two.

"I like it." I nodded my head while trying out the name in my head.

-xXx-

"Very well it's quite a unique name." He noted.

-xXx-

It was time for my graduation. I met up with Akemi near the rest of the class as we waited for our families to arrive. I saw the door open and three people walked in. The old man, Akira and Akane. I greeted them with a wave then went back to my conversation with Akemi.

"I like your dress!" I commented on her green dress that looked custom made. The bottom barely not touching the floor.

"I like yours too!" She responded. Mine was only to my knees. A dark blue colour with grey accents. For example the shoulder straps.

-xXx-

As we performed our dance I saw the old man crying. The other two just looked proud.
I managed to not mess up our routine thanks to using my quirk. I had trouble keeping up with it's pace so I gave myself a little more time to think.

We finished with a bow and the small crowd erupted with clapping and such. I looked at Miss Miramoto to see tears welling up in her.

-xXx-

I said my goodbyes to everyone and exchanged numbers with Akemi. I wanted to keep in contact after all. During our walk back I had time to think about my time there as a whole.

Our teacher was a lovely black woman who wasn't like the teachers from the anime. To her your quirk didn't matter and she punished everyone equally. Never bending to puppy eyes or arguments. She was a great teacher who I'm thankful taught me. Now I hope middle school will be the same.

-xXx-

My new class was composed of the same people as I had in kindergarten. I went to a small public school not wanting to put pressure on the orphanage and not needing a great level of education to achieve the goal I have set up for myself. Make it to UA's class 1A and get famous enough to support the orphanage and education for everyone in it.

The school subject proved to be not much of an issue. I spoke both english and japanese in my last life so elementary school levels of either aren't a problem. Math is a joke. The only real issue inducing ones are history and biology. But with my quirk, learning isn't a problem, slowing down my perception of time and reading a page takes a lot less time.

With my studies not being a problem I spent most of my time at school helping Akemi or just relaxing with her. No one tried to start anything so I've been having a pretty good time. After school I mostly help at the orphanage or train my quirk. I try to slow down time to a further and further degree which makes my body feel quite cold for some reason. I can't attempt to do it the other way with speeding up cause that takes way too long. I tried once and skipped the afternoon. In a few minutes of my time I was sweating buckets when I finished.

The speed up has been useful in class however. Sitting through the boring ones at four times the speed is quite a fun experience.

-xXx-

"A new villain has begun plaguing the streets of tokyo. The Neon robber the police call him has been doing various petty thefts for the past month. The criminal covers his body in bright yellow and green light, hiding his identity and enhancing his physical strength, the police suspect." A report was made through the radio. I felt a short sharp pain on my finger. I cut myself. They finally allowed me to help in the kitchen and I got distracted. I hate seeing blood. I just washed it off and went to get a band aid, hiding the cut.

AN: Chapter done. Wholesome this time. Also sorry for all the line breaks, but it's hard to write a full on childhood. Can you guess who the good man is? Or what the name references? Probably. Hope you enjoyed it! Review, follow, favourite or don't.

Chapter 3
AN: The newest chapter of Stop and Watch is here. In this one we'll have the UA enterance exam and many other things. Enjoy!

-xXx-

After actually starting to pay attention in biology class I found out that it wasn't just anime logic that made the cast able to workout effectively and such. Human bodies evolved to be able to house quirks. Basically they have increased durability and muscle growth to contain the power quirks introduced into the system. Why does that matter? Because I need to start working out.

Best place to do that without the annoyance of people in gyms staring at me? Nature. Pull up on trees, jogs and of course all of the floor exercises. Which explains why I'm running through the park right now. While listening to a gun podcast at four times the speed. Slowing down my time perception has so many uses.

Why and what is a gun podcast? Well to answer the what part. It is a podcast discussing everything firearm related. So weapon and ammunition types, newer inventions, pro heroes and what is the best on the market. Valuable knowledge for the future, I don't have a flashy quirk after all.

Now you might protest and propose martial arts of close quarters combat style weapons. To that I respond: Guns can be non lethal and I have time. I already did some of the others. This podcast is my current choice though. As I continue to push my quirk further and further I can listen through them even faster.

I have been doing research into all areas that could benefit my hero carrier. An undeniable truth is that I can't beat everyone by going in close, a ranged weapon of some sort is necessary. I also checked what kind of hero costumes are the most popular right now. The answer was… not something I liked. Oversexualised is a good descriptor. The most extreme in that regard was Midnight, the so-called 18+ hero. I struggled to find any female heroes that didn't fit that.

The one I found? Thirteen a rescue hero who wears a spacesuit because of her quirk. So that isn't something too great. I haven't gone through puberty yet. But if I don't have the 'perfect' figure after, I might encounter problems. The only thing I can do about that is workout and hope. My mom was pretty. Hopefully I'll get her looks.

-xXx-

My body now doing the thing called puberty has begun showing signs of my workouts. They look very faint which is to be expected. I'm not trying to be a bodybuilder. Akane was a great help with… everything puberty related. Giving me a surprisingly good lecture and helping out in general. My hate of blood didn't make puberty any easier.

-xXx-

"We're going out to town today." Akemi announced casually keeping up her playful walk.

"No." I responded sternly with a tired expression.

"Please!" She whipped her head around staring me dead in the eyes. On her face a begging puppy expresion. My will remained unbroken… for about a full thirty seconds.

"Fine." I said begrudgingly, sighing at her jumping from happiness at the news.

"Do you promise?" Asked me Akemi tilting her head, a nice change from the earlier puppy eyes.

"...Yes. But I need to call them to say I'm gonna be back later." I confirmed which resulted in me getting startled by a surprise hug. Guess I'm not getting to workout today.

-xXx-

"So where do you want to go first?" She asked me, holding back her excitement.

"Don't ask me, it was your idea." I answered with genuinely no idea what we should do.

"Shopping it is then!" Akemi exclaimed and grabbed my hand as she began running in her chosen direction. I managed to get my balance back from the sudden pull and followed at her pace.

We came to a stop before a fancy clothes shop. On display were a few long silk dresses, one crimson, one purple and the final one blue. Beside them layed various leather handbags from some of the high end fashion companies.

"Wow look at these dresses!" She told me after snapping out of her admiration.

"I saw them. They look nice but are way too big and expensive for us anyway." I responded realistically.

"Buying isn't the point! I mean of course we can't buy every single dress or handbag. But it doesn't change the fact that they are beautiful! Let's just keep going and I'll show you!" She explained to me, offended and ran off. I went after her, knowing that's what she wants. Akemi turned into one of the smaller alleys. It was filled with clothing shops each showing off their best on displays.

"I know the best spots, come on!" She shouted and we began our window shopping I suppose.

-xXx-

"Try this one out!" Akemi handed me over a split sleeve dark blue blouse through the fitting room curtain. I put it on and stepped out. Looking at myself in the mirror I didn't really like it. I couldn't put my finger on why but I didn't.

"Yea, not this one. I have an idea though." She told me as she went back to the clothes section. I stepped back into the fitting room and took the current one off. And waited for her return.

"This one is perfect!" She exclaimed as she passed it over to me through the curtain. It was a very similar blouse but this one had a ribbon going down from the colar and a different sleeve style, flutter sleeves they were called I think.

After putting it on and seeing it in the mirror I have to say she was right. It fit me perfectly and didn't look weird with my still developing chest.

"I was right! Anyways I wanted to get myself a handbag so let's pay and leave." Akemi informed me and we made our way towards the cashier.

"How much is that blouse?" She asked politely.

"1725 Yen." The cashier responded swiftly after pointing a scanner at me. Akemi pushed me away as I tried to move to pay.

"Thank you and goodbye." Akemi paid and dragged me out of the shop.

"Why did you pay for me?" I questioned, confused with my wallet in hand.

"You're my best friend Junko. I know you well enough to realise your financial situation. Think of this as a thank you for everything, graduation is soon after all." She confessed with a soft smile on her face.

"I… don't know what to say. Thank you but-" I managed to get out before she interrupted me.

"Don't mention it. What highschool are you planning to go to?" She changed topics with grace I never saw her have in a conversation.

"The UA hero course hopefully." I respond weakly because of my embarrassment.

"Aiming high huh? I personally wanted to go for the support course, costume making to be precise." She said with a thoughtful look. Well she was always interested in fashion it doesn't surprise me she chose a course with it in mind. But UA too?

"Well we'll most likely meet then huh? Also… I'm quite bad at drawing as you know. Would you mind helping design my costume if I get in? It could be your portfolio if they take one of those." I requested, hoping for her help. I'm hopeless when it comes to designing. She laughed at my words.

"Yeah you suck at it. And I don't mind helping you silly! We're friends and I like doing it anyway." She stated, filling me with relief.

"Thanks! Well what handbag were you considering?" I questioned as we kept walking through the alley.

-xXx-

"What type of costume are you thinking of anyway?" Akemi asked me while holding her new handbag. I didn't have much of an input in the process of choosing it but I approve of her choice.

"Well I did a lot of research and all of the most popular female costumes are you know…" I responded with an awkward expression.

"Overly sexual and or tight fitting?" She continued my train of thought.

"Yes. So I wanted to do something like that but not as embarrassing to wear." I confessed truthfully.

"I get that, so a dress or would you prefer something more practical?" She questioned with a note app open on her phone.

"Definitely not a dr-" I got interrupted by someone grabbing me into a headlock.

"Hand over money or she gets it." My captor demands from Akemi. Shit I don't know his quirk. I can't risk getting out the standard way. I need either a distraction or some way to confuse him. Well time to experiment, worst case scenario I get injured. Gathering the familiar heating sensation I associate with speeding up the time too much in my palm.

I tug on the hand holding me down and use my burning palm to squeeze my assailant's side. I take advantage of him releasing his hold and spin around transitioning into a chop to the neck. Knocking him out.

"Let's leave." I tell Akemi and drag her away.

-xXx-

"Akira do you mind if I test something on you? It won't hurt that much." I asked using the puppy eyes I learned from my best friend.

"Okay? What should I expect?" He agreed with an unsure voice.

"You'll know it when you see it." I heat up my palm the same way I did yesterday but with less power. As I touch Akira I see his eyes widen. So it does work! What if I let go? His expression remained the same for about five seconds.

"What was that?" He questioned. The effect seemed to have passed now.

"So how long do you think passed?" I answered with another question.

"A second? Maybe less." He guessed. So the effect was speeding up.

"About six actually now describe this." I corrected and placed my palm back onto his arm this time cool. After about a second I let go and awaited his response. The effect remained for the same time as before.

"More than ten. And wow that was more trippy than the previous one." He said in a confident voice.

"Six again. Well I know I can transfer my quirk to other people through touch." I noted mostly to myself. This needs more experimentation. Though Akira has suffered enough for today I believe.

-xXx-

Does it work on machines? Was the question that led me to a laundry shop. Oh and the orphanage laundry too. I approached an already working machine with a cool palm. Touching it for a second I move over to the free one. I start loading up my laundry while watching the washing machine timer. It does work. It slowed down for a moment.

I have an answer to the UA entrance exam then. I don't know what the robots are programmed to do when the test time ends. Hopefully deactivate. But this also means I can experiment without human subjects which helps a lot.

-xXx-

My phone has been quite helpful for training. I found out that I can both slow down time for me and speed it up for it. I also confirmed that I can choose how much I affect it. The temperature of my hand reflects that. Right now I'm hanging out with Akemi in the school yard.

"That was so cool! If that's how you feel each time you use your quirk my jealousy grows." She exclaimed after I gave her a dosage of both time versions per her request.

"Yeah it basically is. Also I wanted to ask you something. You know UA is quite far away so I'll need to rent an apartment. Well I thought it'd be cheaper if we… got one together?" I asked with a small blush out of embarrassment.

"You want to be roommates? With me? When will we go to UA?" She questioned with a look of disbelief.

"Yes?" I confirmed while looking away to hide my expression.

"We're going to be roommates!" She shouted and jumped at me.

"If we get in, calm down!"

-xXx-

"Hey old man, can you send an application to a high school for me?" I asked as I handed over a paper to him.

"Yeah sure. Which one are you picki- PFFFF. UA?!" He spat out his coffee when he saw the school I chose.

"Someone's aiming high." Akane mused, opening an eye, stopping her nap.

"Gotta represent the orphanage." I answered with a shrug.

"Are you sure Junko?" He questioned with a serious tone.

"Yes. If I want to achieve my dream it is the only choice." I exclaimed in a confident manner.

"Very well. Prove us proud then." He told me as he packaged the application.

"Hey as an added bonus, if you pass of course, I'll show you what I promised I would when you grew up." She whispered to me. Well now I have to pass no questions about it.

-xXx-

"Good luck on the exam, Akemi." I wished her with a determined look.

"You better not fail." She responded with a similar expression. We nodded at each other and walked off towards our exam points. I studied for the written and know how the practical works there is no need to be stressed. As I gave myself a mental pep talk I noticed a green haired protagonist walking the same way as I was. Do I save him from falling or leave the lovebirds alone? I'll just keep walking.

Sure enough the canon scene unfolded. An explosive blond yelled at poor deku and walked past. This wasn't the end of the main character's struggles though. He took a confident step forward which he followed up with tripping and nearly falling onto his face. He was saved by Uraraka though but watching his first interaction with a girl felt like he would prefer eating concrete.

-xXx-

The written exam was easy with the amount of prep I did which was a considerable number even without counting the time with my quirk's standard. I struggled more when designing my costume with Akemi. Advance fashion jargon is beyond my comprehension. I swear to God quantum physics has nothing on hero fashion in terms of complexity.

Now came time for Present Mic's explanation of the practical exam. Oh jolly do I wonder what it will be. We sat down in assigned seats. On the desk lay an ID like card about me and a print out about the exam. Battlegrounds B. Oh great, I get to be with Izuku. Suddenly the lights turned on and pointed to the front of the classroom. Illuminating the voice hero.

"WELCOME TO MY PRESENTATION! ANYBODY SAY: HEY?" Jesus he's loud. And of course he was answered with silence. Honestly Iida went too far. Deku was barely audible.

"Tough crowd. Allow me to quickly explain the entrance exam. Ready?" He yelled once more only to again be met by silence.

"Okay okay! There are three types of villains each given a point amount based on difficulty. From one to three. Your goal is to beat them and obtain the points. Remember that attacking other contestants isn't heroic and will yearn a penalty or disqualification. Any questions?" He explained and waited for a response. Well I have one but I can let hardass go first.

"I have a question!" Speaking of the devil.

"Yes?"

"On the print out there are four villain types! If this is a mistake on official UA material then it is a mockery of us as students and our expectations for the schools standards! Also you there curly green hair. Stop mumbling, it's distracting!" He really is an asshole just like I remembered.

"I was about to explain those. There is a fourth villain type worth zero points. It's purely supposed to be a distraction. Beating it is possible but avoiding it is advised. I could compare it to a thwomp from Super Mario." He elaborated. My time to shine I suppose.

"I have a question." I state calmly, raising my arm.

"What is it?"

"Could you define 'beat'? For example, does shutting them down without damaging count?" I questioned.

"Yes. If the robot ceases action it is counted. Immobilisation is another way of defeat." Ohhh that's how Mineta made it in.

"Thank you sir. Also blue block head, your question was a worse interruption than the barely audible mumbling. Stop being a dickhead." That should shut him up for a bit. The other students just looked on in shock at my words.

"With that we are done. But I'd like to teach you the school motto. Being a hero is all about surpassing. Expectations, records, limits and much more. So remember to go beyond! PLUS ULTRA!" He shouted. He had a talent for speeches even if the others don't want to admit it.

-xXx-

We arrived at the exam grounds via bus after a ten minute period to change. I took my standard workout clothes considering my costume is only a design thus far. I spotted Izuku beginning to approach Uraraka, Iida right behind him. I need to keep my time slowed for the go call.

"Can't you see the girl is getting prepared? Seriously, did you only come here to disrupt others?" Blockhead scolded, turning him around with a shoulder grab.

"I thought that was your job considering you can't leave him alone for some reason." I remarked as I walked past them both towards the gate. Before he could respond a quick 'go' shout was heard. I was the only one to react as I ran inside. Ignoring everything behind me I put as much of a speedup as possible in my palm, heating it up. After tests I confirmed I could make something think ten minutes passed in a second. Only machines though humans are more resistant.

I dodge the sluggish, to me, movements of the Pointers and tap them quickly running to the next one immediately. I managed to clear the entrance before they joined in. Thankfully I was right and the robots shut down after ten minutes. Later on I can reduce the time to not exhaust myself. For now it was still go time.

Running through the cityscapeI encountered a few examiness. Usually beating them in the race to the faux villain. Behind me I often heard confused and happy reactions to the shutdowned Pointers. They think they got points for free. Well dream on.

"Six minutes left." Announced Present Mic.

-xXx-

"Promising candidates this year." Mused Nezu happily.

"Yes but the real challenge starts now." Said All Might as he pushed down a red button. Activating the Zero Pointers.

"Who's the girl that just taps them?" Asked Midnight.

"Junko Shiobana. Her quirk is called 'Grandfather Clock' it allows her to change her perception of time. I'm guessing she figured out how to use it on others." Cementos answered.

"They were programmed to shut down after the test ends. So I suppose that's one way to go about it." Ectoplasm explained.

-xXx-

Everyone panicked when the Zero Pointers emerged. And I understand why. They were massive. Unreasonably so.

"Two minutes left." Present Mic told us. I ran towards my next target but then I saw...

"Mom?" I whispered as I ran towards her form trapped under the rubble. I'm not about to lose her again! I'm strong enough this time. Right? I managed to get her out and that is when the illusion shattered. I looked up and saw the now falling Zero Pointer.

"Lift me up with your quirk, I'll catch him." I said when I remembered where I was, suppressing my emotions. She nodded and did exactly what I wanted. I caught the flailing through the air body of Izuku in a princess hold. I looked at Uraraka who got my message and released the effect of her quirk.

I landed and gently put him on the ground. The exam was over. I just walked off with a blank expression as I waited for the exam to end. Then I saw Iida, remembering his thoughts from the anime I felt a need to say something.

"Ten times the hero you are blockhead." I told him my voice filled with venom. Then I kept walking and stopped near the biggest group leaning on a building. The bus that brought us back arrived a moment later.

-xXx-

When I arrived at Sunflower I collapsed to the floor in the bathroom and started crying. Akane apparently worried after I walked in and ignored everything and went after me to the restroom. She rushed to me and hugged me as I kept crying.

"What happened?" She asked me.

"I thought I saved her. But it wasn't her! I still remember it!" I confessed as my cry grew uglier.

"Who did you think you saved?" She questioned quietly.

"Mom…" I muttered.

"Oh… You couldn't have helped her or your father. You were four dammit! No one your age should have to witness that so why what could anyone your age do to help? Nothing. What matters is that your parents knew you were safe and that you saved someone!" She calmed me down and started caressing my hair. We stayed in the bathroom for a few minutes and she promised to tell no one about it.

-xXx-

"The results are here Junko!" Shouted the caretaker. I rushed towards him and grabbed the letter.

"Open it!" Told me Akira. And I listened to the hologram. As it began playing everyone gathered.

"I am here! As a projection!" Greeted All Might. All of the children looked on in glee.

"I will be working as a UA teacher starting this year! Junko Shiobana you gained an impressive fifty villain points! That alone would put you at one of the highest rankings! But there is more!" He exclaimed as he played the Uraraka video. This time she also asked if I needed points. Then Present Mic responded with 'They don't need them'.

"What hero school would we be if we didn't reward such behaviour!" He played a video of me saving them both.

"Rescue points! Awarded by a panel of judges, who are teachers here at UA! Izuku Midoriya 60 rescue points, Ochako Uraraka 35, Junko Shiobana 50! You all pass! Your astounding total of 100 points places you at first place! Congratulations!" He announced as the hologram ended.

"Wow Junko nee-san!" The children showed their amazement.

"Well damn, we raised a genius!" The Old man yelled.

"Good job!" Congratulated me, Akira.

"Damn I'll have to keep my word." Said Akane. Then my phone rang; Akemi.

"Did you pass?" I heard immediately as I answered.

"You first."

"I did!"

"Me too!"

-xXx-

AN: End of chapter. Sorry for the longer wait! Hope you enjoyed it! Review, follow, favourite or don't!

Chapter 4
AN: This one again! Why? No idea. Just go along with it. Enjoy the chapter!

-xXx-

"Well I'm going to be moving to the apartament we got near the school soon. But I promise I'll be visiting!" I announced to the orphanage.

"We know you will. After all, you declined any and all adoption attempts. Just take good care of yourself and do us proud!" Old man answered. The children seemed to agree and all ran over to me. After I became one of the elders I became a bit of a pillar for the kids, ready to help no matter what's the problem. I'm trying to give back for being raised here.

"Remember you are welcome here whenever. Look at you all grown up now! I still remember when we first met you. I taught you how to do chores and first aid. You couldn't even tie a bandage properly when you were younger." Told me Akira as he ruffled my spiky hair. I managed to slip away from his hand.

"I'll be seeing you all later!" I said my goodbyes and exited Sunflower. Taking my first step towards a successful hero career.

"Where do you think you're going?" I heard a female voice behind me and felt an arm over my shoulder. I turned around and saw it was a familiar face, one that was missing from the orphanage earlier.

"Come on, let's go sit down, I gotta keep my promise after all." Akane said as she led me to a bench nearby.

"Prepare because this will feel really weird." She warned me as she touched my shoulder again.

-xXx-

The place I was in changed. I was now walking down the stairs in what seemed to be an old style cabaret. One thing was weird about my sight though. It was narrow, limited as if I only had one eye or wore some kind of eyepatch. I wasn't in control of the body, I was just a viewer.

I continued walking through the completely silent club. I then stopped behind a man, he was looking down at a waiter lying on the floor. A fight happened?

"Sir. Your patronage here is very much appreciated. Thank you very much." The body I occupied expressed its gratitude and bowed slightly. What is happening here?

"The hell are you? A bouncer or something?" Asked the man with his attention now on me. He sounds drunk.

"A common mistake. But, a mistake nonetheless." I responded in a calm voice.

"Yeah? Then what the hell are you?" He questioned in an annoyed tone.

"My apologies. I am the manager of this cabaret. My name is Majima." I introduced myself as I handed over a business card.

"You're the manager? What, they got yakuza running this place?" The man laughed.

"I apologise for the crude impression I give. Despite appearances, I am assuredly a civilian. But I digress sir. I must ask that you refrain from touching and acts of violence while you are our guest." I corrected politely.

"If it bothers you that much, why don't you try stopping me by force, huh?!" Or is that face of yours just for show?" He exclaimed and kicked a seat. Correction: he is very drunk.

"I'm afraid I can't do that sir. "The customer is king," you see." I stated in response.

"Oh? Quite a policy you got there." He walked over to the table and grabbed a bottle of champagne.

"Real impressive. I'm a big fan. Here this one is my treat. Drink up, friend." I felt the cold liquid run down my face as I stood there unwavering. The waiter gasped in surprise at the customer pouring it on my head, as did everyone else actually.

"Well? How do you like your king now?" He mocked.

"Very kind of you, sir. I had always said I love this brand so much, I wish I could bathe in it. You made a dream come true!" I responded, wiping my face with my hand.

"Smug prick… You got some balls!" He yelled and took a swing at me with the bottle. I just took one step back, maintaining my professional posture. This swinging continued for two more which I dodged with the same ease as the first. I was now positioned facing the crowd with my back to the stage.

"Sir, I must repeat my earlier request. Perhaps you've had enough fun for one evening? If you insist on interrupting our business here any further-" I managed to say before I was rudely cut off.

"Then you'll do what, huh?!" He shouted at me.

"If that's how you want it…" I muttered under my breath.

"Boys! Gimme one with a beat!" The band listened and began playing an energetic tune.

"Wha-" This time I was the one that interrupted.

"If you insist that I overstep my station, sir, then I, Majima, shall dance with you. I will not however raise a hand against you. After all, "the customer is king."" I told him with a small smile.

"You still going on with that? Smartass bastard!" He exclaimed as he raised his arms, ready to fight.

"It's showtime!" I announced posing to the crowd. The drunk threw his punch which I dodged to the side with ease.

"Right here, sir." I informed him by touching his shoulder. This seemed to scare him as run off soon after noticing. His punches are extremely flimsy. Mostly because of him being drunk so dodging isn't really a difficulty. It's about making it look good.

"Customer is king right?!" He threw another punch. The outcome was about the same as you expect.

"I think you had enough, sir." I reprimand him. He looks tired, probably only a couple of punches left. Another attack, this time accompanied by a grunt.

"Would you like a towel, sir?" I questioned with a hot towel in hand.

"The hell is with you?" He charged me only to fall over and hit the table he was sitting at before. He grabbed the ice pick and attempted the same.

"You little! Stop screwing with me!" I grabbed his arm and threw him over my shoulder, taking the weapon out of his loose hold.

"For your own safety, I'll hold onto this." I said as the crowd began clapping. Two waiters grabbed him intent on calling the cops, the clients approved.

"Your attention, please! As you've seen, this gentleman violated several cabret rules and has caused a disturbance for you all. We would be justified to turn him in to the police, yes. However, I ask for your compassion." My speech seemed to have caused great confusion. So I decided to follow up immediately.

"If the gentleman were given over to the police, he would lose the social standing a lifetime of hard work has built up. Is that not too harsh a punishment for a single evening's misguided actions?" I added. They seemed to understand what I meant, so I hit them with the finisher.

"Instead, I would ask the gentleman a favour."

"Me?" The now calm drunk questioned.

"Yes. As is the custom in the night life I ask that you make amends for soured wine with fresh wine. That you cover this evening's tab for the club, and treat everyone here to a night's libations. As head of sales for Soten Pharmaceuticals HQ, I imagine your annual entertainment budget clears one hundred million with ease." I showed him his business card.

"Wait, that's my… When did you?" He questioned as I got on my knees in a begging-like position.

"I do not wish to see a customer made a criminal. However, I must also ensure that the other patrons enjoy themselves. I understand this is a selfish request. But, please, will you grant me this indulgence?" Guilt him into it, I see.

"Yeah, all right! If everyone is okay with it I'd like you to let me buy for you all tonight! Would that be enough to make it up to you guys?!" He shouted out.

"My sincere thanks." I flipped around to face the crowd. "You have all heard this gentleman's appeal. Ladies and gentleman, what say you?" They began clapping again, louder than before. I stood up.

"My humblest thanks! I am deeply touched by the generosity of your hearts tonight. If you would, a round of applause for the gentleman's courage! And now, please continue to enjoy your evening!" I bowed and started walking away.

"Manager of the Grand Cabaret: Majima Goro! Sotenbori's own lord of the night!" A smirk appeared on my face as I heard a customer say that.

-xXx-

"How was it?" Asked me Akane as I snapped back to reality.

"Weird, but also cool?" I answered honestly.

"Yeah it's always like that. That was my great great great grandfather, Majima Goro. I used my quirk on you to allow you to see that." She explained.

"Wait, so your full name is Akane Majima? And can you elaborate on the quirk?" I questioned.

"Yeah. My quirk is called bloodline memory. It is hereditary and allows me to see visions of my ancestors' lives, and show them to others too. I trust you know what the references for your quirk were?" She added. And ooh shit I do now.

"I'm guessing the cabaret name and maybe grandfather?" She nodded at my guesses. "And you were right, you could win a fight without throwing a punch, but you need to grapple instead." I joked.

"You know what I meant!" She shouted in fake annoyance.

"I gotta go or I'll be late." I waved her goodbye and started running towards the metro that will take me near UA.

-xXx-

1A classroom, where are you! I'm about to be late! Stupid villains slowing down public transport! Ah here it is with the giant door. Oh god Midoriya is standing right there I'll just walk past, go for the cold bitch act.

"Ah it's you." I heard Iida say as I got closer to the classroom. I quickly walk by him, give a small wave to everyone and sit down at one of the empty desks.

"Welcome! I'm from Somei private aca-" The blockhead started marching towards the green haired boy.

"I heard! I'm Midoriya. Nice to meet you Iida." He interjected.

"Midoriya, you understood that there was something more to the exam, correct? I didn't know and I judged you wrongly. I say this saddened but you're better than me." He questioned.

"Told ya blockhead!" I shouted to him. Before he could answer the beam of sunshine that was Uraraka entered the classroom.

"Oh curly hair! You passed like Present Mic said! I'm not surprised that punch was amazing! I wonder if there will be a ceremony and what teacher we'll have." She just keeps going.

"Leave if you came here to make friends." Said a yellow sleeping back that appeared at the entrance to the class.

"This is the hero course. Quieting down took you a whole eight seconds. We don't waste time here. I'm Aizawa Shouta, your homeroom teacher. Nice to meet you." He introduced himself as he left the sleeping bag, to everyone's shock.

"Put on your gym clothes, we're going outside." He announced.

-xXx-

"A quirk apprehension test?!" The class shouted in surprise.

"What about the start of the year ceremony and everything else?" Questioned Uraraka.

"If you want to be heros there is no time for such trivial things. UA gives us the freedom to teach how we want to, it's unique in that way." He answered lazily.

"You had tests like these in elementary school, right? But quirks were forbidden. It's required that the results don't use tests with quirk usage. Which is stupid. I swear they have no idea what they're doing with education. Shiobana, you had the best results on the entrance exam. What was your record in ball throwing?" Eraserhead asked. Oh shit I did get first place.

"Seventy eight meters." The response I received were shocked stares. What can't a girl work out?

"Now try with your quirk." I mean I used it then too to make my movements precise. I don't think I could do much else. Unless… Wait, am I about to pull an Izuku? I walked forward to the circle and grabbed a ball.

"You can do anything you want if you stay inside the circle. Quickly, full force." He informed me. Well right now I can change mine or others' perception of time. I start stretching as I continue to think. Could I change how fucking physics percieves the ball? How would I even go about that? Do the same I usually do but in reverse? What if I coat the ball in the effect instead of using it on it? That could work.

I move to the back of the ring. Focus on coating the ball in heat. Jump forward and throw. The ball goes way faster than it did ever before. My classmates look on in shock. I await the result wondering how it affected the ball's flight.

"Eighty three meters." He stated. So it only affected speed not distance?

"What? How! The ball was going so fast! It was there instantly!" Izuku blurted out loud.

"Care to explain that one?" Asked me Aizawa.

"I actually tried that for the first time ever? Can I throw one more ball but a shorter distance to confirm my theory?" I questioned. I have an idea of what happened but I need to make sure.

"Fine, we're supposed to teach better use of quirks here after all." I grabbed the ball and this time coated it in the coldness. I threw it lightly and the result was what I expected. The ball was slowly floating through the air.

"I only affect how fast it goes, the ball itself will arrive at the destination it would normally." I state confidently. Well that's something I'll need to experiment with.

"Wow! That's so cool! This will be awesome!" Exclaimed Ashido. Big mistake.

"This will be fun? You have three years to become heroes. And this is how you want to do this? From now on the person that gets the lowest score overall will be expelled." He said, shocking everyone except me. With this new ability I have an upper hand for all the tests.

"You can't do that! That's unfair!" Disapproved the invisible girl.

"Catastrophes, villains and whatever else all of those are unfair so get used to it. Welcome to UA's hero course where the teacher can do whatever they want." He responded with a scary face.

"Now let's begin with the fifty meter dash. I'll be calling in students in pairs. First Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui." Those two did about as expected, really well.

"Mina Ashido and Junko Shiobana." Oh shit I'm next, yeah laser boy is missing. Well time to try out the new trick.

"Ready, steady, GO!" Called the robot. My athlete technique and workout plus speed coating won me this one. 3.59 seconds, a good time. It did tire me out though. The coating thing is something I'll need to train a lot.

"Katsuki Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya." Well, the green boy got destroyed here. Not much of a surprise.

"Fumikage Tokoyami and Haruto Aizawa." The teacher showed a moment of surprise at the last name but hid it right after. This one is new. The familiar bird headed boy stepped towards the starting line. The other person had long black and yellow hair, black eyes and a slim figure. He looked really similar to our teacher. He ran normally, if a bit slowly. Not very athletic. The rest were the same old. It seems we replaced the tape boy and laser guy.

-xXx-

Second test, grip strength. I got sixty kg's. So only a bit better than Midoriya. Shoji destroyed the competition with his five hundred and forty. I'm not really worried to be honest though. Not that I'm letting my calmness show, I maintain my cold bitch like face.

Next test, standing long jump. For this one I had no tricks. A few people cleared the sandbox, I didn't. Repeated side steps. Used the same thing I did for the sprint. Got a respectable result, nowhere near Mineta though.

Main event time. Ball toss. Uraraka flexed on everyone with her infinity, Bakugou did the same with his 700 meters. Now it was Izuku's time to shine. He looked in shock at his hand after his quirk didn't activate.

"I erased your quirk. The entrance exam was unreasonable. To let someone like you attend. You can't even control your quirk. Are you planning to knock yourself out like that during missions? I give you one last chance, don't waste it." He scolded him.

"Don't make me think I was wrong about you broccoli boy." I told him, keeping up my attitude. This seemed to have motivated him and he performed his finger trick.

"I can still move sensei!" The broccoli told him with a determined expression.

"705 meters. Good job, you might be worth something." Eraserhead responded with a smirk.

"DEKU! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT YOU BASTARD!" Katsuki rushed at the boy with an exploding hand extended forward. Our teacher caught him on the way.

"These are really stiff!" Exclaimed the now trapped firecracker.

"Special capture tape interwoven with steel wires and carbon fibers. Don't attack other students. Jesus, my eyes hurt from overusing my quirk." He explained as he let the boy go. The next test was the long distance run. Momo won this one with her scooter. I took second place because I used to running for a long time. Next were seated toe touches. I touched my toes each time and took second place. The frog quirked girl took the first one with ease. Then where the sit ups this one I won beating out even Kirishima.

"All right time for results." He showed us a graph with each place.

1. Momo Yaoyorozu
2. Shoto Todoroki

"Oh, by the way I was lying about expulsion. I just wanted you to give it your all." Aizawa dropped a bombshell, to them at least. Also Haruto Aizawa is still a mystery to me. I don't think he used his quirk during the test.

"Of course, it was obvious right from the start that was the case." Quiped Momo.

"It wasn't a lie. If sensei thought we under performed he was ready to throw us out, like his entire class last year." Now this was the real bombshell. No one was safe.

"Bravo. You did your research. I was ready to expel all of you." Congratulated Aizawa with a scary smirk.

"We're done here. In class is the schedule. Midoriya go to the nurse and get yourself patched up. Tomorrow the real school year starts, prepare for that." He announced as he left.

"Good job broccoli boy, but I expect better next time." I gave him a pat on the back and left.

AN: Chapter is over! Who is Haruto and what's his deal? You'll find out next time. Hope you enjoyed this one! Review, follow, favourite or don't!

Chapter 5
AN: Another one. Also here's a better explanation of Junko's quirks new ability. It basically does what would happen normally but speeds up or slows down the process, for example you run from A to B, you'll still run there but it will happen faster, like a 2x video. Yeah, have fun reading.

I felt a hand on my arm. Having learned my lesson from my shopping trip with Akemi, I grabbed it and threw the offender over my shoulder. Using the leverage and my own strength to do so. Oh shit. I thought to myself as I saw the green blur pass before me.

"Sorry!" I apologised, embarrassed as I released my hold on his arm. Oh and my foot too.

"No! It's my fault I shouldn't have touched you!" The boy responded quickly as he got up with a face resembling a tomato. Wow he's bad at talking to girls.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing assaulting another student!" Shouted the bane of my existence, otherwise known as Tenya Iida.

"I do what I want to, blockhead." I remarked, with an angered smirk.

"It's fine Iida-kun, it was my fault. But how did you throw me over your head? Did you use your quirk…" And he began mumbling. Well I know a cure for that. I smack him on the back, this seems to wake him up.

"No. I just work out. Also you need to stop mumbling. It annoys blockhead." I answered as I regained his attention. This made them look at me in a small shock for a few seconds. Kids these days, so quirk dependent.

"You're very disrespectful." Iida scolded me, breaking the silence.

"And?" I laughed in his face. This seemed to annoy him more but he couldn't start his lecture, because someone new showed up.

"Ooooi! Wait for me! You're going to the station right?" Yelled Uraraka behind us. I slowed down my walk and shot a smug glance at the future Ingenium.

"No, I'm headed near there though." I mused as the brunette caught up with us.

"Do you live nearby?" She asked, curious.

"Kind of, I rented a place with a friend, because we both lived far away." I explained casually.

"Does your friend go to UA too?" She pressed further.

"Yeah, not the hero course though, the support one. She makes costumes." I answered with a smile as we made our way through the city.

"How do you have enough money for that? Did your parents pay for it?" She questioned innocently. Wrong person to ask that question.

"Kinda. But, I gotta go now though!" I hastily waved them goodbye and left. Before they could answer I sped up, I can take a different route.

"She was really in a hurry. Do you think she forgot something?" I asked my two remaining travel companions.

"I don't know. But I'm happy she left, she's way too disrespectful." Mused Iida.

"That's mean!" I scolded him.

"She literally attacked Izuku!" He refuted.

"Who's Izuku?" I questioned, confused.

"I am, Izuku Midoriya." Muttered Deku as he raised his hand.

"I thought your name was Deku! That blonde, uh Bakugou, calls you that." I responded.

"Kachan made that up as an insult." He confessed.

"I thought it was positive. Like, Do your best, you know!" I answered.

"You can call me Deku then!"

"What?!" His response broke Iida's calm demeanor.

-xXx-
Pov change woosh

"Akemi?" I called out into the living room.

I opened the door to the apartament and saw no one there. As expected their classes probably go on longer than one test. What to do now then? I might as well get dinner ready then I need to actually look for a job to pay for this place. Let's start off with dinner though. What should I cook? Ramen, the best food. That's non arguable by the way.

I start off with my pork. I submerge it in water and put it in a pressure cooker for ten minutes. I use a small speed up with my quirk on it, which reduces the cooking time to about two minutes. Then I cut up an onion and a ginger root, putting both into a marinating bag. Then I pour in soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and garlic. I prepare a corn starch, flour mixture as the meat is finishing cooking.

I took it out, put it in the marinade and massaged the content into it. I chopped the meat and began lightly coating it in the powder mixture and put it onto a pan with oil. I move the pork around with a fork trying to get the outside of it crispy. I take them off heat and let it rest.

I began chopping scallions for both stock and topping. I saute some bean sprouts in chilli flake olive oil, adding salt. Now I move onto actually making the broth. I add chilli pepper flakes, whole leaks, onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and the chicken bones into a pot. Then I cover everything in water. Using my quirk again to reduce it to a manageable time.

While that's getting done I move onto noodles. I use the instant ramen ones because I can't actually make noodles myself, here at least. I throw them into boiling water with some added soy sauce. I use tongs to help the noodles separate and cook faster. I know usually people prefer to cook the noodles in the broth, but I have a tight schedule and like soy sauce, fight me.

Now it's time for the assembly. But before that I put away the bean sprouts and crack an egg on the same oil instead adding salt and pepper before it can set.

I use the tongs to put the noodles into a bowl, then pour in a strained broth. I add the meat, scallions and the bean sprouts. I place the barely set egg on top. I move my bowl aside as I prepare another, this time eggless, because Akemi has shitty taste.

Now it's time to eat. I start off with the delicious still partially runny egg. The yolk made its way down the white straight into the liquid below as well as the vegetables and meat. Shit I forgot lemon! I quickly squeeze the juice into both bowls. Now I can eat! The new use of my quirk is just so useful. I might be able to sleep less!

"Anyone home?" I heard a voice at the front door.

"Yeah, come to the kitchen! You might get to eat it hot!" I yelled back. Now without the interruptions I can move on to my favourite part, consumption.

"You know how to make ramen? Also, how long ago did you get here?" She asked as if it was impossible.

"Yes, I do! Yours is without an egg because you said you don't like it. Oh and I came back about ten minutes ago." I grumbled as I returned to my meal. Man the egg had a great taste thanks to the chilli oil. The same goes for everything else to be honest. Man, I'm good at cooking.

"Aww! You remembered! Also, how the heck did you make ramen in ten minutes?!" She mocked as she sat down next to me and dug into her own bowl. I saw her eyes widen after the first sip.

"I used my quirk, found a new use for it today." I bragged. Her eyes shifted from her meal and narrowed down on me in a show of annoyance. Seconds after they returned to her meal.

"Thish ish shoo gooh!" She said with her mouth stuffed full of noodles.

"I told you I know how to cook, don't know why it's such a shock. How was your first day?" I expressed how offended I was.

"We went to the opening ceremony, then we were shown around the workshops. They told us the dos and don'ts, you know the boring stuff. But UA's equipment is insane. What about you? I couldn't find your class at the ceremony." So there was a ceremony. Good to know. I'm glad she's happy with the equipment.

"Our teacher skipped it and had us do a quirk apprehension test. Your basic 8 PE elementary school tests but we could use quirks. I got fourth out of twenty. So pretty good." I told her as I continued eating.

"Did you get costumes?" She asked, putting down her empty bowl.

"No, I think that's tomorrow." I respond as I begin looking through nearby job offers on my phone, now that I finished eating. Job apps are comfortable. I just put in my name, school and prefered locations. And possible employers show up thanks to the app, I get a nice and to the point list.

"I hope they didn't mess up my project! I worked hours on that baby. Specified materials and everything!" She ranted.

"I hope so too, I'd hate to have embarrassing clothes because they took 'creative liberties'." I agreed sincerely.

"Also, do you want to sit together at lunch?" I questioned, trying to come off as nonchalant.

"Yeah, sure!" She responded, enthusiastically. Oh this is a pretty good offer. Let me ask if it's open.

'Hello, is this offer still available?'

'Yes, we're still looking for employees.'

'Would after school times work for you?'

'Yeah, that sounds good.'

'When could I start?'

'As soon as possible.'

"I gotta go!" I told Akemi as I rushed out of the apartament headed for the metro station, my new place of employment.

I ran down the stairs with a light coating of my quirk covering me to start training my new ability, the smaller increase in speed isn't as tiring but works well for consistency. I found myself on the street. Thankfully this is Japan and it's filled with people not cars, so I just make my way towards my target.

I jump down the stairs and run through the metro platform to the shop section. I pass a smoothie stand as well as a fancy chocolate place before I arrive at my destination, the flower shop. Not anything too cool but a nice place to work at, with all the colours and smells.

"Hello? I'm here for the job offer, I messaged about it like five minutes ago." I called out into the small shop.

"Ah? Yes, Junko-chan, right?" A gentle elderly voice resounded out from the back room.

"Yes! Where do I start?" I asked eagerly. I need a good reputation after all!

"Come into the backroom, I'll show you what you'll need to do." She told me. I listened and entered the back room. It was surprisingly big compared to the small store front. It was filled with various flowers, still planted. It seems like my boss makes the flowers herself. I walked over to her and saw a flower glow surrounded in green glitter as it began growing faster, changing colours on a whim.

"Is that your quirk, ma'am?" I questioned quietly, trying to not disturb her as she works. I waited a moment, watching her work on the flower changing it into an Anemone, I think. It was bigger than normal, about the size of my palm. The petals were a beautiful blue colour, she knew what she was doing.

"Yes, here. This one's for you." She grabbed the Anemone and put it in my hair.

"Thank you!" I expressed my gratitude as I saw the flower sitting in my hair, in a water reflection.

"Now let's talk about your work here. You'll be mostly just out in the front making bouquets for customers. If I need you back here I'll call out. The pay is what was listed." She quickly explained.

"Of course!" I made my way to the front and sat down awaiting customers.

-xXx-

"How was work?" Asked me Akemi as I entered the apartment.

"Tiring, but nice. I like flowers, I found out." I walked in and collapsed on the couch.

"I can see that." She seemed amused as she looked at the flower in my hair. I kept it, it was a gift after all.

"It suits you. And would suit your costume too." She mused further after my lack of response.

"I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." I walked off to the bedroom.

-xXx-

Our classes started off with standard ones like english in the morning. For these I decided to stay quiet unless called and just ace the tests. After that was the lunch break. I seperated from my class before I could get dragged to a table with blockhead, to meet Akemi. I did get a few weird looks for the flower. But I use it to train. I slowed it down as much as possible.

We sat at a table joined by one more person. Someone I recognised from the show. Hatsume Mei. Of course she and Akemi have been friends since the first day. I chose a dish that made me cry, both because of the spiciness and the context behind it. Mapo Tofu.

"Junko, this is Mei, support course. Mei, this is Junko, hero course." She introduced me.

"Nice to meet you." I say well mannered.

"What's your quirk?" She asked. Well she's direct.

"It's complicated." I answered as I began eating.

"We have the entire lunch period then!" She responded. She's not gonna step down is she? Akemi just started laughing as she watched our interaction. I glared at her with the message 'screw you' in mind.

"It's called Grandfather Clock. Well it works around time perception. It allows me to both slow time and speed it up for both me and others. Recently I was able to change how time perceives things, I suppose. I made a ball fly both faster and slower. It landed how it would normally though. I sped up cooking with it too." I exhausted myself with that explanation. I saw her face shifting into a thoughtful expression and took that chance to eat.

"That's incredibly useful!" She suddenly exclaimed.

"I know." I bragged. And then she started ranting.

"Slow down! Or do it in your head." I stopped her.

-xXx-

Now came time for the big event! Heroics classes. We all sat down. I could see the anticipation on most of their faces, even those that hid it well.

"I AM entering through the door like a normal person." We heard All Might half shout as he entered the room. A collective wow resounded through the room.

"He's really here!"

"That's the silver age costume, right?"

"This is a practical class which aims to teach you the basics of heroism through training! It also makes up most of your end year grade. The most important lesson you could call it." He explained.

"Today on the agenda! Battle training!" He yelled enthusiastically. It resulted in a mostly positive response.

"That's why, you'll need these!" He pointed at the cases sliding out of the wall.

"Costumes that fit your abilities! They're based on the suggestions you provided!" This time the response was louder and a lot more positive.

"We'll meet at ground Beta! Change quickly!" Let's hope they didn't butcher our creation, Akemi!

-xXx-

I have to admit, they didn't disappoint. The vest was perfect. It was a resistant yet flexible leather material. It was coloured blue and gray. It's basically a series of angled straps that go down as they make their way towards the middle. It has a short stand up collar and leaves a lot up to the imagination. The curves are there but in a tasteful way. And the flower looks great with it, like Akemi said.

The sneakers were a nice grey colour and were what I liked wearing but made with harder materials for combat. The only problem was the leggings. We specified flexible leggings. But of course they used a flexible leather like material that looked incredibly body tight. It was comfortable. But the way it fits… Accentuated a feature of mine. It looked good so I was willing to give it a pass.

Only a few people arrived before me. I was busy admiring my features. I stood in the middle awaiting the late students. What got my attention though was Haruto. He was wearing a sleeveless hoodie, trousers and boots. With a grey scarf and visor for accessories. Was the visor useful for something? And why sleeveless. I choose that option for the 'sex appeal' and comfort. But he doesn't need that. Maybe his quirk requires it?

"Time for battle training to begin!" Shouted All Might. Iida raised his hand right after his words. The best pro hero signaled him to go ahead.

"This is where the entrance exam took place. Will we be fighting in the city again?" He questioned. Just let him explain!

"We will be taking it two steps further. First of all we will be fighting inside as that's where most villain attacks happen. You will be divided into heroes and villains. Two versus two!" He explained. Then the rain of questions came. And I could see his annoyance grow. I feel bad for him. He took out a small booklet.

"Listen! The villains will be hiding a nuclear bomb somewhere in the building. The heroes must either catch the villains or secure the bomb in the given time. You secure a bomb by touching it. The villains must catch the heroes or protect the bomb. We will determine the teams by drawing lots." He explained and took out a box.

"Random chance?" Questioned Iida.

"Pro heroes don't get to choose who they fight with. I think that's the point." Educated Izuku.

We all drew lots and met our teammates. I got Tsuyu Asui. Not the worst option.

"The first battle will be! Midoriya Izuku and Kirishima Eijiro as the villains against Bakugou Katsuki and Sato Rikido as heroes!" All Might announced. Well Midoriya won't be having fun today! I see his pale face so I walk over to him.

"Beat his ass Broccoli boy." I whispered into his ear and walked away to watch the chaos.

Quirk note: Yoichi Suda

Name: 24 hour warning

Power: The user emits a Siren like noise if he's at a place the alarm will sound in twenty four hours later. The first use of this quirk was during a kindergarten trip to a shopping mall. The next day the alarm was sounded because of a villain attack.

Occupation: Police officer.

This is one of the kids from Junko's kindergarten. I'm sure you can connect the dots.

AN: And this chapter is over. In the next one all of the fun stuff happens. I didn't want to make the wait too long and those fights require planning so I split the chapter, sorry! The ramen is based on a 'homecook' level one from a youtube video. Hope you liked the chapter. Review, follow, favourite or don't.

Power: The user emits a Siren like noise if he's at a place the alarm will sound in twenty four hours later. The first use of this quirk was during a kindergarten trip to a shopping mall. The next day the alarm was sounded because of a villain attack.
That is so ridiculous of a quirk and so specific to circumstances he could probably never find out what it really does unless they have some really open-minded people doing the testing.

Chapter 6
AN: I'm back, this one is all about the fights so strap in. Without further ado, enjoy.

-xXx-

"Oi, one more thing." I heard someone shout behind me. Turning around I saw it was Shiobana-san. She pointed at her index finger and flicked it, smirking at me, nothing more nothing less. What is that supposed to mean? I don't have time to try and decipher it. Right now I need to worry about how we can beat Kacchan's team.

"Kirishima-kun your quirk is hardening, right? Do you think you could take Kacchan's explosions?" I asked him as we made our way towards the building we will be defending.

"You mean Bakugo, right? Then I think I can take him, his explosions are pretty manly though." He responded, seemingly pumped to fight. Crap, I should stop calling him Kacchan.

"Well, he'll ignore everything and most likely head straight for me. So the best thing we could do is that you interrupt him on his way. But what do we do with Sato-san then? Should I take care of him? But I only have two real punches before I can't keep going. Unless…" I began mumbling to myself trying to come up with a sound plan.

"Slow down dude. Let's choose a floor for the bomb, then we can start talking." He snapped me out of my train of thought.

"Let's go to the fifth floor. Gives us the most time considering Kacchan will scour every inch of each floor, looking for me. He won't care about his teammate either so you can leave Sato-san to me." I said to my teammate as we lifted the bomb and hid it in one of the rooms on the fifth floor.

"I'll stand in the hallway, you stop him once he goes for me, hide behind a corner or something. Don't pull punches. Kacchan getting caught is what our entire plan is based on." I told him, I don't want to disappoint everyone. And if Kacchan has such an obvious weakness, I need to use it.

"What kind of man pulls off sneak attacks like that!" He protested.

"A villain, which is what we are supposed to be." I answer. My words seemed to be enough to convince him I was right.

"The Hero team can now enter the building." We heard All Might shout over the intercom. And with that I braced myself for a fight. Hearing Kacchan blast his way through the first floor in a search for me still made me feel uneasy, even if that was the plan. Right now I had a moment to think about what Shiobana-san wanted to tell me.

First she pointed to her index finger. That could mean one, up or maybe just the finger. I did use my index finger for the ball throw I suppose. Then she flicked. Does she want me to do the same… Wait, that could be a solution for combat! I only use one finger if I flick instead of punching, and it should still cause damage.

"DEKU!" Shouts Kacchan. Time to fight. I bring my hands up to my face and widen my stance slightly, as if I was preparing for combat. Kacchan didn't care much as he kept using his explosions to propel him through the air at high speeds.

His flight came to a sudden halt via Kirishima-kun extending a hardened arm in his path. Air exited Kacchan's lungs as he fell to the floor. I rushed forward knowing he wouldn't remain there for long. Kirishima-kun sadly celebrated too early, and got an explosion to his face from the slowly getting up classmate.

Thankfully he was able to use his quirk before the blast hit. By the time I reached him, Kacchan was already standing, ready to fight. I watched as he lunged at me with a right hook. Knowing he always begins his fights with that exact move I was prepared with my counter.

I ran at him ramming him with my shoulder as I grabbed his attacking arm. Using the fact he lost his balance I threw him over my shoulder. Not repeating Kirishima-kun's mistake I don't let him rest on the floor and immediately follow up with a kick, sending him crashing against the wall.

"Bakugo, I told you not to rush ahead!" Shouted a new voice, Sato.

"Kirishima-kun, take care of Sato, I have Kacchan covered!" I yelled, putting my full trust in my teammate. By the time I turned back around I was welcomed by Kacchan performing a full on roundhouse kick propelled by his quirk. I didn't have much time to respond so I ducked underneath it and pushed his leg up.

The sudden loss of balance didn't prevent him from attempting another swing though. This one I couldn't dodge. The force behind the explosion sent me crashing into a wall. When I came to my senses I saw Kacchan standing above me, his hands crackling.

"Learn your place, Deku!" He shouted. Thank god he decided to waste his chance. I use my legs to sweep his, making him fall over and run away. I just need to play for time after all. As he got up I saw one of his grenade shaped gauntlets lit up red.

"Oh, I'm full already it seems! These gauntlets store up my sweat, which you know is nitroglycerin. I don't think I need to explain what will happen if I pull the pin!" He announced as he steadied his arm. I looked behind me and saw Kirishima and Sato fighting. If I dodged, Kirishima would take the hit, we can't afford that. Please let this work.

I steadied my own arm mimicking Kacchan, preparing to flick with my middle finger. Kacchan pulled the pin, in response I filled my finger with One for All and unleashed a blast of air. The two attacks collided in the middle. Mine being the weaker of the two dispersed soon after contact, but it did it's job and weakened the explosion to a harmless level. The impact of the two's meeting did destroy the halway, revealing the bomb's position.

"If my body can't handle the full power of my quirk yet, I'll just use a portion of it! You think of the name Deku as an insult, but from now on it's the name of a hope inspiring Hero!" I yelled as I ran at the shellshocked Kacchan.

-xXx-

Midoriya my boy, I was ready to call the match when Bakugo aimed his gauntlet at you. But the look of determination on your face stopped me. You will make a great hero one day.

"Woah." Was the collective response of most of the class. The only students with other expressions were young Todoroki and Shiobana. Todoroki had an irritated and shocked expression, a mix of the two I suppose. It was the other that confused me the most. Shiobana wore a proud and smug smile.

Taking advantage of his opponent's shock, my successor ran at him with capture tape in hand. He tries to defend with a blast from his left arm but Midoriya just dodges it and wraps the tape around it. Running behind him with the arm still hooked he grabs the other one as well, successfully restraining him.

"Bakugo of the hero team has been captured by the villains!" I say over the intercom. After catching Bakugo, restraining Sato was easy, he was already tired and it was a two versus one.

"With both heroes caught, villain team wins!" I exclaimed.

"Good job, broccoli boy. Glad you got the hint." I walked over to Izuku. He reddened at my words. Still bad at talking to girls? How long will it take him to be normal?

"Thanks! I wouldn't have won without it." He confessed awkwardly. I don't know if that's true or not, so I'll just play nice.

"Don't discredit yourself, I only pushed you in the right direction." I complimented.

"Can anyone analyse the performance of this match?" Asked All Might.

"The MVP of the match has to be Midoriya-kun, he came up with a strategy, beat his opponent as well as protected his teammate. The biggest mistake is the fact the heroes didn't work together, and they prioritised fighting over securing the bomb." Explained Momo. Yeah, she's right.

"Correct! Congratulations to the villain team! The next match will feature Koji Koda and Mezo Shoji as the hero team against Denki Kaminari and Kyoka Jiro as the villain team." He revealed. That could go either way to be honest. Both of the teams steeled their resolve and started walking towards the building where the fight would take place.

Pov change woosh (Kyoka)

"Where do we put the bomb?" I asked Kaminari while fixing my hair.

"The middle, well hidden and we win a straight up fight anyways. What's the combat plan anyway?" He responded lazily as he moved the light bomb with ease.

"I tell you where they are and you blast them?" I proposed. He nodded at my words as we waited for the preparation time to end.

"Heroes can now enter the building!" All Might announced with his usual enthusiasm. I inserted my earjacks into the wall, listening carefully. He meanwhile started pacing the floor.

"Where are they?" Asked Kaminari after a moment of waiting.

"Not in the building yet." I responded irritated at his lack of patience.

"What do you-" His retort was interrupted by the sound of glass shattering, and a rock colliding with the wall. Before we could react a flock of pigeons flew in through the window. They flew right at the bomb, and were ready to carry it outside through the now destroyed wall. Next to the hole stood Shoji-kun rubble still in one of his arms.

"NO YOU DON'T!" Shouted Denki, his voice breaking through the loud sounds of wings flapping. Then the world lit up in a yellow colour as I felt a shock travel through my body making me drop on the floor. No one in the room was left standing except my teammate, but he seemed different.

From the floor I watched Denki aimlessly roam the room as Koda shyly entered it and secured the bomb while my teammate did nothing to stop it.

Pov change woosh (Junko)

"What can you say about this match?" Asked All Might with less enthusiasm than before. This match was a bit of a snooze, I gotta admit.

"The MVP is Koda-kun because he came up with the plan. The villain team mostly failed due to Kaminari-kun's all out attack which neutralized the threat but it did the same to his entire team." Explained Yaoyorozu with an awkward pause before mentioning the villain team.

"Exactly! Next time watch out for your teammates and try not to knock yourself out as your first instinct. The next match is Junko Shiobana and Tsuyu Asui as the hero team against Mina Ashido and Fumikage Tokoyami as the villain team!" All Might announced, sparking a bit of nervousness inside me. Not the worst enemy, but there were better options.

We waited outside the building in complete silence. One which I wasn't planning on breaking anytime soon, social anxiety hit me hard this time.

"What's the plan?" Asked Tsuyu. Thank god she spoke.

"Well we can probably enter through one of the higher floors and hope to sneak past them. If we have to fight we should do so near a window to weaken Tokoyami." I explained in a cold tone.

"How would we enter through a higher floor? And how do you know Tokoyami is weaker in light?" She questioned with a clearly confused expression.

"Well your quirk makes getting up pretty easy and I'll climb, if I need help you can probably assist with your tongue. Tokoyami did worse on the tests that happened outside. Inside the hall which was clearly darker he performed a lot better." I explained casually, while inspecting the building for an easy way up.

"And who of us fights who?" She asked.

"Heroes can now enter the building!" Announced All Might with his booming voice.

"Free for all." I responded as I grabbed onto a window sill. Pulling myself up wasn't a huge issue considering my training. It was finding places I could grab onto that presented a challenge. In the end I had to jump up from window to window. Who knew Assassin's creed climbing was somewhat realistic.

Though I can't help but be jealous as I watch Tsuyu jump up with ease using her tongue as a grappling hook from time to time. After some time we reached the staircase leading up to the roof. Thankfully there was a door leading outside. I simply kicked it open. Subtlety has its place and it wasn't this situation.

We moved from wall to wall hoping to turn our advantage into a possible surprise attack. After cleaning almost a full floor like this we were starting to get a little restless. Thankfully the last room proved to be our target. Inside were both members of the other team, sitting with their backs against the mock bomb.

Sneaking in most likely isn't an option. Well time for plan D then.

"Stay here for now. Go for the bomb when you think you can." I whispered to her, waiting for a response. She gave me a slightly confused nod. Satisfied with that response I ran into the room. No sneaking, no shouting, I just ran into it.

My enemies reacted during my sprint. Both of them got up but their actions diverged from there. Tokoyami summoned Dark Shadow and ordered it to stop me. Mina shot her acid at the ground before me as she began running straight at me. But I had my quirk activated.

Before Mina's trap could hope to work I already turned running at her instead. We were quite close to each other at this point. On my left was the shadowy bird and ahead of me was Mina, about to collide with me. I throw a sped up high roundhouse kick hitting Mina's hand as she moved to block but still having a slight impact on her head, I continued the spinning motion into a full spin at the end of which came a jump and the finishing kick that carried the momentum from one and a half spins.

This one hit her unguarded body instead, hard enough to send her crashing back into Dark Shadow. Thank you random youtube tutorial for teaching me the tornado kick. The nice thing I found is that in all of the guides they show you how to do the motion slowly. The real issue is speeding it up. I don't have that weakness thanks to my quirk. And speeding up the kick itself helps too. The damage stays about the same but the added visual speed still helps to a great extent.

But now playtime is over, I crack my neck and bring my stance closer together. With my hands loosely around my head, I have a more than adequate reaction time to adjust it, need be. The real problem in this fight will be Tokoyami. Mina is already pretty hurt and she doesn't have the range advantage that her teammate has.

Realising this in a split of a second, I drop my stance and start sprinting at Fumikage hoping to use Mina holding up Dark Shadow to its fullest extent.

"Dark Shadow, get back here!" The bird shouted with a look of panic in his eyes. I quickly turned around and saw both Ashido and the quirk projection lunging at me. But I knew only Dark Shadow could arrive in time before I made it to my target. Mina instead decided to attempt to make me slip by creating acid at my feet.

I used it to my advantage instead, shifting into a slide. I stopped right before Tokoyami's feet using my hand to spring up and utilise the momentum to elbow the edgelord.

Sadly by this point Dark Shadow made it back and landed a solid swipe on me, preventing me from following up the hit to the head. My arm started bleeding from the scratch marks, but thankfully my vest withstood the rest of the hit. Note to future self: cover the fucking shoulders. Fuck sex appeal.

"Match over!" I heard All Might shout. I looked over at the bomb and saw Tsuyu holding it. Plan Distraction was a success. Except the bleeding part, but who cares. The look of shock on my opponents eyes more than makes up for it.

I returned to the rest of the class with a neutral face and an arm covered in blood. I don't know what hurts more: my arm or trying to hide my actual expression. All of the others were staring at me with various emotions. Mostly positive thankfully. But I understand the fear after that tornado kick.

"Do you need to go to the nurse?" Asked me All Might his eyes directed at my arm.

"I'm fine." I assured. The pain mostly dulled down and I need the bragging rights.

"If you say so. Well what can you tell me about this match?" All Might questioned my class.

"The MVP is definitely Shiobana-san, she came up with the plan and fought off both enemies at once, providing a great distraction. Asui-san executed the plan perfectly. The villains did well but tunnel visioned on Shiobana-san forgetting about both her partner and the bomb." Momo broke down. Correctly as per usual.

"Yes! Congratulations to team heroes! Next up are Momo Yaoyorozu and Tenya Iida as heroes who will be facing off against Toru Hagakure and Minoru Mineta as villains!" He stated the next matchups. This should be a clean sweep. But Mineta tends to be… sticky so a lot could happen.

"Woah that was like... so manly!" I heard Kirishima say as he approached me together with the tomato that was the current Izuku.

-xXx-
Pov change woosh (Momo)

"The heroes can now begin!" Exclaimed All Might.

"We rush in and overwhelm them. We win in a combat scenario." I proposed to my teammate.

"Good plan, I'll go first." He responded, revving his engines. He entered the building at a high speed with me right behind him. After we turned the first corner we came to a sudden halt. The hallway had purple balls stuck to both the walls and floor.

"They prepared a trap! How do we proceed?" Asked Iida as I considered our options.

Before I could answer I saw Iida fall, right into the trapped hallway. I quickly jumped back and created a staff to fight with. I started waving it around searching for my enemy.

"AAAH!" Shouted someone from down the hallway. I turned my head and saw it was Mineta bouncing from ball to ball, rapidly approaching me. Losing my concentration for even that short amount of time allowed Toru to kick me down into the trap.

Right before I fell onto it I tried creating a blanket so it would stick instead. My efforts only resulted in a napkin. Which wasn't enough to protect me. I watched as Mineta managed to stop himself, by hitting a wall, and walked over to us, capture tape in hand.

After he tied up Iida I could see him walking towards me with a sick grin on his face. Thankfully his invisible teammate yanked the tape out of his grip and quickly tied me up.

Pov change woosh (Ochako)

"All right, what can you all tell me about this match!" Asked our teacher.

"The heroes didn't pay enough attention to their surroundings and weren't careful enough. Yaoyorozu-san was distracted by Mineta-kun even though she was in a combat scenario, something that could cost her life in a real combat scenario. The villains weren't without faults either-" Deku-kun started ranting.

"Thank you young Midoriya but that's enough." All Might stopped his mumbling as politely as he could.

"Sorry!" Bowed Deku apologetically.

"Anyways, the last battle will be Mashirao Ojiro and Shoto Todoroki as the hero team against Ochako Uraraka and Haruto Aizawa as the villain team!" Shouted the number one hero.

"We finally get to participate!" I told my silent teammate as we started walking to the exercises location.

"Yeah. We should go to the roof." He muttered a response that almost made me do a spit take.

"Why?" I questioned almost immediately.

"Todoroki-san can freeze the whole building over before we can do anything. So we need to neutralize him before he can get that far." He explained lifting his head up from his scarf and adjusting his visor.

"What's the plan from the room?" I pressed further, quite intrigued.

"That depends on a few things related to your quirk." He responded.

-xXx-

"Heroes may begin!" Yelled my father's rival. We started making our way towards the building but were surprised to see something hovering above it. Before I could react something small hit me in the shoulder. I looked down to see a bullet with a needle on its end.

When I tried bringing out my ice for protection and retaliation… nothing happened.

"Watch out! Whatever they are shooting negated my quirk!" I informed my teammate as I ripped the bullet out. I didn't even get a moment of rest as I felt a much stronger impact on my stomach. They switched ammunition. We began running towards the building in hopes of finding shelter inside. My quirk still didn't work.

Our assailant jumped off of his position as he lost line of sight with us. He was falling down a lot slower than he normally should have. One of his arms was morphed into some sort of rifle. Strands of his hair led into the barrel. Even while in the air his aim stayed true. The proof of that was the needle bullet in my arm.

We kept running hoping to break the line of sight, for a long enough period to regain my quirk, by entering the building. It seemed they planned for this however as pieces of rubble started falling from the roof. One of which struck me, knocking me to the ground. Ojiro managed to fend the debris with his tail. But that didn't help him much with the rubber bullet that bounced off of the back of his head.

The figure dressed in black that incapaciteted Ojiro lazily walked over to me and tied my hands up with the rope provided for the exercise, doing the same with the limp Ojiro.

"The Villain Team wins!"

Pov change woosh (Junko)

"That wasn't very manly!" Complained Kirishima as soon as the missing students arrived.

"It was effective and the most certain to work." Stated Haruto calmly. He's an interesting one. With a quirk erasing ability of some kind and the last name Aizawa he's bound to be.

"Correct! They created a good ambush for the unprepared heroes! I never said the villains couldn't be on the roof!" All Might seemed pleased with the results.

"That's it for today! You all better rest well for the next exercise!"

-xXx-

After the lesson I and multiple others paid a visit to the nurse. I got a light smooch and a rag to clean my arm. My short stay made it so most students already left or were still getting patched up. Because of the lack of classmates that could possibly ambush me I decided to put on my earbuds and started listening to a cooking podcast.

… I ran out of combat stuff, okay? I decided to text Akemi with a very specific message in mind.

I need fucking sleeves.
- Your dear friend Junko.

With my intentions explained in an elegant way I could relax on the way to the apartament.

-xXx-

I quietly entered the apartment and sneaked into the kitchen. In the kitchen sat Akemi with her face glued to her phone and a plate of takoyaki in front of her. Besides that on the table was a bag, most likely takeout.

"I'm back." I said as I took a seat and put all my concentration into keeping a straight face while Akemi almost jumped out of her chair.

"Why do you have to scare me like that?!" She asked me. Breathing audibly faster than usual. Fuck I thought about breathing now I have to do it manually. ( AN: MUAHAHAHA)

"What are you talking about, I just came back. What's for dinner?" I questioned, brushing it off.

"Fuck you. I got us takoyaki, yours is in the bag." She answered.

"Thanks. Did you read my message?" I took out the boxed meal and began eating.

"Hahaha, yeah I did, it was hilarious. I'm guessing there was a story behind it?"

-xXx-

After explaining everything to Akemi I headed out to work. The plant shop was pretty empty as usual. I walked into the store front and knocked on the door to the backroom.

"It's this hour already?" I heard my employer answer from the inside. Soon after she left her workshop.

"Today is just cashier work, correct ma'am?" I questioned as I looked into the only slightly shorter woman's eyes.

"Yes. I see you kept my gift?" She raised her arm and inspected the flower. I could swear I saw a green glimmer out of the corner of my eye. Is she using her quirk?

"It's a beautiful flower and it suited my hero costume." I admitted as I started organising the flowers locations in my head.

"You flatter me Junko-chan. I'll entrust the shop to you, I have to go back to my work after all."

-xXx-

Finding a not too shady workplace in the middle of the night that would hire me was hard. In the end I got a job as a waitress at a jazz club. The art of balancing the tray with multiple glasses on it is a lot harder than I expected. I gained a lot of respect for waiters.

Thankfully the club's patrons were relatively calm. The music was enjoyable and my boss wasn't a douche. That alone made me more than happy about this job. The pay is adequate. If I add up both this and the flower shop I have a good sum. Enough for rent and groceries with some left over that I can send to the orphanage.

As my shift ended I headed to the backroom to see if I got the job.

"So how did I do, sir?" I asked my employer who was currently trying to light a cigarette.

"Good, better than I expected to be truthful. You youngsters can actually do somewhat well. You got the job." He told me as he shooed me away towards the exit.

"Thank you, I hope I don't dissapoint." I quickly said as I left. I could see the corners of the club owner's mouth lift up ever so slightly.

-xXx-

Sneaking into the apartament proved fairly easy. Akemi wasn't very perceptive normally, sleep only makes that worse. I was however surprised by the light being lit in her room. I opened the door and peeked inside.

Akemi was passed out on her desk drooling over paper. They seemed to be projects for costumes. I entered the room to inspect them closer. There were drawings of costumes used by famous heroes, both female and male. Next to them were notes about various aspects of their design.

The content of the other pages shocked me. There were various versions of my costume. Some added sleeves, some added a belt or boots. Some were only similar because of the colours used.

I gently lifted her up and placed her on the bed. After that I turned off the lights and got ready to go into my own (speed up) slumber.

Waking up this morning was far better than I expected it to be. Tricking my body into thinking I slept much longer than I did is a resounding success! The long-term effects on my body are to be determined. But it will probably be fine!

I turned off my alarm and got out of bed to wash myself up. Lazily stretching out my arms as I opened the door to my room.

"Good morning." I greeted Akemi, who was eating cereal while looking over some notes.

"Mornin'." Her response was slightly unintelligible because of the cereal filling her mouth. She had various papers, notes and sketches laid out next to her bowl.

"What are you working on again?" I questioned while entering the bathroom.

"You know, standard costume stuff." She answered vaguely. ...something's amiss here.

"And what would that be? 'Standard costume stuff' is fairly non descriptive, don't you think?" I pressed further as I continued my morning routine.

"Ummm, right now I'm reading over various dos and don'ts of costumes. Comparing them to existing designs, for homework." She said after a brief moment of thought.

"Yeah? What are some of them then?" I asked as I moved onto the skincare part of my bathroom time. What? Beauty sells. Besides, can't a girl take care of herself?

"Capes are heavily overrated! They are often a nuisance and are disadvantageous in combat." She exclaimed proudly. I wonder how long she's had that one ready for.

"How have your classes been so far?" I asked, deciding to move away from the present conversation.

"It's been great! No one there cares about your quirk as much as they do your skill. I've made lots of friends, since we all share interests after all. The classes themselves are awesome! I'm learning so much more there than I ever could on my own, after all it is one of the best schools in Japan for a reason! How about you?" She told me happily.

"Glad to hear that. For me it's been… good. The normal classes are about as you'd expect but the heroics are rather decent. Having All Might as a teacher is still pretty unreal though." I shared with my roommate.

"And your classmates?" Akemi questioned as I returned to the kitchen.

"How do I put this… Ah! They're troublesome. All of them are heroes for different reasons, but they're taking it with various degrees of seriousness. There is one who constantly shouts about murder, another who keeps breaking limbs due to quirk based issues... and then there is Mineta… A perverted weirdo who spends all of his time trying to peep on the girls." I lamented to Akemi as I poured myself a bowl of cereal.

"I'm sure it can't be that bad." She responded with disbelief in her voice.

"There are some normal people, but I haven't really had time to socialise with them." I told her as I enjoyed my meal.

"Junko…" She said my name in a voice that frankly scared me. I felt as if I was a child and my parents found out I broke something.

"That's me." I replied weakly, feeling my presence shrink out of fear.

"Are you being anti-social again? I thought we agreed that you'd change your attitude towards people when we started going to high school." And there was the bomb shell.

"Who me? Nooo, of course not." I denied her claim with all the energy that I could muster.

"Don't you lie to me." She kept up her demanding tone. And frankly? I broke under the pressure.

"Fine… Maybe I'm not talking to them that much…" I admitted, both my bad social habits and defeat in this conversation.

"What did I tell you?" She asked, disappointment apparent in her tone.

"Don't act like a social outcast or you'll have no friends… Which is dumb. I already have friends and family. I don't need any more." I argued.

"And are any of them in your class?" She questioned, knowing the answer already.

"No, but-"

"Then you need to at least make some friends in your class! End of discussion." She denied any of my attempts to continue and we lapsed into silence for the rest of breakfast.
The remainder of my morning had fairly little conversation, I was too busy putting focus into my makeup. I was never an expert with it but I can make it look decent enough. Although (and this might be embarrassing to admit) but I learned more about it in this life than my longer previous one. Gotta make myself look marketable, and knowing people good at it helped.

-xXx-

The commute to school was mostly uneventful, the only issue that arose was a swarm of reporters in front of the entrance gate. Thankfully I still had my earbuds in and just walked right past them. One tried to grab my shoulder but the glare I shot him as soon as he touched me stopped any further action.

Was the whole villain attack happening today? if I had to be honest I don't really remember. I barely watched the show and as far as I'm aware some things have already changed. Well I know one thing for sure: they can try to fight me. And if I go out you can bet I'm taking a lot of them with me.

"Wait up!" I heard a voice call out behind me muffled by the music blasting in my ears. I kept walking, not in the mood for social interactions.

"Waaaait!" Again, this time louder than before. I ignored it again but soon after that it became apparent I wasn't going to be able to avoid this one…

A pink face appeared in my peripheral vision as Mina finally caught up to me. I slowly looked over at her before taking out my earphones.

"Shiobana-san right?" She asked me as soon as she assumed I could hear her.

"Yes, Ashido-san?" I questioned half mindedly.

"I was right! Hooray me! Anyway, you were awesome yesterday, beat the absolute crap out of us!" She exclaimed energetically.

"Sorry about that." I apologise for the beating I gave her last time.

"Don't worry about it! That's what the training was about after all! But I have to ask, where did you learn all that?" She didn't seem very sad about losing.

"Self taught mostly, it's crazy how much you can find on the internet for absolutely no cost." I answered truthfully.

"No way! You had to have gone to a dojo or something like that at least." She told me, apparently my martial prowess is unbelievable to some.

"If that's what you think." I said as we entered the classroom ready for our first lesson.

-xXx-

The first few classes passed quite quickly to me, definitely not because of my quirk, although today's schedule was odd to say the least. The hour with our homeroom teacher was switched with the hero training. Why? I suppose I'll find out later.

Right now I was headed straight for the cafeteria for lunch. I swiftly made my way over to the table I usually sat at with Akemi and Mei. Both of whom were already there, eating their meals of choice. I was just getting ready to sit down with my own plate when I got interrupted.

"What do you think you're doing?" Asked Akemi using one of her arms to stop me.

"Uh, trying to sit down and eat?" I answered unsure of what she wanted from me.

"You were supposed to be making friends with your classmates." She reprimanded me, her tone accusatory. I could see Mei giggling in the background as she watched the show.

"And I did get started on that but I'm taking it one step at a time, can I eat now?" I said as I started getting annoyed.

"Fine but from tomorrow onwards I'm expecting you to eat somewhere else." She scoffed while moving her arm allowing me to sit down.

"I can promise I'll try, but I can't do much more than that though." I stated, whispering the second part under my breath as I began eating.

"What exactly did you mean by 'started on that'? What did you do?" Akemi asked, her voice a lot lighter than before.

"I talked with a few of them about things." I answered vaguely.

"Were any of those things not school related?" Akemi questioned in her relentless attempts to 'fix' my social life.

"Y-yes?" I told her, unsure of how correct that answer was.

"At least you made an attempt, I can't be mad at that." Right after she said that an alarm rang out.

"Security breach level three, all students please evacuate." Huh, that's a problem if I recall correctly.

"Someone made it onto school grounds. Well, we better get going." I calmly explained to my friends taking advantage of the convenient excuse to end the conversation. Only to turn and see they were both gone, having already run off. Cowards, anyway I have no idea what this is about, I know this will result in that whole 'plus ultra' All Might fight, but this? No clue. I'll just listen to the instructions then.

Easier said than done though considering most students decided to bolt it towards the exit. Which in turn created what I can best describe as a tsunami of people shoving each other to make room for themselves. As you can imagine it wasn't the most effective evacuation method.

Right as I began casually strolling towards the exit, Iida floated up and started spinning.

"Don't panic, everyone! It's just the press! We are attending UA high, can we please act accordingly to that fact?" He exclaimed, standing on the frame of the door. That flipped a switch in the crowd's minds and everything began calming down.

Should I give blockhead more respect? Good question. Arguments for: he can act competent. Arguments against: blockhead, annoying, admitting being incorrect. No then? I'll just end up being an asshole like Bakugo if I go on with it for too long. I'll just do it on a case by case basis. Anyway, heroics class is starting soon.

-xXx-

We all put on our costumes and waited near the entrance to the industrial training grounds. The wait was only slightly shorter than last time, I really hope they learn how to dress up quickly.

"I feel like you might not have understood what I told you on your first day. We don't waste time here. I'll need to arrange a lesson about putting costumes on quickly it seems." Our teacher mused, disappointed.

"Today we'll be focusing on training mobility. You will be separated into Runners and Catchers. We'll do two games with the catcher's team having six members. The Runners team will lose points for getting hit or caught, they gain points for the amount of members remaining by the end and the number of civilians rescued, represented by weighted bags. To rescue a civilian you need to place them in one of the safe zones scattered around the site. the catchers will try to stop the runners, by injuring or catching either them or the civilians. a caught runner must either be cuffed or unable to move." Aizawa-sensei explained in his usual monotone.

"Um Sensei, why does one of the teams have more members?" Questioned my frog teammate from the battle training.

"This exercise is supposed to teach catching criminals, saving civilians as well as retreating when heavily outnumbered. Team runners are not supposed to fight team catchers, the difference in numbers is supposed to prevent a confrontational approach and simulate reality better." Answered our homeroom teacher.

"For the first round Junko Shiobana, Katsuki Bakugo, Koji Koda, Fumikage Tokoyami will comprise runners team, while Minoru Mineta, Izuku Midoriya, Tsuyu Asui, Haruto Aizawa, Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima will be their opponents." So I'm going as one of the firsts, huh?

-xXx-

"Begin!" Came the signal from the speakers. I immediately started sprinting in the hopes of getting at least some breathing room to form a plan with the others… The sound of explosions behind me reminds me of the fact that cooperating with my teammates might be a lot harder than I'd like. Thank god they gave us earpieces to talk to each other.

"Can you hear me?" I asked, testing the earpiece.

"Yes." I heard a voice mutter.

"We need to focus on civilians, avoid fighting unless you're cornered. If you're in a tight spot, tell us where you are and we'll try to get you out." I swiftly explained my plan whilst praying to god that everyone just goes along with it. Of course that wasn't the case…

"To hell with that! I'm gonna show that loser what the cost of embarrassing me is and get the fact that the fight was just a one time fluke through his thick skull!" As soon as he finished I snapped my head behind me to see him stop in place, take something out of his ear… and explode it.

Well I can't count on him, dammit! This makes my job that much harder. Our chances of winning are slim if he gets caught right off the bat. Thank god the catchers start somewhere else. That will at least buy us sometime before they find each other.

"Team catchers can start… now!" The voice of Mina erupted from the speakers signaling that the game had begun properly. Why Mina though? Did Aizawa-sensei just decide to sleep through this? Doesn't matter, I need to focus on getting as many civilians as possible.

I started running through the streets coated in a light warmth. Nothing noticeable, but I'll take it considering how easy it is to maintain. The civilian bags were all 'flesh' coloured, often hidden under rubble or in buildings. They weren't making this easy, thankfully the safe zones were quite common and placed in relatively easily accessible places. After picking up a civilian you could effectively just chuck it along the way to the next one.

I went along like that for a fair amount of time, until I was interrupted by a green flash headed straight for me. At least that's what everyone else would see, as soon as I thought something was coming I ramped up my slowed perception to a max. The green flash was now effectively a snail as I struggled against the sudden brain freeze. Upon closer inspection I discovered that my new opponent was the green broccoli himself.

His legs seemed fine however, so he must have figured out a way to move fast without damaging himself too much. We were supposed to avoid direct combat but in this case he's faster than me so I can't really run. Besides, I want to see how it is to fight the protagonist.

Bringing time back to a bit of a faster pace I waited for Izuku to come flying at me. When he got a bit closer I jumped, lifting one of my legs higher as I created momentum from it's movement.

Right before he flew under me I slowed everything down again, this next part needed good timing after all. As I began feeling my head freeze, my whole body burned. The shock of experiencing both ends of the spectrum at once didn't feel all that great, but it was worth it. My speed up leg smashed right into my assailant's back. The speed might not have affected the force of it, but what mattered was it changed Izuku's trajectory, making him smash right into the ground.

I managed to land my now normal speed fall even though it was clunky. I'll need to train to experience extreme heat and cold at the same time. Still, I did what I set out to do, quite spectacularly too.

"Nice try, but you gotta be faster than that." I taunted, filled with (in my personal opinion justified) pride. I rested on my laurels too quickly however as I felt something like a sting in my shoulder.

A yellow bullet-like thing was hanging out of my shoulder on a needle that managed to pierce the temporary sleeves I was using until I could get a more permanent version manufactured. There was another issue that was a little more subtle, time was back to normal. Something I wasn't used to after living most of my recent life with it altered in some way.

With Izuku starting to get up it was time to act quickly. So I ripped the needle out of my shoulder and ran away towards cover. I'm not a genius under pressure, I'm not a genius in most situations even, I just get a lot of time to think. Anyway, back to my current plan: run away!

So far my plan has been a resounding success. My quirk is back, I lost them and I don't think they're in any position to give chase. Izuku got roughed up while Haruto was probably extremely far away. And with my quirk I should be able to handle Izuku if he does decide to go after me.

With that train of thought I decided to look out from the cover I was hiding behind. Only to see my green haired classmate right there, seemingly still searching for me. He's too smart to think he can defeat me alone, someone has to be with him. He's guarding the cross section and the only other way I can run is right back into Haruto's line of sight. I think it's time to call for help.

"I need help near the bottom right corner. I'm hiding in a red building. I think there are at least three of them here. Though I can only confirm Midoriya and Aizawa." I whispered into my earpiece hoping help would come.

Securing proved to be an easy task, utilising Dark shadow who thrived in the environment with pipes everywhere casting shade for him to travel through.

So far we haven't encountered any of the catchers, so it's been smooth sailing. Hopefully everyone else is doing equally well.

"I need help near the bottom right corner. I'm hiding in a red building. I think there are at least three of them here. Though I can only confirm Midoriya and Aizawa." The voice of my teammate rang in my earpiece as soon as the thought left my mind.

"I jinxed it." I muttered to myself as I started running towards her location. Meanwhile Dark shadow laughed at my misfortune. Which definitely wasn't what I wanted to hear right now. The fact I have to run doesn't mean Dark shadow can't rescue a few more of these mock civilians. That was what I thought until I saw a tongue lash out from inside one of the buildings and steal a bag from his lazy grasp. It seems once again, I have jinxed it.

"I'm in position, I can't see her anywhere though." I reported through my earpiece.

"She's probably hidden in one of the buildings. Just wait for us to get there." I heard Haruto respond in my ear. Hopefully this goes better than the last attempt… Crashing into the ground hurts a ton.

"DEEEEEEKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" A scream followed by a series of explosions came from one of the streets I was overlooking. As I turned my head to see the source, he was already in front of me.

"Cra-" I managed to blurt out before an explosion impacted my hastily put up guard. The force of the impact sent me crashing to the floor. As my back smashed into the street I felt all the air in my lungs leave my body together with some blood. I could hear a constant ringing in my ears, the world in front of me becoming blurrier each second.

"Midoriya-san what happened!? Shit! Kirishima-san is almost there, I'm on my way too, try surviving until then." That's... reassuring.

"Attacking without giving the enemy a chance to react isn't very manly Bakugo-kun! Though I did something similar the last time we fought. I guess this can be a rematch and apology for what I did during battle training. NOW, BRING IT ON!" I heard the familiar voice of Kirishima-kun yell in front of me.

-xXx-
Pov change woosh (Junko Shiobana)

That dumbass… He did buy me a chance to get out so I can't be too mad, even if that wasn't his intention. I suppose I should help him knock out those two. I doubt he'll escape even if I give him the chance to, so beating them is the only option.

"I have good news and bad news. Bakugo's here, but he's hellbent on beating Midoriya and blew up his earpiece earlier. I'm gonna help him fight Kirishima and Midoriya, there is no way he isn't getting caught if I don't." I announced as I jumped out of my hiding spot.

I rushed towards them, Katsuki was already jumping at Kirishima, giving Midoriya time to get up. The red headed fortress took the explosions like a champ, expecting them and putting up a proper and hardened guard. The firecracker's assault remained relentless, shouting various profanities, annoyed at how ineffective his attacks seemed to be.

After a while of being a fairly resistant punching bag, Kirishima attempted to attack. He managed to hit his opponent, making him back off, but he also took an explosion to the face. Bakugo, whose charge was interrupted by the punch in the shoulder, noticed the fact that Midoriya had gotten back up. That realisation changed his priorities as he saw me get closer, he ran past Kirishima headed straight for Izuku.

"Hey man! What about our manly duel!?" Eijiro yelled as he started chasing his opponent. I don't know if Bakugo knew I wouldn't let him fight a two vs one which he'd obviously lose or if he just ran for Midoriya blinded by rage. Doesn't matter, I have to somehow stop Kirishima before more of them get here.

I ran at my hardened classmate who's specialty definitely wasn't speed. As I got within reach of him I threw a kick at the back of his neck hoping I could at least cause a bit of damage. And I did, sadly most of it was to my foot rather than to Kirishima. What mattered was that I got his attention.

"Alright! I guess we could fight instead!" He loudly exclaimed, throwing a punch in my general vicinity as he turned to face me. I got his attention, the issue is what now? I can't really hurt him. I also don't have any support items that could help or rather I don't have any support items.

With only a vague plan starting to form in my head I decided to tire him out a little as it continued to form. I started executing that plan by ducking under a huge telegraphed haymaker, jabing at his stomach with my elbow to exploit his mistake.

Fighting him isn't really an issue considering he's slow and doesn't know how to fight properly, defeating him is the hardest part. With nearly impenetrable skin you can afford a lot of mistakes. At least against an opponent like me. Real heroes usually don't get that much slack.

Eijiro snapped his entire body around and unleashed a barrage of punches, if one didn't work a series of them might, being the logic behind his decision. It did make sense, but I was fast enough to just move back and keep my distance, the fact we were fighting on a street leaving a lot of room for me to move around.

But with his attack stopping it was my time to go on the offensive and execute my which would hopefully render him unable to keep going. I ran towards him, causing him to raise his guard and prepare a response. As I got closer I could see his shoulder wind back a bit, muscles tense and elbow compact. Seeing everything at a slower pace helps with noticing small details like that.

Right before I reached him my body chilled to an unnaturally low temperature, slowing my movement to a crawl, resulting in Kirishima punching the air as his timing was off. I quickly turned up the heat, which relieved the pain I felt from the combination of chilling both my senses and body.

Back to my former speed I brushed against my opponent's side as I hit my opponent square in the nose with a scorching open palm while running. Usually this would result in a knockout and possible concussion. Here his resistant body managed to protect him from most of the damage, but what really mattered was that I managed to use my quirk on him.

Now to push my advantage as far as I can. I pushed Eijiro forward, my hands still searing hot. As I finally managed to get him to the destination I needed him to be at, I stood in front of him and started going ham on his face, only stopping when he began retaliating. With how fast the world is going for him the only feeling that he could have actually perceived needed to last for a while. A series of strikes to the head would suffice.

As he began a barrage he tore through a building's walls, with my slight guidance moving him towards the next wall. By the time he realised he was smashing through walls and that signal reached his body, the structure began collapsing. Right on top of him.

Hopefully that keeps him down, Jesus. That much quirk usage is fairly draining, nevermind the temperature being a pain. Now to see how broccoli and firecracker are doing.

AN: I'm back, probably… I took a bit of a break from writing as it wasn't going too well. I can't promise much, but I can at least say I'm not planning on completely dropping writing any time soon. The cliffhanger on this chapter was up to a roll of dice. So hit up RNGesus if you have any complaints. See you next time and I hope you enjoyed this one.

Pov change and a bit of time travel woosh (Katsuki Bakugo)

How dare this useless bastard beat me. Why was he hiding the fact he had a quirk from me all this time? Does he consider me not worth knowing? I'll show him what happens if you look down on me.

"DEEEEEEEEEEEEKUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" I roared as I propelled myself towards him, the redhead too occupied to stop me. I saw the surprise and fear in his eyes before it all disappeared. Completely unfounded confidence took its place as he corrected his stance and aimed his hand straight at me carefully. I extended my arm as I got closer, ready to blast him to bits. I knew he'd try to stand his ground, convinced by his footing.

Instead, he jumped to the side, landing on the ground and snapping his finger. Sending me flying back first into the side of a building, the sound of glass breaking lead to me crashing into the building, only stopping when I countered the knockback with my own via explosions. When did he get so strong? No matter, I'll show him battle training was just a fluke.

As I looked out of the now broken window, I saw him running towards redhead and tik tok. Oh no, you're not! This is between you and me! I propelled myself forward, screaming at the top of my lungs to get his attention. As I saw him turn to face me, I started blasting in different directions, rapidly changing my trajectory with each explosion to confuse him as much as I could. He thought he knew where I'd go, firing an airblast forward, which I dodged by propelling myself up and over, landing behind him.

"You didn't think that'd work on me twice in a row, did you?" I mocked, igniting my sweat aimed at his back, shoving him forward as I continued my assault. My explosions grew weaker as I ran out of sweat to ignite. I didn't care, taking this as a chance to take my anger out. Which turned out to be a mistake. While I kept blasting away, Deku managed to collect himself and use the smoke from an explosion to punch me.

"The fuck was that Deku. Are you even trying?" I asked because I barely felt the punch.

"Believe me, I am doing my best." He responded as a much stronger knee hit me in the chin. It caused me to fall back first onto the floor. I saw that it flipped Deku with just how much force it carried.

-xXx-

Pov change and a bit of time travel woosh (Izuku Midoriya)

All of the bones in my index finger snapped as a point-blank explosion blinded me, and I felt a sharp pain in my back. Followed by many more.

"Yo Midoriya I'm nearly there, try to survive till then 'kay?" A different voice than before came from my earpiece, helping my ears recover from the numerous point-blank range explosions, but they were getting weaker. Kacchan is running out of sweat, though most of my fingers are already busted.

As soon as there was a bit of downtime after an explosion, I threw a blind right hook through the smoke, which miraculously connected. He was surprised by it, which gave me a moment to breathe.

"The fuck was that Deku. Are you even trying?" He rightfully questioned the weak punch.

"Believe me, I am doing my best." I huffed out whilst filling one of my toes with one for all, causing my leg to spring up. Even after hitting Kacchan, the momentum made me perform a backflip. The unexpected movement didn't give me enough time to land properly, eating the asphalt instead.

I heard a loud thud as I stood up. I looked in the direction it came from and saw a building collapsed, near the spot Kirishima-kun and Shiobana-san were fighting. But I didn't have much time to inspect the scene as Kachan started getting up himself.

"You didn't believe that would put me down for good, did you DEKU!" He yelled as he ran towards me again. Coming to a sudden halt when someone emerged from an alley, barring his path. Lightning crackling in the newcomer's palm.

-xXx-

Pov change woosh (Junko Shiobana)

Denki caught him by his face and started triggering his quirk. That dumbass will get electrocuted if I don't do something. I looked for anything throwable I could use to help Katsuki but the only thing I could see was the rubble from the building Kirishima was under. Which really wouldn't make that good of a projectile even with the few pieces I could lift. As I started running forward, I saw something that'd actually fit the bill perfectly.

"AAAAAAH!" Katsuki exclaimed in pain, as electricity began coursing through his body.

I slowed myself down, a chill running through my entire body, to pick up a manhole. Soon after, I did the reverse, attempting an athletic discus throw while still in motion, infusing some of the heat into the metal itself which seemed very happy to absorb it. Right as it was about to hit its mark. Bakugo managed to pull the pin on one of his gauntlets, blowing both the disc, Kaminari, and him away. The part of the street they stood on was wrecked by the explosion.

Even if I generally undermine him, I have to respect the fact he managed to do that with electricity nearly searing his flesh.

"Stop going off on your own you asshole. We were supposed to avoid fighting. That was the whole point of this exercise." I argued, my breathing shallow.

"I'm not going to run from fucking Deku." He huffed in response, his breathing far worse than mine.

"Fine, but at least fight smart. It's a damned miracle I managed to take Kirishima down. We're supposed to be on the same team you know." I said, annoyed at just how uncooperative he was.

"Not my fault you're weak as fuck tik tok. But fine we can fight together as long as you can keep up. But you leave Deku to me, understand?" Thank fuck he gave in.

"I'm not touching your boyfriend, don't worry." I joked as we began running forward at our opponents. He might be shit at teamwork, but he's got a strong quirk, and even if I'm not willing to admit it, he's a lot stronger than me.
Seeing our advance Izuku and Denki got back up too, the first whispering something to the second. Kaminari took a basically point-blank half-charged gauntlet blast, at least. He shouldn't be able to stay up for too much longer.

"DEKU! LET'S FINISH THIS!" Bakugo yelled as he ran forward, only to get disregarded by Midoriya, who focused on something else. As soon as I checked what he was staring at, I had a rough outline of what he was planning.

"WATCH OUT FOR THE WATER!" I shouted to my teammate while my green-haired opponent kicked the water hydrant cap open. A horizontal stream of water shot out, Kaminari already closing in to do his part. I quickly dashed forward and pushed all of the heat in my palm away to give myself even the slightest boost to speed. Meanwhile focusing on the feeling of sheer cold as I prayed this would work. With my hand numb from the frost, I touched the water. Creating a thin layer of ice between my palm and the stream on contact, reducing the conductivity and damage I had to take. But the combination of cold and electricity had my arm out of commission for a few minutes at least.

My hand blocked the stream for a long enough time allowing Bakugo to pass through and attack Denki, getting him away from the water so that I could follow suit. Shockingly nice of him, but I wasn't about to start complaining. Immediately after I passed through the water, the firecracker moved on to attack his rival. Fighting without one arm will be a nuisance, but I can manage.

He was the first one to attack, swinging his arm in a wide arc, leaving behind a trace of electricity, which I ducked under as soon as I saw his shoulder go back, my limp arm dragging along the ground as the functional one delivered a swift punch to the gut. He took a few unsteady steps back. Trying to cope with the newly reignited pain dealt to where he tanked the explosion earlier. Tripping on the curb and falling down on his ass. He doesn't have much fight left in him.

"You want to give up? No point in knocking you around more if you can barely move." I proposed mercifully.

"That's not what a hero would do, is it?" He refused, pushing himself back up to take one last stand. I already expected what he was planning, so there was no point in screwing around. I turned up the heat on my body, slowing my perception even more than usual to accommodate the change, touched him with one scorching finger, and ran the fuck away right after. The shift in perception threw him off long enough for me to get out of range of his million-volt blast. As I looked around after stopping to see if Denki uses his ability, I saw something worrisome. Shit, I forgot about Bakugo.

"Bakugo run!" I yelled at the last second, Bakugo seemed to ignore me as he kept fighting with Izuku, grabbing his hand and leveraging himself with an explosion to throw Midoriya towards Denki, right as his electricity blast went off. Katsuki fell to the floor as he wasn't quite out of its range. The human broccoli landed on top of Kaminari whose brain was short-circuited from the sheer amount of electricity.

I ran towards him, offering a helping hand once I noticed movement. Thankfully he was far enough for the electricity to weaken.

"Sorry for the late heads up. Though I'm not sure if you even listened." I said as he attempted to get up after swatting my hand away, only to collapse in pain.

"Why would I ever agree to run away from shitty Deku?" He responded by trying to stand up again, to which his body refused.

"Because I told you to do so? If I am yelling for you to run, there is usually a good reason for it. And why did you even assume it was from Izuku? You know what forget that. What's more important is that your grudge or whatever you want to call this farce is incredibly fucking stupid!" I exclaimed, too frustrated at his bullshit to hold back my words.

"What would you fucking know about it tik tok? Do you want to die?" He growled back, stubborn as a donkey in trying to get up on his own.

"I could not give less of a shit about why you're so fixated on showing him 'who's the boss'. But it could put both you and me in danger. In fact, it has done so already in your case. The former is completely unnecessary, but fine if you want to die that's up to you." He scoffed at my words.

"The latter, however, is my business too. How do you want to be a hero when your priority is chasing down your target with complete disregard for safety and civilians or other heroes like me?! You showed me you were capable of teamwork. Tou stopped Denki so I could pass! Why does Midoriya's involvement change that fact?" I asked.

"That's none of your business." He refused to answer, trying to stand up again only for my leg to pin him back down to the floor.

"What the fuck are you doing Bakugo? You're learning to become a hero to save lives. You'll often work with heroes you dislike or villains you want revenge on. But you can't let your emotions cloud your judgment. If you face the family of a civilian casualty, will you tell them you couldn't save their son because the other hero present once spilled his coffee on you? Grow the fuck up already. This is where we are supposed to learn how to be real heroes. I get that everyone makes mistakes, but one can only repeat the same mistake so many times before that stops applying. We either do this together as a team, or I'm knocking you out right now." I took my foot off his chest and offered him a hand again. His face visibly scowled. After a moment, he gave up and took my hand.

"Try that again, and you will regret it." He grumbled a threat, which I completely ignored. I hope I managed to get through to him. We're going to be in the same class for a few years. Him constantly acting like a toddler wouldn't make my time here pleasant. Right when I was about to ask Fumikage where he was through the earpiece, I heard the sound of running. Turning around, I saw Tokoyami sprinting towards us while Dark Shadow fought off Asui.

"I apologize for bringing in an enemy, but she kept following me as soon as I began heading here." He said as he stopped by us, his quirk coming back to his side. Tsuyu seemed to have backed off seeing all of us here. But something still felt off.

I heard rubble scrapping on each other before a loud thud. I turned around to see a bloody and beaten Kirishima standing there huffing with his quirk deactivated. He didn't move. Something was off. I thought as I turned to see Haruto swinging in on a fucking grappling hook, opening fire at us with his biological gun.

"Bakugo blast behind you!" I yelled. He followed my order to a tee, protecting all of us from the needle bullets. Maybe I finally managed to get through his stubbornness and thick skull. Haruto stopped landing on the side of the building his hook attached to, swiftly climbing up onto the roof and disappearing from sight.

That's when I felt something pull my leg. I looked down to see it was Asui's tongue. The force of the tug snatched me into a side alley, my face nearly scraping the concrete, separating me from the others. Once the movement stopped, I tried to get back up, but she immediately stomped on my back, causing me to cough up blood.

My chest compressed further against the ground, I found it harder to breathe. I struggled to get back up, both desperate for air and fearful of loss. I used my quirk near my spine right, under her foot. The temperature rose rapidly, with the hope I could catch her off guard. Her foot remained, however. With my vision getting darker and darker, I didn't have enough strength to throw her off. I began to lose hope, my trashing weakening with each attempt, but then I heard the sound of wings flapping.

Asui's foot moved off my back, causing me to gasp for air and slowly lift myself off the ground. I noticed her jumping from one side of the alley to the other, swatting pigeons away. I guess my last teammate sent help, just in time, in fact. The pigeons flew away once Asui was actually able to touch them. It really didn't matter since they did their job.

I stretched the fingers of my frostbitten hand; it might not be in as good of a condition as the other one. After the electricity and freezing combination, that is to be expected. But at least I can move it again. Regulating my breathing the best I could, I bolted forward. My quirk's effect might have already passed, but I can do just fine without it.

Asui lashed at me with her tongue, but this time she's not going to catch me off guard. I slowed my perception enough to snatch it, then moved the cold to my palm, grabbing a nearby steel pole. I then wrapped her tongue around it. I wasn't sure how long it would hold her in place, but it would at least slow her down.

I darted forward, ready to finish her off. I felt my legs start burning, not from my quirk, but the strain I put them through today. This was one of the last obstacles for today. I could sense victory getting closer and closer. I reared my fully functioning arm back as soon as Asui got within arms reach, I could see her panic and attempt to dodge by falling back-

I fell to the ground, pinned down by the now unconscious Shiobana-san and the pole my tongue was still attached to. It was a street sign I managed to pull out of the ground. I crawled out from below her and tried to get my tongue off the metal. Immediately regretting my decision as I made no progress in freeing myself and felt the flesh of my tongue begin to rip.

Giving up entirely on freeing myself, for the time being, I wrapped my tongue, together with the pipe, around my waist. This at least allows me to move without dragging it behind me. Time to go help the rest.

Pov change and a bit of time travel woosh (Katsuki Bakugo)

"Fuck, he got onto the roof! Wait, where is tik tok?" I asked birdface, as I scanned my surroundings.

"I do not know, but I believe we should dispose of the opponents here instead of risking falling into their trap going after Shiobana-san." He answered calmly.

"I'm gonna go take out the redhead. You watch the roofs and yell if the prick shows up again." I ordered before blasting off towards my target.

"And if he fires?" What a stupid question.

"Stop the fucking bullets birdbrain." I yelled without looking back. I continued towards my target jumping from one piece of rubble to another towards the center of the collapsed building. As I approached, I saw he's barely standing. What a waste of time this is.
As I got closer, he fixed his footing and positioned himself into a semi-correct stance activating his quirk again. Not even close to enough. I took one last step before jumping, propelled by my quirk, using the momentum to kick him in the chest. He fell onto his back with me on top of him. To his credit, he was still struggling, no matter how futile it actually was. I finished him off with a series of explosions to the face.

"Bakugo!" I fired a blast as soon as I heard him yell before turning around. I only hit the air this time as I noticed it was birdbrain himself in trouble this time. Fighting off both frog face and the grape weakling. His little birdie was unable to hold both of them off.
I took a running start from the top of the heap of rubble before using my quirk to propel myself into the air. Before landing, I took a grenade off my belt and threw it between them and birdbrain. I rolled on the ground right next to him as the dust settled.

"You're gonna be able to keep up with me birdbrain?" I asked him while checking how much sweat built up in my gauntlets. I had one full blast and another weaker one ready. Should be more than enough for these weaklings.

"Light weakens dark shadow. So we might be in a disadvantageous position fighting hand in hand." This will be annoying.

"Just focus on defending me from the quirk bullets. Make yourself useful in some way." I told him as I dashed towards my enemies, still recovering from the blast. They got off the ground as I approached.

"AAAAGHHHHH" The weakling yelped as he started chucking his annoying balls at me, some of which stuck to my costume. I know who I'm getting rid of first. I fired off explosions to my right, redirecting my body towards the annoying midget. I carefully ran through the minefield left behind by his pathetic attack. As I got closer, I stopped propelling myself, saving fuel for the attack. The second he was within my reach, I swung my arm in a wide arc, activating my quirk alongside the movement.

"Bakugo on your left!" Fuck. All of my senses went into overdrive as I gave up blasting the midget, for now, focusing on survival instead. I used up the sweat in my other hand to explode whatever was on my left. Before the smoke cleared, I felt something sweep my feet. Causing me to start falling. Not this shit again.

I used whatever sweat I had leftover in both hands to push myself back up again before hitting the ground. Back on my feet, I immediately got punched in the gut by frog face. I tried to retaliate with a kick, but my leg refused to move. One of the weaklings' balls connected my heel and the asphalt together.

"Birdbrain can you at least get the midget?" I yelled while throwing a punch with my right arm. It didn't connect because, without proper footwork, it was incredibly telegraphed. That didn't dissuade me from trying again, multiple times. As I drew my arm back in, I rotated my body and transferred the force into my left elbow, which she blocked with her forearm. I followed through with the circular movement, managing to slip off her guard. Right after, I turned in the opposite direction, extending my bent arm for extra reach. She ducked under my sweeping arm, punching me in the side while my body turned further following the arm.

"Dark Shadow!" While still turned, I caught a glimpse of a black creature shooting past towards where the midget ran. I ignited the small amount of sweat I built up for a quick recovery. As the recoil fixed my position, I shielded my face with the hand that flew towards it, blocking a kick. Shoving the leg to the side to throw off her balance, I went in for a gut punch. This one was a clean hit, knocking the air out of her.
I took this as my chance to get rid of the stupid fucking ball pinning me in place.

First, I tried blowing it away with a standard explosion from my palm, but it just created a scorch mark on the purple ball. With frog face starting to recover from my punch, I didn't have much time left. Small explosions weren't going to cut it, so I steadied my arm and aimed it at the ground, pulling the pin on the half-charged gauntlet. It blasted the asphalt to bits, along with providing enough recoil to tear out the piece that the ball was stuck to, allowing me free range of movement again.

"Now we can fight for real." I grinned at her, igniting a tiny portion of the sweat on my palms for show. The heat from that gauntlet blast produced plenty of heat, meaning I was good to go. I got the impression my taunt wasn't very well received by frog face as she leaped onto the wall of a building before bouncing off of it straight at me.

I chose to stand my ground using my gauntlets to block the kick, which sent me skidding back. Putting my guard down, I saw her stick the landing before she looked straight at me, eyes filled with foolish determination. We both rushed at each other, with her being the first to attack. She slowed down her movement as we got closer, trying to deliver a high kick to the temple. I narrowly dodged it by tilting my head back. I tried to exploit the opening she provided me with by using my quirk to disorient her. I swiftly swung my arm right to her ear as she turned back around. She tried blocking my arm, but it was already too late. All I needed to do was ignite the nitroglycerin.

And I did exactly that. I watched with satisfaction as she clutched her head in pain. She tried to retaliate with a punch from her unoccupied arm. I easily caught it, twisting her arm until she fell to the floor, onto one of the midget's balls.

"That's what you get for trying to act like Deku." I mocked her, soon after realizing she couldn't hear me, still clutching her head in pain, this time with both hands. If she wasn't strong enough to handle my explosions she shouldn't have tried to fight me. Fucking Deku made them all think they were hot shit with his speech during battle training. Life doesn't work like that. I'm doing her a favor really.

As I turned around to look for birdbrain I noticed he was lying on the floor, I ran up to him while scanning each of the rooftops around us, and sure enough, I saw that prick there aiming his toy at me. When he noticed I knew where he was he disappeared. He must have circled around and shot birdbrain from behind.

"Birdbrain get the fuck up!" I yelled at him when I got close enough to touch him. It was no use. He was out cold. Teamwork, my ass. In the end, I have to do everything by myself. I'll laugh at tik toks advice later now I need to take out the last annoyance. Just a matter of getting up onto the rooftops. I rushed towards the toppled building, where I knocked out the redhead. Using the rubble as a ramp before jumping with the help of my explosions, blasting myself forward before reaching the wall and lifting myself up onto the roof.

From up here, I could easily see the surrounding roofs as well as where my target was running to. I wasn't planning on letting him get away. I broke out into a sprint after him, using my quirk to accelerate even further as I jumped from building to building, chasing my target as he tried to run away. We kept this up until he had nowhere to run anymore. Standing near the edge of one of the roofs, he turned to face me.

"Nowhere to run now." I said before dashing at him, eager to end this quickly. We first clashed near the edge of the building as I attempted to smash one of my gauntlets into him. He managed to stop it with both of his arms, pushing it away and trying to retaliate by punching me in the stomach. I didn't try stopping the punch instead. I decided to attack again, aiming for his chest. I felt his attack impact me, but I kept going, ignoring the pain and activating my quirk to blast him away for good.

But nothing happened. Taking advantage of my surprise, he punched me in the head. My vision was starting to get blurry, fatigue from previous fights catching up to me as I pushed him away, still unable to activate my quirk. I had to finish this quickly, no more holding back.
"Nice trick, but it ain't gonna work on me!" I exclaimed as I pointed my fully charged gauntlet at him. I gripped the pin seeing the panic in his eyes before I ripped it out with all of my remaining strength. As the blast went off, I collapsed onto the floor exhausted.

Pov change and a bit of time travel woosh (Haruto Aizawa)
As I noticed what he was planning, my life flashed before my eyes as there was no way I could take that blast. But if a first-year in training managed to knock me out, what kind of a hero would I become? How would I change the hero society if I failed so early? I snapped back to see him pulling back the pin. I knew I was too slow to try and dodge to the side of the blast, so there was only one direction to go, down. I leaned back, falling over the edge of the building, throwing out my grappling hook as I fell. I released a sigh of relief as the hook caught onto the building, stopping my descent meters above the ground.

"The exercise is now over."

I feel like this is a bit too all or nothing for their second exercise. USJ is more intense due to outside villains attacking with lethal intent. This is an exercise run by Eraserhead, I feel he should have stepped in around the time the building fell on the hardening quirk guy, or when the Mc offered mercy to Mr indiscriminate lightning attack. All they are doing by acting like this during an exercise like this is to promote using excessive force at all times. None of this beyond Aizawa's kid seems like a nonlethal take down. Maybe frog girl too, but the amount of force she used to throw around MC is a bit much.

Denying her offer of mercy just tells everyone in the future to bash his head in until he's unconscious with a concusion(leading to dangerous brain injuries).

I'm hoping the teachers give a proper lecture and demonstrate how to run this kind of thing properly, rather than throw them in the deep end so much. You don't learn how to defuse bombs by just giving kids live explosives and say try to cut one of the wires.

I did kinda overdo it with the stakes or rather with what the characters perceived the stakes to be. But I think I can explain this in the future and use it as a valuable lesson. Thank you for pointing it out.
