I usually sort by last message when I am just browsing, but it is frustrating when people keep messaging in a thread that hasn't been updated for days/weeks. I would like an option to simply sort by the last thread mark instead.
 
I think that becomes an option in XF2. Questionable Questing is still on XF1, although we've been lurching towards XF2 for years now.
