• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

So I'm not sure if this is a problem on my end or not but the Alert button seams a bit unreliable.

Roughly half the time i get the drop down and the other half it go's to the alert page.

This is most notable when I'm checking a new notification.

What I've noticed on desktop browser, is that if the alert button does not have the alert modal showing under it, clicking the alert button will have that modal show. If the modal IS showing, clicking on the alert button will take you to the alerts page.

I see so i am going to assume it is a problem on my side then. After some troubleshooting it seams to happen when i refresh a page.

Looks like a browser memory issue.

Thank you for the response.

On my end it's consistent on how it messes up. If the page is fully loaded then it loads the drop down. If the page is still loading, typically stuck with some ad, then clicking takes me to the alert page.

Uh, QQ doesn't have ads. If you're getting ads here, you have some kind of virus on your computer.

You are correct, I've combined the same situation from QQ with SB and SV. On all of them, if the page is still loading when I click alerts I get sent to the alerts page instead of getting the drop down. It happens more often on those site because of the ads slowing things down but if I'm quick enough I get the same thing on QQ.
