I'm not sure what I want to see more: Calvin & Hobbes (and somtimes Suzy) dealing with supernatural problems, or the aftermath of supernatural problems.
Also, whenever the three of them go out together:
Random person: 'Hey, did anyone ever tell you three-'
The Trio: *eyeroll* 'We Know, we look like the cast of the Calvin and Hobbes comic.'
Hobbes: 'Although, to be fair; it's great for making normal people dismiss us as a hallucination or dream.'
Finally someone wrote a WOD/CofD crossover were I knew about the setting.
Newspaper Cartoons > Anime. Proof me wrong.
This is a good fic but either it needs a bit more length before people commit to reading and commenting or the people on this forum aren't familiar with Calvin and Hobbes and its "world" .
I can't speak too much for other people but I think its pretty common for people to "feel out" a fic and not commit themselves emotionally to it, or be willing to post until its a certain length, or they are just really bored and looking for something to read, especially if they are not familiar with the verse/cross over. "New fics" from "proven authors" tend to get more slack and immediate comments from the start.
I know that's generally true for me. Unless I stumble onto a concept that I really like, I tend to avoid most stories that are under 10-20k words (depending on how I'm feeling at the time).I can't speak too much for other people but I think its pretty common for people to "feel out" a fic and not commit themselves emotionally to it, or be willing to post until its a certain length, or they are just really bored and looking for something to read, especially if they are not familiar with the verse/cross over. Surprisingly though, one of the few exceptions is 'snippet threads'; probably because I know what I'm getting into there.
Calvin has to be decently old here since he's the Governor of Ohio, but it sounded like Suzie is a kid. If Suzie died in 2060 and Calvin died in 2022, that might imply that the time is synced up between worlds.
