This thread will be dedicated to an AU based around the comedy idea of of Sora becoming ludicrously strong before leaving the Destiny Islands and how it effects people and events around him.

It will host the main story of Level 100 Sora, discussions, and side material that may not be canon to the story. All canon story scenes will be threadmarked as such in order to avoid confusion.

If you have any jokes or scenes that you were inspired to write based on the premise, feel free to post them as the engagement helps fuel the main story.

Prologue: Dive to the Heart
After a series of experiences that he could only describe as a fever dream, Sora finally managed to plant his feet on solid ground.

He looked with wonder at the plateau of glowing staned glass he stood upon. The main figure depicted within was a beautiful lady with a series of smaller figures around her.

So much to do,

"Huh?" Sora looked up to where the voice seemed to be coming from but found nothing but darness as far as the eye could see.

So little time...

Take your time.

Don't be afraid.

The boy thought for a moment, "What...would I be afraid of?"

The door is still shut.

Now step forward. Can you do it?

Sora began to walk forward, feeling for a moment like he was walking against the wind before that strage pressure disappeared.

Three lights shone down from above and beneath each a stone pedestal rose from the ground.

Power sleeps within you.

As the voice spoke, an object manifested above each platform; a shield, a scepter, and a sword, all bearing a symbol he didn't know the significance of, a large circle with two smaller ones above.

If you give it form...

It will give you strength.

Sora went to each object in turn and listened as the voice described them in ominous and fantastical ways. Thinking for a moment, he ran back to the scepter and grabbed it.

Is this the pow-what are you doing?

Before the voice had even begun to speak he had ran back to the other two platforms and grabbed the sword and shield before placing them on the ground.

After a few experimental waves, he got the scepter to react and begin spitting out small stars, which he blew onto the back of the shield, changing its one handle to a more manageable two and positioning them that the point on the 'bottom' of the shield would be towards the knuckles.

"Yeah, it'll be way more useful if I can punch with it!"

....So you choose the staff and shield and rejec-what are you doing now!?

As the voice was questioning him, he was placing the pommels of the sword and scepter together. With a star-showered glow of the rod the two were fused. Sora gave the new weapon a few experimental swings, smiling and nodding with pride.

"Now I've got a magic sword with a long handle for more reach and leverage, plus it's got a club on the other end. This is way better!"

That is not how this works.

"It's my dream and I have a magic staff. Why shouldn't I be able to do this?

....You know what, alright. Lets just move on.

Some time later, Sora had been directed through combat against a number of small but fairly weak creatures and had been made to perform several simple tasks, all the while advancing from one platform to another.

Partway through, he'd been confronted by illusions of his friends back on their island, asking him wierd questions. Afterwards he simply wound up back on a platform where he had to fight more of those things.

"This dream's kinda...confusing."

A pathway opened up to the next platform, prompting him to run up. At the top, a bight light was shining down from above.

The closer you get to the light,
the greater your shadow becomes.

Sora looked back at the shadow in question and was quite unnerved when it began to move on its own. The specter in question lifted itself from the floor and stood up, causing Sora to back away as a feeling of wrongness overcame him.

But don't be afraid.

The shadow grew into an enormous monster that towered above the boy.

And don't forget...

As he continued to back away, he quickly found himself with no more floor to stand on, and was forced to face the creature.

Summoning his weapons to his hands, he fought, and after a breif but grueling battle the giant fell to its knees and began swiping at him, pushing him again towards the edge.

But don't be afraid.

The floor beneath Sora became envoloped in the same darkness that the creature had pulled the smaller ones from and the teen began slowly sinking.

And don't forget....You hold the mightiest weapon of all.

He struggled to get free as fear overtook him.

You are the one who will open the door.
---

Sora opened his eyes to the shining sun and the clear, blue sky. He sat up and looked out to sea the sea stretching across the horizon. With a yawn he leaned back to continue his sleep only to be shocked awake by Kairi.

She teased him about napping while there was work to do on their raft and bopped him on the head lightly when he tried to describe the vivid dream he'd had.

Then Riku showed up to chastise them both.

As Riku and Kairi were talking, Sora began to think to himself, 'If we're going on this journey together, there could be all kinds of monsters out there, just like that one. I don't want to feel helpless like that again, especially not with Kairi and Riku depending on me.'

After finishing a quick race with the two, Sora climbed back up to Tidus' favorite spot overlooking the beach.

"Hey, Tidus! You up for some sparring today?"

The Fruits of Effort
It had been four days since Sora had begun his enhanced training and he had been running Selphie, Wakka, and Tidus ragged the whole time with sparring matches. Today, they had suggested that he was ready to take the three of them on as a group for the first time.

Only Riku had ever managed to do so before, quickly defeating all three of them with his usual ease. However, Sora was determined. He knew that if he was going to protect his friends on their journey, he would have to become even stronger than that, even stronger than Riku.

The trio surrounded him as they got ready to begin.

After they all signalled that they're prepared, Selphie called, "You ready?"

Immediately Tidus and Selphie rushed Sora, forcing him to turn and run to make distance. Meanwhile Wakka had the same idea, setting up a throw. Thinking quickly, Sora deflected the shot back at Selphie, the impact catching her off guard, and countered an attack from Tidus.

Quickly going on the offensive he began attacking the younger two, which Wakka made him pay for with a hit to the side.

Refocusing his attention, Sora deflected Wakka's next big spike back at himself and rushed him down with a quick combo. Unfortunately, the older boy wasn't stunned for long and countered with a spinning punch, kocking Sora back towards his other opponents.

The young man found himself surrounded and could only desperately fight his way out. Focusing on Selphie, he let out a quick flurry of blows to try and make a gap in their trap. Just as Tidus and Wakka were going to attack him from behind, however, something miraculous happened.

As he finished his assault, it was as if he could feel something within himself push outward. Next thing he knew there was an orange, sparking bubble around him and his friends cried out in pain, the younger two dropping to their backs and the older falling to one knee.

"Whoa!" Sora gasped, "Are-are you guys alright?"

Tidus was the first to start recovering, leaning up from the ground on his elbows with a grimace. "What the heck was that?" he asked.

Sora looked at his wooden sword and hands. "I...I don't know. I've never done that before."

Wakka finally shook off the effect and began helping up the other two.

"Owowow!" Selphie griped as Wakka lifted her from the ground. "My whole body feels like I hit a funny bone..."

"That was combat magic," the older boy answered. "I'd heard of some old soldiers bein' able to to do stuff like that, but I never thought I'd see it in person. Least of all from someone younger than me. Crazy, mon'."

They all shared looks of surprise.

Sora once again looked at his hands, "I can do magic?" he said under his breath. "Whoa."

He was startled out of his thoughts whenn Tidus and Selphie got up in his face.

"Dude," Tidus exclaimed, "You've gotta show us how you did that!"

Selphie nodded excitedly, "Yeah, it's only fair, right?"

The teen scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "I don't really know how I did it myself but, if we can figure it out....sure!"

The four began to talk enthusiastically, trying to figure out how to do it again.

Level 100 Reached New
Riku and Sora stood atop the plateau across the bridge.

Riku gave his sword a few test swings, "Alright Sora, it's the first of the month so the win-loss record resets. Let's see if you can get the first point this time."

Sora smiled, eager to test out the end results of all of the last month, "I've been training like crazy to get ready to set sail!"

"Yeah, I've been watching you down there." he laughed, "I'm impressed, but Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie haven't managed to beat me yet. Let's see if you're any better."

Riku did his signature move of jumping over his opponent to attack from behind but as he was falling he saw that Sora had already turned around, readying an overhead strike.

The moment his foot hit the ground he pushed himself to the side just in time for the swing to miss.

The sound of roaring waves filled his ears and he turned his head to see a short stretch of seabed emptied of water and a bisected shark, halves flopping on the sand.

By the time he had registered that the ocean had just been parted, he also noticed Sora's next attack. The horizontal swipe connected with his arm and ribs and that was the last thought that passed through his head before his head passed through a palm tree and his body dug a small trench into the beach below the plateau.

Sora pumped his fist and cheered, "Now the score's 1 to 0!......Riku?"

A Seat With a View New
Riku walked up the dock where Selphie and Kairi are looking out at the sea, "There you are, Kairi. You're supposed to be getting food for the raft. What's taking so long?"

"Sorry Riku," she apologized, "I was just taking a break to enjoy the view."

He followed the girls' gaze, "What view?"

As if on cue, Sora stood up, out of the sea, water running down his newly acquired muscles as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Oh, hey guys!" he waved, "Sorry I'm taking a break from work. I was just taking a dip to get the sweat off."

Riku stood there for a moment before shaking his head with a sigh, "Whatever. While you're in there, catch some fish for the boat rations. I'll smoke them up after."

Sora smiled brightly, "Got it!" then dove back into the water.

Before Riku even had a chance to leave the dock, a swordfish, grouper and a large eel slammed into the sand of the beach from above.

The silver haired boy rolled his eyes and yelled out to sea, "When you're done with that, grab some more wood. We're gonna need a bigger raft since you went and invited the others!"

"Yeah, okay!" Sora called back, quickly swimming back to shore and ran to the tree line.

"Well," Selphie sighed in obvious disappointment, "It was a nice view while it lasted."

First Impressions New
A man in a brown cloak peeked out of the cave that held the keyhole for the heart of Destiny Islands. Looking down to the beach he saw a shockingly toned boy practicing his sword swings, which wouldn't be very surprising had he not been swinging a tree.

"H-he's so jacked!" the cloaked man whispered. "What are they feeding that kid?"

As if on cue, Sora picked up a coconut and bit into its shell as if it were an apple.

The figure stood there silently for a moment, "I really hope that's not the one who gets the Keyblade."

Race for the Paopu Fruit New
Today it was Kairi's job to help gather provisions for the raft. It was hard finding so much food on the tiny island but fortune was smiling on her today as she had spotted a huge, edible mushroom in the shade of an alcove in the wall of a cliff.

The only problem? The big boulder that hid the mushroom from the sun was also blocking her from getting to it. She tried once more to reach it with the longest stick she could find, her shoulder squeezed tight between the rock and wall.

Suddenly the pressure relieved and the boulder lifted away. Looking up, she saw the smiling face of Sora and the large stone perched lightly on his shoulder.

"Hey Kairi. Need something in there?" He asked.

With a small smile of gratitude she stood and dusted herself off, then entered to alcove and plucked the large shroom. "Yeah, this mushroom will be good for the food stocks on the raft," she answered. "It's gonna be long, so we'll need all we can find."

"Hey, Sora!"

The two turned to the new voice and saw Riku appoaching from around the corner of the cliff.

The older boy placed a hand on his hip, "I was thinking that we need a name for our raft. How about, Highwind?"

Sora thought for a moment, "How about....Excalibur?"

Riku smirked, "How about...."

Sora returned the gesture, "The usual?"

Kairi laughed, "You two will compete over anything. Alright, I get to be the judge then!"

The three walked to the door that separated the two sides of the beach, near the crumbling bridge.

Standing at the starting line, they got into position.

"Ready," Kairi raised her hand.

"Those muscles may have let you beat me in a fight, but they'll just weigh you down in a race," Riku taunted.

"Set.....Go!"

The two took off.

Sora took a quick lead but Riku was certain that he knew a shortcut that would let him come out on top. When a plank unexpectedly broke under Sora's greater weight and dropped him to the ground, Riku sprinted to the ledge to the left of the ladder leading to the zipline.

From there he ran to the trees, planning to do the first leg of the course in reverse. "Sora could never make that jump!" he smiled to himself.

Sora made that jump, and was very quickly behind him. Riku heard Sora hop across the treetops behind him.

Even as he landed on the platform with the star tree, Sora had caught up with him. Their hands touched the tree at the same time and Sora was just slightly faster to turn.

The younger boy was a little too eager, however, and lept forward with too much force. When he landed back on the coconut tree, it bent deeply underneath his weight.

Riku was already jumping to that same tree before he noticed.

With no suface to land on Riku fell right into the upper trunk of the tree.

Then Sora jumped, releasing the tree to return to its proper position and sending Riku on a short flight into the cliff face and sticking him there.

The last thing he heard before losing consciousness was, "Now the score's 50 to 0!"

Paopu Limit? New
Kairi and Selphie sat on the curved paopu tree on the plateau, watching Sora and the boys sparring while Selphie took a breather,

"Kairi," she began.

The other girl answered, "Yeah?"

"Let's promise to never fight over a boy," Selphie continued. She then held up her pinky finger.

"Deal!" Kairi laughed, meeting the finger with her own and sealing it with a shake. "Friends before romance."

Selphie seemed to sigh in relief, ".....So, do you think there's a way for more than two people to share a paopu fruit?"

She then let out a scream as Kairi nonchalantly pushed her off the tree and into the water.

Who’s Gonna Save the World Tonight? New
Waiting in his room for dinner, Sora had heard the beginnings of a storm. Worried about the raft, he'd rowed back to the island as quickly as he could. At the dock, Kairi and Riku's boats were already present.

He found the island swarming with those shadowy monsters from his dream and an enourmous ball of darkness floating in the air above. Sora quickly set about trying to fight them off. Despite all of his strength and training, his sword passed right through them.

The only thing that managed to effect them was his Stun Impact, which would pop several of them at a time but it was still barely making a dent.

Seeing Riku on his plateau, Sora leaped up to the bridge and ran to him.

The next several minutes were.....confusing, to say the least.

Riku monologued about how he didn't fear the darkness and that now they could travel to other worlds before they were both pulled into the same shadowy pit that had swallowed him in his dream.

There was a bright flash and he was suddenly holding a new weapon that looked like a giant key. The same voice from the dream spoke it's name, Keyblade.

The monsters appeared again, rising from the ground as they always did, and surrounded him.

With a quick Vortex spin strike, they were all destroyed with a single swing. Looking down at the weapon, he smiled, knowing the tides had turned.

He ran all about the island slaughtering those Shadows, trying to make a dent in their population as he looked around for Kairi. With this new weapon, destroying them was almost laughably easy. In spite of that, the creatures wouldn't stop coming, though he did notice that they weren't appearing in such large numbers anymore.

Ultimately, he only had one place left to check. The Secret Place.

Running to the base of the giant tree, he noticed an ornate door that didn't belong there. Ignoring it, he entered the cave.

Inside was Kairi but she looked terrible. She was standing in front of that mysterious door at the back of the cave and was looking back at him with a tired, almost empty-eyed expression.

"Sora," as soon as she called his name, the door flew open and released a gust of that same dark power those creatures used. Kairi was thrown towards him but as she reached his arms, she vanished. Then the gust threw him out of the cave and all the way to the beach.

Standing back up, he was shocked to see that, all around him, his world was gone. All that was left were some rocks floating in the void.

While he was taking in the horror of what he was seeing, the ground began to rumble. Looking behind him, he saw the same giant monster he had faced and been swallowed by in his dream. Sora glared at the beast and set his jaw firmly. He wasn't as weak as he had been back then.

The boy lunged forward towards it and the beast took a swipe at him. He batted it's hand aside and struck it's leg, bringing it to its knees.

The monster howled in pain as it began to rain down bolts of darkness onto him. Much like he had with Wakka, Sora deflected the projectiles back into his opponent's face, stunning it.

Leaping up onto it's chest, Sora brought the Keyblade down hard into the creature's face. Beneath his feet it's body faded away into more whisps of darkness.

The islander looked around for more of the creatures to fight but none came. It was just....destruction, as far as the eye could see. Sora grit his teeth and turned his eyes upward to the only remaining thing he could see, the enormous orb of darkness hovering above him.

Looking down at the Keyblade in his hand for a moment, he decided that it was all or nothing.

He pulled his arms back and put every muscle he had into one mighty throw upwards. With a yell, the weapon flew through the air in a streak of light until it collided with the ball. Sora gulped when the sphere held for a moment but after a brief strain it popped like a balloon and he heard something somewhereroar out in pain.

There was a bright, blinding flash that forced Sora to cover his eyes. When he opened them again, he was standing on the sandy beach of his island, watching the waves lap against the shore on a clear and cloudless night.

Then, movement brought his attention back above him. First one, then another, then an entire shower of shooting stars began streaking through the sky. He began hearing splashes and thumps all around him. Looking for the source, he saw small meteors beginning to land all over the island. Sora carefully approached one and was surprised to see that it was made of a substance that he had never seen before. He reached down and picked it up. The object was rigid at first but became somewhat....squishy...and malleable when he applied pressure. Walking over to another piece to compare them, he was caught off guard when they stuck together firmly.

Then his attention was drawn by a rumbling above and Sora looked up just in time to see a much larger and more fiery meteor take out one of the palm trees on the plateau. Climbing up, Sora was greeted with a chest, heavily encrusted with that weird material. After he put a respectable amount of effort into cleaning up the chest, he set about trying to open it. A little tug from the Keyblade had convinced him to try and tap on it.

He heard the locking mechanism click and the chest flung open. The boy looked inside and found a single sheet of paper. From the look of it, he surmised that it was probably a page torn out of a book.

"Ansem's Report 9," he read aloud.

"'Simply astonishing! Today I had a guest from another world. He is a king, and his vessel is built of the material that composed the meteors. He called the pieces "gummi blocks". It seemed that my opening the door has opened a path to interworld travel.'

Whoa!" Sora looked at the stuff in his hand. "I could make a spaceship out of these!?"

He returned to reading with new urgency, "'We talked for countless hours, but one story in particular caught my interest: that of a key called the 'Keyblade'."

Once again the islander was jolted from his reading. He dropped the gummi pieces and called the Keyblade to his hand, examining it.

"'The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it. I must know what this Keyblade is. A key opens doors. It must be connected to the door I have opened.'......."

Sora pondered for a moment, first looking at the Keyblade then at the restored island around him, "Keyblade..... Well, it did save the world this time. But.....did it call those things here in the first place?"

Shaking those thoughts out of his head, Sora refocused his attention on what was important. Kairi and Riku had gone missing during all of that mess and hadn't reappeared when he fixed it.

The young man stuffed the page into his pocket and got in his boat, rowing as hard as he could for home. He needed to talk to everyone about this.

The Journey Begins New
Explaining to everyone what had happened had been a bit difficult. The adults had been especially skeptical. However, they had all seen the destruction those things had wrought and they'd seen enough of Sora's new strength around town to believe that he'd saved them.

The Mayor, his wife, and Riku's grandmother were heartbroken to hear that Kairi and Riku had been lost. Seeing their faces, Sora was certain about what to do next. Riku had confidently said that those creatures would take them to another world, so that's where Sora would have to look.

He told everyone about the meteors that had showered the islands last night after the darkness had been chased away and the page he found detailing what they were. To find his friends, Sora would go to other worlds and look for where they would have ended up.

That was when Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie came out of the crowd.

"You're not about to leave us outta this," the redhead said.

"Yeah!" continued Tidus. "They're our friends too."

Selphie placed her hands on her hips and nodded.

Sora was unsure, "Guys, this won't be like our sparring matches on the island. Those things are dangerous."

Selphie got up in his face, causing him to stumble backwards,

"You may not have noticed, Sora," the girl admonished. "But you're not the only one who's gotten stronger."

Tidus patted him roughly on the back, "Yeah man, we'll watch your back. If there's anything that we can't handle, we'll have you with us, right?"

"Strength in numbers ain't just a saying mon," Wakka hammered the final nail in this conversation's coffin, forcing Sora to relent.

"Alright, but that still leaves the question of how. Do any of you know how to build a spaceship?" the boy asked.

Tidus answered, "I don't know about that, but I think I know someone who can get us started."
-

Later, Tidus introduced the group to his uncle Ronny, the self-proclaimed "Best Carpenter, Electrician, and Mechanic on the Destiny Islands."

The man was, as he'd said, a jack of all trades around town, helping build houses and fixing them up, as well as working on the few cars around. He had converted an old school bus into a mobile home around back which Tidus thought would be pretty useful since they didn't know how long the journey would take and they wanted to be comfortable.

They presented him with all of the gummi blocks people had managed to gather up so far from around all of the islands and he took some time to work out the different properties they each had. He tested out his different tools on them to see how exactly he would need to shape the material into something he could build with.

Finally, he settled on using his woodworking tools to carve the blocks since that seemed to get the best results. The handyman told them that he and his guys would need about a week to get everything ready.

The kids agreed and decided that, in the meantime, they would make preparations, gather supplies and.....say their goodbyes.
-

The first day of waiting, Sora and the the trio returned to their island playground to look around one last time, gather up the food supplies for the raft (no sense leaving it to rot after all), and to inspect Kairi and Riku's last known locations for any clues.

Searching the plateau gave no results. The platform showed no signs of anything supernatural from Riku sinking into the dark. So, reluctantly, they made their way into the Secret Place at the base of the tree, where Kairi had disappeared.

Inside, they immediately noticed something new.

"Hey, look!" Selphie called. "There's a big keyhole in that door now."

The boys looked and saw that it was true. After a moment of examination, the Keyblade appeared in Sora's hand and pulled his arm up to point at the keyhole. A bright light shone at the head of the weapon and fired into the center of the door and there was a sound like a huge locking mechanism clunking shut.

The keyhole faded away as mysteriously as it had appeared and the gang all hoped that was a good thing.
-

At home, Sora's parents hadn't been happy about him leaving to some other world out there so soon after theirs nearly ended. What parents would be? But they knew that he could take care of himself and were mostly just sad that they wouldn't see him again for an unknown amount of time. The day of departure, they saw him off at the launching site near the beach outside of town and, after the tightest hug they could manage, they stepped back into the crowd. The others showed up and he saw that not all of them had been so lucky.

"Wakka! What happened to your eye?" he cringed.

The older boy shook his head, "My mom tried to scare me outta going and went overboard. I get that she's scared of me dying out there but man, that really hurt!....." He sighed, "She couldn't even bare to watch me go, mon."

Sora, Tidus, and Selphie each placed a sympathetic hand on Wakka's shoulders.

Then the ceremony commenced, nearly the whole town had come to see them off.

The Mayor gave an uplifting speech about them being, "Town Heroes," and how they'll be having, "magnificent adventures!" but as the crowd cheered he turned to them with a worried look.

"I'm so sorry to put this on you all. But please, bring my daughter home safely." the man begged them. "And your friend Riku as well. That boy means the world to his grandmother."

The team gave him their most confident smiles.

"Hey, don't worry!" Tidus cheered.

Sora continued, "We promise to bring everyone home safely. That's a guarantee!"

The man smiled, "Thank you." He then coughed the lump out of his throat and turned to the crowd once more, "Now everyone, let's give our heroes a proper send off!"

The four teens waved to the roaring crowd as they stepped into the large gummi ship one by one before closing the door.

Wakka and Tidus got the front seats since Wakka had a driver's license and Tidus lived closest to the workshop where the ship was built so he had the most practice with the controls.

Switches were flipped, buttons were pressed, and dials were turned.

Tidus called back, "Everyone ready?"

They gave the affirmative.

"Alright," Wakka spoke tensely, "Here we go!"

The ship began to hum when it lifted off of the ground before the engines started to roar and they were all pushed back into there seats while land gave way to sea beneath them.

After a few seconds Wakka and Tidus pulled back on the controls and the ship began tilting up and away from the surface, slowly heading into a vertical thrust into the air. It took only a minute to reach beyond their world's sky.

The four were mesmerized by the image before them. A psychedelic canvas of pink and purple dotted with stars and technicolor asteroids.

"Wait wait wait!" Selphie demanded. "Turn around for a second. What does our world look like?"

The boys smiled at the idea and quickly agreed, rotating the ship to face their home.

The breath caught in their throats. They saw an endless expanse of blue speckled with countless islands all over its surface.

Sora was the first to speak, "Wow. It....it always seemed so small before but, look how much of it we've never seen."

"I can't even tell which of those islands we came from," Selphie said in awe.

They just stayed there for a while, staring, and realizing for the first time the sheer scope of what they were doing.

Tidus looked at the floor, "Are you guys sure we're ready for this?"

They all looked unsure for a moment before Sora steeled himself, "Riku and Kairi are out there somewhere. They're all alone out there and I plan on finding them, no matter what!"

The spirits of the crew lifted at that with enthusiastic nods all around.

"Well," Wakka said as he turned the ship towards what the astronomers had marked as the nearest star. "Guess it's time to go then."

And just like that, the four friends began a journey that would decide the fates of countless worlds.
