You know, waking up in a random ass warehouse after i clearly remember getting blown up by a water heater i was fixing was sorta not the most weirdest thing I've experienced to be honest.
sure this is some interdimensional type level of fuckery, but i think getting flashed by a homeless hooker screaming that he, and yes i said 'He', was sexy takes the number one spot.
But i digress, getting back to the topic at hand i had stood up and dusted myself off. The soft echo of me doing so and the dim darkness that enshrouded the warehouse pretty much being the only thing i could point out as i briefly looked around.
there were also a few shadows of large objects i could make out with the help of the dim moonlight coming through the window, but besides that nothing else much.
i couldn't tell were i was standing though and if i was close to a wall or not which sucked total ass. i really didn't want to be stumbling around this warehouse without knowing what was where.

...Trains? like... diesel engines? like the engines Union pacific railroad and norfolk southern railway use to pull small passenger trains and large cargo trains?
cause if so, then i might as well ask for a direct path to heaven. fuck them boxes on wheels. can't even call those shit trains man.
if anything, the only diesels that have any right to be chugging are the ones the sorta like the B.R. class 08. that shit is nasty sex on wheels.

All of a sudden the light in the warehouse flashed on, blinding me for an instant at the intensity of the light.
"fucking hell." were the first ever words i uttered in this universe, honestly i could've said worst.
but as my eyes adjusted to the light, my vision gifted to me the sight of a pretty much barren small warehouse with three lines of tracks, individually each holding something on there own.
on the far right track were four small coaches in LNWR livery. on the left were six LNWR small trucks. and finally in the middle was the very engine itself.
walking up to it i admired the old dark-plum red that adorned its body. built around the 1850's, these small but beautiful engines were ahead of there time. and now i got to drive one of them.
shit, if played my cards right, i'd be able to drive all of them.
"well then. time to get his show on the road i guess." i gave a brief smile as i walked over towards the cab. reaching up towards the handle to climb aboard, i could feel my excitement bubbling towards this new adventure. only for said excitement to be instantly snubbed as i smash face first into an invisible barrier.
"what the fuck?!" i held my stinging nose as i looked up to were i apparently collided with something.
There, floating in place, was a giant red floating sign that said 'No Entry'.

Huh, interesting premise. This reminds me of a "Shopkeeper" type of story, but bigger in a way? Will this basically be him being a nomadic one man caravan in the multiverse or more of a "bulk" buy and sell affair? I could see him loading up on like Lyrium or Dust and delivering to a world witout magic to break the bank. Or find a world with a food shortage, stock up on cheap food in another world and sell at a premium. This really feels like he could get a controlled monopoly on literaly anything. Or the "caravan" route, buy interesting stuff, go to a new place, lay it out and barter

pretty much, but without the whole nomad part.
though passenger trains are gonna be something i'm gonna have to figure out on how properly benefit the MC, Cargo trains will probably be the go to for now. like how you said on the dime, im writing a 'buy and sell' concept where the MC goes to different universes collecting either worker/slaves or items to either sell or improve his own station into his ow image. RWBY, Transformers, Ben 10 and whatever other universes either i come up with or other views recommend.

A great idea there. They can also be used to take advantage of characters in need of transport, like getting Frodo to Mt. Doom in no time or helping Harry Potter get to Hogwarts in book 2 then to the Ministry in book 5, etc. Can help all sorts of characters skip travel time for a small fee
