  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

I'm not sure if this is a suggestion because it can't be done right now, or a question because it can. If it's the latter I apologize, but I couldn't find a better place to ask.

I quoted some text from fanfiction.net and I wanted to have the little up arrow next to the "X said:" link to the chapter on the site. I couldn't work out how to do that.

A unattributed quote uses [ quote]
An attributed quote uses [ quote=Name]
A quote with a link to the post is [ quote="Name, post: postID, member: memberID"], though it seems that member part isn't required.

I tried
[ quote="Test, url: http://example.com"] and
[ quote="Test, link: http://example.com"] and
[ quote="Test, post: http://example.com"] and
[ quote="Test, http://example.com"]

Though each one tries to do something, none of them work.

Are there any other attributes you can add when uses [ quote] BBcode, specifically to create a link to external websites?

Thanks.

The BBcode is designed to work with the forum's software, hence the post ID. That points to the specific entry of the database, and software constructs a link from that to take you to the appropriate page.

Basically, just use the url tag to create a source link in the first line of the quote.
