Vote Thread for Ack's Omake Corner

This is the voting thread for my SFW stories (look in my sig for the full list).

For those who are new to this:

I write Worm fanfic. A lot of it. I have a stack of ongoing stories, linked below, and so I need some sort of guidance as to which one I should be updating at any time. And so, I started a vote thread.

The way it works is, once I finish a chapter and post it, I tally up the current run of votes (usually takes me 36-96 hours to do a chapter) and add the vote point totals to each ongoing story total. When I post a chapter to a story, that total reverts to zero, and starts climbing the charts again (the votes that were cast while I was writing the chapter get added after I zero the total).

Your job is to vote. Up to six votes are cast per person, per voting round, as according to the guidelines below. The stories you vote on might not win this round, or the next, or even the one after that, but because the winning stories are being zeroed out, if you keep voting, that story will reach the top of the heap eventually.

From time to time, I will post a chapter in a story out of voting order; that's my prerogative. I will also post the chapter that's been voted to the top, so hey, you get that as well.

The stories up for voting are:


Alea Iacta Est - Taylor triggers with a variation on Dinah Alcott's power. (the title is Latin for 'let the die be cast')
Confrontation II - Sequel to Confrontation; Taylor and Sophia work to overcome their differences.
Hostage Situation - Amy Dallon spends time with an old minion of her father's, and makes a startling decision.
I, Panacea - Sequel to Security!. Mike Allen ends up in Amy Dallon's head, after the bank robbery.
One More Trigger - Emma triggers in the alley, when she meets Shadow Stalker. Many things change.
Reality Intrudes - a Worm/Matrix crossover.
Recoil - New Delhi goes badly. Taylor is sent back 22 years into the past, to try to fix matters.
War Games - Crossover between Worm and the Human Polity series by Neal Asher (go read it!).
Wyvern - Taylor turns into a dragon. Hijinks ensue.

SFW:
Junior Hero - A non-Taylor-centric story of a Brockton Bay teenager getting powers and joining the Wards.
Nemesis - A cranky git wakes up in an alley with electrical powers, and no memory of how he got them. This can only end well.
Slippery Slope - Taylor makes friends at Winslow. Unfortunately, they are the Empire Eighty-Eight.

MirrorVerse - Heroes are villains, and villains, heroes.

While you're voting, I'll consider which one I want to write anyway.

EDIT: Any posting I do to my quests will be separate to this; votes for same will not be counted.

I will tally votes as I get them, and work on what people want the most. Each time I post something, I will clear the votes for that one.

People can vote after each update.

Check the threadmarks for the current winning vote.


The voting rules go as follows:

1) UP TO six votes. I will not count anything extra, and a write-in will likely be ignored (if I want to write a different story, I will, but at my own discretion).
2) First vote is worth six points, second is worth five, and so on.
3) You can't vote twice on the same story. First vote is the only one that counts.
4) If I say "Voting is CLOSED", then post the vote tally, with "Voting is OPEN" at the bottom, then you can vote again.
5) If I say "Voting will continue", it's still the same voting period. Voting has not restarted. You can not vote a second time.
6) If you vote for a story that is not on the voting list, those point(s) will go to the story that got the least number of vote points that round.

And it's Recoil again, not much to anyone's surprise. Time to see how Captain Taylor Snow of the PRT is doing.

After this, I strongly suspect it will be another look at Confrontation.

Interesting note: I, Panacea blasted past Recoil on this round, with 75 vote points over 67.

It happens. Not a big deal. Admittedly, one doesn't like doing it. I've had things I've checked >30 times and still missed errors and been quite frustrated. Especially when I didn't find out until years later when it was much too late to fix them.
