With the Ancestor running around, Shazam may not have thought it was necessary to empower Teth because someone else was doing things like slaying monsters.

A quick look shows Hector was Silver Scarab, Sandman, and Doctor Fate at various points in his career.

There is just so much wrong with the galaxy that by the time Paul would have gotten to Thanagar, they'd have most likely fixed their own shit just like you said.

The fact that Alan mentioned that he looks older than Diana indicates that unlike the main Paul, the Ancestor doesn't look like a teenager or young adult.

He may choose an older appearance in order for people to take him more seriously.

You're not exactly going to think that someone that just finished puberty qualifies as an ancestor.

No, no- that's probably not where Mr Zoat is going with this character. I imagine after seeing how Paul's character development track was redirected away from GrimDark by John Constantine's field trip to Nega-Alan Scott, we might be gearing up for another Big Question. Our Paul, paragon Orange Lantern, is a bit stagnant compared to a normal human. Which is fine, it certainly works for some depictions of Superman or long-running characters in non-superhero fiction. But Paul will be better equipped to survive and defeat people like Darkseid if he challenges the more fundamental parts of himself. Meeting Primordial-Paul, who has changed significantly from the baseline, sounds like it could help. Especially if their souls touch quite closely, with the highest setting of Paul's revamped empathy-sense.

Also noteworthy? Primordial Paul has either aged, or he has been locked into his pre-ring age, physically.

Ehh, it may work.

If I remember correctly, Renegade mentioned that magic was everywhere, but then the Guardians did something that changed the connection with the Dreaming, and so now magic is rarer.

Didn't Ancestor!Paul start with an Orange Ring but no Lantern? IIRC every version of Paul starts with only a Ring and has to find/commission/simulate an Orange Lantern.

I would suggest the TV Tropes recap page. It has a legend to help search for specific POV characters. However, keep in mind that almost all Ancestor POV labeled episodes are actually through the POV of those who met him or talked to people who met him.

I think that he'd be willing to take prisoners. 'Turn their entire fetid species into tools' would have a certain appeal, but he'd probably resist it as a morally decent person.

Hell yeah, I love seeing a Ancestor chapter. I can understand why they're so rare, but the puzzle of when, where, and who in the chapter is fun, and finding out what Paul did is great.

If he was there for Hercules' conquest, I wonder if he was there at the Sinking of Atlantis. Of course the arrogance of the key figures there means nothing much changed even with forewarning, I guess.

Off the top of my head, he prevented the meteor that would've created Vandal Savage from crashing onto Earth and convinced Achilles to not join in the Trojan War.
