My VtM Dark Ages players are convinced the Baali Broodmother they are hunting is a chick.

Like, no thought about it. Just 'Brood mother must mean woman.'

They are also convinced because the Broodmother is 12 gen that there must be fucking loads of Baali in Toledo. I have made notes.
Players can be insistent that they are right

There actually aren't any Baali in my LA

There are however Thin bloods who found the books of Baali killed in the 2000s who then worked their demonic magic into their alchemy and made a deal with Judge Holden Demon. A D'habi revenant pretending to be a Tremere is hunting them and goes around being a stereotypical goth who the players met while the Anarchs were going around asking if there were any other blood mages

My players have also determined that a bunch of movies are Anarch propaganda in this universe such as Highlander (the quickening via decapitation is diablerie) featuring a stand in for Baron MacNeil

Also they broke into an influencer farm with their cartel goons dressed up as swat, grabbed everyone they thought might be thin bloods, tortured them and got into a fight with one of the thin bloods who had a spell to flash sunlight in their faces, and proceeded to sell the human influencers mixed in with the thin bloods to the Anarchs after keeping them in a basement for a week to help heal from 4 to 6 Aggravate damage each (the Gangrel got set on fire and entered a wrestling match while a guy hit him with a pan of acid)

I set up this spot. Literally just a camping spot that the Baali they were chasing came upon someone and fed. That was the totality of the situation.

They spent like forty five minutes investigating it for hidden structures and trying to talk to the ghosts.

Even after I said multiple times it was a common camping spot along the road.

Thinbloods being pseudo baali is an interesting angle tbh. Just stumbling into it.

it was a concept I had come up with for a few reasons. Thin bloods often have incomplete understandings of the supernatural and may latch onto what they do find out or their preconceptions. If they do find actual Thaumaturgy books they are going to use a lot of it even if they may be skeptical. A supernatural force that does meet them and find a use for them will have plenty of levers to use as well.

Additionally Thinblood alchemy (one of the few parts of V5 I like) have a bunch of extremist cults such as a pseudo diablerist cult that kills other vampire and uses the ashes as reagents to temporarily get disciplines without rising in generation, and another that wants to sacrifice the 13th gen and below to create philosopher's stones to have World Immortality (without thinking about what that world might look like) so one which becomes influenced by a demon whether they know it or not fits

Wizards thinking they know better than the people before them and think either they know better than the "superstitious" that think it is actual demons (when it is a real demon) or that they can outsmart what they are dealing with are staples

My Gangrel player talked to him a lot and learned that a bunch of WW1 and 2 pilots that got shot down on both sides are vampires now due to kindred stalking around the battlefields with ghouls to get interesting people in the daytime
And knowing that the most interesting people during those wars are often the craziest, those Sky Vamps must wish for a world where they can be the Ace Combat protagonists they were always meant to be.

Bet they get together and play volleyball, if only for the sheer meme of it.

They hear the words "Coffin with wings" and get as excited as Abridged!Alucard is for the SR-71 Blackbird.

So. The plot of the Werewolf: The Apocalypse game I'm playing now is uh. Well. Courtesy of me taking the Ward Flaw and my packmate taking the Fate 5 Background, our Storyteller had a brilliantly wicked idea to mix the two. By making my ward…the Perfect Metis.

So yeah, our clusterfuck of a pack is gonna be raising what will either be Werewolf Jesus or Werewolf Antichrist. It's prophesied that one day he'll either unite the tribes and save Gaia, or kill us all and damn her.

And our ragtag pack's totem is Bear.

Ahahahahahaha, oh my God we are so fucked.

That sounds on point for werewolf

Just without someone saying they should kill the kid

I get the rest, but why is the bear bad?
Bear is the patron spirit of the Gurahl, the werebears. Gaia's healers. Most spirits have requirements that you must meet to call upon their aid.

Bear…has none. He gives you a dot of Strength, three dots in Medicine, the Mother's Touch healing Gift, and friendship with the Gurahl. And he gives you this for free. Because he's Gaia's kindness.

The real cost comes from the rest of Garou Nation, because the Gurahl are enemies of Garou, given the Garou have driven them practically extinct; Bear, and those patronized by him, are not to be trusted. You lose five points of temporary Honor on the spot, and all future Honor gains are reduced by one to a minimum of one.

We decided on him because our pack's got some fukken issues, and a spirit of kindness and healing would be thematically appropriate for overcoming them.

It's just gonna make things even more difficult when dealing with other Garou, because Garou Nation fucking sucks.

Ah, I see. Cunts. Honestly, I feel like the only reason the garou haven't started a civil war yet is because they are distracted by Pentex and no one has found a casus belli pressing enough yet.

they are technically already in one with the Black Spiral Dancers (which predates pentex)

5e continued that further with the Get of Fenris because White Wolf freaked out about them and apparently part of their fanbase were neonazis because they gravitated to the norse theme.

Aka "Because people we dislike like one of our factions we are going to say all of that faction are those people and only those who renounce the faction are allowed to be playable in the way we want you to play the game. The Red Talons want human genocide? Well they are still playable but not Get of Fenris. The Silver Fangs are eugenicists who believe they are the most superior form of werewolf and rulers of the world? Well they are playable but not the get of fenris."

there is also, you know, their conflicts with the Mages over leylines because the Werewolves use them for cairns and mages for their chantries (as do tremere but there is no way for that to end well between the two), also I think Kuei-Jin do that as well but 5e has buried that lore despite the Best Advertisement for their setting being Bloodlines.

I mean, does it count with them killing most every other were-things, or does it have to be contained within the werewolves?

Oh, so they pulled back on the "Even Black Spiral Dancers are more redeemable than Get of Fenris?" line they were doing?

Yeah, I remember something about there being some kind of redemption option for Black Spiral Dancers but the Get of Fenris got nothing like that and were just axiomatically evil I guess.
I remember there being a lore sheet where one of the levels of it was "you were born get of fenris and renounce them for racism"

While the Red Talons are Right Fucking There
