  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Oops! We ran into some problems.

I only use QQ on my phone, and I have to reload the page after reading something because that pops up every time, and it doesn't let me like or comment.

I switched from Chrome to Brave hoping that was the problem, but now it's much worse.

If, IF, memory serves well.
That's a security message, usually means something went wrong aand a security token became invalid.

Refreshing page/restarting browser is the default fix as it refreshes the token.

What actually causes the issue though..honestly best hope is wait for a mod to see this and get them more details.
(Always happens after reading something even if it's a brand new tab opened couple of mins ago or more specific trigger do ditions, any extensions running in the browsers, etc)

Personally it happens if i leave a page open for a/couple of days while browsing other stuff and then return back to it.

This happens to me semi regularly on my phone
and I usually just reload the page. My biggest issue is when I've written a comment and want to post it but have to reload first. Reloading can sometimes erase the comment I was about to post so whenever I see the message I usually if I do t forget copy my post before refreshing.

Ditto.

I don't know the specific cause, unfortunately, though it seems linked to how long the page is open without activity.

I found that this occurs when I have more than one page open and I clear my alerts on one page and return to the other page later. I open the alerts tab which now has an outdated alert count, the number updates to the new count with the error but it doesn't expand the alerts dropdown until I refresh.

Here is alethiophile talking about a related issue. I believe this is known behavior, though your case seems a bit more severe. You could try deleting your browser's app cache or logging out then back in to see if that changes anything.
