My idea for the church of the seven is much like how Christianity follows the believe that god and Jesus are one in the same and form the trinity with the holy spirit. The church of the seven believes that the seven different aspects or faces are all apart of the same god and to be be truly faithful to god means living your life fully in every single aspect.

And some cool architect ideas I have is that they will have towers that will be split in seven down the middle to represent the seven different aspects coming together into one.

What is this one god? That's a problem I had with the Seven, what's the fucking One in the Seven Who are One, as Martin didn't make a trinity concept for the seven to describe a binding element

I will say there is an important aspect with the religion that a lot of other works don't do like DND good goods.
Why be good. What is good. Why is it important to be and spread good?

How do the Seven uniquely relate to that?

For my story, which is going to be handling religion a lot different that what martin does, the seven has this idea of wellness. Basically you need each of the seven aspects in your life in order to be fulfilled. And emotions like greed, dishonesty, vanity, ectera are imbalances or distractions that prevent you from achieving those seven aspects.

My idea with the church of the seven is that the only way to be happy in life is to be the best version of yourself. To be the strongest, most loving, and noble person you can be you have to follow the seven aspects. And if you don't, you will never be fully happy because you will never be able to reach your full potential as a person.

Basically the church treats the different seven aspects less as people or god to pray to and more guidelines on how to live your life, that the true one god gave to humans to follow. Kind of like how Christianity treats Jesus as gods forgiveness for their sins, The different aspects are treated like the bible in a way, in that to find salvation you have to follow them.

I went a different route but I like this as you can have corrupt or monsterous church people but you can also have very cool and noble members of the Church as characters.

I do find it interesting you went for the Seven being One as important, where I play with how the ideal of the Seven being one is often ignored for a prime god dominating it

I like my villian's to be people. Most people like to think that they do good, and if they ever do evil they usually have an excuse or delusion that lets them think its good. Now that doesn't mean my villian's need some tragic backstory or the abilty to be redemeed, I think a lot of the newer disney movies suffer from this,

But I feel like if I'm going to protray something based on realitly, like a church, then I have an obligation to protray it evenly, even if its going to take an antagonstic role in the story.

For me, I went with the first version of the Andal church was about social order. Its a fedual contract religion.

Everyone has a place and when they die they go to one of Seven Heavens, the other heavens support the Heaven of the Father. So even in death and peace, the social classes serve the highest among them. A life of obligation is rewarded with a perfected version of that life which is good yet still bound by duty to the greater social forces.

For me the form of social control the church is going to have is that a big part of being your best self and fully realizing all of the seven aspects is that you have to live your life based on what standing you are in. So if your a farmer than being a good person involves working your hardest and being respectful of the father IE your lord.

While if your a woman, being you best self involves having children, staying in the house, and being respectful to your husband. basically the aspects are creatively interpretative to maintain the status quo.

I like this as it keeps a reasonable moral focus, while I went for the idea that the Andal religion is hard built around the conquest of Westros coming from Andal unity and order brought by their divinely settled system.
