My idea for Mineta is that he's always been pretty awkward, because for him if he's interested in something he'll talk about it for hours, not really having the social skills to notice when's someone annoyed or not interested. Yeah, one of the hardest parts about writing an argument is making both sides sound good. Even if you have a side you want to take, you still have to make the other side sound believable and something that character would say. I wanted Aziwan to be wrong about mental health, but at the same time from a completely understandable direction.

I will definitely show some more tender moments from him later, don't want to bash him or make the readers hate him. it'll be a little difficult though since he's going to be a primary antagonist at least in the beginning.

Antagonist doesn't mean unsympathetic. Opposed goals and emotions but independent of this gestures of good teaching from Aizwae and you can have him cause her guilt as he us right to suspect her of being a danger

But at the same time she does care about the students and is trying really hard to justify to herself that she's doing whats best for them and that the heroes in their ivory towers would never understand. Lots of complicated emotions.
