How did the comics touch on the issue of fire and Earth nation mixed families? Cultural fusions? Fire nation business and trade and how it is all entangled

I haven't read any of the comic's to be honest. lol. I haven't heard the best things about them so I'll pick and choose what i want from it. But with the colonies, a lot of them consider themsleves as apart of the firenation. hell a lot of them where already pretty independent form the Earth kingdom for a long time before the war and had ties with the fire Nation because of preestablished trade routes.

Is Avatar verse religion like ancestor worship of great chi warriors and benders mixed with venerating local and greater spirits?

Now the fire kingdom kind of looks down upon them, thinking their basically country bumpkins, but the key take away is that they still consider them apart of the firenation if a little less developed and a little different. These aren't conqured territory these are fully assimilated provinces.

I always thought with Avatar religion it would be worship of your ancestors, with the Avatar being proof of reincarnation also being proof you will someday see your love ones again in a new life.

What is being a concubine like and how does that infringe on Katera's sexuality and control over her body? Play up the domination and corruption here.

My thinking is that in the past concubines were taken from defeated enemy's and are basically part trophy, part hostage, and great effort was taken to make their open enslavement as humiliating as possible through various rituals and court procedures as a way to show the power and superiority of the fire lord.

Now of course concupines haven't been in use for a long time and were far out of fasion and the only reason Zuko considered it was the politc's. Since with a fire lord the children of conucbine don't inherit. The wife does, with the woman being named wife being the head of the household and holding the respect and authority of the harem.

Zuko named all of his woman as concubines basically trying to say they were all equally loved by him and that any of his children could inherit the throne. Basically it was him chickening out on choising a head wife. Not realizing this was him reaffirming his power and control and telling his people that despite the avatar's defeating his father he's not changing the fire nation's way.

Ursa Is sweetly convincing Katara and Zuko those traditions are needed and useful and they should play along and its just pretend dears

Katara especially since her relationship as Aang's sister is very well known.

My thinking on this is Ursa we know nothing about. The easy thing is to make her a saint, but she married Ozai and was born into the Fire Nation culture. She should be a Fire nation woman.
