Next chapter is going to be Lilith trying to convince Charlie to come to a party and in the proccess Lilith gives a quick rundown on all the political parties of hell and which ones might be intrested in investing in the hotel. Which Charlie ignores completely because she's really upset that Lilith refuses to let her bring anyone over from the hotel.

Not only is it a primer on the elite of hell and Liliths influence over them, but it character building too. Lilith is ruthlessly pragmatic and rightfully thinks Charlie's new "friends" would embarrass her in front of the elite of hell and if she wants this hotel to succed and get the money and resources she needs, then Charlie needs to learn how to at least pretend to be a good little princess for one night.

And its true that Charlie does need to learn politic's and Liltih is genuinely trying to help. but from Charlies perspective, her mom is making her abandoned her friends and go back to playing politic's which was something she hated and was one of the reasons she decided to leave.

It shows that Charlie can be too stubborn for her own good sometimes, and that Lilith has trouble telling people she cares even when she's trying to help.

Lilith doesn't feel like she should have to explain and Charlie takes principle over the practical

To make Charlie not sound like a complete idiot, you could have her make a point that allies can't be trusted to fight for you through thick and thin. There's a limit to politics that genuine relationships doesn't have the same problem

Just got back from dinner. I really like that idea. Charlies other big thing is that she's making a hotel for redeeming lost souls and as much as she tries to dress it up, at the end of the day most of hell is not going to like it.

Trying to play politic's is kind futile when your doing the exact opposite of what people want. And she's better of being true to her principles and trying to win people over that way rather than trying to lie or suger coat something you can't.

You never heard of the video game system shock? Damn that's like the grand daddy of survival horror and rpg video games. If you like Bioshock most of its ideas where basically ripped off from System Shock which is about an AI called Shodan, taking over a space staion where a top secret super hacker/soilder is sent in to stop her.
