When Omiman comes to their dimension he is attacked by a trio of demigods of the Flaxen pantheon. Divinely empowered champions with scifi tech. Three true war gods vs the artificial Viltrumite Ares. Their battle destroys cities.
Omiman suffers cataclysmic wounds but succeeds and slaughters them before ruining the rest of the planet.

The symbolism is Omiman the Uber being defeats the deity empowered as the old krypton empire warriors abandoned their gods in pursuit of combat perfection

Yeah in a straight fight, Superman is physically stronger, but Viltrum's are like cockroaches. They can survive wounds that would cripple Superman and be ready to fight in again in a couple of days or weeks.

And I like that idea with the gods, also ties in with one of the reasons Superman is so strong is that he's cosmically attuned with the last of the Kryptonian gods that Viltrum abandoned. The gods preferring to potentially die with Superman than be twisted into something they're not.

I was pondering for Superman, it's him saving people that is important. Solar God magic powered shields and healing and super speed and other weird powers.

Which mean's he's got a faster and better reaction time than Superman since he doesn't flinch from pain or injuries.

This aspect of enduring battle rage can play into Mark's development. During the Flaxen Invasion Eve is hurt and he's trying to save people but can't and his humanity shuts off. He starts punching and kicking and doing wrestling moves where he flies up with people and slams them down.

Could also be interesting to explore Darksides connection with Viltrum since him being the god of tyranny sounds right up Viltrum's alley. Although I've never been that into the whole New gods concepts DC introduced.

He's bleeding and broken and hurting but he doesn't stop. Bones explode, blood shatters and splatters, organs crumble and bodies rip. He's dripping in a robe of blood and wearing a mask of viscera.

But he's going to lose to a Flaxen counterattack and die.
Then Omiman shows up.

It's like a bullet that can punch and rend and smash is flying from Flaxen to Flaxen.

Omniman taking advantage of his impossible speeds and maneuverability to slingshot and rip apart the Flaxens faster than they can even react. I really like the idea that Viltrum Martial art's fully integrates flying into their abilities using it to make punches and kicks from different angles that would be stupidly impractical if you couldn't ignore gravity.

Lol. I now have this scene in my head where Dick Grayson trying to impress Barbra who's been hanging out with Mark, by imitating Mark's martial art style only to fall on his ass as he goes for a kick that goes up to high causing him to slip. Which then Mark does perfectly, again taking advantage of the fact he can fly to keep from falling.

With the Bat family I want if your good for it as your the writer here to lean into the ninja part. Have the bat family with high tech armor and gadgets and weapons combined with Chi powers.

Chi being a power source that is inherently never super strong but gives them kung fu magic techniques to use as street level super fighters.
And this take on the Flaxen Invasion serves to set a new tone for the Omiman of the story.
He is still a viltrumite conqueror but his motive and emotion for obliterating the Flaxens is different.

They atttacked Mark and his kids. They attacked a team of young supers he trained.
Its from a place of justice. He's acting in his perspective as the hero. After the invasion, Batman and Superman console Mark but Omiman says Mark should be proud.

He was strong and protected his friends and the people. He was a warrior. A true viltrumite knight and he focused on the real goal. Saving earth lives.
This will evolve later into the beliefs that have Mark fight Omiman

He killed the flaxens in a very emotional and uncontrollable way which is the exact opposite of how he usually acts. He did it to protect his son rather than for pure calculated conquest. And with the bats I won't mention the chi in the beginning.

But I will have Omniman repeatedly mentioned how bullshit there whole normal human shtick is and have a neat little arc with Mark earning enough trust with the batgirls for them to reveal some of their tricks.
